Shopping and restaurants are close by as well as activities in new roads . TV in living room to watch movies. Kitchen has dishes, coffee pot, pots to cook , microwave and dishwasher . BBQ pit outside also. This is my fishing camp , not the Waldorf Historian , It was built around 1979 . It has been well maintained and we keep it clean for us and our guest . Garfield Cottage is located in the Nicholson Corridor neighborhood of old south Baton Rouge, less than half a mile from LSU campus through an historic oak tree-shaded neighborhood. Mature live oak trees drape over the home and streets to create a beautiful and shady space.

Garfield Cottage is an older home- built around 100 years ago- and maintains much of its original charm: high ceilings, original hardwood floors, and raised pier foundation; it may not be suitable for children 2 and under and is not childproof. Having said that, Garfield Cottage boasts many modern features you've come to expect: central heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans in every room, a king and queen size bed with a new and comfortable mattresses and cozy bedding, a full size and fully functional kitchen, along with clothes washer and dryer machines. There are extra blankets and pillows available plus box fans for cooling and white noise. The patio is pleasant for gathering- the table seats 6+ and there is an umbrella to block the mid day sun. From outside, you can hear the campanile ring the hours and when in season, you can hear the sounds of the famed Golden Band from Tigerland practicing for halftime shows!

A/C both sides of house so circulation is good. House is hidden behind main house, it was only 10 min. from location we needed.
