Welcome to the Falk House! Recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior, the Falk House is a treasure of mid-century modern design. We've transformed the original art studio into a stylish, private oasis, with expansive views of nature and Eastover’s Upper Twin Lake.

You will be central to all metro destinations, including amazing restaurants, bars, and shopping, as well as area hospitals, courts, and businesses. Long stays are ideal! Although we are not ordinarily set up for children or pets, please inquire and we can discuss the possibilities.

This is a two-acre gated estate. The guesthouse (used as the original owners’ art studio) was positioned for maximum privacy. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow abundant light and splendid views of nature. There are no window treatments. The brick-walled bathroom is connected to the studio by a glass passageway.

The Falk House is also available through a separate reservation for your special occasion, including rehearsal dinners, small weddings, and corporate retreats.

There were plenty of amenities in the house. I cooked several times! Although this was not an issue for me at all, there is a restaurant and bar next door with live entertainment on the weekends and its open until 2:00am, so there was a good bit of noise late into the night. I sat on the porch with coffee and listened to the band, but some people may be put off by the cars and motorcycles passing, people laughing and singing and the occasional yelling across the parking lot."

The space
Warm jewel tones, luxe fabrics, and sleek midcentury modern furnishings welcome you to this historic cottage in the heart of Fondren. Featuring a super comfy California-King sized bed, sleeper sofa (queen), spacious and fully-equipped kitchen* with eat-in bar, and high-speed Fiber Wi-Fi and smart tv. Enjoy morning coffee on a sunny, private patio. Off street parking as well as curbside parking available.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cottage and outdoor patio. A parking “pad” is located to the left of the driveway after turn in in front of the flower bed. Guests are asked to not block the primary drive. Signage will be added in the near future for easier access. A lockbox with the key to the front door is located to the left of the front door.

The Funky Monkey is a whimsical project that grew from a fascination with monkeys that began for me as a child and that my friend Kim brought to life with the idea of listing the cottage as an Airbnb. The flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz mesmerized me at an early age. When refurbishing the cottage as an airbnb, Kim and I found the monkey portrait and the idea for the Funky Monkey themed airbnb was a “no brainer”. All the decor in the cottage is inspired by the portrait and our love of bright colors, fabric textures and monkeys. I hope you find it as fun and whimsical as we have in putting it together.

“Summer’s Haven,” a quaint cottage, was built in the early 1940's in Jackson's historic Fondren District. It sits on a corner lot with a sizable front yard & fenced backyard. The master suite includes a sunroom, which opens on to the deck. The cottage is ideal for families and/or friends, who will enjoy easy access to the Fondren District & Belhaven. Fondren is known for its locally-owned restaurants and cool shops.

The space
Guests have access to the entire cottage except one bedroom. Guests will use the spacious master suite with its own full bathroom and a step down to the sunroom. French doors lead to the deck. A lovely space!

I converted the front bedroom to an office. It is furnished with a twin-size bed.

Although the driveway in the back is accessible, it can be a little cumbersome to exit and enter. We highly recommend that guest simply park on the street in front of the house.
