The Howard was built in 1920 in the back yard of an c.1840 Antebellum Mansion on Lexington's swanky West Third Street. In fell into disrepair and we bought it in 2007. We turned the existing eight apartments into five renovated condos with all the modern amenities, but preserving all of the vintage charm. They are small and incredibly cozy with a great room with opening windows on the second floor.

We refinished the hardwood floors, cleaned all the window and door hardware, repaired windows, and fixed plaster. We hired one of Lexington's best architects to fit a modern kitchen into a vintage kitchen space. We fit in a laundry, dishwasher, beverage center and microwave that formerly only had a two burner stove and two cabinets.

This apartment is located on the second floor of the building. It is only 650 square feet, but thanks to our brilliant architect, it feels much larger.

We are confident that as you drive through the stone arches of Hampton Court you will realize what a special corner of Lexington it is, on the site of a former orphanage and alongside the oldest University west of the Alleghenies, Transylvania University.

For starters, the apartment was immaculate. It’s quite homey and in a wonderful location. The pictures do not do it justice. Walkable to great restaurants, and dog friendly. The hosts also left a notebook full of useful information regarding things to do, places to go, etc. I never heard noise from other tenants (and I had an extensive stay) and communication with the hosts was super quick. Highly recommend staying here, and I will definitely rebook whenever I come back to the area!"

My 1938 duplex apartment has 2 bedrooms, a pull out sofa bed and one bath. It has its own private entrance that is accessed with a smart code. The apartment is located across the street from Baptist Health hospital, and right down the street from UK. Kroger football stadium is only a 10 minute walk. Downtown is only a couple miles away, and Keeneland is only a 10-12 minute drive. The city ordinance states that, “the maximum number of occupants of this Short-Term rental cannot exceed 4 people”. Moreover, “guests are prohibited from allowing more individuals than the maximum occupancy allows”, which is 6 total. In addition to being close to the university, there were also a ton of nice restaurants nearby to chose from. A comfortable stay all around. Our full basement apartment with private entrance is modest but comfortable. Located within one mile of Asbury Seminary and University, our space is ideally suited for commuting students, out-of-town guests, or folks visiting the beautiful Bluegrass region. Our home is a 15-minute walk from the campuses and business district. We are a family of six and you will occasionally hear our boys upstairs, but as a Christian family, we strive to treat our guests as we would want to be treated. Reg. 9485

The space
While we do everything possible to keep things quiet for our basement guests, it is important to note that this is an Airbnb listing, which means that we are sharing our home. "Life happens" here, and you will hear it from time to time. Dogs bark on occasion and boys get a bit rowdy from time to time.

Please note that our actual space consists of one full bath, one bedroom with a full sized double bed, and a living area with pull-out sleeper-sofa (full sized double bed) and joining kitchenette.

While we do provide guests with an initial supply of bed and bath linens, coffee, paper products, and complementary bottled water, guests will be responsible for washing or resupplying those items as needed. We have a grocery store, Dollar General store, and laundromat nearby.

Guest access
While the basement is private and guests will have exclusive access to it, our family does use a stairwell to another part of the basement in order to get to our ground-level garage. A heavy curtain separates the stairwell from the guest space. Although you might hear us coming and going, you won't see us--and we won't see you.
Guests will have access to parking in our driveway, just steps from the entrance to the basement at the rear of the house. Entrance and driveway are well-lit. The basement door has a key code and guests can come-and-go at their leisure. Basement has a full living room, bedroom, and bath. Guests also have full use of the well-appointed kitchenette that features microwave, sink and counter, full-sized refrigerator, coffee maker, table-top convection oven, and 2-burner hot plate.

The Studio is a cozy, quiet and sweet space that is ideal for a getaway or a long term/work stay. Easy access to Downtown and Rupp Arena, UK and UK Hospital is 3 miles away, St. Joe's and Baptist Health are easy to get to, or walk to Greyline Station with restaurants, coffee shops, and merchants. Easy drive to KY Horse Park, Keenland, Bluegrass Airport, and of course all things Bourbon.

The space
The Studio is on the second story of this mid century home. You enter through the back door and must climb stairs to get to the locked entry into the studio through a keypad code that we provide before your arrival. The first floor is a separate Airbnb unit. There is a second Airbnb studio across the hall. The Studio is a large and brightly lit room with a bedroom, dresser, desk, recliner and comfy chairs and TV with a separate full bath and kitchen. The washer and dryer are located in the basement. The entrance is from the outside with a key and shared with the other Airbnb guests.

Guest access
Just around the corner is Castlewood Park. There is a walking trail, public pool (open in the summer) and splash park, playground, picnic area, basketball and tennis courts. Walk to Greyline Station or drive and park to have access to dozens of shops, restaurants, and Old North Bar. Restaurants include Wilson Grocery and Deli, The Social Vegan, Rise Up Pizza, Porterhouse BBQ, Nourished Folks, Northlime Coffee and Donuts, The Breeze Wine Bar, and Laura Lou Pastries. Live music on weekends. Activities like Trivia and Cornhole during the week.

Kroger is 1 mile away. Wal Mart and Aldi is also close by

Please note that the city cleans the streets on the FIRST WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY of EACH MONTH...on these days, please be mindful and observe the posted signs to ensure you park on the correct side of the street. We don’t want you to get a ticket!

The space
You have your own private space and entry with keypad code unique to your stay. Enter the front door and walk straight up the stairs to enter the second floor unit. Hard wood floors all redone, lots of light and plenty of space in this second floor apartment.

The entire second floor of this bedford stone cape cod home is all yours. The first floor is a separate Airbnb unit which has a maximum of 2 guests. Parking is on the street in front of the house and always available. The driveway is reserved for the first floor guests. This is a quiet residential neighborhood and there is always ample parking on the street.

We do not host local guests as we have had bad experience with this in the past. If you live locally and book ahead with details of why you are booking and live locally, we will consider allowing it based on your details you provide. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Located in the downtown Historic Georgetown, Kentucky just steps away from main street. This studio is 380 Square feet, has been recently renovated and has all new amenities. The studio offers a historic cozy and comfortable stay with a modern design. As a studio apartment, it has everything you and a guest need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, including a queen-size bed. Every inch is utilized for optimal space, storage, and organization.

The space
The Fort is in the front left unit of the building. Built in the 1820's, the space has the original exterior log construction walls. The apartment has a dedicated mini split unit that both heats and cools the space along with an additional mounted space heater for cold nights. The queen-size bed and oversized rockers make it a cozy, comfortable stay. Please note; shower is phone booth-sized, one person shower.

The front door to The Fort shares a breeze way entrance with our 2nd studio apartment "The Hide-Away." A unique option when traveling with another group or party, The Hide-Away can be rented (when available) allowing for the breeze way to act as a hallway between both units. This offers both parties privacy while allowing for shared company.

Interior has been completely renovated, and exterior will be getting a face-lift coming soon. For now the pink exterior is easy to find when locating the house.

This apartment is located in a historic fourplex in the heart of the Ashland Park area. Nestled in these old beautiful trees and homes brings a sweet charm to your stay.
This is a private one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. There is a sleeper sofa couch in the living room for another sleeping area. If sleeping on the couch we have added curtains to allow for some extra privacy at night. The extra bedding for the couch is located inside of the couch ottoman.
We provide netflix on this apple tv. You can use our netflix or you can stream any of your own apps. we provide wifi. There is no basic cable in this unit.
We have original hard wood floors though out this space.
You may use the washer and dryer but we ask that you give us notice before hand please.
The back hallway, driveway and yard are for our personal use so please note this.
The parking is on the street parking. there is no parking lot for this unit. With that said, parking is always available on this quite street. Please note that the street parking is located on the opposite side of the street only.
This is an apartment so you may sometimes hear the other units but we are all quite after 10:00 and we ask you be mindful of that as well. We live upstairs and are available to help with anything so please reach out.

This beautiful historic home in downtown Lexington is just a few minutes walk to several downtown attractions, Transylvania University, countless delicious local cafes and bars, a 20 minute walk to Rupp Arena and 25 minute walk to The University of Kentucky. This space is on the third floor, so there are steep exterior steps, as well as interior steps. They are shown in the photos, so please be aware if mobility is an issue.

This is a Basement Apartment in my home. Steps off of driveway down to a private entrance with code for self check in. The W/D is a shared space in the basement. We will coordinate with you convenient times to access for use.
Basement is a large space, we occupy the floor above. We love community living and even though you have your own space, you will be able to hear us live and laugh and vise versa.
Multiple free range cats that you may encounter out exploring the property.

The space
This is a basement apartment with a private entrance. Enjoy the granite counter-tops if you want to cook a meal in the well equipped kitchen. The large sectional sleeper sofa is comfy and spacious. Also has a foam mattress for more comfortable nights sleep. The zen bedroom is a calm space for you to recharge on the new Serta i-comfort mattress. There is also a reading/meditation room as you enter in from the back door. Enjoy the hanging hammock as you spend some time getting your center back. USB outlets located in kitchen and bedroom. You are welcome to use the unfinished Laundry and I may request access to it if you are staying with me longer than a few days. This space is professionally decorated with every detail to make your stay more comfortable. It's cool in the summer and winter so be aware that one system controls my space and yours.
