Our modern, but charming, 2BR/1.5BA studio loft is located on the 2nd level of the building and looks over nearby restaurants and shops. The building has undergone a total renovation in 2019 to offer all the newest conveniences and modern comforts, while remaining true to the 1900's charm of the stucture. The original building was a Drug Store and the tile on the lower level entry facing W. Union St. still remains today. Suite 202 offers a fully equipped kitchen, combined living area with bar seating, large leather sectional to relax, and a built in work station if needed. Large windows let in lots of natural light, wood floors, open rafters and exposed brick were retained in the renovation process. The loft is also home to art, commissioned by local Folk Artist Charlie Frye of Folk Keeper Gallery, specific to Burke County Landmarks. The unit has cental heat and air, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster and microwave. Two spacious bedrooms with king beds. Due to fire and safety codes, the bedrooms do not have doors, but offer privacy drapes. One full bath located between the bedrooms with walk in shower, and a half bath just inside the entrance door. All linens are supplied as well as toiletries, hair dryer, and clothing iron. Easy parking located behind the unit where there is a private lighted entry. Parking directions can be given. Each guest will be given entry door codes to access the unit during their stay. Enjoy a day in Downtown Morganton shopping and dining, or venture out and explore our scenic attractions. Lake James State Park is only a 20 minute drive and there are many hiking and biking trails nearby. The Burke County Tourism Office is only one block away. Ask the owner for more information on things to see and do.

I beat the July heat here with mornings in the mid 60s F! The host was friendly and gave a tour of the farm. It was fantastic to sip of morning coffee in July and watch highland cows graze, chickens roam and a pig play! Moreover, my son and I explored the Henry River which is adjacent to the property. From the property we explored, linville gorge, south mountain park, and Blowing Rock. We loved staying here because it was clean, quite, and superb farm experience. Lastly, if was a shorter drive back to the RDU region."

Serta mattresses with natural organic toppers- queen size in bedroom 1 and full size in bedroom 2. Soaking tub with 2 robes provided. 55" Samsung smart tv with sound bar in living room. Private fenced in back yard area with picnic table. Parking for one vehicle in the garage and additional parking on street if needed. This is very private as it is a one unit building. There are many great places to eat and drink within blocks.

Our Tiny House is located in the corner of our property to the left of our cabin and at just 88sq ft it’s minimalistic and has everything you need for a neat tiny home experience. *** We removed a previous bunk bed set up and now have a memory foam queen bed which optimizes the space and makes for a more comfortable stay.*** Outside, we have a charcoal BBQ grill and a Fire Pit for you to use. We provide two adirondack chairs for you to relax in outside around the campfire.

Inside, you'll find a memory foam queen bed. With our fast internet and our smart TV, you can log into all of your streaming accounts to watch any shows or movies.

We have a small refrigerator with freezer, to store all of your items. There's a crock-pot, air-fryer and hot plate with a few pots and pans so that you can boil water, make eggs etc. The Charcoal BBQ grill is located outside around the corner from the Tiny House, under the shade trees. There is a private home on the property and also a Cabin which are available for rent.

There is a gravel driveway, with a dedicated parking space for the Tiny Home.
You can walk down the hill and you'll come to our shallow creek (there are signs directing you towards it).

We have exterior surveillance on the property for the protection of our homes and for your protection as well.

- "The frame on the bed came apart, dumping the futon onto the floor. The closet is so small, I had to drag the futon outside to re-set the wheels into their tracks on the frame. The shower is an absolute joke - it dribbles. The silverware trays have a year of crumbs and filth in them. I am 5'10", 225 pounds and could barely execute stool paperwork due to insanely tight quarters in the bathroom. You better bring a 4WD vehicle so you can get in and out of the mountainside driveway slot! The faux fireplace/mantle does not work, but is left in there to take up space. What Vrbo location does not provide sheets, pillowcases, and trash removal. Get in the game or go home! $130 for this closet was a crime. Then you threaten me with punishment fees for being 15 minutes late leaving for delaying your "cleaning crew" which doesn't clean!!!??? Takes some serious nerve. Just truly sad."

Easy one block walk to the local health food and boutique grocery store. Close to all downtown has to offer but on a quiet corner - the last corner of the central business district of Morganton.
Back patio is accessed from shared hall but is reserved solely for guests of the apartment to use. On site parking as well as an adjoining parking lot can be used.

Our guests love the downtown walkability! Just a short walk to Fonta Flora brewery, the bike shop, Root and Vine restaurant and more!

This apartment used to be the primary suite for the historic home. Former bedroom and en-suite bathroom have been upgraded and kitchen added - with the private balcony off of the kitchen. A balance of historic and rustic elements - exposed brick warm wood tones make this newly created apartment feel original to the home.
Home is just off the Main Street downtown. Easy walk to breweries grocery store and pharmacy.

Our guests love the location, sitting at the high point on the north end of downtown - scenic views from the private balcony. And easy walk to Food Matters, our local health food store, allows you to cook from home. A short walk away is Fonta Flora brewery - a local favorite. The rest of downtown is so cute to walk around and enjoy small town living at its best.

The space
There's Papa Johns Pizza just across the street and a drugstore next door to the mill, for your convenience. This is a newly renovated space. A king size bed and tall ceilings make the place feel roomier and just "hip." There is now a brand new Alpine Fitness Center only a few feet away from the apartment which is free to use while staying at the Airbnb.

Guest access
There is absolutely "NO SMOKING OR VAPING" inside the building or inside the apartment. Please go outside to partake and do not litter on the premises. Be courteous. Trash drop off is behind the building just off the back entrance via a catwalk should you have an extended stay. The first dumpster is trash and second is cardboard only.

Other things to note
The apartment has coded entryways into the building itself. Very safe area and right across the railroad tracks from the historic Morganton Train Station. There's also a farmer's market every Saturday morning (March-November) just across the railroad tracks in the back of Morganton Station.
