There is a laundry room with washer and dryer. The living room has a 65” tv with streaming available. There is WiFi and an office space in the master. The master also has an exercise bike and hand weighs for your use. The backyard has a large octagon picnic table and a gas grill all located under the shady trees for your enjoyment. The front porch has a seating area to enjoy your morning coffee. Rest assure, you will have everything you need to enjoy your stay at our little slice of Heaven!

From the cottage you can jump on the Tammany Trace bike path and head toward Covington and Abita Springs or toward Fontainbleau State Park. Mandeville is a bike and pedestrian friendly community with access to restaurants and shopping.

My husband and I would like to welcome everyone to our relaxing house in the heart of Old Mandeville. You will love it and not want to leave.

Our house is only steps away from Mandeville’s Beautiful Lakefront which is perfect to take a leisurely walk, jog, ride bikes or just sit and enjoy the views and sunsets. There are children’s playgrounds on both ends and a splash pad at the end of the lakefront near our house.

The city boat launch is across the street at the harbor for those who want to bring a boat or book a fishing trip with Wicked Fishing Charters which leaves from the launch. They also offer sunset cruises and kayak rentals.

The Tammany Trace Bike Trail is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and now is Louisiana’s first rail-trail. The bike path runs from Downtown Covington to Slidell.

Old Mandeville offers great restaurants, pubs, gift shops, Saturday outdoor markets, churches and so much more, all within walking and biking distance.

New Orleans' French Quarter, Audubon Zoo, Aquariums of the America, The National WWII Museum, even Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras are less then 45 minutes away!

We have two friendly labradors on the property. They are fenced separately and won't be in direct contact, but they are on site.

Our private fenced in yard has a plunge pool which is approximately 8’ circumstance and 2’ deep. It is for the property owners private use only. We want any parent visitor with young children to understand that this small pool is on the property. Guests can access this private yard by using the emergency exit in the kitchen, so please be aware. This pool is not for guests use.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for the most discriminating chef. There is a large living area with a flat screen television with DVD player and VCR that can be attached. The living area is equipped with a pull out sofa. The cottage comfortably sleeps 5. Quit simply a home away from home.

Two bikes are available for you to explore the area and take on the Tammany Trace Bike Trail, which is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and is now Louisiana's first rail-trail from Downtown Covington to Slidell.

Often with rentals the pictures look great and set high expectations for a trip, and reality just doesn't quite live up to the magic of the pictures. This property is EXACTLY what you see in the posted pictures. It's crazy, in the most wonderful way. Sturdy, whimsical, quirky, unique, comfortable, secluded, spacious, convenient, clean. Just a few words that come to mind when thinking back on our vacation. We love "places with spaces," and this property has so many individual spaces with character. The pool is beautiful and clean - and very well lit at night. The area around the pool is comfortable and spacious. A couple can choose from multiple places to relax, or a group of 10 could easily spread out and find their own spaces. Two fire pits, the covered area with pool table, the extended patio from the kitchen with outdoor curtains, or the kitchen itself, which can be closed up and heated/cooled or left open on all sides to enjoy the breezes while you cook. The living room was a great place to watch the big game, with a large smart TV - and the doors along the side of the living room all open and the flexible TV mount allows for viewing from the pool as well. We were blessed with perfect weather and left this room fully open for most of our vacation. The master bedroom is like a little fantasy suite - again very quirky and unique. I don't believe the master shower is pictured, but it is large and has jets in every direction. There is a good sized closet in this room as well to unpack without cluttering the room. As with the living room, the bedroom doors can be completely opened to the outside. The second bedroom is comfortable and spacious, has a full bath with another large shower, and is connected to a laundry room with a second full sized refrigerator. There is a well-equipped exercise room and a very cool game room. And all of this is behind a private gate with a remote. Marcus is a fantastic host and we were so glad that he was on site when we arrived to give us a full tour and show us controls for the pool, lighting, gate, etc. He was also very responsive during our stay when we had some questions that were not related to the property. We will be returning to this property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway."

This very special property is nestled within the Old Mandeville Historic District. Easy walking distance to the Lakefront and over a dozen bars, coffee shops, eateries, retail shops, and a farmers market. Enjoy the many festivals and community parades.

This is a detached, raised, Acadian, guesthouse. Built in 2015 and renovated in 2022. This space has been a favorite of travelers and family.

From your second-story perch, you will enjoy massive windows with available privacy curtains, and a private porch with a gate that runs the entire length of the home and includes a conversation bench and a pub table with two stools. There is a second entry and exit door off of the fully stocked kitchen that leads into the private, fully fenced, backyard.

Inside you will find a renovated kitchen with a 3/4 size refrigerator-freezer, a full-size range + oven with hood vent, microwave, and a deep single-compartment sink. Small appliances include a Keurig (or drip coffee pot if desired), blender, and toaster with all manner of cookware, cutlery, utensils, towels, cups, mugs, and standard kitchen implements.

The bright living space includes a 48" Smart TV, wireless and ethernet access point, a comfy convertible couch, a dinette, and a dresser below the TV for additional storage. All windows are screened and easy to operate should you opt for a breeze as opposed to the central AC-controlled via smart thermostat.

The private bedroom includes an 11-inch full-size gel-memory foam platform bed + headboard with all bedding and linen needs fully covered as well as a chest of drawers, closet with hanging bar, ironing board, iron, and extra blankets.

The ensuite bath includes ample storage and lighting. The tile shower is equipped with a flip-down bench, removable spray wand, and in-wall toiletry storage. Rounding out the bath area is a stackable washer and dryer for your exclusive use.

Downstairs, you will find heaps of covered storage that we are happy to let you utilize for your bikes or other recreation items. Or feel free to grab one of our bicycles, or kayaks for your use.

Summary:
Fontainebleu State Park is located in Mandeville, on the North shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The park is only about an hour from New Orleans. Fontainebleau has a deep rooted history, with ruins to see in the park and an amazing visitor center to visit. Today, Fontainebleau State Park offers 2800 acres for campers to enjoy and explore. Fontainebleau provides countless options for activities, including fishing, boating, swimming and sunbathing, on the sandy beach of Lake Pontchartrain. There are nature trails to hike and explore - keep your eyes open for the many different types of birds, deer, and other wildlife who make their homes in the park! Additionally, an old railroad track that has been converted into the Tammany Trace by the Rails to Trails program. This serves over 20miles of the surrounding communities as an excellent path for biking, walking or inline skating.

Located approximately 1.2 miles from the park entrance, Woodland L is a partially shaded site. You will be able to drive your car up to the site and park behind the tent and this site is a good option for campers with limited mobility or with young children who do not want a hike-in site.

The site features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also have access to a modern bathhouse for showers and park restrooms just across the street from the campsite.

The Space:
Our easiest to access campsite, located close to bathhouse, approximately 1/2 mile from the sand beach on Lake Ponchatrain

Other Things to Note:
- Pack your own food, water, firewood, bedding, bug spray and flashlights
- There is no electricity, AC, or heater at your Tentrr site, pack accordingly
- Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping and all sites will be inspected for cleanliness and damages before the next camper
- All trash MUST be deposited in the designated trash receptacle that is labeled on the map.Please notes : If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee of at least $50
- Pets are allowed. Please keep all pets on leashes(we recommend 6 ft), and DO NOT let your pets near or swim in any bodies of water.
- Please remember to respect and keep your distance from our wildlife in the park. Feeding any wildlife is prohibited. Be aware and watch all surrounding areas when going off trail.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the state park property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). Our house is steps away from Mandeville's beautiful lakefront for your enjoyment. Beautiful moss covered live oaks surround front deck and waterfront deck in back with views of Bayou Castine and Lake Pontchartrain. Connect to the Tammany Trace by way of a bike path that is located in front of our property. Mandeville Trailhead is 1.2 miles away and has bike rentals, farmers market on Saturdays and free spring and fall concerts.

New Orleans is just 45 minutes away.

Guests must be able to use stairs to access space. Bedroom has 1 king bed and 1 double bed, closet and full bath. Kitchenette: dishes, glassware, sink, microwave, full size refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. There are no shared inside spaces. Outside is a ping pong table for guests to use.

Separate entrance to space. Guest must be able to climb stairs. Outside the separate entrance is a large covered deck with outdoor seating for relaxing and having meals. Also a swing in the back of the property overlooking the water for your enjoyment. There are string lights that light up guest parking and extend to stairs that will lead you to guest entrance. The lights also extend to the swing by the water. Please note all other areas of property are private as we live here.

Blume Cottage, named after Mistress Widow Elizabeth Blume who in 1854 purchased this property . She is the first, female original owner of record. The Cottage has been lovingly restored to maintain the charm of the past and the modern convenience of today! This Creole Cottage, sits two blocks from Lake Ponchatrain in the Historic Mandeville district. Walking distance to the neighborhood's best restaurants, bakery, wine bar, cafe's, coffee shop , antique shops and art gallery .

The space
The Cottage is raised four and a half feet off of the ground. There is also a stairway to the second floor . The back yard is private and has a large patio.
The Primary bedroom is on first level with a king bed and private ensuite. There is a small, full bath off the hall way of first level and a beverage /coffee center and laundry . The great room and kitchen is in the rear of the cottage.

Other things to note
If you would like to host an Event: (i.e. wedding group or any gathering over the permitted 6 guests) you MUST CLEAR THIS WITH US FIRST. Additional fees will apply. If guests are found to have had an Event/ Gathering without host permission which results in additional cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and IN THE UNFORTUNATE EVENT OF THE DISRUPTION OF NEIGHBORS, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am.
