About our listing: A meticulously kept two story lakefront with beautiful views of lake, mountain, and sunset. Includes fishing dock, canoe, paddle boat, kayak and outdoor seating with fire pit. Enter from either 1st or 2nd story. Upstairs is one 20x25 bedroom/ sitting room with wall of windows facing lake. It has one king size bed, two swivel rockers, leather easy chair, coffee bar alcove with 2 stools and table, 40" TV, electric fireplace, closet and armoire. Flooring is lovely antique pine board.
Downstairs has a large, very well equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) with cherry cabinets, repurposed cedar wood butcher block counters with 4 oak swivel bar stools, a round oak table and stainless steel appliances. Under the stairwell is cushioned seating with storage underneath. The stairs feature drift/curly vine wood railing.
Seating downstairs also includes an inner-spring, double/queen futon. The 7x9 bathroom has a tiled shower, cherry cabinet, one sink, toilet and closet. The downstairs floor is scored and stained concrete with area carpets.
The cottage is designed for 2-3 adults (age 25 and older, pls). No children and no pets.

NOTE for winter season visitors: This year the local lakes will be lowered 5 feet from early November 2025 to early March 2026.; also lowered 2 additional feet in December and January for a city project. During this time, many if not most lake properties have either limited lake access or little water under their docks. That said, you will still enjoy the Blue Heron Cottage comforts, views and wildlife, and the Hot Springs’ attractions and recreation – shoreline hikes, the downtown galleries, the National Park, Oaklawn Race and Gaming, etc. Please see numerous reviews by our guests (during the several fall/winter seasons), including the following:

No kidding, the view is spectacular with Mount Riante in the distance. We are on the main channel facing due South which is important because it means NO MOSQUITOES and there is always a nice breeze.

We are just outside the city limits of Hot Springs which means we are minutes away from everything, 5 minutes from Oaklawn Park, yet located on a private, quiet peninsula.

We have a boat dock available with a marina a few hundred yards away to gas up the boat. You will put your boat in at Hill Wheatley park and hop across the main channel to our boat dock.

We have covered parking for your vehicle or your boat trailer. You will want to put your boat in prior to coming to cottage as we have a steep driveway.

Redbud Cottage is a fully furnished non-smoking cabin, able to sleep six adults and set amid our 160 acre nature preserve near Arkansas' lower Buffalo River. Turkey, deer, rabbit, and an occasional fox are some of the common visitors to our land, and wildflowers and mature trees populate the rolling hills and deep hollers. We can be easily reached from major highways to the north or south, and many of the areas foremost attractions are nearby: America's first national river - the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point, Indian Rock House bluff shelter, and the historic mining town of Rush. The world- famous White River is about a half hour to the north, as are Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes. Two towns famous for musical and recreational entertainment, Mountain View, Arkansas and Branson, Missouri, are a scenic one hour drive. And for those who only wish to relax and recharge amid the natural beauty of our Ozark hills and lovely Redbud Cottage, we offer a spacious screened deck, covered picnic area, outdoor fire pit, and complete privacy.

The cottage is well furnished, very private, and includes convenient outdoor outlets for overnight electric vehicle charging. NEW in 2025 - high speed fiber internet. We're in close proximity to the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point park and also the historic mining town of Rush, and access to Redbud Cottage is along our private and well-maintained one-mile gravel road. The cottage has two double beds in the lower level bedroom as well as a queen bed in the upper level loft. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a double bed, as needed. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils of every kind. Both the stove and refrigerator are full size, there is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and the kitchen table seats six. Bed linens, towels, pillows and blankets are supplied. The bath is a tub and shower combination. There is a charcoal grill in the yard, but please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Enjoy our screened deck, covered picnic area, and outdoor fire pit and there is ample level parking for vehicles, canoes, and other outdoor gear. The cottage is air conditioned for your comfort, and gas heat assures comfort year round.

Creekside Cottage Information: Located just outside of the Shoal Bay Recreation Area gate in New Blaine, AR sits this tiny cottage. If you like to fish and enjoy all of the amenities that Shoal Bay has to offer but do not have an RV, this is the place for you. (Please note that the Recreation Area is only fully open March through September. If you come in the off season you can still enter to fish and hike, but the restrooms and swimming area will be closed). The tiny cottage is perfect for couples but can sleep four if the futon is used. This is not a 5 Star Hotel. It’s a cozy, comfortable, and conveniently located cottage that won’t break your budget. Creekside Cottage is a total of 400 square feet but offers a sitting area and kitchenette with coffee pot, microwave, small crock pot and mini fridge. (A larger fridge is located under the picnic pavilion.) There is a TV with DVD player and a selection of movies. Sorry, but no other TV service or WiFi is available at this time. A separate bedroom features a queen size bed with a comfortable 12" memory foam mattress. The rustic decor bathroom includes a large shower. Linens and dishes are provided. Temperature is controlled by a window unit and ceiling fan. A heater is also available for those of you that are cold natured.

Not only are you within walking distance of the Recreation Area. Which offers swimming, hiking, fishing, and a playground, the Creekside Cottage property has several great things to offer. A separate two car carport (approximately 200 feet from cottage) is available to park your vehicle or boat as well as a picnic pavilion sitting alongside the small wet weather creek that crosses the property (may not be flowing during severe dry spells). The charcoal grill, and fire pit add to your outdoor experience.

Local Information: Shoal Bay Bait and Tackle is located next door to the property.
Along with bait, they also have cold drinks and rent kayaks. There is a large Dollar General, a convenience store and a restaurant located within approximately two miles of the cottage. Menus are provided for your convenience.

Area Information: New Blaine is half way between Paris, AR (The Gateway to Arkansas' highest point, Mt. Magazine) and Dardanelle, AR (Home of Beautiful Mt. Nebo). See these two mountains and take a 45 minute drive to Petit Jean State Park to complete your Tri-Peaks Tour. Spring Lake Recreation Area and the Huckleberry Mountain ATV and Horse Trail System, are both located in the nearby Ozark National Forest. Stop in Subiaco on your way to Paris and tour the beautiful Catholic Monastery - Subiaco Abbey. In Paris, you will find Eiffel Tower Park, a nice place to add your Love Lock to the fence and take pictures at the tower fountain. Also located in Paris is the Cowie Wine Cellar and Museum, part of the Arkansas Wine Trail. One hour away is historic Ft. Smith, Arkansas where you can ride the trolley and visit the Ft. Smith Museum of History as well as the Ft. Smith National Historic Site (home of the Judge Parker gallows).

The space

Property Description

This small resort, established in the 1940s, consist of 9 cottages on Lake Hamilton. Through the years the cottages have received many updates, however they still posses the charm of the past, while still being comfortable and clean.

The property right on the shores of Lake Hamilton, complete with a boat launch ramp and two covered boat docks, with a total of four boat slips. Whether you bring your own boat, or rent one locally from one of the marinas, you can have your boat close at hand.

The pebble stone beach and sunning area makes for a great place to play, or relax and enjoy the lake.

Edgewater Resort is conveniently located in Hot Springs, less than 15 minutes from most attractions like; Bathhouse Row, Oaklawn Race Casino, Garven Woodland Garden, Magic Springs Amusement Park, Mid-America Science Museum, Gangster Museum, Hiking Trails, Bicycling Trails, and of course fishing and all kinds of water activities, to list a few. PETS only permitted in indicated cottages: We only allow pets in some of our cottages and it will be noted on the cottage information if it is pet friendly. A $35 “per stay” fee is applied, with a maximum of (2) pets. The maximum allowable pet weight is 70 pounds. You MUST clean up after your pet. That includes properly disposing of all waste material. You must also maintain control of your pet at all times (leash law in effect), and pets must never be left unattended. Any complaints from other guest or management, regarding excessive noise or other nuisances may be cause for immediate termination of the use agreement and forfeiture of the guest’s remaining nights. The pet fee does not cover any damage by the pet(s). If soiling or damage to the cottage occurs, fees will be charged accordingly. Undeclared pets are subject to a $200 penalty fee.

This property features 7 exterior security cameras, but only 3 are functional: 1 camera is located on the vacant cottage facing the back deck, 1 camera is located on the vacation rental facing the driveway, and 1 camera is located on the back corner of the home facing the lake. These cameras are outward facing, do not look into interior spaces, and record video continuously. The other 4 cameras are located on the remaining 3 corners of the home and the fence near the lake. These cameras are non-functional and will not be turned on while guests are in the residence

My home is in a quiet, secluded neighborhood near Lake Catherine. It’s location is close to Catherine’s Landing.

There is an inviting deck to sit on and relax. Parking for 3 cars and extra parking below the deck area for additional vehicle.

You will have the home to yourselves. Self check- In using a keypad.

It is near 3 recreational lakes. The furtherest ( Lake Ouachita) is only 35 minutes away. Plus, it is minutes from Lake Side Schools.

**Clean!!

The space
Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations. You are provided with cleaning supplies during your stay.

Coffee or tea is provided. There is a coffee pot, coffee press, steam kettle, and several ways to have tea. I also have laundry, detergent, iron and ironing board. Bath towels/bed linens are provided and a blow dryer. Bathroom cabinet has small amenities that you might have forgotten. When you book, a starter kit is provided with bath tissue, paper towels, trash bags, bath soap, laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent. Items ARE NOT replenished during your stay- no matter the length of your stay. I ask that towels not be carried off site. Bring beach towels if needed.

Outside on the deck is a patio table/ chairs for dining, ( in the winter, you can see the lake from the deck). There isn’t a grill; however, you are welcome to bring a small grill. There is a fire pit with chairs, but you will need to provide firewood ( bought at store). No smoking of any kind allowed in my home. Charges will be added if smoking inside home occurs. Everything is inventoried. Checks are made after your stay. If anything is taken or broke, you will be charged. accordingly. Thanks

*Location: Google Maps will not exactly take you to my address. It puts you at the bottom of the “Loop.” Doesn’t seem to be a problem with other apps. I’m at the corner of Abbie Street and Anatole Loop.

Declaimer Note: This is a house five minutes from the lake. ( bluff side-no access). Ticks ( especially “Seed Ticks”) are a way of life in Arkansas, due to weather and wildlife. If you are outdoors be aware of bugs in general, open doors, leaving food on floor and eating in beds. Gnats, flies, Palmetto Bugs and other common pests like living by the lake, too!

Authentic 1882 carriage house is located 4 blocks off I-630 - just minutes from the VA Med Center, UAMS and Children's Hospitals, in the heart of the business, South Main (SoMa) and River Market districts.

The carriage house is where the horse and carriage were housed.

The owners live in the main cottage and the two houses are separated by a brick courtyard with a waterfall.

The space
The Kirkwood Cottage carriage house is located 4 blocks off I-630 - just minutes from the VA Med Center, UAMS and Children's Hospitals, in the heart of the business, South Main (SoMa) and River Market districts.

The carriage house is a good choice for business travelers (in addition to fast WiFi, we have a wireless printer there as well), or couples who want a romantic getaway and it is perfect to accommodate your extended stay guests.

Stay a month or longer for just for half the normal night rate, or stay a week or more and save 10% off the daily rate. Pricing will depend upon length of stay.

We are pet friendly - we have a Yorkie named Bear, who will no doubt greet you when you enter the courtyard.

We have 4 wireless phone chargers. You might have to take your phone out of its case to charge. There is one in each bedroom and two in the living room.

We also have two Alexa dots - one downstairs by the sofa and one upstairs on the coffee station. To listen to your favorite music, just say something like: “Alexa, play classic Christmas music”. Or ask Alexa about what is the weather forecast or where the closest Mexican restaurant is. Just start out by saying “Alexa” and then what you want to know.

A private entrance through the brick courtyard (you will enter thru the privacy fence gate with digital code to enter), hand-scraped hickory floors in living room, painted wood floors upstairs and the original brick floors in entry and kitchen. Two gas log heaters, period light fixtures, and a wood-burning stove add to the historic nature of this upscale 1,470 square foot barn.

Updated features like fast WiFi and two flat panel SmartTV’s with Direct TV, HBO, free Netflix and Amazon Prime (pay-per-view is NOT included; if you choose to rent a movie, please leave payment for it), a large shower in the downstairs bathroom, another full bathroom upstairs, a full size washer and dryer, and quality mattresses in the two adjoining bedrooms ensure you the comfort you deserve and a queen bed set up behind the sofa right next to the downstairs bathroom,

The kitchen is furnished with a side by side refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, a oven, two coffee makers (12 cup and Keurig coffee maker) and self-cleaning oven. Dishes, silverware and utensils are included for your convenience, as well as thick, fluffy towels and linens. We have a second Keurig coffee maker upstairs on the coffee bar.

The enclosed courtyard has a small pond with waterfall and a gas grill, should you want to cook or entertain outdoors.

We also have a crib with changing attachment, children’s eating plates and utensils, a high chair to set on one of the dining chairs. We also have a pop up play pen in the upstairs walk in closet. Iron and ironing board is in that walk in closet too and extra blankets including baby blankets.

Automatic lighting means you never come home to a dark house.

The carriage house is located in the Governor's Mansion historic neighborhood and is great for walking or bike riding, with an active arts and entertainment district just 3 blocks away on South Main.

The carriage house is located in the Governor's Mansion historic neighborhood and is great for walking or bike riding, with an active arts and entertainment district just 3 blocks away on South Main. The River Market is quite close as well, with many restaurants, bars, shopping, and the Clinton Presidential Library. Walgreens, a grocery store and post office are just blocks away.

City bus is just a half-block away. Easy walking to a number of things as well. Bike riders (rental available downtown) would have a field day as the city streets are flat and easy to travel.

Updated features like WiFi and two flat panel TV’s with Direct TV, a full bathroom downstairs and another full bathroom upstairs, a full size washer and dryer, and quality mattresses in the two adjoining bedrooms ensure you the comfort you deserve.

The kitchen is furnished with a side by side refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, two coffee makers (12 cup and single cup) and self-cleaning oven. Dishes, silverware and utensils are included for your convenience, as well as thick, fluffy towels and linens. The enclosed courtyard has a small pond and a gas grill, should you want to cook or entertain outdoors.

The space
The property was built in 1948, the year my grandma was born (one of my favorite humans). One detail of the many as to why I bought it as my first home. It’s an old home. Original hardwood floors throughout. I keep it well maintained and updated as needed but it is not new construction. It’s old, loved, and lots of character throughout. I hope you help me maintain a level of peace and comfort here so it can be enjoyed by you and others.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful lake house cottage on Lake Hamilton. There is plenty of wildlife to enjoy while fishing, swimming, and enjoying the peaceful outdoor space. You are just a short drive from the Hot Springs National Park and its historic downtown bathhouses (17 mi), Oaklawn Race Track & Casino (17 mi), Magic Springs Theme Park (20 mi), Mid-America Science Museum (14 mi), and much more.

The space
The cottage is approximately 250 ft from Lake Hamilton's shoreline where you may fish, swim, kayak, paddleboard, go boating, or just enjoy the view. Located just off the main channel on the Big Mazarn River, this cottage has a small boat ramp and a shared boat dock, a boardwalk, a picnic area with a pavilion, and a fire pit. The quiet wooded neighborhood provides an opportunity to see deer, fox, turkey, and other wildlife.

The cottage has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a dining area, a living room, and small office space. There is room for a family of six. Absolutely, NO parties allowed. Quiet hours are 10 PM-7 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbors.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cottage, which includes a private back porch and yard. They also have access to the shared space at the water's edge. The shared space includes a small boat ramp, pavilion, boardwalk, dock, firepit, and swimming area.

Please note - Lake Hamilton is regulated by Entergy which does an annual drawdown beginning November 1st and refill beginning March 1st to allow for dock repair and algae control. Access to the water from our dock during the drawdown is not possible.

Other things to note
Small dogs are allowed in the cottage and must be housebroken. Larger dogs must be approved by management. The pet fee is $35 per stay per pet. Please notify management if bringing a service animal.

No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the cottage. Additional charges will be applied to cover damages including steam cleaning if smoking has occurred inside the cottage. Smoking is permitted outside only. An ashtray is provided on the back deck. Please dispose of cigarette/cigar butts in the ashtray.

The property is monitored with outside security cameras to protect it from potential break-ins and theft. There are NO cameras inside the cottage.

Check-in is after 4 PM. Check-out is before 11 AM. Guests must vacate the property upon check-out before 11 AM. Late check-out is subject to extra charges at the rate of one night's fee after a grace period of 30 minutes. Any possessions left by guests and found by the cleaning crew may be subject to a removal fee.
