This left our party of 7 (5 adults & 2 children) with one useable bathroom & only 2 bedrooms. Blinds were taped up, toilet paper holder downstairs bathroom was broken & lights didn't work, upstairs bathroom toilet seat was broken (with new seat ready for you to install), coffee pot was broken & dumped on my leg. Banister rail on upstairs main entrance is about to fall off & not secure (definitely a safety hazard). Clearly not the property we were promised. Home description shows 2 queen beds that are actually full size beds. We booked this home for 8 people for 2 nights. We were only given 1 washcloth, hand towel, and towel per person for the entire stay. They only had 1 trash bag in the entire house & then you have to haul off your trash when you leave. Upon check-in, property manager stated they only hand out keys & clean homes (obviously not being done but their going to charge you $85 for). Contacted Hotels.com for resolution. Definitely RENTER BEWARE when booking this property! I booked this home because it had an exceptional 10 review. Once we saw the condition of the home, my sister saw there was another bad review that was being hidden. I have photos."

Just off Beech Mountain are the charming towns of Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock. Each of these are home to great restaurants and shopping. Spend time at Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Caverns, Mystery Hill and the original Mast General Store. With whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, rock climbing, caving, or fly fishing, there is no shortage of world class outdoor activities within a 30-minute drive.

The town of Boone, home to Appalachian State University is close by. There is shopping at the quaint shops and nice restaurants in the downtown area.

The Town of Beech Mountain requires that you have a vehicle that is properly equipped in the event of inclement weather during the winter months. You must have a vehicle with 4WD or chains if there is snow or ice to keep you safe during your visit.

The week of Christmas and the week of New Year must be rented for 4 nights and must begin on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday before the Holiday. The first family to rent their week will determine what days will be left for check-in.

- "First of all let me say we enjoyed our stay. This was a great location ,near Grandfather Mountain and other attractions. The cabin had a well equipped kitchen, main living room with a fire place, nice beds and baths. We would book this property again. A few maintenance items the owner might want to address, the area rug in the living room is curled up along the edge which is a tripping hazard ,Ask me how ii know, there is a closet door broken up stairs ,the air hockey table has a broken power cord which is a fire hazard so we unplugged it."

Three beds and three baths allowed for plenty of space. The location is easy to access and sits on a nice quiet tract of land with hiking trails and wildlife viewing opportunities. The winter season brings a touch of magic to the mountain. Enjoy sitting around the Gas log fire and enjoying your hot cocoa or glass of wine. If you have used the ski area we have a small boot dryer in guest suite so you can dry out quickly. Sit back and relax and enjoy all the mountain has to offer and make everlasting memories.

Security camera covers guest driveway & ring doorbell at guest entrance motion is turned off once we see all is ok…ie …no pets not over max occupancy and not all minors.. but you can still use it to contact us immediately if needed.
