Located just two blocks from the Bayou Texar and Bayview Park in beautiful East Hill in Pensacola, this newly constructed guest house cottage is the perfect spot four your next business trip or romantic weekend getaway. Enjoy everything the city of Pensacola has to offer while being only a short 15 minute drive to the sugar white sands and emerald water of Pensacola Beach. You will love all of the old oak trees and parks in historic East Hill, one of the most desired neighborhoods in town. Bayview Park is a 23 acre park that offers kayak, paddle board, pedal boat, bike, and hammock rentals. It is a short 5 minute walk from the cottage.

This custom guest house cottage was built in 2024 and was designed to provide a place where guests can create memorable experiences. The gorgeous full kitchen is equipped with everything you may need. With quartz counters, stainless appliances, and high end finishes any family chef would be comfortable here. The kitchen overlooks the living room and large smart TV. Just off the main living area is a queen bedroom, full bathroom, and laundry closet with a stack washer and dryer. There is an on demand water heater so you will never run out. There is also a fold out staircase that leads to a loft area. Up there you will find a built in desk for a dedicated work space. There is also a twin daybed with an additional twin trundle bed.

Outside you will absolutely love the huge covered front porch. With two ceiling fans and four adirondack chairs, relaxing is easy. In the front yard is another seating area with built in benches, an umbrella, propane grill, and fire pit. There is off street parking available for two smaller vehicles or one larger vehicle. - "My family and I were truly impressed with the home and property. Honey was very adept at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed for a fabulous stay. The only thing I would recommend is somewhere to hang wet towels, swimsuits, etc both outside and in the bathrooms. Otherwise, the furnishings are lovely, the beds are all very comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked, and the grounds and view are stunning. I would note, if you are considering staying in the summer, traffic should be a consideration. The description says the house is 15 minutes to the beach. We were there the week leading up to July 4th, and traffic was heavy. There were a few times it took us almost 45 minutes to get to the beach. This isn't the property owner's fault, but it is something to be aware of when staying in the summer."

Recently renovated - this is the perfect home base for whatever brings you to Pensacola. Located in a safe and convenient neighborhood, guests are walking distance to a local grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants, parks, and water access at Bayou Texar. It is only a short drive to the airport, shopping, downtown, and the beach. There is also ample parking for you and your guests in a large unfenced yard.
The space
Originally built in 1928, we did our best to stay true to the style and history of the location with a modern twist during the recent renovation. As much as possible, we used the existing building materials to keep the original charm of the home. The wood floors, tongue-and-groove siding in the kitchen, and (non-working) fireplace have been refinished.

Guest access
Park vehicles parallel or perpendicular to the road and do not drive over the water access (marked with a flag). Access to the property is also available via an alley way on the north side. Do not park in the alley though, some neighbors use it as main access to their property.

Other things to note
More pets, or longer stays, may be allowed at an additional fee - just let us know the details. The yard is not fenced and pets must remain under the owner's control at all times. Any urine or pet feces inside or other pet damage will result in a fine of $500.

Basic cooking equipment and place settings for 6. If you are not interested in washing and reusing dishes, you may want to bring some recyclable paper plates and silverware.

Orange Tree Cottage is a charming getaway, clean and adorable. We love the tree-filled backyard but the interior of the cottage is welcoming. I love the big sofa and chair in the cozy living room. Amenities include great internet, dedicated workspace, king and queen bedrooms, coffee bar, laundry, and much more! Nothing better than reading a good book curled up on the spacious sofa with a cup of coffee to start the day!

- "This was by far the best vacation home we have stayed in. It was clean! And very homey! Great place to relax! Cant wait to stay again!" - "The house was conveniently located, and easy to get around the city. We had our dog with us so my only wish was that the backyard was fenced in." - "Pleasant 2 bedroom with multiple lounging areas. So many items that you don’t think about packing are made available from tape to salt. We have stayed at many VRBO sites & one thing that struck me about this one was the availability of cleaning supplies. We didn’t need them this time (the kids weren’t with us) but available were things like mops, brooms, toilet brush, plenty of trash bags and paper towels, a vacuum, dryer sheets, etc. I enjoy contactless stays & this rental made that an option (as opposed to the ones that insist on greeting every guest- where you feel like you are being judged after a long sometimes stressful road trip). My only negative comment is that the neighborhood was a little loud. It is located near a train yard, tucked behind a car dealership, with neighbors that have loud trucks & a loud dog. I don’t hold that against the owner (I did pick the rental). I’m just saying that I should have looked closer on the map before renting (of course then I wouldn’t have found this little jewel that I would definitely consider renting again)."

Each bedroom has it's own TV; living room has a 75 inch smart TV. All TVs are smart TVs; guests must log into their own streaming services for TV viewing. TVs are set up in "guest mode" which facilitates easy log in and log out for guests.

There's plenty of free parking on site in the driveway; you can easily park four moderate size cars.

We give guests privacy and offer self check in but are available when needed.

Our visit was a quick one, but for the time we were there, I would recommend." - "This is a beautiful home, and they kids loves it too! Kim was so nice and such responsive host. The location is not close to Pensacola beach (it’s about a 40 minute drive from Pensacola), but it was close to Johnson beach, so we went there more than anything. Everyday when we came home from the beach, they got in the jacuzzi for hours (that’s was a nice amenity which provided quiet time for me). The neighborhood is very peaceful. At night, we had to be careful driving back to the house because there aren’t any street lights, and the road is very dark (our tint is too). The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils. The laundry room was also stocked. Kim even had some board games in the living room! She literally left no stone unturned. The only thing I would’ve changed is having access to the garage. We saw a garage in the pictures, and that was a big factor of the booking. We drive a Tesla and the sun drains the battery while it’s sitting. Also, it was storming intermittently our entire stay, so getting the kids into the car meant getting wet for everybody. Overall, this house was lovely and comfortably housed our family. We would definitely recommend this owner and property!"

Other things to note:
The property is an intracoastal waterway beachfront with direct access to the water. In the property you will find a large section of sandy beach, including sitting areas by the sea wall and deck to relax while catching the views! This cottage doesn't feature a full view of the water from the inside or the back patio.

There are a couple military bases in the town a few miles from this location. Occasionally we can hear military training with ordnance.

The artwork is a collection from France and Italy. Try to figure out what the animals represent in the oil painting.

Guests will have access to the entire cottage except the locked owners closet and owners belongings.

The number one question is "how does the shower work?". I've given an explanation in my guest notes, but I'd like to note it here as well:
1. Turn on the faucet in the tub to your desired temperature.
2. There is a ring at the opening of the faucet that pulls down and activates the shower.

This house is located on a barrier island, 2 blocks from the beautiful white sands of Pensacola Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Walk to local restaurants, bars & shopping. Beach trolley during summer months.

The space
This house is in the perfect location. A sidewalk on the west side of the house leads directly to the Beach. It is within walking distance to the center of Pensacola Beach with many restaurants, bars and shopping. A free trolley runs during the summer months.

Guest access
The entire house and yard is available for your vacation enjoyment. The back yard is fenced. Be careful of the sand spurs as they proliferate rapidly. Parking for up to 4 vehicles is available in the drive-way, free of charge.

Other things to note
Across the One-Mile "Bob Sikes" Bridge is Gulf Breeze. Located here is a Post Office, Wal-Mart Neighborhood Grocery and Publix Shopping Center with shops and restaurants.
