This left our party of 7 (5 adults & 2 children) with one useable bathroom & only 2 bedrooms. Blinds were taped up, toilet paper holder downstairs bathroom was broken & lights didn't work, upstairs bathroom toilet seat was broken (with new seat ready for you to install), coffee pot was broken & dumped on my leg. Banister rail on upstairs main entrance is about to fall off & not secure (definitely a safety hazard). Clearly not the property we were promised. Home description shows 2 queen beds that are actually full size beds. We booked this home for 8 people for 2 nights. We were only given 1 washcloth, hand towel, and towel per person for the entire stay. They only had 1 trash bag in the entire house & then you have to haul off your trash when you leave. Upon check-in, property manager stated they only hand out keys & clean homes (obviously not being done but their going to charge you $85 for). Contacted Hotels.com for resolution. Definitely RENTER BEWARE when booking this property! I booked this home because it had an exceptional 10 review. Once we saw the condition of the home, my sister saw there was another bad review that was being hidden. I have photos."

It is sized perfectly for large family gatherings, yet cozy enough for just a few. Just off Beech Mountain are the charming towns of Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock. Each of these are home to great restaurants and shopping. Spend time at Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Caverns, Mystery Hill and the original Mast General Store. With whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, rock climbing, caving, or fly fishing, there is no shortage of world class outdoor activities within a 30-minute drive.

The town of Boone, home to Appalachian State University is close by. There is shopping at the quaint shops and nice restaurants in the downtown area.

The Town of Beech Mountain requires that you have a vehicle that is properly equipped in the event of inclement weather during the winter months. You must have a vehicle with 4WD or chains if there is snow or ice to keep you safe during your visit.

The week of Christmas and the week of New Year must be rented for 4 nights and must begin on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday before the Holiday. The first family to rent their week will determine what days will be left for check-in.

- "First of all let me say we enjoyed our stay. This was a great location ,near Grandfather Mountain and other attractions. The cabin had a well equipped kitchen, main living room with a fire place, nice beds and baths. We would book this property again. A few maintenance items the owner might want to address, the area rug in the living room is curled up along the edge which is a tripping hazard ,Ask me how ii know, there is a closet door broken up stairs ,the air hockey table has a broken power cord which is a fire hazard so we unplugged it."

The winter season brings a touch of magic to the mountain. Enjoy sitting around the Gas log fire and enjoying your hot cocoa or glass of wine. If you have used the ski area we have a small boot dryer in guest suite so you can dry out quickly. Sit back and relax and enjoy all the mountain has to offer and make everlasting memories.

Security camera covers guest driveway & ring doorbell at guest entrance motion is turned off once we see all is ok…ie …no pets not over max occupancy and not all minors.. but you can still use it to contact us immediately if needed.

This new mountain cabin is peaceful and secluded. Perfect location near hiking, golfing, and skiing. Walking distance to hiking trails, 3 miles to golf course, and 3.5 miles to Beech Mtn Ski Resort. The town of Banner Elk and Sugar Mountain are also close and offer great year-round activities for you and your family. The private home features an indoor fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, two large outdoor decks, and two family rooms with smart TV's.

This new home has everything you might need and more for a great getaway! On the main level you will find an open concept kitchen, spacious family room with a smart TV and fireplace, access to the outdoor deck as well as the master bedroom with a king size bed and full bathroom. Downstairs features a second family room with smart TV, full bathroom, access to the lower deck and two additional bedrooms. The second bedroom has a full size bed and the third bedroom has a full size bed with a trundle bed to pull out for extra sleeping space.

Entire 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home

Check-in instruction will be sent the morning of your stay. Access is by keyless door code so you will enter the code given and enter on your own.

The home is private and peaceful - approximately .2 miles away from any neighbors.

You must drive on a 1 mile gravel road which leads you straight to the home. 4-wheel drive is encouraged during winter months as the weather is ever changing and unpredictable. There is enough space in the driveway for 2 large or 3 small vehicles. The perimeter of the drive way is surrounded by big rocks which protects you from a drop off - please be cautious of your surroundings here especially in the dark.

Walk out of the back door to connect onto the local hiking trails. Also, a stream runs through the back and is extremely peaceful during the summer months but please be careful if you choose to explore there.

THIS COTTAGE--clean, cute, comfortable--is also convenient too! Located just 1/2 mile beyond the Beech Mtn. Club pool, tennis, fitness center, and just beyond Coffey Lake fishing pond/walking path, it's close and accessible to activities, yet serene in its quiet, natural setting. Go beyond the house and you'll arrive on St. Andrews Road which follows along the golf course, another fine amenity. Add that to the sunny view of distant mountains, fire pit below the house and fairly easy ingress into the house (8 stair steps) and you've got a home that promises to be warm, welcoming and worthy of your consideration.
The main level touts 2 guest bedrooms (1 king and 1 twin trundle) that share a bath. The kitchen/dining/living area is fresh, bright and open. The kitchen is fully equipped and a joy to use, with more accouterments than most. The dining area takes in the view, and the living room is cozy and inviting, with a stone faced fireplace and gas logs. The main deck has a big gas grill and nice dining set up. Downstairs is where you'll find a large master bedroom/suite with a plump king bed, large private bath, impressive closet and private balcony too. Parking:
Keep in mind there is one designated, free parking space in front of the condo. There are two additional spaces in the parking lot that are first come, first serve. There are additional paid parking lots close by. Message me for additional free parkiing ideas.

Proximity to Slopes:
You're just steps away from the ski slopes, making it convenient to avoid (the awful) traffic during peak ski season or mountain events at Beech Mountain Ski Resort.

Walking distance to many of the popular Beech Mountain restaurants (see "nieghborhood description for details")

*Keep in mind AWD or 4WD will be needed during winter months to get up the mountain. Chains are sold at the base of the mountain in Banner Elk, if needed. Feel free to reach out with more specific questions.

The condo has spiral staircases to upper and lower levels so we suggest packing in duffles or smaller suitcases.

Condo is located alongside the bunny slope where the resort is building the new magic carpet ride. Exact dates of completion are not posted yet. Listing will be updated when details are confirmed by the resort. Prior to magic carpet being completed the condo is “ski-out” only and guests will need to be capable to walk up the bunny slope to condo prior to magic carpet being completed.

Winter season: lift tickets can be purchased online through Beech Mountain Ski Resort’s website and picked up at ticket booth located beside the main lodge.

Ski Rentals: renting from the ski resort is easiest but if you chose to get your skis elsewhere, we recommend you pick up the day before at any of these places (make reservations well in advance)

- "Good" - "We planned a last minute spring break trip, and the host couldn’t have been better about answering questions about the unit. This unit is located right on the slope with the “magic carpet”, which having 7 people who were learning to ski was a huge perk. The place was very clean and the kids had a blast playing the arcade machine. I will definitely check the availability of this unit for future trips to Beech Mountain." - "We loved the ski in ski out house. It was very clean and perfect for what we needed. Our only issue was plumbing in the upstairs bathroom and management was quick to respond and send a plumber. I could not be more pleased with the timely responses and communication from management during our stay. We would book this same place again but earlier in the year before the snow starts to melt. The run behind the house was closed so we didn’t get to experience the true ski in and out. However, we were only minutes from the ski resort so it was still very convenient."

Grandfather Mountain is 17 miles from the accommodation. The nearest airport is Tri-Cities Regional Airport, 60 miles from Rudow Roost.

- "Run, don’t walk…you won’t be sorry!" - "Winter Adventure" - "Great ski apartment"

Ski or tube at nearby Beech Mtn Resort (1.2 miles away) or bring your sled to the free sledding hill. In the warm months visit the resort for some mountain biking or disc golf, or take a hike on the many hiking trails on Beech Mountain. New updates added are LVP floors, new dishwasher, new paint and additional insulation.

There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main level and 3 additional beds in the loft area, accommodating 6 comfortably. The large, open basement has an additional full bathroom, laundry room, game/poker table and reclining sofa and love seat. Come watch the game or bring your game console to play on the 60 inch 4K TV. An HDMI cord and a Nintendo Switch charging cord is provided if you would like to bring your dock and system.

Take a look in the cabinets under the benches - you will find numerous board games and some toys/art supplies.

The deck outside the kitchen has an 4 person dining table and a sectional. It also has string lights! Sit and relax while listening to the trickling water.

There is a deluxe stone fire pit area complete with lighting and adirondack chairs, so bring your s'mores supplies for an cool, crisp evening around the fire.

In the event of snow, a snow shovel and salt is provided for your use at the property. The town scrapes the roads but it can take a while for them to get to all of the roads. As mentioned in the rules, a 4 wheel drive vehicle or snow chains are required in the event that it snows/ices. You will get stuck and be unable to leave if it snows and you aren't prepared.

Speaking of snow, please be prepared with groceries. Always bring extra food just in case you are snowed in. We have Fred's general store which has some basics, as well as Food Lion off the mountain. It is often easier to get what you need for the first night if possible.

Starter essential supplies are provided: paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, a dishwasher pod and a laundry pod. You will likely need to bring extra supplies.

In the bathrooms, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion are provided.

Spices, flour, sugar, cooking spray, aluminum foil, parchment paper, etc. are provided as well as a few k-cups of coffee/hot chocolate. Cleaning supplies, if needed, are available in the laundry room as well as under the kitchen sink. Our coffee maker has both single serve and the full size coffee pot. All cooking utensils, etc are provided. You should have everything you need but feel free to message and ask!

Baby items are available in the laundry room: Pack n' play, high chair, booster seat and two sets of bed bumpers.

Lot's of room to spread out. Driving home one night a bear leisurely strolled across the road. While playing cards on the deck several deer came ambling down the mountain and while packing the car, several wild turkeys strutted down the hill across the street. We were in town to do the Ghost Train at Tweetsie and the Wooly Worm Festival in Banner Elk. We had a great weekend and will make it a regular thing!!"

Clean, comfortable beds with great privacy for those still sleeping as both bedrooms are located downstairs and kitchen and living room is located on 2nd story. Balconies offered great views as we were able to see how busy the mountain was and how packed the parking lot was from right outside the door. When we visit Beech Mountain again, will definitely look into staying here! Since we didn't have great weather, the rain brought us back to the home, where we gathered in the living room playing with the great assortment of board games."

- "Great stay with family. Got snow on the first night. Great communication with the owner. Drive way is steep but that was communicated by the owner. Thank goodness for trucks" - "The communication before the arrival was great even before I booked the cabin. I had a few questions that were answered in great timing. A day or two prior I had the address and how to enter the property. Also Mr. Randall informed me on the parking in case of snow & ice. We traveled with 6 people (a 2022 Honda Ridgeline & 2021 Chevrolet Malibu) the the steep hill was no problem. Entry was easy (once we realized we could also enter through the bottom). The property was clean. A few things were missed like leftover soap in bathroom 1, the keurig had leftover grinds, ice machine was already filled with ice & the fire pit ran out of propane the 1st night. All small matters (no biggie). Things that actually mattered were great. Linen towels, linen on beds, etc. Also being close the Beech Mountain Resort was perfect. A full run down was printed so I could follow to the T. I would most definitely recommend this property. A must stay if you want privacy & space."

We would book this house again!" - "The property was nice for a ski weekend. Simple accommodations but very clean and well kept. Our group had 3 couples in their 40s with two teenage boys, over a 3 day weekend. Property was well stocked and had all the basics needed. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The boys shared a room with double bunk beds. They also had a bathroom. Lots of room. Could have slept 2-4 more children comfortably. Lots of space. Parking more than 2 vehicles is an issue if you have multiple families meeting there. There is really only room for 2 vehicles to park, which is fine if everyone is arriving together."

As for the cabin itself, the pictures don't even do it justice! It was even cuter in person, impeccably clean, and furnished with high-quality, comfortable furniture and appliances. Both the indoor fireplace and the outdoor fire table were fantastic additions, keeping us warm and cozy throughout our stay. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet, with the added bonus of a visit from some curious deer! Everything about our stay felt so welcoming. Little touches like a designated mat for our dog's food and helpful notes around the property made it feel less like a rental and more like staying at a friend's place. It's the perfect getaway for two couples, offering incredible value for the price (while the space accommodates four comfortably, trying to add more would be cramped). Melanie also provided some excellent recommendations for food and groceries, which came in super handy. Overall, this trip exceeded all expectations, and I couldn't recommend it more highly!"

Our 3 bedroom (+ loft bedroom), 2.5 bath picture-perfect mountain cabin on Beech Mountain offers everything you and your family needs to have a fun getaway. The inviting, open-floor plan features a fully equipped kitchen, large dining room table, and cozy family room with gas-log fireplace. Includes a spacious deck with seating, BBQ grill, and hot tub, as well as a fully fenced-in yard and firepit beyond the deck area. Great views and location as you are 2 miles from Beech Mountain Resort.

Our home offers 3 private bedrooms + additional sleeping space in the loft. Plenty of space to hang out in the open concept family room and dinning room with the kitchen directly attached, or if you prefer being outdoors enjoy the large patio with plenty of seating and hot tub.

Bedroom #1 features an ensuite with a queen size bed. Bedroom #2 has a queen size bed, smart TV and sliding glass doors to back deck. Loft space has a queen size bed with bathroom. Downstairs bedroom has twin bunk beds.

Family room, loft and master bedroom feature Smart TV’s.

The staircase to the loft is a bit steep but has a safety rail. Spiral staircase leads to lower level - there is also an exterior downstairs entry if you prefer to enter that way.

Your 'management' fee ($55) covers all cleaning and maintenance to the hot tub before you arrive. We ask that all hot tub rules are followed to ensure the hot tub stays up and running year-round, $150 fee if rules are not followed and the hot tub needs draining or additional maintenance. If the hot tub were to malfunction then please let us know immediately so we can help. Any issues with the hot tub may result in reimbursement of the management fee. Please use hot tub at your own risk.

Here on Beech Mountain we have a great amount of snowfall from November through April. You must be prepared with 4-wheel drive, studded snow tires or chains. Chains can be purchased in the area in the event of a snowstorm during your vacation.
Renters are expected to provide toilet paper, paper towels, soaps/detergents, trash bags, baggies/foil/saran wrap, fire wood, etc. We provide: linens (1 set of sheets per bed, blankets, pillows), 1 towel and 1 wash cloth per person based on occupancy of the property, a kitchen set of 1 dish cloth and 1 dish towel, 1 dishwasher tab, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 small bar soap per bathroom and one roll of paper towels.

From here, a stylish, sliding barn door leads into the newly renovated bathroom with a brand new, tiled walk-in shower.

Private, outside entrance with access code. Private mudroom area leads to the unit entrance door that can be locked.
*A stairwell from the mudroom leads to a locked door for the owner's unit above, but the stairwell will not be used.

Please note that while you cannot park outside the unit, you may use the access road at the end of Northridge road for dropping off and picking up (luggage and people). AWD vehicles are required in the winter months. If there is heavy snow and ice, the access road will be closed.

From the parking area, there are approximately 75 steps to access the unit. Obviously much easier going down than going up, but if take your time, you can have a nice leg warmup without feeling out of breath.

It's a nice comfy private retreat for you to enjoy in after a busy day exploring the high country. Most of the time we don't even see the guests, only if we're both going to our cars, so you will have plenty of privacy. We stay on the top 2 floors and the guest suite is on the basement level so you'll be the only ones on that whole floor too.

It is a private entrance down a gravel driveway-this is not handicap accessible, only because it is a mountain terrain.
