Our adorable log cabin is a 1 bedroom loft with a queen size bed and a full bath. It is 930 square feet of coziness, constructed of large logs which makes it very unique. Wake up and gaze out at the lake without getting out of bed or better yet, have breakfast in bed, it has a great view from the loft. Enjoy spending days around the cabin, we have fishing (catch and release only), two kayaks and one canoe for lazy trips around the lake. Go swimming right outside your front door to cool down. Bring your dog, there is a large fenced in back yard for hours of play time. Cook on our charcoal grill (charcoal included) and enjoy a great meal at the picnic table or on our large front porch. If you enjoy walking, walk on the many miles of roads on Line Runner Ridge, take a hike in the woods or around the lake. After a long day at the cabin, enjoy the fire pit in the back yard fixing smore's or grab a drink and take a relaxing bath in our old fashion claw foot bath tub with tee light candles. Play some good old fashion board games or just kick back and watch TV. The living room has an electric “old fashion stove” to set the mood. Located 5 minutes from Brevard is the fabulous Brevard Music Center. Situated on a wooded 180-acre campus, founded in 1936, the Music Center is one of this country's premier summer training programs and music festivals. This is only the beginning of the music scene Brevard has to offer: The Porter Center at Brevard College hosts many world renowned artists as well as local talent. There are many other local venues hosting local and regional musicians. The Phoenix Lounge features a different musician each night of the week. You are guaranteed to find something for even the pickiest of music enthusiasts.

Close to the Brevard Music Center you will find The Bracken Mountain Preserve, a 395 acre recreation area, owned by the City of Brevard. Mountain bikers, trail runners and nature lovers can explore its 7.1 miles of trails. Bracken Mountain trail connects directly to the Pisgah National Forest trail system.

Dupont State Forest

If some light hiking and waterfalls are what you're looking for, then Dupont State Forest should be your destination. This is where we first took Lola for a hike after she came into our lives. Bonus: It's also where the first Hunger Games movie was filmed!

Frying Pan

This is a nice short hike up an easy forest service road to a lookout tower. 1.5 miles roundtrip, with 360 degree views at the top.

Black Balsam

Some of the most popular hiking in the area. This can be a short out-and-back, or a nice loop. Choose your own adventure!

Looking Glass

Venture down to our little town of Brevard to check out this more strenuous hike to the top of one of the most unique and iconic geographic features of our area. A great 6.5 mile hike.

Art Loeb

If you're going to be spending more than just the weekend in the area and are looking for a challenge, you can give the 30.1-mile Art Loeb trail a try. We've done it twice now, taking 3 days/2 nights each time to backpack it. Let us know if this is up your alley and we'll share some valuable advice about confusing intersections and water sources!
Enjoy nearby Pisgah Forest: 15 minute drive: Home of the nation’s first school of forestry where you can picnic, camp, hike, rock climb, fish, swim, slide, float, hunt, bike, mountain bike, ride your horse, rent a horse, learn about forestry, find waterfalls, sightsee, experience the NC Fish Hatchery, navigate the Blue Ridge Parkway, or just relax! Brevard features expert outdoor guides for every level of outdoor experience. Whether you are with your family for a picnic, taking a day hike or looking for something more challenging, there is adventure for everyone. The Hub, Sycamore Cycles and Pura Vida Adventures are located right at the entrance to the forest. You are guaranteed to find whatever level of adventure you are after. Take an easy day hike or go more extreme with kayaking, rock climbing or canyoneering.

Dupont State Forest: 20 Minute Drive: Explore Triple, Bridal Veil, Hooker, High and Wintergreen Falls. Cedar Rock Mountain with its hundreds of acres of exposed granite makes it a popular destination for Bikers and Hikers! DuPont offers mountain biker ride opportunities ranging from easy forest roads to exciting single track. All trails are open to horses except for Triple Falls Trail and a few foot trails that are clearly marked. You can also take a Hunger Games Tour and feel like Katniss Everdeen for a day.

Historic Hendersonville: 30 minute drive: Visit the Carl Sandburg home, Flat Rock Playhouse State Theater and Apple Festival street fair (Aug 29- Sept 1). Great shopping along Main Street! West First Wood Fired Pizza will not disappoint you!

Asheville NC: 45 minute drive: The “Big City” offers a little bit for everyone: from fine dining to food trucks, walking trails to zip line tours, breweries to The Sky Bar, chocolates to chocolate covered potato chips, high class to hippie, homemade ice cream to homemade quilts, Mexican to Moroccan, trolley tours to comedy tours, downtown to the River Arts District. Whatever you are looking for you will find it here, especially if you are looking for delicious food or locally crafted beers. Asheville is Beer City USA with countless breweries popping up each year. It has been called a mini Portland. Asheville is a place you do not want to miss; with the motto “Keep Asheville Weird” you know you are in for a treat.

The cabin's large picture windows frame meticulously maintained pastures bordered by streams and springs that flow into a pond located directly in front of the cabin. The covered porch overlooks a waterfall that is beautiful to look at and soothing to hear, especially as one drifts off to sleep. The cabin has an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living room area. The living room is tastefully furnished with a couch and two armchairs. For entertainment, there is a flat screen television, a DVD player, and unlimited internet via fiber optic for streaming TV or surfing the web.

The master suite downstairs has a king size bed, walk in closet, and private bath. The soothing sound of the water is particularly nice in this bedroom. Upstairs is a roomy loft area with another full bath, a queen bed as well as two single beds. One of the single beds can be collapsed and moved out of the way if not needed. The cabin is air conditioned and separate temperature controls in the master bedroom, loft, and great room ensure maximum comfort during the summer months.

The Kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric range, refrigerator with an ice maker, dishwasher, blender, and coffee maker. There is also a stacked washer and dryer unit. Additionally there is a barbecue grill and outside dining area located behind the cabin in its private yard. Access to the property is private, entry is via an electric gate. Located just off of Hwy 64, we are convenient to Cashiers, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway, and Highlands to the West, Brevard and Hendersonville to the East, Asheville to the north, and the upstate of South Carolina to the South. All of these locations have a lot to offer from great restaurants to great antiquing. The major hubs of Atlanta to the south and Charlotte to the east are both only 2 1/2 hours drive away.

Transylvania county is the land of waterfalls and hiking, biking, cycling, and sightseeing destinations are literally only minutes away. For hikers and mountain bikers, Jocassee State Park is only 2.3 miles down the road and for cyclists there are miles of bike routes all through Transylvania county. Should fly fishing, tubing, or kayaking interest you, both the Davidson river and the French Broad Rivers are just minutes away. For the horse enthusiast, there are several stables in the area that offer trail rides, but reservations are a must. We are also close to DuPont State Forest, Pisgah State Forest, and Caesars Head State Park. The Biltmore Estate with its winery, grounds, and gardens in Asheville is only 35 miles north.

Because of the numerous water features and four legged animals already on the property, we are unable to accommodate pets or small children. But if you are looking for a place geared towards the adult traveler, Falling Water Farm is for you.

Made with couples and single guests in mind... Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains only 8 miles from the heart of Brevard is our private studio retreat. Outside city limits, the rural setting brings peace and relaxation. At an elevation of approximately 2,500 feet, our secluded home overlooks the wooded hillside.

Your private entrance opens to a large, well-lit room. The queen bed, living area and kitchenette make up the studio. Above the fireplace set in fieldstone is a flat screen HDTV that can be pulled out and turned to face whichever part of the room you are seated. The Kitchenette includes Refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, Air Fryer Grill/bake (we do not have a standard oven), Nuwave hot plate, drip coffee maker, blender and kitchen accessories (cookware, plates, glasses, mugs...) are supplied in cabinets and pantry. The pantry provides extra storage as well as an area for the free standing garment rack. An iron, ironing board and other necessities are included for your convenience. Note: Fireplace is electric. No need for wood indoors. Also note, a queen air mattress is available upon request.

The studio is designed for two people with short visits in mind. Maximum stay: 7 nights.

Entry to the studio is accessible via a walkway which runs along the back of the house and is covered by our second story deck. The first part of this walkway has storage against the building for home supplies. Outside your private area, there is a picnic table and seating area with a view of the hillside and forest. There are three steps that lead to your private entrance. It is not wheelchair accessible.

Starlink fast speed WiFi Streaming services include YouTubeTV, Stars, Prime, Paramount +, Peacock and Roku.

Relax around the firepit overlooking the hillside. Please bring locally purchased firewood if you wish to have a fire. An attachment for grilling is available. We also have a small charcoal grill just right for two available upon request. Bring charcoal if that’s your preference.

We are pet-friendly… “dog” friendly. Our PET FEE is $25 PER DOG PER STAY. Sorry, no cats or puppies. Two small dogs or one large dog.

We have a social dog who enjoys playing with other dogs and is usually off-leash. Charlie will most-likely be the first to greet you. Our yard is not fenced.

Our road is part gravel and part paved.

Note: Our water is better than bottled. The well water is treated with a high end filtration system. Feel free to drink from the sink! Also, we are on-site, so if there’s anything you need during your stay, just ask!

- "This may be a studio apt, but it functioned and felt like a three room vacation condo, with your own private balcony. Good set up, privacy, excellent functionality, nice hot shower and roomy bathroom, and great sleeping bed. The "living" room is an absolute eye draw with it's beautiful stone fireplace. The scenery to the apt is peaceful and serene, and a pleasure to take in (once you figure the easiest route in...spouse and I are navigationally challenged). Lists, and maps, and a book of notes were great tools for planning our activities. Appropriately themed arts and crafts and mountain decor keep the mountain getaway feel going. Didnt get to see a bear or white squirrel, but the opportunity is there ! Enjoyable !!"

DuPont offers mountain biker ride opportunities ranging from easy forest roads to exciting single track. All trails are open to horses except for Triple Falls Trail and a few foot trails that are clearly marked. You can also take a Hunger Games Tour and feel like Katniss Everdeen for a day.

This cabin in beautiful Connestee Falls, gated community provides 2 bedrooms with queen size bed in master and two twins in extra bedroom, 2 full baths with tubs, open livingroom/diningroom/kitchen concept provides a family of 4 comfortable accommodations. A wrap around deck with outdoor table and chairs for nature lovers to enjoy. A fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops will allow meal preparation on days "eating in" is preferred.
