The next day the pool was empty again and it was not refilled for the duration of our stay. - "Beautiful property. Would stay again." - "My daughter and I were in town for the Taylor Swift concert. For almost a full year, we researched and kept an eye on hotels for our stay. We were SO PLEASED with our choice of The Memoir. The decor is exquisite. The kitchen with an eat at bar, fridge with ice maker, dishes and glassware, washer/drier, and steamer made our stay as comfortable as being at home. Parking was convenient and free. The rooftop pool was gorgeous. The neighborhood was clean, not crowded and relatively quiet. The hotel was near several good restaurants, two streets over from the streetcar, and a couple of blocks from the hop on hop off bus stop. Although I didn’t get the chance to take in the social club, the chef has impressive credentials, and I can see a future stay with my husband to take advantage of that perk. The staff were all polite and helpful. I highly recommend The Memoir to anyone who is attending an even at the Superdome or just likes to be away from the hustle and bustle of the quarter. "

- "i will be live there once again to New Orleans" - "So we booked this room going strictly off the pictures provided. The room we got didn’t have any kind of view like we thought we was getting. You opened the blinds and was looking at another wall 10 feet away. My wife went into the bathroom to take a shower and there was someone’s hair all over the shower wall. So that instantly made her feel like the room hadn’t been cleaned. Also the shower picture shows a divider between shower and regular floor which there isn’t any divider. So when you shower the entire floor gets wet. We just felt nasty after finding hair in the shower. To some not a big deal but to us it was. Also not having the view sucked. The parking is horrible in the garage. "

- "Great place and very nice" - "We loved the space and location to the French Quarter, but it was very dirty outside the building. There were dead rats on the street adjacent to the building that we walked past each day to get to the French Quarter. There was also street construction all around the building, so it caused a lot of noise and having to walk around it was not ideal. The inside of the condo was very clean, had all the amenities we needed and we would definitely stay there again. The floors appeared clean, but I would say that the floors needed to be mopped because the bottoms of our socks would be black if we didn’t wear our shoes. Everything else was excellent though and again, we would return. The conditions around the property were just not good which hopefully can be corrected in the near future. "

The lockers themselves required cash so I had to leave my luggage unattended and go running around town looking for an ATM, only to then find out that the part of the lockers where you insert cash was broken. I finally had to call the booking for help to open a locker. Then, I finally tracked down a cleaning lady who said I could keep my luggage in my room even though it wasn’t ready. The room reeked of cigars and smoke smells and it never really went away even after cleaning. Then the TVs weren’t working and I was missing a couple remotes. On my last day, I thought I was being broken into because the cleaning lady tried entering my room before my check out time. Very disappointed, especially with all of the positive reviews I read before booking."

So much in walking distance or a short ride on the street car.

This home does contain a decibel monitoring device. The device is located in a common area and not in any bedroom or bathroom.

This home is directly above a coffee shop and does get noisy at times. Not recommend for light sleepers.
