- "We would stay here again!" - "Loved staying at Rathbone Mansions. It was so charming and clean and bed was really comfortable. It had a nice big shower and had a heater in the bathroom too! It was also in walking distance to Port of Call, our favorite burger in New Orleans!" - "The listing for the hotel does not explain that there are two buildings across the street from one another. Additionally you receive an email from the hotel telling you to call in to reserve for parking and for early check-in. You do not need to reserve parking because you may end up in a building that's not even near the parking. There is also plenty of street parking. Additionally the first room we were given the AC did not work and the attendant did not know how the AC worked. She also did not proactively suggest that we go to another room instead she took time to try to figure out how to turn the AC on which we already had done so before she came into the room. After we had asked to be switched to another room she did oblige. However at that point it was past the early check-in window. We then had to request for a refund of the early check in fee instead of it being proactively offered to be refunded. The hotel was safe. I liked how it was gated with a code. It was also only a 5 to 10 min uber ride to the french quarter."

- "Parking was not included and you had to pay extra. The secured parking is a must, this was not a safe area. Do NOT walk around at night. Instructions were not clear. Property appeared secure, with gate codes, but then some doors just were not locked. Mattress was hard as a rock. Room was clean and comfortable, but I wish I’d stayed with a reputable hotel brand so as to avoid surprises like the horrible mattress - I am still sore. The property was interesting, a remodel of a Catholic Church and school. The pool area was very inviting. The other guests were a diverse bunch. Some families, but some party people. Quiet hours were not enforced. A group of guests woke us up at 5A still partying from last night. The space
The space is great if traveling with family, friends, or any type of group. The space offers 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining table and living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa. The bedrooms offer a king bed with an ensuite bathroom. One of the ensuites has a shower only and the other ensuites offer a tub/shower combo. The living room offers a 65” TV and the bedrooms have a 55" TV, all with streaming abilities. Each unit has a stacked washer and dryer and clothing steamer for use during your stay as well.

The rooftop pool and hot tub are shared by all units in the property. The rooftop pool and hot tub are open daily from 8:00 am – 10:00pm, weather permitting. Our pool is not heated, and swimming is at your own risk. This area is designated as non-smoking.

We have a designated vaping area located on the 9th floor of the building. Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited in our units and will set off our state of the art smoke alarm system.

The Eleanor New Orleans Vacation Rentals are located in Downtown New Orleans on Loyola Ave featuring 31 units that are 3-6 bedrooms and range from 1,178-1,959 sq ft. Our arrival process is contactless, but our property manager and/or front desk staff are available 24/7 during your stay.

While our vacation rental does not offer parking, there are two public parking facilities conveniently located directly below the property. Rates are generally $20-30/24 hours (but will increase during special events and festivals). The two parking options are located just below our property. Park First Saratoga Garage #1025 and has a height clearance of 6’4”. The other option, ParkMobile Zone 50408 (surface lot), is also directly behind our building for overflow or oversized vehicles.

Amtrak (train) and Greyhound (bus) Stations – 0.7 miles, easily accessible via the Union Passenger Terminal via Canal St Streetcar (only $3/day on the Le Pass RTA app).

Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) – 14.4 miles (approx. 20 minutes without traffic) – There are many Uber/Lyft/Taxi cabs at the airport that are readily available to bring you downtown.

The Eleanor is located on a streetcar line. Use the streetcar to get to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, City Park, Cemeteries and plenty of other areas along the way. We recommend downloading the Le Pass RTA app and getting a Jazzy Pass for getting around the city.

Pets are allowed for an additional fee of $135/stay (max 2 included). We have a designated pet relief area on the 9th floor, and there is also a grassy park located across the street from our units. Please let us know ahead of time if you are planning to bring a pet.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available for your stay for an additional fee of $300 for a 12pm arrival or $200 for a 2pm arrival. A late departure of 12pm would be an additional fee of $200 (an extra 2 hours). Unfortunately, we are unable to store luggage pre- or post-stay, so if you need to guarantee an earlier arrival or departure, we recommend booking the night before or after in order to guarantee anything earlier than the 2pm arrival or later than a 12pm departure.

We only require light cleaning prior to departure – taking out garbage and washing any dirty dishes. All linen is professionally laundered between guests.

Reservations are not confirmed until the Rental Agreement is signed. The Rental Agreement link will be sent to you immediately after booking.
