We are sitting on 2 acresof property with 300 feet of waterfront at the mouth of theTallaseehatchee Creekand the Coosa River. We offer a nice boat launch that can accommodate even larger boats.

This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath house can sleep up to 6 with a fully equipped kitchen open dinning room with a six person dinning room table. In the laundry room you will find and a large capacity washer & dryer with some of the essentials provided. The living room provides a big screensmart tv where you can enjoy your favorite streaming services using free high speed internet, we also provide a few classic board games, card games, and a few books to read.

Outside you will find 2 covered decks overlooking the property with a beautiful water view. Enjoy a cookout on a charcoal BBQ grill. Then make your way down to the water via a gentle slope stair free, to a beautiful sitting area with a natural stone firepit. The boat ramp and it'stwo docks are just a few feet away from the house. In addition to all this you will also have access to kayaks that can be used to go exploring on the creek.

We will never ask you to do a long list of chores before you leave. All we ask you to do is kindly take out all of your trash before you leave. We are here to make sure you enjoy your vacation.

In the front of the cottage, facing the woods is a fire pit as well as a chimenea to take the chill out of those cool nights. Or, you may choose to sit on the porch that runs halfway around the house and enjoy a cool drink or a hot cup of coffee.

A spacious deck, nestled among the trees, surrounds the back and provides ample space for dining, grilling, unwinding, and gazing at stunning sunsets overlooking the lake.

Follow the stairs down to the lake and arrive at a large dock with views across the cove. Here you can sit and relax, cast a line for some jumbo bass, launch the kayaks, or read a good book surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. There’s also a lakeside fire pit and seating to enjoy the serenity of the lake.

Inside:
The cottage boasts an A-frame style that creates a large open area feel and offers plenty of space to cook a gourmet meal, entertain friends, or just relax.

A fully stocked kitchen with a dining area as well as an electric fireplace for those chilly Alabama nights creates the perfect atmosphere to ensure you and your family are nice and toasty.

The kitchen opens to a large sunroom that looks out over the lake. Cuddle with that special someone or curl up with a good book on the full-sized sofa. A 55-inch TV is available to stream the big game or choose a good movie from an assortment of DVDs.

The master bedroom contains a queen-sized bed and a 32-inch smart TV to stream your favorites.

There is a full bathroom complete with a tub and shower that contains all the amenities to meet your needs.

A winding staircase leads to the loft area. Enjoy the picturesque views of the trees as you lie in the full-size bed large enough to accommodate two adults.

Guests have access to the entire cottage including the fire pits, decks, and grounds, as well as Wifi. Please do not access private storage areas.
There is parking in the front of the house for two cars.
Other things to note
There’s a mile stretch of narrow gravel road leading to the cottage on Kelley Lane that’s in various states of disrepair. Please drive slowly, as there are a few ruts, potholes, hills, and curves. A truck or SUV is preferable, though most cars will be fine. Ignore the no-trespassing sign and pass underneath the covered bridge.

Please use caution when descending the stairs to the lake, especially at night. Be sure to turn on the dock and deck lights (first switch on the left in the kitchen). There are also solar lights on the railing to guide your way.

The spiral staircase to the loft is narrow and will not accommodate persons above 325 lbs.

The electric fireplace will be available from late November through April.

Park your boat and trailer on the gravel driveway along the fence, or anywhere along the wood line, as long as it’s off the road. Launch at Cedar Creek Marina, 5 miles down the road.

Beware that the water in the cove is shallow. Most bass and pontoon boats should have no problem as long as they stay between the white PVC channel markers Alabama Power has placed.

There are many stumps and submerged trees throughout the lake. Please use caution, follow all safety rules and regulations, and boat responsibly.

There is a Dollar General store about 15 minutes away or a Walmart or Piggly Wiggly in town about 25 minutes away.

Please observe quiet hours after 11 pm and before 8 am.
Fires must be attended to at all times.

One bedroom pool house available on an equestrian estate in Birmingham, Alabama. Very private yet very convenient to I459 and a I20. Only minutes to downtown Birmingham or to Barber motor speedway. Lovely outdoor pool, outdoor dining space with a fire pit, lovely sunporch, and a designated covered parking space. Bedroom has a full-size bed and there is a couch that converts very easily to a twin in the den. Perfect get away, couples retreat, or place to enjoy while in the Magic City!

Guests my use the pool house, designated outdoor grill and patio space, pool house guests only may use the pool during their stay at their own risk. Access to the barn is by request only.

Please note that there is a maximum of three adult guests per stay, or two adults guests and two children. There is no hosting any events, dinners, or parties allowed. Relax with the whole family at Peaceful Valley Retreat. We hope to provide a memorable getaway to enjoy nature, hike, fish, play cornhole, and grill out! This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home offers space to sleep 8 with a king bed, a full bed, and two twin bunk beds with a full on top. Once you are ready to wind down, you have a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill, living room with a smart TV, and board games waiting for family competition! Secure entry provided by an electronic keypad.

Spacious rooms offering closet space & hangers. One bathroom features a large walk-in shower, while the second full bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Welcome to a waterfront cottage on the Coosa River of Lay Lake. You don't have to sacrifice relaxation and beauty for convenience.  You will find the cottage conveniently located on all paved roads less than a mile off HWY 280 in Childersburg AL. Here you will find a beautiful view of the Tallaseehatchee Creek. There are many nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and shops for easy access to anything you need.

The space
We are sitting on 2 acres of property with 300 feet of waterfront at the mouth of the Tallaseehatchee Creek and the Coosa River. We offer a nice boat launch that can accommodate even larger boats.

This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath house can sleep up to 6 with a fully equipped kitchen open dinning room with a six person dinning room table. In the laundry room you will find and a large capacity washer & dryer with some of the essentials provided.  The living room provides a big screen smart tv where you can enjoy your favorite streaming services using free high speed internet, we also provide a few classic board games, card games, and a few books to read. 

Outside you will find 2 covered decks overlooking the property with a beautiful water view. Then make your way down to the water via a gentle slope stair free, to a beautiful sitting area with a natural stone firepit.  The boat ramp and it's two docks are just a few feet away from the house.  In addition to all this you will also have access to kayaks that can be used to go exploring on the creek. 

We will never ask you to do a long list of chores before you leave. All we ask you to do is kindly take out all of your trash before you leave. We are here to make sure you enjoy your vacation.

Myself and other family members often enjoy using our river house. Unfortunately we are highly allergic to pet dander therefor we can not allow dogs or cats on the property due to health reasons. Thank you for understanding.

You can enjoy the entire outside property including sitting area, fire pit and boat launch. You will have access to our kayaks, but ask that you don't transport them from the property and that you stay in the creek while using them.

Situated in a quiet cove overlooking Lay Lake, Foxhaven Cottage provides the perfect balance of seclusion and comfort while offering ready access to central Alabama beauty.

The area is geared for all you outdoor enthusiasts, sportsmen, and those seeking a little downtime. We provide kayaks and/or paddle boards that can be launched directly from the property with 100 feet of lake access.

For larger groups, ask about the second cottage a few doors down that accommodates up to 4 more people.

Boaters and fishermen, feel free to park your trailer on the gravel driveway or the grassy area in the front of the cottage. Launch at Millie's Marina (formerly Cedar Creek) just 5 miles down the road.

In the front of the cottage, facing the woods is a fire pit as well as a chimenea to take the chill out of those cool nights. Or, you may choose to sit on the porch that runs halfway around the house and enjoy a cool drink or a hot cup of coffee.

A spacious deck, nestled among the trees, surrounds the back and provides ample space for dining, grilling, unwinding, and gazing at stunning sunsets overlooking the lake.

Follow the stairs down to the lake and arrive at a large dock with views across the cove. Here you can sit and relax, cast a line for some jumbo bass, launch the kayaks, or read a good book surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. There’s also a lakeside fire pit and seating to enjoy the serenity of the lake.

Inside:
The cottage boasts an A-frame style that creates a large open area feel and offers plenty of space to cook a gourmet meal, entertain friends, or just relax.

A fully-stocked kitchen with a dining area as well as an electric fireplace for those cold Alabama nights creates the perfect atmosphere to ensure you and your family are nice and toasty.

The kitchen opens to a large sun-room that looks out over the lake. Cuddle with that special someone or curl up with a good book on the full-sized sofa. A 55-inch TV is available to stream the big game or choose a good movie from an assortment of DVDs.

The main bedroom contains a queen-sized bed and a 40-inch smart TV to stream your favorites.

There is a full bathroom complete with a tub and shower that contains all the amenities to meet your needs.

A winding staircase leads to the loft bedroom. Enjoy the picturesque views of the trees as you lie in the full-size bed large enough to accommodate two adults.

Please note: We are on the lake in the woods. Expect bugs, wildlife, cobwebs, etc. outside. We have pest control and regular cleanings, but you still may see a bug or two in the house, as we are surrounded by trees and water.

Guests have access to the entire cottage including the fire pits, decks, and grounds, as well as WiFi. Please do not access private storage areas.
There is parking in the front of the house for two cars.

Other things to note
There’s a mile stretch of narrow gravel road leading to the cottage on Kelly Lane that is sometimes in various states of disrepair. Please drive slowly, as there are a few ruts, potholes, hills, and curves. A truck or SUV is preferable, though most cars will be fine. Ignore the no-trespassing sign and pass underneath the covered bridge

Please use caution when descending the stairs to the lake, especially at night. Be sure to turn on the dock and deck lights (first switch on the left in the kitchen). There are also solar lights on the railing to guide your way.

The spiral staircase to the loft is narrow and will not accommodate persons above 325 lbs. Large luggage can be tricky to get up the stairs.

Park your boat and trailer on the gravel driveway along the fence, or anywhere along the wood line, as long as it’s off the road. Launch at Millie's Marina (formerly Cedar Creek Marina), 5 miles down the road.

Beware that the water in the cove is shallow. Most bass and pontoon boats should have no problem as long as they stay between the white PVC channel markers Alabama Power has placed. There are many stumps and submerged trees throughout the lake. Please use caution, follow all safety rules and regulations, and boat responsibly.

Piggly Wiggly grocery store and Dollar General are about 15 minutes away. Super Walmart is about 25 minutes away.

Please observe quiet hours after 11 pm and before 8 am.
Fires must be attended to at all times.
Please do not move furniture.

Check-out instructions:
-Please wash all dishes, and the grill, if used.
-Take out all garbage to outdoor cans - all trash must be bagged, so it can be transported elsewhere.
