Has everything you need and the property owner is very kind and responsive. Everything was every clean and has towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dishes, lots of pillows and blankets. I would bring your own beach towels. We had plenty of room with our family of 4 and enjoyed the patio. Parents loved it and kids loved it. There is a nice TV in the living room and the bedroom with cable. The beach is so so beautiful with sugar white sand and breath taking water. You can bring your own chairs to the beach but not your own umbrella. Maybe .25 mile walk. The laundry and pool are right next to the home which was very convenient. We went in March and the pool was not heated which was the only bummer. I can’t wait to stay here again in the future!"

The Captain's Quarters is a room which sits directly on the Choctawhatchee Bay. It is a Cute cottage connected to our home with soundproofing insulation with a private deck and private covered porch which sits right on the water with beautiful sunrises. You’ll also have a nice gas grill on your private covered porch. You’ll have your own private parking area.
The beach is approximately 10 minutes by car. We are 1 mile east of the mid Bay Bridge exit. We have prepared a Beach kit for you with two beach chairs, umbrella and a thermal bag to put your drinks and snacks in. If you would like a beach wagon, we can also provide that. There is a slight toll to cross the bridge to go to the beach.
Staying at the Captain‘s Quarters you are surrounded by two sides of water. We are the last home before the fresh water stream which makes the Captain’s Quarters extremely private. One of our favorite things in the morning is to watch the sunrise on the dock with a cup of coffee. We would love to have you join us.
We have four kayaks, a paddleboard, lifejackets, and floats to launch at a private beach area just steps from your door. We also have bicycles to use complementary.

We used the beach umbrella and chairs daily. It was nice to have a couple of extra chairs and beach towels available. We also visited all three pools with the toddlers in our group. Thank you to Shelley for good communication and assisting us upon our arrival. The ice machine had trouble keeping up with us but an extra bag of ice solved that problem during the very hot weather. If you prefer not to spend your vacation traipsing the halls of hotels or sharing condo elevators with strangers, enjoy this stunning but cozy cottage in its super convenient location! One-half block (less than 5 minutes walk) to the beach--including showers, restrooms, free kids classes—and a lovely cafe, and 2-5 blocks to 3 grocery stores, over 30 restaurants, movie theaters, bowling, kids play area, and more!

The stunning cottage features a soaring cathedral ceiling in the living/kitchen/dining area, unique finishes, and a one-of-a-kind feel--to make the time when you're not on the beach as enjoyable and relaxing as your time on the beach. The first-floor master suite has a king bed of luxurious memory foam, double sinks, and a large shower. The second suite is upstairs and offers either 2 twin beds (also memory foam) or they can be converted into a king on request. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the loft. Amenities include a high-def TV, wifi, large deck, outdoor shower, full laundry, gas stove, and much more.

The cottage includes an outdoor jumbo spa that can be used as a small, above-ground pool, or the temperature can be turned up to be a hot tub. It has 8 seats with different jet configurations and colored lights. It's a great option for small kids to be safe if the Gulf is rough; for adults to soak, relax on a floatie, do some water aerobics, talk under the stars, wind down at night, etc. We do not have an inground swimming pool. (The nearby beach access has a lifeguard during most daylight hours in summer season to help you be safe while swimming in the Gulf.)

Important: This cottage is part of a family homestead and is only available when part of our family is away. With all separate walls, doors, and windows from the host's home, it is a perfect combination of having a home to yourself, and yet having the hosts adjacent if you need anything or want to ask advice from locals. Driveway is shared. Also, while 8 people are allowed per ordinance, we recommend 4-6 adults max for your comfort and to maintain the luxurious feel, especially for a weeklong stay.

The only even *slightly* not perfect thing was that the AC almost worked too well (if that's even a thing in Florida...). Even with the temperature set at 75, we would often get cold. First world problem but that's literally the only not positive thing I could say. The truth is my feelings about the cottage were solidified when we were getting ready to check out. It was the day of the worldwide IT issues in July 2024, and we were waiting to find out if our 4pm flight back home was going to be cancelled. I messaged Debbie to ask if it would be possible to stay another night if our flight was cancelled (the cottage was open that evening). She let me know it was open, and that we could stay as long as we needed, even past the normal checkout. Most hosts would make a huge deal about it. Instead she called to advise how to best handle everything from her previous airline career view. Ultimately our flight took off on time, but Debbie let us stay until the last minute. Her kindness won't be forgotten! 10/10!!"

This Airbnb is one block from Crystal beach and features a shared community pool, a king bed and is walking distance to many fun beach activities for a dream vacation in Destin, Florida.

This downstairs unit is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, as well as USB plugs by every bed. Kitchen is fully stocked with coffeemaker, blender, toaster, stemless wine glasses, sharp knives, cutting boards and everything necessary to whip up meals in the one-wall kitchen.

You will have the entire downstairs unit to yourself (everything shown in interior photos). The grassy yard, with outdoor seating, is private to this listing. The downstairs unit has its own private entry and is fully separate from the upstairs unit.

The bedroom has a king bed. Outside the bedroom, you'll find bunkbeds.

We provide beach towels (four per stay).

Our home also comes with a small collection of board games for ages 4+. In the main bedroom closet, you'll also find a Pack-and-Play as well as a high chair.

Unit has Wi-Fi fast enough for streaming. We hope you can relax at the beach as much as possible, but if work calls, rest easy knowing our Wi-Fi supports Zoom and video conferencing etc.

The Gulf typically stays warm through the end of October. Late summer and early to mid fall are great times of year to visit Destin and still go swimming in the ocean.

The Destin Doublemint, a bright and airy one-bedroom cottage, is the perfect spot for your beach vacation. It's less than a 2-minute walk to the sand, making it easy to pop back for a dip in the pool or a movie in the AC before walking back over for sunset.

All the modern conveniences and comforts of a fully stocked home with the fun and charm of a vibrant Florida beach home.

This upstairs unit is equipped with high-speed WiFi, as well as USB plugs by every bed. Kitchen is fully stocked with coffeemaker, blender, toaster, stemless wine glasses, sharp knives, cutting boards and everything necessary to whip up breakfast, lunch and dinner in the one-wall kitchen.

The bedroom has a king bed with a Marriott brand mattress. Outside the bedroom, you'll find bunkbeds.

We provide four beach towels per stay.

Our home also comes with a small collection of board games for ages 4+. In the main bedroom closet, you'll also find a Pack-and-Play as well as a high chair.

This unit has Wi-Fi fast enough for streaming. We hope you can just relax at the beach, but if you have to work remotely, you can.

You will have the entire upstairs unit to yourself (everything shown in interior photos). The balcony shown, with outdoor seating, is private to this listing. The upstairs unit has its own private entry and is fully separate from the downstairs.
