The unit itself was great. The kitchen was well laid out and had all the things you'd need to use it. The bed was comfortable. The towels were nice. The shower doesn't really spray. Our one real issue was when we arrived the AC was off and it was warm. We turned down the temperature and went out with friends, expecting it to be cooler when we returned. When we came back it was worse. There was no users manual (there is a QR code on the fridge but it leads to a dead link). We reached out and were told to text a picture of the thermostat. Sent one right away but since they didn't receive one they didn't respond. 40 minutes later when I reach out to follow up, they ask for pictures again. We were sweating and tired and ready to go to sleep. We thought the unit was broken, but it worked fine, we just needed help and it was a very slow and convoluted process. It took 90 minutes to get an answer that should have taken 5 and the whole time we were really hot. The unit is nice, the communication was really rough "

- "Very cozy apartment in a beautiful area. In 5 minutes walk a small city park. The apartment provides every detail, the kitchen has everything you need. The bed is comfortable, linen and towels are clean. Upon check-in we could not immediately figure out how the air conditioner works, despite the fact that it was quite late, they helped us very quickly. From the minuses I can note that the house is quite old and in the apartments a little squeaky floors and badly closed door to the toilet. But the pros are much more! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Charlotte."

We are artists with a pottery studio on our property. We also have a small gallery for shopping. The apartment has original paintings and pottery for your enjoyment. We enjoy getting to meet our guests. Dropping by and hanging out in our small studio for a bit works for us but totally up to you. Staying to yourself is fine too. We work from home so there is almost always someone around. Pine Tree Place is located on CATS bus 14 transportation route to uptown Charlotte with lots of shopping and restaurants close by. We are also about 3 miles from South Park Mall, next to the Jewish Community Center and the Lansdowne Neighborhood.

You have access to the entire apartment. Paver walkway to private entrance with your own personal code that will be supplied to you before you arrive. Roller bags don't work with the pavers but it's not too far a walk. Check in is after 3:00 pm in the afternoon, check out is before 11:00 am in the morning. You are welcome to use our grill, deck, fire pit or chiminea. They are all just outside your door. We have teenagers so you may hear us living life on the other side of the wall. We are very quiet though so no worries about loud tv's or music keeping you up. We have been doing this for over 5 years now and have enjoyed meeting our guests and hearing their stories. We love repeats. If you're looking for a private hook up place we are not for you.

Other things to note
We will give you your space. We will take your lead on how much you would like to interact with us. We understand that some would like to come and go on their own and others would like a wave and a hello. Totally up to you. We work from home so you may see us go back and forth to our studio located in the back yard. You can close all of your blinds and curtains for some privacy. The bedroom is on the far side for some privacy. Keep in mind while this is an apartment it is still attached to where we live. The shower is a bit on the cozy side so If you want lots of wiggle room we're not for you.

*FRESH AIR SMOKE SENSOR- We are a smoke-free rental. Smoking of any kind will not be tolerated. The reservation will be canceled and our onsite courtesy police officer will be called to escort everyone off-premise. This includes cigarettes, marijuana, and burning any kind of incense or sage. We have smoke sensors that immediately alert us in real-time if there is smoking on the property. The sensors are reliably accurate for detecting chemicals present in tobacco and marijuana smoke. There is no discussion or negotiation as to whether or not a guest was smoking in our unit or not after we receive an alert. This also includes no smoking on any balconies or patios. A $500 smoking fine will be added to your reservation if this rule is broken. There is a smoke sensor in each room of the rental.
*NETATMO NOISE SENSOR - Monitors the noise levels in our rentals, without recording any sound. Also monitors CO2 for occupancy levels.
