- "I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. Communication with the hosts was excellent. They provided so much helpful information on local places to visit for after our hike. The communal glamping bathroom was the nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen at a campsite. A toilet is inside the bus only to be used during bad weather or at night for guest convenience. The property is green and gorgeous, has a little creek on it. There is a grill under a gazebo and the hosts provide propane at no additional cost. We were able to grill hot dogs. The kids LOVED the bus. Also the main house where you check in is STOCKED with little snacks, ice cream, food you can heat up, and other little conveniences available for purchase. All the other structures on the property are adorable! For us the only potential issue was that the door locks on the inside, but unlocks easily with turning the knob. Totally fine if you have older kids or adults. If you have crazy toddlers there’s a potential escape hazard there. But we just barricaded the way out with our bags so it was fine. I would stay there every night if we could! I hope we get to stay again. "

This vacation home is located near the Waynesville Country Club and lends itself to easy access. We do, however, experience inclement weather in this region seasonally, that may limit accessibility; all-wheel drive and/or 4-wheel drive is recommended in late fall or winter to access certain areas in town.

Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is a less than a 30-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

This vacation home is located near the Waynesville Country Club, and lends itself to easy access. We do, however, experience inclement weather in this region seasonally, that may limit accessibility; all-wheel drive and/or 4-wheel drive is recommended in late fall or winter to access certain areas in town

Home situated on one acre of land with seasonal viewed overlooking Cheoah River which flows directly into Santeetlah Lake.

This old Farmhouse has over 100 years of history and you can feel it. It takes people back to an easier time and to their childhood memories. Isn't that what we all want? Its like visiting Grandma's house. Within walking distance of 3 local craft breweries.

The bathroom is located in the hall; it is your private bath. I have added a curtain that provides you privacy when walking from your bedroom to the bath. I have a Chihuahua/feist mixed dog named Jack. He is very sweet; I try to keep him in my room or on my lap when I have guests. He is a singer!

Waynesville is alive and well after the devastating floods that hit our area on September 27. Our property survived with just a little damage to the grounds, and Main Street along with all of its shops, restaurants, bars, galleries, etc. are open and welcoming visitors as always. You will see debris on the curbs all around town but the cleanup is happening and things are looking better every day!

The space
Check out all that downtown Waynesville has to offer from this trendy studio apartment. Located just a block and a half off of Main Street, you can easily walk (a little up hill) to all of the eclectic shops, galleries, restaurants and bars. If just relaxing is your thing, you can enjoy the outdoors on the covered patio while listening to the creek or using the supplied grill. Basic cable TV and 200mbps Internet are included as well. While this studio is small, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a queen size bed, apartment sized stove with oven, small side by side dorm sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, dinnerware and cookware.

Please be aware the flooding caused damage to our grounds and the surrounding areas, so debris and clean up efforts will be visible.
