The pool area was also great as the kids had a blast having a pool available. Many great restaurants close and we used delivery services as well. We went to a concert at Smoothie King Center which was a 5 minute Uber ride. Communication was seamless and all our questions had quick responses. - "Two kids loved the house. They went on fishing charter and caught 34 fish redfish, trout and a big catfish. Loved the swamp tour on the airboat. Large alligators and raccoons came very close to the boat. Six adults and two children. Close to New Orleans but very quiet and relaxing area with great views from all the decks. The house is about 25 minutes to downtown New Orlends or a 60 dollar Uber ride in a Uber XL. The Walmart and everything is pretty close. - "We had a big group of friends meet up in New Orleans and this place was perfect for us! The pool was a great area to hang out and there was plenty of seating inside. Definitely recommend!" - "Place was excellent and convenient" - "Solid house, decently located for the price, okay for groups, very communicative and responsive host. Clearly rehabbed and kitted out for vacation rentals, more functional than charming or luxurious, but that's fine - what we expected. The rooftop is one of the best features - nice place to hang out (with one caveat - see below). Neighborhood is transitional, but not particularly unsafe-feeling. Reasonably central to most of the most likely destination neighborhoods for a visitor. 3-4 easily walkable blocks to St. Charles Ave, where there are coffee shops, pharmacies, hotel bars, etc. Street noise is low, maybe mostly from groups staying at nearby vacation rentals. Host quite communicative and responsive before and after (we had no large questions or issues during the rental). Despite being able to sleep ~10 people and having three gathering spots (including the roof), there's nowhere with enough chairs/couches/seats for even 7-8 people actually to sit down and hang out in the same place (and a few chairs are bolted down). Sort of an odd oversight. But everything was as described, with no significant surprises either to the upside or downside. We were perfectly satisfied with the stay."

Seabrook Villas, which sleep 1 to 14 adults in beds and have a sleeping loft for children. Each villa has 1 to 6 bedrooms which can be rented separately or all together and up to 5 bathrooms. The Caribbean décor conveys the fantastic outdoor living, and the deck has views from downtown to the middle of Lake Pontchartrain. Beautiful wood finishes and stainless-steel appliances plus granite countertops add to the luxury. A full villa has 4 king beds, 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds plus a queen size sofa sleeper. Outdoor furniture with sweeping views adds to the entertaining experience at our resort. Enjoy our gated resort with a pool, hot tub, boat launch, restaurant and bar.

- "Good experience. Great value for property. Only a couple suggestions. The lights on outside of building 603 needs to be replaced. No lights at all made going up and down the stairs a little hazardous." - "We had a group of 20 for my dad's 70th birthday. We rented one of the full (14 person) Seabrook villas and then a 6 person, which turned out to be the top floor of one of the Seabrook villas, luckily just next door (the front desk was good enough to make this arrangement, though I did not have any way of knowing this for sure when I booked through Vrbo). Overall, this is a great spot, right on the water. And these villas have very nice decks and rooftop areas. The front desk folks were super nice and always available to answer questions by phone leading up to the visit. The area inside the RV park and Marina is safe, but we were warned by a local driver not to venture out to the stores at night. The location is 15 minutes to the fairgrounds, if you are going to Jazzfest, and also an Uber ride from the French Quarter. Each of the Seabrook villas basically has 4 rooms to rent out. The bottom floor has 2 master bedrooms (each has its own bathroom), then a suite with 2 bedrooms that share one bathroom and has a small dining area with microwave and coffee pot, but no kitchen. The top floor suite has the full kitchen, a master bedroom with bath, a double room and a pull out couch. They count this pull out in the 14 sleeping spots, and our guests did not find it very comfortable. I highly recommend this place for an adult family/friends gathering spot. Oh, and they do have alligators."

- "Great experience and the host was very lovely! Will be renting this property again!" - "I rented this property for my husband's 40th birthday. The good: Visually, it is stunning. We had a 10 person dinner party on Saturday. We enjoyed a pre-dinner cocktail hour before the dinner upstairs near the bar. The dinner was flawless (shout out to Furloughed Four) and everyone enjoyed themselves. The owners were responsive when we needed to reach out to them. This place is perfect for adults. The bad: So, this isn't necessarily bad, but full warning, when we arrived, the owner had painted at least four very large murals of naked women, and had hung numerous antique framed photos of naked women in the hallways. With the two night minimum stay requirement, we had Friday night open, and the property stated it was available to children, so I let my four children come stay with us on Friday night. They were weirded out by all the naked women pictures. I would have liked a heads up about all the naked women, but to be fair, I also did not warn the owners that I was bringing my children by on Friday night. I did go back and check and there are no naked people in any of the VRBO pictures. Maybe the owners did some small renovation work in the master and didn't have time to finish because there were shelves that weren't painted and light switches that were exposed and one downstairs bathroom sink didn't work. On the whole it was a great rental and the owners were lovely and responsive. Recommend for adult stays."

The area is walkable to many restaurants, bars and shops, however, taxis and ride shares are also a great way to get around. This home is 2 blocks from the St. Charles historic trolley that can be a fun way of getting around all the way from Audubon Park to the other side of the French Quarter. There is a Walgreens, Robert’s grocery store and Starbucks all within the block.

The Garden District was built in the mid-19th century and is one of the most scenic and wealthy areas of all New Orleans. Lush, manicured trees and grand, historic mansions line the streets, making it an oasis away from the bustle of the French Quarter and perfect for strolling. Find yourself within walking distance to popular Magazine Street which offers both upscale dining, craft cocktails and rare antiques as well as dive bars and eclectic boutiques.

Other nearby attractions include the Audubon Park & Zoo, Lafayette Cemetery, and Commander’s Palace. The French Quarter is a quick 12 minute car ride away. My personal favorite coffee house, Mojo, is right on the corner!

Getting Around:
Many attractions can be enjoyed by foot, but for further adventures, there are plenty of transportation options. There is a nearby blue bike share hub at the northeast corner of Annunciation Center Park. Enjoy a quick 8-minute walk to St. Charles Ave. and you will find the historic streetcar, taking you anywhere from the French Quarter to Audubon Park. Street parking is easy to find if you bring a rental car. Additionally, taxis and ride shares such as Uber and Lyft, also operate heavily in the area.

Airport shuttle and taxi service is available outside the baggage area of New Orleans International Airport. Downtown New Orleans, is full of excitement and high energy, it never sleeps. Guests can expect to hear street noise very early in the mornings and at night, especially on weekends. There is taxi cab stand in the rear of the property and the fire department just blocks away. Please understand that we have little to no control over noise coming from outside of the resort. However, we do provide white noise machines and ear plugs to provide you a more peaceful rest.
