Pull out your bicycle and ride a 24 mile loop from Paint Creek to Hot Springs or a shorter 12 mile loop through Paint Creek Corridor and back.

Our Cottage is in the city limits of Hot Springs and 1 mile to the main part of town. It is perched on a bluff overlooking the French Broad River Valley. The interior furnishings are cozy and comfortable with central HVAC and a gas fireplace with a remote. Large spa/hot tub, come soak under the stars! 3 1/2 miles down River Rd. is National Forest land with a park on the French Broad with 2 fishing piers, pic-nic and grilling area and pavilion. Our home is well stocked for your comfort with comfortable beds, nice linens, TV, Wi-Fi, a gas fireplace, charcoal grill, and a lovely porch to sit and take in the view. Roast marshmallows around the fire pit. It's located in a perfect spot that close to the center of Hot Springs, but far enough away to enjoy getting back to nature.

The Sundance cabin is a romantic, one bedroom, one bathroom get away is perfect for a couples who enjoy nature. Please be aware that google and other gps devices are sometimes incorrect. All roads are open to us now. Please follow our directions. This cabin has a front porch with rocking chairs and a hot tub that outdoors under the stars. There are lots of hiking trails for all levels of hikers. We have a beautiful waterfall that is a short and easy walk from the cabin. The trail system also hooks up with the Appalachian trail so the possibilities are endless. Fishing is available in the creek in front of the cabin or on the larger creeks in our area. The creeks are stocked yearly with trout. Stargazers will enjoy the uninterrupted beauty of the night sky. This cabin has a spectacular view of the moon rise. There are two labyrinths on the property for you to walk if you choose. We love sharing our 100 acres of paradise with you. Our land adjoins the national forest so the possibilities are really endless.
We are located 13 miles from Hot Springs where there are quaint little shops, restaurants, an outfitters store and rafting company. We are about a 1 hour drive from Asheville, NC, home of the beautiful Biltmore mansion. There are many activities in our area including, river rafting, kayaking, zipling, hiking, horse back riding and gem mining. There is also local bluegrass music, wonderful drives that lead you on a quilt trail or a barn trail.
Your cabin comes equipped with everything you need for you stay. We provide Wifi. We are sticklers about cleanliness and care for our cabins. It has fresh linens, cooking utensils, a kitchen, an outdoor grill, an outdoor fire pit with free firewood, Roku streaming tv, dvd, cd, music system, electric fire place. The hot tub is completely drained, cleaned and refilled with fresh spring water after each stay.
For your convenience, we provide a self check in process. You may arrive anytime after 4 pm to enjoy your place in paradise. The hot tub will be warm, the lights on and the key available on the table. We live about 1/2 mile from the property, so if you need anything, you are welcome to give us a call. We believe in allowing our guests their privacy, so you will not be disturbed unless you need something.
This cozy cabin is located in the Western NC mountains surrounded by Pisgah National Forest, just off the Appalachian trail near Lemon Gap and Max Patch. This makes it a great place to offer trail support if you happen to have a friend or family member who is hiking the trail. The cabin is also within a day excursion to the Smoky Mountain National Park.
There is easy access to the French Broad River which offers a wide variety of river rafting, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The NC Arboretum, the Folk Life Center, the Blue Ridge Parkway are attractions that many of our guests enjoy. Cherokee and Maggie Valley are also within reasonable driving distance and offer great day excursions.
Max Patch is a short drive from our cabin and offers a spectacular 360 degree view from the top. It is an easy to moderate hike from the parking lot to the top. Many of our guests visit there to watch the sun go down, or to take a day hike. The Appalachian Trail goes right across the ridge. If you are lucky enough to visit us around the time of the full moon, you can get a spectacular show from the top of Max Patch. If you go up on the day just before the moon is full, the sun will set just as the moon is rising. Standing on the top of the mountain during this time is a unique, spectacular experience.
Wild flower enthusiasts will love exploring the woods surrounding the cabins. There are many beautiful and rare species of flowers blooming from early spring to late autumn. We have been fortunate enough to spot showy orchids, trillium, wild geranium, tiger lily, jack in the pulpit, lady slipper, lily of the valley just to name a few. Early spring also brings dogwood blossoms and wild azaleas in abundance. The Rhododendron are particularly spectacular in the summer months as they flourish along our creeks and cover the hillsides with pinks and whites. It seems that almost every day from April to late October, something new is blooming in these beautiful mountains.
Bird lovers will be thrilled to find that we are a major migration route for many songbirds and butterflies. We have a huge population of hummingbirds. A very thrilling site is the indigo buntings who visit our area in the spring. They flash an incredible incandescent blue when they fly by. We have birds such as the nuthatches, towhees, cardinals, orioles, wrens, hawks and many others. We also have many goldfinches and purple finches.

It was a 25 minute drive into Hot Springs to get my kids from the trail and deliver them back to it. If I needed to be back in that area of the country, I would definitely stay there again."

Enjoy an outdoor, private hot tub filled with only fresh, hot and natural mineral water. We fill the tub with only fresh mineral water for your arrival, setting the temp to 100 degrees. You may adjust the temp up or down at your leisure.

The Cedar Cabin is dog friendly for one dog (no cats or other pets, please).

The Cedar Cabin has a full kitchen with electric range, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and all the pots/pans/dishes you need to put a meal together. There is a propane grill out the back door.

The Cedar Cabin, on Broadwing Farm's 85 acres, is set in a private cove surrounded by sheltering pines and is our most secluded cabin. With its cozy one bedroom/ one bath design and generous screen porch, you can spend your stay relaxing and listening to the breeze whisper through the forest. The Cedar Cabin offers a full kitchen, TV with DVD, and Roku with complementary Netflix and HBO, Wifi, AC/propane fireplace and propane grill. The private bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa, making this cabin well suited for a couple or small family. All towels and linens are provided. During the warmer months, a couch on the glorious screened porch allows for extra sleeping and, according to some guests, a spectacular napping spot. As this cabin is situated in the forest, what you give up in views you gain with complete privacy and the screen porch.

During the growing season (April - October), we grow a variety of crops in a large kitchen garden and invite our guests to come pick fresh, organic vegetables during the growing season. All our vegetables are complimentary. Our guests are also welcome to enjoy fishing in our scenic farm pond.

We also sell No Spray/Not Certified Organic U-Pick Blueberries for picking in June and July.

Broadwing Farm is less than one mile from downtown Hot Springs, high on a plateau with one of the most breathtaking views of the French Broad River Valley. The Cedar Cabin is one of two cabins on our 85 acre organic farm that our family has been tending since 1992. The natural mineral water at Broadwing Farm is drawn from a well deep below the valley and comes up at 92 degrees. The hot tub is outside. The tub and cabin are completely private and surrounded only by pine trees for a relaxing soak and stay under the stars.

Hot Springs, NC is a rare and beautiful rural community offering a wonderful opportunity for guests to experience the French Broad River, the Appalachian Trail (both of which run straight through town), gorgeous mountain views, and the all the atmosphere and history of a small mountain town. THE PROPERTY:
A very contemporary and modern take on the "cabin" theme. With up to date amenities along with full internet connectivity (satellite internet-Starlink) along with significant outdoor entertainment space. This cabin is modern, simple, and remote with many conviences one could want at a cabin.

While this cabin may be slightly more than other cabins in the area its because the cabin was fully renovated 5 years ago both inside and out (large deck for entertaining).

This cabin is tucked away in a quiet valley with few residents. With 16 acres to do as you please it allows you to walk along the property via multiple trails that are throughout the property. There are several artisan springs on the property with water flowing at all times of the year.................

THE CABIN:
This cabin is built for peace and quiet with 700 sq ft of living space it provides 2 bedrooms and 1 bath to allow up to 4 guests to stay in comfort................. (beds are 1 King and 1 Queen bed)

With the large front door in the living room and large sliding glass doors for each bedroom, the cabin has plenty of natural light during the day. It has modern technology to keep you connected – if you want (wireless and multiple movie/tv stream capabilities) [please note – phone serviced is very limited and there is no hard line on the property, but the cabin was just installed with Fiber Optic internet which is “the gold standard” with more than 600 mbs speed and up to 1 Gb-you can be a social media influencer and upload anything you want.

There are 4 decks – 1 off each bedroom upstairs, front deck, and a large back ground level deck.................

Wildlife varies from day to hour to hour. Deer, rabbits, squirrels, Hawks, Grouse, Turkeys, Possum, and Raccoons have all been sited and even captured on Trail cams throughout the basically it is a quiet and safe forest.

Come experience the beauty of rural North Carolina from the back of our bus, Chester. Please be aware that this is a glamping-type set up--the bathroom is in the barn (see photos) and there is no heat or A/C on the bus--though there is a fan! The bus is located at our farm in Hot Springs, NC. It's parked 20 feet from a beautiful flowing river, that's a great place to cool off in the summertime. The bus is in an enclosed field so you're welcome to bring your pup and let them roam the pasture!

We do want to warn you that there is no true fridge/freezer on the bus. We have a large cooler that you’re welcome to use just grab yourself some ice on the way! There’s ice for sale for $2 at the gas station 2 miles down the road :) Also, there are no large grocery stores out here, just a small general store, so you may want to stop at a bigger grocery store on the way.

We have one field that’s reserved for guests staying at the bus, so that’s all yours! The barn bathroom is also only for you. There is also a fire pit in the bus field that you’re welcome to use (just bring your own wood! They sell it at Trust General Store down the road if you need.)

Lola's Cottage is a small, 4-room house that was constructed in the early 1940's. Located in Spring Creek, NC and surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Lola's Cottage (on the same property as Lola's Place) overlooks our family farm where you can sit and watch the cows roam all day. This house is perfect for those wanting an environment that resembles how a WW2 era mountain farm family lived, but with the basic amenities of modern living (full kitchen, bathroom, wifi, tv).

The cottage was hand-built by Lola's husband just before he was drafted into World War II. It features a living room with original hardwood flooring, a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom (only accessible through one of the bedrooms). We just built a brand new back deck and had a new roof installed along with repainting both the exterior and interior of the house.

APPALACHIAN TRAIL
Chickadee Cabin offers incredible access to the Southern trailhead of the Appalachian Trail which is located literally 100 steps from the front door. Head left to hike down into town, or right to head up on your trail adventure, immediately leaving town behind and surrounding yourself with nature.

WE LIVE UPSTAIRS: This space is entirely separate with its own entrance. It is worth mentioning that Chili and I do live upstairs. We’ve never had any issues but thought it worth sharing upfront. There are two layers of soundproofing and insulation between the floors, and we provide a white noise machine for your added comfort.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS: If you have more than 2 in your group wanting to stay, we also offer camping in the field. There is a pull-out couch if you have one (possibly two) adults, or kids.

2. Quiet hours after 10 pm to be good neighbors.

3. SHOES/BOOTS OFF in the house will keep the inside in top condition. This one is a big help!

4. We have a very sensitive septic tank. Please only flush toilet paper and, well, people stuff. We've had problems in the past and it's an ordeal to remedy.

5. Please FOLLOW CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS in the Guest Manual before departing.

This studio apartment in a fully restored home built in 1900 is RUSTIC, TINY and SIMPLE with a dedicated PARKING spot. Exposed BRICK walls greet you in both the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom is shower only, but water is hot. This is an INTIMATE place for anyone looking for an outdoor adventure base or anyone looking to RECONNECT with NATURE.

The space
Originally used as the local General Store, this property is now 3 units. The HIDE AWAY is a sweet little corner, second level unit in the back, ~150 square feet, with direct access to the road. Sit on your porch to hear the RUSHING WATERS of a 20-30 foot wide creek and soak in the crisp mountain air. Across the road and up a steep bank sits almost 7,500 acres of Pisgah NATIONAL FOREST. The Appalachian Trail is 200 feet as the crow flies, but best navigated by the paved roads.

What I love best about this little nook is the proximity to town, mineral springs, the Appalachian Trail, rafting and more! The sounds of the creek heard from the front porch help create a white noise for the soundtrack of your stay. Nature helps soothe any kinks you may have packed in with you, so that when you leave, you can feel more vibrant and centered within yourself. Let these old mountains and this incredible creek cradle you and lull you back into a relaxing state, or help get you refocus your energy for an existing or future project.

For those who love to hike or walk (or who want to avoid trying to find parking in the small town of Hot Springs) in 10 minutes you can be at the Appalachian Trailhead or in the Town of Hot Springs to dine or shop, tube, etc. and in approx. 15-20 minute you can be soaking in your own reserved tub at the hot mineral springs (or about a 2-3 minute drive).

Enjoy the pitch black nights, filled with incredible stars. Whether coming for a peaceful retreat, the restorative mineral springs or for an outdoor adventure extravaganza, the HIDE AWAY at Fowler's Bend serves as a solid base for all your endeavors.

Panther Branch Farm sits on 30 acres of lush mountainous terrain with streams, waterfalls and hiking trails to explore. On our small farm we have chickens, bees, goats, and alpacas that love to be hand-fed. Unwind in our outdoor spa, with a sauna and a natural spring water bath or simply relax and take in the peaceful views of the National Forest from the front door of this beautiful Airstream.

Great location just outside the quaint mountain town of Hot Springs where you can find white water rafting, kayaking and tubing on the French Broad River. Excellent trout fishing on nearby Spring Creek. Only fifteen minutes to a stunning sunrise or sunset hike at Max Patch on the Appalachian Trail. Panther Branch Farm is a relaxing location for a romantic escape or just a getaway.

Pet Policy: We love having animals on our property and we try to let them be as free as possible. However, the safety of our guests and animals is our top priority. At Panther Branch Farm we have a “dog park” environment. Our two friendly dogs and Frankie the goat love running around the property and playing in the woods. In order to maintain this level of freedom, we do not allow dogs that show any type of aggressive behavior towards other animals or humans. Thank you for respecting our policy and let us know if you have any questions!

Our driveway is long and steep in places. AWD or 4WD is highly recommended. If you are driving a FWD, the best advice we can give you is to keep going at a steady pace. If you slow down, you will spin out. A rear wheel drive is not recommended; however, there is space to park at the bottom of the driveway which is a 5-minute walk to the cabin.

The Airstream is in a remote location. We suggest loading the location into your GPS prior to starting your drive. The closest major grocery stores are about 45 minutes away. If you plan on cooking, we recommend picking up food before coming to the property.

A restored barn offers all guests a space to gather, relax, enjoy meals together or meet new friends around the fire. We are located 7 miles from the town of Hot Springs, famous for a natural hot spring spa and a plethora of outdoor adventures including the spectacular Appalachian Trail. Evidence of smoking including cigarette burns or smell of smoke in cabins can result in being fined.

Come experience the best the rural North Carolina has to offer on our picturesque farm, only 45 minutes from Asheville. The property has a beautiful creek running through it, a shared hot tub, lots of land to roam and play with your pups or kids, a fire pit, and a covered deck with a bbq. Our farm is located 25 minutes from Max Patch, and also 25 minutes from the peaceful mountain town of Hot Springs, where you can go whitewater rafting, hiking, craft beer drinking, & southern food eating.

The space
While the house is all yours, the grounds are shared. You’re welcome to use the fire pit by the river, give your pup some off leash time, etc. Just be aware that there might be other people around! We have two rentals on the property, and we also enjoy playing in the fields with our dogs and friends, so don’t expect your own private farm! The hot tub is shared by the two rentals, and located out by the river. We just ask if the other renters are waiting you limit your time there to an hour— you can always go back later! If you want to let your dogs off leash you’re welcome to do so in the big field to the right of the driveway (when looking at the house).

We ask that you keep to the right side of the property- you’re welcome to us the big field to the right of the driveway, the hot tub, and the riverfront. There is another rental next door so don’t go poking around their house and patio, and they’ll do the same for you :)

Other things to note
We do have a flock chickens that live behind the house, they won’t bother you if you don’t bother them! If you let your dog off leash please make sure to watch them if the chickens are around, and check that the there are no chickens in the field before you let your dog off! If there are chickens around, just walk near them with your dog ON leash and they’ll run off!

We do have a few chickens that live behind the house, they won’t bother you if you don’t bother them! If you let your dog off leash please make sure to watch them if the chickens are around (though they’ll probably hide in their coop). If the chickens are in a field you want to use with your dog, just walk them through on leash and the chickens will run off and then you can let your dog off! They do poop in the yard, so if you care about poop shoes, watch your step around their coop! We do clean their poop off the porch but occasionally they outsmart us and poop there after we clean.

The Studio is two rooms, studio apartment and separate full bathroom. Bed is very comfortable fold-out queen size futon with mattress pillow-cover. This two story cabin sleeps up to 6 with a king size bedroom downstairs and 4 twin beds upstairs. It features a fully equipped kitchen, linens, private bathroom, and living area. Includes a private backyard with an outdoor grill, fire pit and picnic table.

There are 8 stairs and a gravel path to access the front door.

The space
This is a homestead / working farm. It is a mix of folks who live here long term and volunteers who stay short term for hurricane Helene clean up in the area. It is very rustic and a quiet farm getaway. 4WD or AWD required to get to the cabins. We are accepting reservations for folks who want to volunteer in the area for continued clean up efforts. No pets.

Welcome to The Sage Getaway at Bluff Mountain Nursery. Nestled at the top of the hill in the heart of our plant nursery, you’ll be surrounded by beauty and nature alike. Several greenhouses full of amazing plants to explore. You can also visit our farm to see chickens, pigs, sheep, goats and dogs. The Sage is located on 60 acres of wooded land, with hiking only minutes from the Appalachian Trail and 6 miles from Hot Springs, NC . It’s in a spectacular and unique location with easy road access.

The space
The Sage has a stunning mountain view you can enjoy from the 10'X20' deck which includes a 2-3 person hot tub perfect for outdoor fun. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans and everything you need to cook, 3 burner gas stove/oven, two refrigerator/freezer, K-cup and regular coffee maker and microwave. Open living space offers central AC, dining area, two recliners and a love seat (folds into a bed), fireplace, blue tooth speaker and Smart TV. The bedroom has a King size bed with plenty of closet storage. The Sage will sleep two-three adults or two adults and two small children. Your fur-babies (pets) are welcome too. All bed linens and towels are provided.

The Ferguson Cabin is a brand new home on our family farm located in Spring Creek, NC and surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains.
