Nothing could be finer than living on the slopes in North Carolina! This slope side stay hits different with a bird's eye view of Skiers and slip in/out to the slopes easily from our back deck. We love it here for the concerts during the summer. Easy walking to all the big events like summer biking on the downhill slopes. Walk over and take the ski lift up to the 5506' Skybar Our home has been updated with all the modern applicances, including washer and dryer. Not many like this!

If you are traveling in the winter months, we strongly recommend that you come in a 4WD or AWD vehicle. There was a regular coffee pot, percolator and a French press so we were able to have coffee. Also, walking distance from a nice coffee shop called First Chair. Games are very outdated and missing pieces. Yahtzee game with no dice. 🙃 Were able to sit on balcony and see fireworks display on Beech Mt and didn’t have to be in all that traffic leaving after. That was super nice. Enjoyed the brewery which was also walking distance. Open floor plan with a divider that you can pull between bedroom and living room. Seriously, only accommodates a couple or a couple with one child on pull out sofa. But no privacy for couple. Was just hubby and me so was fine. Hosts were responsive if we needed anything."

The hosts were nothing short of amazing, the communication was easy and timely, and honestly, they go above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. They had a fire pit, a picnic table, a hammock - all of these things available to the guests to make the stay perfect. They also provide all sorts of information and pamphlets for all the local things to do with their own little blurbs about whether they think the places are worth visiting (speaking in the case of local restaurants in that instance). We even got a visit from some locals (a family of deer greeted us as we came back from a hike, just hanging out by the fire pit watching us). Overall 10/10 would stay again AND recommend!"

This adorable octagon-style home is located in the heart of Beech Mountain, less than one minute from Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Whether you're hitting the slopes or looking to enjoy some peace and tranquility in the trees, this mountain haven has it all.

There is room for up to eight guests in this cozy, yet spacious three-bedroom, three-bathroom home. The main level offers the kitchen, dining and living room area with a fireplace, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped to prepare your meals at home, with plenty of seating for you and your guests to dine inside or outside. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed and its own private bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. The downstairs retreat provides a large bonus room with twin bunk beds, a bathroom, and a third bedroom, which has a full-size bed.

Enjoy daily visits from the local wildlife passing through your own backyard! There is a wraparound top deck that provides gorgeous views, as well as a lower-level deck and outdoor firepit area. While this home is in a residential community, it sits between two wooded lots that provide a lot of privacy. - "The property was lovely and overall, very clean. There were a couple of dead bugs in the 2 tubs on main floor but you are in the woods. Shortly after arriving the smoke detector in the basement bedroom started beeping due to low battery. I called the property manager and she sent some out the next morning who changed the batteries so all was quiet after. The gentleman that came to work on the smoke detector was very professional and friendly. I did misread the site description and thought there was AC but there was not so it got a little stuffy in July heat when the house was closed up but the lovely home and surroundings made it worth it. The home is surrounded by a lot of trees and once doors & windows were opened with ceiling fans it cooled down. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this property. I give it a 5 star rating as the minor hiccups don't compare to how lovely this property and management were on our recent trip."

- "The host was easy to talk to and when there was a power outage, she was very responsive and helpful. It was great for a family of 4, very close to the mountain. The only problem that I would recommend changing: the thermostat was set for motion sensor but the heater would completely shutoff, i would wake up in the middle of the night to wake it back up because it was setting at 50 degrees in the middle of the night. I think it makes sense to drop to a safe temperature but it would completely shutoff."

This 600 square foot condo has been recently updated and completely updated. In the bedroom there is two queen beds and in the living area there is one double sleeper sofa. Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This condo includes two smart TVs with cable channels, fast WiFi, microwave, toaster, Kuerig coffee maker, pots/pans, refrigerator, etc. The condo is located an easy 10 minute walk to the ski resort (approximately 1/3 mile walking distance). We are also located near the Emerald Outback trails for hiking or biking. The Overlook Barn wedding venue is less than 3 miles away. 17 minutes to Banner Elk and 43 minutes to Boone. In the High Country you will find something to do in every season! Mountain biking, rafting, hiking, fishing, skiing, snow boarding, tubing and bob sledding on the new Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk. My Klonteska at Beech Mountain , Avery County , N. C. , is located on a spur of the Beech Mountains , facing the stern ... The name is from the Indian tongue and means pheasant , and many of these game birds can be found in the high regions of the High Country near the ski slopes. Our places sits in this area where you can view the mountains of NC and TN. The views are exceptional and many times we see all kinds of wildlife from our deck in this 2 bedroom sanctuary.

A comfy queen sized bed faces a retractable flat screen smart TV with an upgraded sound system. From here, a stylish, sliding barn door leads into the newly renovated bathroom with a brand new, tiled walk-in shower.

Please note that while you cannot park outside the unit, you may use the access road at the end of Northridge road for dropping off and picking up (luggage and people). AWD vehicles are required in the winter months. If there is heavy snow and ice, the access road will be closed.

From the parking area, there are approximately 75 steps to access the unit. Obviously much easier going down than going up, but if take your time, you can have a nice leg warmup without feeling out of breath.

Welcome to Beech Towers! Important Information for Your Stay

1. Parking Instructions

Location: Please park in the lower lot (Ski Shops level).

Parking Passes: There are 2 parking passes located inside the condo. Kindly return them to the coat hook before you leave.

Gravel Lot: The gravel lot at the back of the building is owned by Beech Mountain Ski Resort; do not park there. You can, however, enter and unload as it is on the same level as the condo, which is convenient for guests with wheelchairs.

Building Entrance: You can use the outdoor stair from the parking lot to the condo level (level 2) or there is an entrance next to the ski shop that leads to the building with stairs to the 2nd level.


2. Accessing the Condo

You will have access to the entire condo during your stay.



3. Check-In Procedure

Check-in/Check Out is contactless. You will receive a unique access code for the front door, sent to you upon check-in.

We are usually not on the mountain when guests arrive but are available via cell phone for any inquiries.


4. Winter Vehicle Requirements

In winter, only 4x4 or all-wheel drive vehicles are permitted up the mountain. You can purchase tire chains at the base before heading up.


5. WiFi Calling

To avoid dropped calls, please use WiFi calling when inside the condo. Remember, we are at an altitude of 4,519 feet and signal can drop.



6. Heating Controls

There are 3 heating controls: one in each bedroom and one in the kitchen. Please turn down the heat when you are not inside the condo.

Note that heat comes from the ceiling in all rooms except the 2nd bedroom (baseboard heat)

Enjoy daily visits from the local wildlife passing through your own backyard! There is a wraparound top deck that provides gorgeous views, as well as a lower-level deck and outdoor firepit area. While this home is in a residential community, it sits between two wooded lots that provide a lot of privacy.
