HOW DO I REACH THE CABIN? WILL I NEED A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE?
You will not need a 4-wheel drive unless snow or ice is present. Once inside the neighborhood, you will encounter a single-lane, 1/3-mile gravel road. While it is not considered steep for this area, it may feel uneasy to those who have not driven on gravel mountain roads, particularly if arriving after dark.

WILL I SEE WILDLIFE?
Possibly - we are located at the edge of a wilderness area so it is possible you will see a snake, field mouse, or bear. Most common sighting is the NC Rat Snake which is harmless and protected by law. Occasionally, a guest reports a bear or deer sighting.

The air-conditioned country house consists of 2 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a coffee machine, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer. Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Guests at the country house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Sylva, like canoeing and hiking. Guests can also warm up near the outdoor fireplace after a day of fishing. Asheville Regional Airport is 62 miles away.

- "Can’t say enough about how organized, stocked, and are very comfortable two bedroom cabin. Lovely spot on the mountain, good thing we brought our truck! Even all of the lights were labeled for an easy transition, nice quality, bathroom towels, and full supplies for laundry. we made a fire in the fire pit one night. Enjoyed all of the local hikes and decided to do river tubing in the Oconolufee river, great fun but only minor bruises. Ha ha. We even went to the local HART theater for a very nice production call brilliant things. Spent one day in Asheville all day spent at the river art district, picked up some lovely places and then had dinner at the Omni Grove Inn Vue1913 had a fabulous dinner with a lovely waitress name, Sandy.
