The hotel is perched next to some major highways and between that, random screaming outside in middle of the night, foul smelling hallways, and strange characters lurking the property - you should skip this place. Out of curiosity, I googled reviews on the apartment building (Generations) and it checked out that this place is far from a luxury building and they really need more security. It seems no one in their right mind would want to live here so they are attempting to rent rooms as a hotel. Also, fyi - they only give you one key fob for the room which is really inconvenient if you are traveling with someone on a different schedule. Pluses were that the bed was pretty comfortable."

This adorable apartment located in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur is 1 block from the East Lake MARTA (train) station - it is extremely easy to access from the airport and anywhere else on MARTA (downtown, Decatur, etc). There is also driveway parking for one car, and it is a very short drive away from downtown Atlanta, Emory, Decatur, etc. Within walking distance, you can reach several restaurants and stores. Newly renovated!

The space
This apartment is one of two that are located in the lower level of a historic home in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur. It has great exposed brick and wood in the living/dining area that gives it character. While it is on the lower level, it has great windows and tons of natural light. The rooms are spacious and welcoming. It has one bedroom with a queen bed, a full kitchen, living/dining, full bathroom, and mini office in a bedroom closet. The entire home was recently renovated (2020).

You can enter through the back door (see photos) into a common area where a washer and dryer are located (plus some items being stored that belong to other tenants and me, the owner). Your apartment is on the right of the 2 interior doors, and the entire apartment will be yours for your stay. The apartment itself is self-sufficient, with its own kitchen, bathroom, living area, etc.

Other things to note
Please, no pets - I am very allergic. The entire home was renovated in 2020 after a massive tree fell in 2019. We are so excited to finally have it re-listed on airbnb! Brand new mattress added in summer 2023!

We have kids and can provide any and all kid stuff on request!
