" - "The staff very professional and kind." - "We had advised the inn keeper of an early arrival which she was fine with. However, we showed up really early b/c of an early flight. Merely wanted to store our bags and change cloths in a bathroom. Monica had none of that. Promptly, took us to our room, got us set up and we worried about payment....etc later. She did all of this despite working on breakfast prep. Also very helpful with recs and helped m with some tech issues getting boarding passes. A gem of a place. - "I do not often take the time to write reviews. My husband and I travel very often to speak at different conferences. However, this Bed and Breakfast was, quite honestly, the best place we have ever stayed. Ever. From day one and booking through Expedia, and needing to call the property to confirm Aida answered the phone the FIRST time - no waiting for a return call and assured me the reservation was fine! We were placed in a beautiful suite. It was so spacious! Flat screen television in the den area and bedroom. HUGE bathroom. Everything was incredibly comfortable. We loved having the full sized refrigerator and king bed. WiFi was easy to sign on to and worked perfectly. Jacuzzi tubs are a huge bonus. Breakfast was incredible!!! So SO yummy. And when we had to call Aida again because we had to leave out so early to teach she made us “to go” breakfasts that were equally incredible. She was also very knowledgeable of the area, suggesting the best restaurant we have eaten at in a very long time and an incredibly fun swamp tour where we got pictures that are so beautiful we will be framing them! This family owned Bed and Breakfast has the southern charm as well as the modern elegance and staff professionalism you would expect from a five star luxury resort. Highly recommend. We will never stay anywhere else when needing to stay in or near New Orleans! - Rob and Cris "

Fleur de Marigny is a private guest suite that has been completely renovated with loving historic detail. It is spacious, with 12 ft ceilings, crown moldings, and original hardwood floors, and is conveniently located, yet residential and safe.
We take great pride in hosting our guests and accommodating all their needs during their stay in our wonderful city. The property is a historic "sidehall shotgun" style house, built in 1836. We have our own private residence in the back and are available 24/7. There are no other guests, only the one private suite for your exclusive enjoyment.
We do not serve breakfast, however we do provide snacks, beverages, and coffee, and there are several wonderful restaurant options within walking distance. The suite includes a bedroom with a queen size bed and full closet; a bathroom with a walk-in shower and vanity; an armoire housing a digital flat screen television with Apple TV; and a spacious living room with two large windows, and a comfortable sofa. The kitchenette is equipped with a mini-refrigerator, ice maker, microwave, sink, and coffee maker. Built-ins showcase a collection of New Orleans fiction and nonfiction favorites, along with a variety of local guidebooks. Central heating and air conditioning ensure your comfort.
From our convenient Touro Street location, all of the restaurants, shops, bars, galleries, and musical attractions of Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter are just a short walk away. Or catch the horse-drawn carriages right outside the front door. We are 3 blocks away from the streetcar stop, full grocery, pharmacy, bike rental, laundromat, Starbucks and bakery. There is plenty of free on street parking.
Our property is located in one of the most desired neighborhoods in New Orleans. VRBO groups our property into the larger Faubourg Marigny neighborhood, but within that larger neighborhood we are in the heart of the golden "Marigny Triangle" -- a small sliver of residences in a quiet, historic neighborhood spanning just several quaint blocks between Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter.

You have your own private entrance and no indoor common areas. The private hot tub is drained and cleaned between guests. We want you to be safe and healthy for your visit to New Orleans. The owner is on property at all times.
This is a LEGAL Guesthouse permitted & inspected by the city of New Orleans. We are located at 1526 Pauger St. at the end of Bourbon St. in the Faubourg Marigny. A private entrance to the Little Eazy, makes you feel like you are in your very own home. We provide the perfect casual cottage. It has two separate sleeping areas and a private bathroom with walk in shower. There is a couch in the living room which pulls out for another full size bed. Kitchen, living room, cable TV, radio, a private phone and wireless Internet access. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator and a microwave. We provide coffee, and tea. You can relax and read a book in the privacy of the back patio with hot tub and furniture. We also have a front yard with a swing that you can enjoy while watching the carriages make their way back to the stables. Permit parking is available at no extra charge while staying at the Little Eazy. Please check the availability calendar as we only have one cottage and when it books that is all I have to offer you. WE DO HAVE A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM....
Music & Relaxing: The Little Eazy is located in a residential neighborhood just outside the French Quarter. We are located 3 blocks from the French Quarter and 3 blocks from Frenchman St.. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood, It is a quiet neighborhood as compared to the French Quarter. The Little Eazy guests like it because the cottage is comfortable, like being at home, yet close enough to any of the fun activities which New Orleans has to offer.
The cottage is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage. Each bedroom has 1 full/queen size bed (one full and one queen). The couch in the living room folds out to a full size bed. It is comfortable for the maximum of 4 people, and we want you to be comfortable during your stay in New Orleans. Like many houses in New Orleans you need to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom.
RATES- There is a nightly rate and then I charge extra ($25.00) per night for each extra person over 2. That is $25.00 per person. So 4 people would add $50.00 to the nightly rate. I do this because I cannot have 6 people staying in the cottage for one rate.

- "Wonderful, would stay there again!" - "Laura was a tremendous and gracious host during our stay in New Orleans. The location, the home and our accommodations exceeded our expectations – as did Laura who shared her knowledge, experience and recommendations for the type of “off the beaten path” experiences we hoped to enjoy. City Park and all it offers – incredible grounds, NOMA, the outdoor sculpture garden and more are a short, easy and safe 5–10-minute walk from the home. Getting to and from downtown (The French Quarter, Jackson Square and more) was just as easy for us via the Streetcar and bus services, so there was no need to fight for or overpay for a parking spot. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and it was made even more so by Laura. We not only hope to stay with her again, but highly recommend Laura and her home to anyone considering a trip to New Orleans."

No expense was spared restoring the home to its original status and retaining all of its charm and character. I have been fortunate to have received feedback from friends and family who have stayed at the house that this is a true "home away from home experience". The house has original 12 foot ceilings, large windows, french doors and 150 year old heart of pine hardwood floors through out. Crown molding, picture molding, original brick chimneys and ceiling medallions blend effortlessly with the 1830s light fixtures in the living room and dining room. A modern gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances add the necessary modern convenience. The bathrooms are appointed with wanes coating and mosaic marble tile flooring/marble tile shower enclosure with jetted tub in the master bedroom and traditional subway tile with jetted tub in the guest bathroom. Designer light fixtures, custom furniture and original artwork featuring local and old world artists complement an eclectic design aesthetic. All bedrooms are large with walk-in closets in the master bedroom and master suite. There are 1 king size bed, 1 queen sized bed and1 queen sofa sleeper and 1 full futon sofas that comfortably sleeps 6 guests. All bedding and linens are luxurious with soft 1000 count Egyptian count sheets. The private bricked courtyard is surrounded by lush mature bamboo and trees and can be assessed at the side of the house or along the side gallery from the kitchen foyer. The is a gas 2 burner grill and bistro tables for out door dining options. There is a surround sound system in the living room with ceiling speakers in 5 other spaces through out the house allowing music to be adjusted to the individuals preference. Wireless internet/cable with HBO is accessible to 4 smart Samsung flat screen TVs placed in the living room and each bedroom. Electronic front door keypad/camera security system makes access to the house convenient and safe. A sprinkler and fire alarm system has been added to protect my home The house is a licensed 2 bedroom bed and breakfast with the 2 bedrooms rented to 1 group at a time.. I can accommodate most guest requests with stays from 3 nights to a 30 day rental. The entire 3 bedroom house can be rented for a monthly lease as a traditional corporate rental.

ABOUT THE LANAUX MANSION
You might recognize the stately Italianate mansion at 547 Esplanade from "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," just one of the many films and TV shows in which it's been featured.
The house itself is a star, with a fascinating past. But it's not just its good looks and pedigree that make the Lanaux so attractive. It's the unbeatable location at the corner of Chartres Street and Esplanade Avenue - which literally straddles the line between the rollicking French Quarter scene and the famous music clubs and jazz dens of Frenchman Street.
Sitting in the courtyard with a julep in your hand, you'll often hear the blare of trumpets, the drums of a parade, and the whistle of a steamboat rolling down the mighty Mississippi, just blocks away. If you're lucky, you might even catch a second-line or jazz funeral during your stay here.
Built in 1879 by wealthy attorney Charles Andrew Johnson, the house has played host to not only actors and film crews, but to prominent figures of history including southern general Robert E. Lee and others. Some even claim there's a ghost among its distinguished list of guests.
Wallpaper from around the time of the American Civil War still adorns the massive double parlors downstairs, as does much of the home's original furniture. The vaulted guest-room ceilings soar high overhead. And the decor is a fine mix of classic period architecture and stylish upscale amenities.
In 140 years, it has changed owners only four times. Most recently, it was the gregarious and accomplished New Orleanian businesswoman Ruth Bodenheimer who ran the home as a much-loved bed and breakfast for decades until her passing in 2019.
Inspired by Ruth's love for the house and the one-of-a-kind city called New Orleans, her daughter Beth now proudly carries on the legacy of making guests feel welcome and at home here.
Whether it's a romantic cottage getaway for two, or a big group such as a wedding party, you can book just one room or all five of them, plus the gorgeous large dining room and lavish double parlors for special events.
Spacious suites have kitchenettes and private bathrooms. You'll come and go as you please through your personal entrance on Esplanade or Chartres streets.
Everything here is set up for your comfort and convenience.

Imagine having your own private cottage at the corner of Esplanade and Chartres, right where the rollicking French Quarter scene spills into the famous old jazz dens of Frenchmen Street.
Located on the grounds of the stately Lanaux Mansion - itself a piece of New Orleans history - the sweetly named Sophie's Enchanted Cottage combines all the grace and charm of a bygone era with every modern comfort you could want - wi-fi, air conditioning, a sitting area for when you need to get some work done, and a flat-screen HDTV for when you don't.

When you're exhausted after a day of music, fun, and food, let the queen-size pillow-top welcome you with a good night's rest.

Just a few short blocks from the French Quarter, we discovered an abandoned antebellum Creole Cottage, left in total ruin, on the verge of collapse. It was love at first sight.
We spent two years meticulously reimagining and rebuilding the home. The design respects the cottage's architectural history, both in scale and materials, while introducing a modern, minimal aesthetic with an appreciation for the patina that time brings.
We came to New Orleans on vacation and never left. Perhaps you will, too.

Right next to the Quarter, is the thriving Faubourg Marigny neighborhood, a live-music destination with a pocket subculture unto itself. Over the past decade, the Marigny has emerged as one of the vital centers of the city. During the renovation we took great care to keep the distinctively New Orleanian character of the home and prevent it from being another bland, forgettable rental space. The house features 12-foot ceilings, original hardwood floors, beautiful molding, and a jazzy blend of colors. Upstairs are six guest bedrooms. Downstairs is a spacious living room, dining room, and stocked kitchen, as well as another half bathroom. The rear of the building holds off-street parking, as well as a breezy back porch with porch swing overlooking a huge back yard. Pretty much everyone who stays with us says they think the space is amazing; come see why!

"The location was perfect. The bbq place across the street is awesome for easy meals and there was a market close by so we could purchase waters when we arrived. It was really quiet as well, and very nice to come home to a comfortable spot at the end of the day. We grabbed Uber's easily for anywhere we wanted to go, I would HIGHLY recommend Andy's place for anyone coming to New Orleans in the future, and would stay here again myself if I'm lucky enough to return!"

Just outside of the French Quarter, the Balcony Guest House has been an “only in New Orleans” landmark, and center of neighborhood activity for over 100 years. It began as a corner grocery – a fixture in New Orleans neighborhoods from a time gone by. In true turn-of-the-century fashion, the owners lived upstairs. The Balcony Guest House now occupies this space. These 6 beautiful suites above are a hidden luxury within our family owned B&B. Wake up to the sights and sounds of old New Orleans with this light and vibrant room featuring direct access to Balcony Guest House's beautiful and large wrap around gallery balcony. In the springtime, you'll often wake to the smell of magnolias and wild jasmine. During Mardi Gras, you'll have a front row view of the floats as 5 parades pass directly in front of the property. Our balcony in the heart of the Marigny neighborhood is the perfect place to sit back with your cup of coffee, take in the sights of the city, and truly experience what it means to live like a local.
