Welcome to Turtle House, a unique Carroll B. Ishee designed home nestled in the woods near East Beach in Ocean Springs. With its angular roof lines, large expanses of glass, different floor levels and decks on three sides, the Turtle House invites guests to be attune to nature. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath house offers a peaceful retreat yet is close to East Beach, Gulf Islands National Seashore, USM-Gulf Coast Research Laboratory and downtown Ocean Springs, a place that has received many national accolades for its livability and beauty. With the decks and back yard, the property is secure for children and pets. The house has room to sleep 6, but plenty of interior and exterior space for entertaining, including an outdoor grill and wet bar. Located on a paved dead-end street, there is enough parking for even the Cruisers. The home is very comfortable for couples and families, and we love pets.

While the cottage 🏡 has welcomed all guests, it has a particular appeal for couples who come here to celebrate life events, like anniversaries, birthdays, get away and even an engagement. There have been some great sister as well as girlfriend vacations created here too. It has become a respite for people needing to recharge while disconnecting from a demanding world.

The cottage is well suited for 2 adults and a 3rd adult is permitted but requires a 3 day stay. max. I cannot accept children due to the spiral staircase.

The cottage was created to be intimate, tastefully decorated cottage style comfortable, not fussy, with denim slipcovered furniture. Upstairs in the sleeping loft is a king size bed with a deep memory foam mattress, that guests love. The kitchen is fully stocked with a full size refrigerator, cookware, gas stove and microwave. There's wifi, a large movie library and a 49inch smart tv. You will have access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney, ESPN, local channels, and hundreds of others through streaming.
Please do not use your sign in for these channels, just use mine.

Many of my guests like to travel with their dog (me too!) and I make sure the dogs have a good stay providing them with bowls, towels, a blanket, toys and a fenced in yard.
I would like to know if you are planning on bringing your pet in your inquiry, as well as the size and number. The pet fees, usually $50 depending on the size and number are donated to a local shelter or Gulf Coast rescue groups. 🐶

Guests often comment, 'This is even nicer than the pictures and love the unexpected like a seasonal herb garden, ample parking, and of course the close proximity to downtown. I keep folding beach chairs, so no need to bring them. I am less than a mile to the beach. This is the place to stay to give yourself permission to be as active or lazy as you wish. 😁

The cottage is located on a lovely street in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It is not used for a party house or large events.
The minimum age for renting is 25.
One more thing about the cottage to know is, it is a strictly non smoking rental anywhere on the grounds. Also, no candles please.

Liliiflora Cottage is a modern “dogtrot” style home.
The home is provisioned with all of the necessities and conveniences to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The “Dog Trot” design allows each of the two bedrooms to open onto a large, screened breezeway, which is great for sleeping with the doors and windows open on cool nights. The porch is a great place to relax in one of the hanging hammock chairs and read a good book. The main house has vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen, half bath, laundry and a living area with large screen TV and wireless internet.

Liliiflora Cottage is conveniently located within a short walk to East Beach and only a short bike ride to Ocean Spring’s charming downtown area. Downtown Ocean Springs is host to the famous Walter Anderson Museum and the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center, you’ll also find unique shops, art galleries, museums, the best restaurants on the coast and lots of friendly people. There is almost always something going on downtown, farmers markets and festivals during the day and plenty of night life with great live music at night. The Inner Harbor is only a couple of minutes away and is a great place to buy fresh shrimp right off the boat or book a fishing trip to the barrier islands. The area offers plenty of great fishing that is easily accessible if you prefer to bring your own boat (parking available on site). Shearwater Pottery is just east of the harbor and is an interesting place to stop in. Just a little further up the road is Front Beach. Here there are sandy beaches, picnics tables, bonfire pits, and a community fishing pier. Ft. Maurepas Park is located just across from Front Beach, which is a great place for younger children. There is a new splash pad, playground equipment and a covered picnic area. The parks amphitheater is often host to concerts and other events. Further west is the Ocean Springs/Biloxi Bridge, a very popular and scenic place for walkers to take advantage of the nearly two-mile pedestrian walkway over the Mississippi Sound. This cottage is beautifully renovated and furnished with very nice pieces and lovely usable vintage pieces.it was originally built in the 20's added on to in 40's. Brand new renovation! Kitchen is to die for! Fully equipped.Has a lovely yard. Very close to all activities and shops in Ocean Springs. It is located in old Ocean Springs, in a very quaint neighborhood. One block from Hwy 90. everything in is has been updated.Close to nightlife but far enough away to be peaceful. If you haven't stayed in lovely Ocean Springs yet this is the place for you.
