- "I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. Communication with the hosts was excellent. They provided so much helpful information on local places to visit for after our hike. The communal glamping bathroom was the nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen at a campsite. A toilet is inside the bus only to be used during bad weather or at night for guest convenience. The property is green and gorgeous, has a little creek on it. There is a grill under a gazebo and the hosts provide propane at no additional cost. We were able to grill hot dogs. The kids LOVED the bus. Also the main house where you check in is STOCKED with little snacks, ice cream, food you can heat up, and other little conveniences available for purchase. All the other structures on the property are adorable! For us the only potential issue was that the door locks on the inside, but unlocks easily with turning the knob. Totally fine if you have older kids or adults. If you have crazy toddlers there’s a potential escape hazard there. But we just barricaded the way out with our bags so it was fine. I would stay there every night if we could! I hope we get to stay again. "

Drogon can accommodate up to 2 guests. since I've been asked many times, this camper is not in a campground, it sits next to my house which is why I can keep the price low. during your stay you have the drive way(we park to the side) so you can pull up as close as you need too.

Other things to note
this is an rv camper, so please know that everything is a bit smaller and space is limited so you may not get the amenities you are used to in a hotel but i try to have the essentials, the water heater is smaller so please don't expect long or back to back showers without waiting a bit for the water to warm up, I appreciate your understanding and look forward to having you stay :)

Cottage on the Greens is a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath home located adjacent to the Waynesville Country Club Golf Course. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, you can view the greens from the large picture window in the living room and from the front yard patio. This home offers a small, but complete, kitchen that is stocked with everything you will need to provide meals. Central A/C with fans in the bedrooms and living room provide plenty of air circulation, especially during cooler months. Hi speed internet and wifi, with smart TV with Roku. This home features easy to adjust, double hung windows, walk-in shower in the master bath, a large walk in closet and new mattresses. Master bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds.

Please note this is a pet friendly property. One dog, 20 pounds or less will be accepted. Additional pet fee will be charged. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. This vacation home is located near the Waynesville Country Club and lends itself to easy access. We do, however, experience inclement weather in this region seasonally, that may limit accessibility; all-wheel drive and/or 4-wheel drive is recommended in late fall or winter to access certain areas in town.

Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is a less than a 30-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

COVID UPDATE: We are actively taking precautions to ensure the maximum safety for all of our guests. These steps include: replacing all blankets/quilts at the house with light weight blankets that are washed and bagged separately between each guest. We're placing all linens into separate bags after being cleaned to ensure the least number of people handle them. We're wiping down all high touch areas (door knobs, handles, railings, etc...) with disinfectant. We're also doing little things like eliminating throw pillows in the living room as an extra step.
