The Claiborne suite in old Mandeville is located one block off of Lake Pontchartrain and two blocks from Girod Street filled with restaurants and shopping. We can offer one or two queen size beds and the room comes with a full bathroom with tub and shower. Off street parking is included. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe and perfect for walks on the lakefront and enjoying the beauty of Old Mandeville.

Guest will access the room from a private staircase leading to the semiprivate front porch. When you arrive, we will either meet you to show you to your room or we will give you the door code.

During your stay
Before arrival, I usually request that you call me an hour or so before you arrive, so I can be there to open the gate for you vehicle and show you to your bedroom suite.

We welcome any interaction with our guests, however, we will always respect your privacy. There is no required interaction—its up to you to come and go at your own discretion.

There will always be a care taker on the premises who lives in a separate private apartment. There is a very friendly dog on the premises, but he is confined to certain areas. We would also love to provide recommendations for restaurants, local attractions, and are happy to accommodate your requests as best we can.

Small cottage with full kitchen. Small pets allowed 20lbs/9kg for a $20 per day charge. Guest must let me know about pet in advance as well as send a copy of rabies vaccination certificate for the animal. Pet Charges will be handled at check out after a walk through. The space
In the Spring and Fall, concerts at the Trailhead and the Famous Dew Drop Inn are nearby. There are sling chairs for you to take to the concerts or a lakefront picnic!

Two bikes are available for you to explore the area and take on the Tammany Trace Bike Trail, which is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and is now the first rail-trail from Downtown Co Winston to Slidell.

When you are ready to relax, enjoy the comfort of your cozy quiet studio with your own private deck. The deck has a grill and an outside shower-just for you and steps away from a beautiful garden pool!

The Monroe Suite has its own private entrance from a large porch that overlooks the property's gardens. Inside the suite is a king size bed, private bath, dining area, refrigerator, microwave, coffee service and essential oil diffuser. Each suite also has its own outdoor porch seating area with a day bed, dining table and rocking chairs.

Optional add-on breakfast consists of fresh pastries, quiche and other food items, which are sourced primarily from local bakeries and farmers markets.
