- "I received a welcome email that told me check in was available after 2:00pm. I received another email with the access code stating that check in wasn't until 5:00Pm. Luckily, I didn't get to the property until right at 5:00pm. The code sent via email to enter the building didn't work. I called the help number and discovered the owner had outsourced the management to either Pakistan or India. I could barely understand the guy on the phone, and he was unable to help me. He couldn't find the local rental management office in the system for at least 30 min and was asking me very basic and stupid questions. He finally told me he would call me backand hung up. The local rental management office finally called me back and while the guy was very nice and eager to help, we went through a series of codes that none worked. He finally unlocked the door remotely. So, after an hour,i was finally in the building. Thankfully the room code worked, and I was in. The areas where the rooms are is very nice. The room was nice but very small. Great views from the back deck. The next morning, I received an email saying thanks for staying and the room was available for another night if I wanted...I had already paid for two nights. so, Sunday came and check out was at 10:00...which is an hour earlier than most. Especially with a 5:00pm check in... We packed and loaded the car. I had one item left and at 10:00am on the nose they locked us out. Their system is awful and it' a one and done for me. "

The Lovely Lemongrass Loft apartment at The Mockingbird Inn has a 1st floor full kitchen with washer & dryer. The 2nd floor has an open living room space, 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, coffee nook with a bistro table & 2 chairs, sectional couch and desk. A full bathroom with a soaker tub and glass corner shower. There are 18 carpeted steps to the 2nd floor so guests must be able to climb stairs easily. NOTE: due to our capacity maximum, this is a 2 adult maximum suite. Unfortunately we cannot accept children or pets in this unit.

If you are not familiar with the area, you should know that this is an urban setting with a busy street very close to the property. We felt safe at the property, but it is not in the "upscale" area of Ocean Springs." - "The property was great. Very clean and convenient to everything. The only minor downside was the outside noise. We live in the country and aren't used to a lot of noise at night. For a lot of the night the boom boxes, monster trucks, and other noise generators kept us awake. Government Street is only about 20 feet away from the house. Other than that, everything was perfect."

The layout was ideal for our family. My husband and I stayed in the spacious bedroom and we set up a pack n play for our toddler in the living room. Cute front porch with rocking chairs to have morning coffee. Mgmt was very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again."

There is a boat slip that you can rent as well with this unit. The rental rate is $50 a night. You will need proof of insurance one week prior to your stay for HOA approval.
