This perfect little getaway is just a short walking distance from the beach and a few minutes drive from everything the Gulf Coast has to offer! The cottage was renovated in 2018 with no expenses spared. The interior of the home expresses those eclectic qualities expected from a renovated antique cottage such as beadboard ceilings, heart pine floors, cypress cabinets, and stained glass windows. The home features two small bedrooms containing queen beds, one bathroom, a living area (w/pull out couch), high end kitchen, and delightful porches. The home is preferably placed in West Gulfport, south of the "tracks" as we locals say. This lends easy access both east and west along Highway 90.

The Master Bath features a 5 ft corner whirlpool tub and corner shower. The second bath has a 4 ft shower, both baths have comfort height commodes.

The living room has a plasma TV over the gas fireplace and lots of comfortable seating.

The fully stocked gourmet kitchen is a cooks dream with a gas cooktop, double convection ovens, microwave convection oven, dishwasher and Stainless steel refrigerator. If you would rather grill outside the 16 x 30 ft deck features a gas grill and plenty of seating.

The floors are Brazilian Cherry with tile in the kitchen and baths.

If you've come to play there are 13 casinos within 15 miles all with great entertainment and food. The Island View Casino is only 3 blocks away.

For the kids there is a park across the street with playground equipment, a splash pad and walking paths or walk to the beach just 2 blocks away.

- "We arrived late, they were thoughtful enough to have lights on for us. The house was very clean, well stocked, and in a perfect location. The back porch is the perfect spot for morning coffee and the ocean breeze. The carport is a nice touch as well. It is NOT a complaint, but a concern for the home owner I would suggest adding another bathmat or towel for the floor in front of the walk in shower the floor get soaking wet and I am afraid it is going to ruin the floor over time. My place is for two adults only. It's a few minutes from the beach, between Biloxi and Long Beach. It's close to the boat launch, the casinos, downtown, museums, aquarium, coliseum, airport, and most military bases. The house was constructed in the early 60's, and it has a grandma's warmth and looks It offers a master bedroom with a king-size bed,, a full kitchen, a full bathroom, a spacious living/dining room area, a porch, and a deck that will make you feel cozy and totally at home.

Please, check out the pictures. If you are looking for a modern/fancy look, my house is not for you. At the end of your visit, I want to be rated on the cleanliness of my place when you arrived, my willingness to solve any issue that you might have encountered, the accuracy of my depiction of the house, and my hospitality, instead on your wishing that my house looked like a modern hotel.

If you are searching for a peaceful place to get away from the rest of the world and its noise, my house is for you (no TV in the bedroom, and not basic channels in the living room TV, only Fire TV). If you work remotely and want quiet, my place is ideal for you. If you want some extra quality/ alone time with your loved one to enjoy each other, my place is exactly what you need. Long stays? HOUSE RULES

Our cozy BlueFish cottage is located near the corner of 36th, which is in a transitioning neighborhood. There are some evidence of unprecedented damage and uneven recovery from the intense hurricanes including Katrina, Zeta, and most recently Ida. Gulfport residents are working hard to bring the area back to life. We’re optimistic about the changes and hope our guests would come to enjoy the cottage’s convenient location as much as we have.

A railroad is nearby and can be audible from the home. It’s hard to be near the beach and not near the tracks. While it has never bothered us, please take this into consideration when booking.

- "My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Blue Fish Cottage. The house is very cute, clean, and nicely renovated. It is close to the beach and casinos as advertised. However, the neighborhood was a bit rundown. The neighbors are very close on one side and behind the house. There’s an abandoned home pretty close by and active train tracks very, very close by as well. The train came by multiple times a day. It didn’t bother us that much as we have lived close to trains before but it may be a drawback for some. We had our two small dogs with us and the backyard is fenced which was nice. One of my dogs is a chihuahua mix and he was able to crawl under the house (which is elevated on blocks) and escape. Luckily we found him before he was able to get very far but that’s important to note for guests with small dogs. The shower was beautiful and the hot water was ample and pressure was good. The bed was too firm for our liking and left our backs hurting. It’s also very low to the ground, nearly on the floor. There’s a second bedroom with bunk beds that’s perfect for kids and far enough away from the master to provide privacy. Overall we were satisfied with our stay but there’s definitely room for improvement."

We have a cool record player and lots of vintage records! Classic Rock, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Regional Southern Artists!

The Vintage Cottage is conveniently located to all the attractions on the Gulf Coast and just 1 hour and 15 minutes to New Orleans’ exciting French Quarter. Expect a cheery, and very private, home-away-from- home where you can relax and recharge. Guests enjoy walking around the spacious yard, quiet neighborhood, and just rocking on the porch in the Gulf breeze.

You will be delighted by the short, one block walk to the beach. We provide beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and even a little cart. Walk in the sand, or the paved sidewalk that goes for miles along the beach. The Gulf Coast provides an excellent opportunity for any level of exercise and bird watching.

Our kitchen is well equipped for cooking with plenty of counter space and lots of pots and pans. The Vintage Cottage has extras like a slow cooker and blender. We even have a some fresh herbs growing in our garden. Pick a few sprigs of Rosemary to cook with chicken, fish, or eggplant. You can even put a sprig in your suitcase to make everything smell lovely when you get home.

New Orleans is only 1 hour and 15 minutes away!

THE TRAIN~ The Mississippi Gulf Coast has a railroad track running parallel to the beach for the entire Southeast section of the state. Simply put: Close to Beach = Train. This means that ALL the homes in this part of the world hear the train rumble by and the loud train whistle blow. Trains run several times daily, and during the night, too. Most guests -like us locals- quickly get used to the train. We simply pause in our conversations when a train goes by to wait for the rumble and clickety-clack to pass. Sometimes we hum or sing a train song like Johnny Cash's "Orange Blossom Special." At night, after awhile, we hardly hear the whistle. During your stay at Vintage Cottage you may feel nostalgic about the days when railroads were King.

The space
The one level floor plan provides two bedrooms with queen beds. The living room also provides a queen sized sofa sleeper for additional guests. The living room is equipped with a smart TV. You can stream from Netflix provided or log into any other streaming outlets you may already have. Wireless High-Speed Internet is available throughout the entire house (AT&T).

The Coastal Cottage has a fully updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an electric range, and a dishwasher. We've also added a stocked coffee bar for your enjoyment while you stay!

Enjoy your morning coffee on the back deck while listening to the local song birds and enjoying the Gulf Coast breeze.

There is one full bathroom with essentials provided. (towels, soap, shampoo and a hair dryer)

Cozy up in the living room or at the dining table with one of the board games available or play some dominos! Kids will enjoy the coloring books and crayons. A fun game of Old Maid or Go Fish will bring out the kid in everyone!

2 bedroom historic cottage w front and back covered porches. 2 blocks to the beach/boat launch. Huge fenced yard. Dog friendly. Ample parking (trailers, boat, RV, etc). Outdoor shower/tub 3szn Spacious rooms and plenty of outdoor dining and lounging areas. 5 min walk to the beach, restaurants, or across the street for a to-go daiquiri. We are on a dead-end street with zero car traffic, but! we do have the train, it runs right in front of the house. We love the location and hope you will too.

The space
This 1930 beach cottage has huge rooms, high ceilings and tons of charm. But! also a few oddities come with age (small bathroom, sloping floors in spots, a wonky door or drawer...) There is plenty of closet and storage space. A fully stocked kitchen...Eat, Drink, and Be Merry! We have tried to give our guests tons of cozy and comfy options for enjoying their time here, from chillin on the porch swing or soaking under the stars in an old clawfoot tub, to kicking back in any number of ideal lounging spaces. Its a vibe and we hope you like it as much as we do!

It’s a small bathroom!!! Please note if you require a lot of legroom/space on the toilet, it's going to be challenging and/or uncomfortable for you.

The train is loud. There are disposable earplugs in the copper drawers in the bathroom. If you are sensitive to noise and/or require uninterrupted hours of silence or have trouble falling asleep, this is probably not the house for you. The trains run at night and during the day. They are never very long, but there are multiple everyday, but we think it’s a pretty good trade-off for no cars and proximity to the beach…

Great location in west Gulfport--walk to beach, fishing pier, free community center with workout room, and park with splash pad and walking trail. Less than a mile to Ship Island Ferry, new Mississippi Aquarium, and all the great restaurants in charming downtown Gulfport.

Guests have the entire cottage and large yard for their visit. Guests will be given the key box access code for 24-hour access.

Other things to note
The cottage is across the street from a train track that runs across the Coast, parallel to the beach. Locals who live near the beach are used to hearing the train but just don't want you to be surprised when you hear it. I added insulation and new windows that help mitigate noise.

Property provides spacious rooms and amenities for a home-away-from-home. Kitchen is well equipped for home-made meals along with a large family-style dining room and stand-alone bar. Laundry units available for use and plenty of space to relax in the front and back porches. The house offers three separate bedrooms (queen, queen, and full) along with two bathrooms.

The Master Bedroom, "The Commander's Room", has a queen bed with two barn doors that opens into the living room making for a great gathering area. The "Nautica Room" has a queen bed with a smart TV. The "Captain's Room" has two full size beds with a smart TV. The living room is furnished with a large 50 inch smart tv with internet included, and opens to the dining room and the kitchen area . The kitchen is perfect for dining as it is equipped with all stainless type appliances including refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, disposal, stove, granite countertops, and dining table. The kitchen is fully furnished with all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, silverware, coffemaker and toaster to enable comfortable times when cooking.

Enjoy our vacation home that was built in 1935 with the original wood floors and ceilings in the main living areas. This home is located 1/2 block away from West Side community center which offers free use of their gym and yoga classes. Adjacent to the center is a park with a pavillion, grills, and playground equipment and a splash park for the kids. We are located a 5 minute walk from the Gulf, 10 minute walk to Island view casino, and a 20 minute walk to downtown restaurants.

This is our vacation home, and is set up for long term use so the kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots, pans, cookie sheets, rolling pins, etc. and utensils for you to do some real cooking if you choose to. There is a WalMart in Pass Christian for groceries, and a Winn Dixie off of Railroad St. in Long Beach, but I recommend you try Rouses Market on Pass Road in Gulfport for the freshest produce and a greater selection of gourmet items. For fresh seafood, I reccommend that you visit the pier in Pass Christian for fresh caught shrimp, crab, and crawfish , it will be worth your time!

Welcome to our bright and beachy cottage by the sea. It's newly renovated and only steps to the beach. It's centrally located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Downtown Gulfport is a short 3-mile drive where you can enjoy fresh gulf seafood at one of our locally owned restaurants or have a beer at a coastal brewery. Or head 20-minutes east to Ocean Springs or 20-minutes west to Bay St. Louis where there is no shortage of live music, fantastic restaurants, and great shops.

The space
Seas the Day was built in 2010 and renovated in 2021. The cottage has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The living room and bedrooms have Smart TVs with Wi-Fi and YouTube TV. All of the bedroom lamps have USB ports for easy accessory charging. The front porch is a perfect place to enjoy a nice sea breeze with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The private back patio has lounge seating and a dining table with seating and an umbrella. If grilling is your thing, there is a propane grill.
