Maintenance arrived and was unable to solve the leak, so they just put a bucket underneath it. After calling the support line, they were unable to relocate us to another apartment. We'd like to welcome you to "Green Pastures". This was our "dream property" for over 20 years as we passed by it almost every day. We became friends with the previous owners many years ago and amazingly, now it's ours! We're looking forward to sharing it with you! I know that you'll enjoy your stay here!! The Studio at Green Pastures is one of 4 rentals offered by Green Pastures Getaways.

The Studio at Green Pastures is one of the most unique spaces you'll find anywhere! The view thru the over sized glass garage door is breathtaking. You can watch our flock of Katahdin sheep (and other animals) grazing in the pasture just outside. The space is used as an Art Studio and is decorated with an artistic coffee shop theme. The space boasts a small stage, 84 inch TV, multiple tables set up with games and books (to resemble a coffee shop), lot's of art, a full kitchen, coffee bar, etc. The space has an open floor plan with beautiful concrete floors and has the feel of a loft or Barndominium.

Outside the pastures are green and beautiful! There's a lot to enjoy around the property and you're welcome to roam around. There is an old trolley that was used in downtown Birmingham sitting right beside The Studio. The area beside the trolley has tables and chairs, cafe lights and is a great place to sit and relax. There is a pond for fishing (some large bass and bream) just down the hill. Star gazing is amazing as is looking at a gorgeous moon, sunrise, sunset, etc. It's not uncommon to see deer and turkeys roaming the pasture, owls and hawks fly by, herons looking for a meal in the pond, and most recently a group of small foxes. All types of birds make regular visits to the feeders around the property.

The Studio at Green Pastures is one of 4 rentals offered by Green Pastures Getaways. If you need more space there are options! There is a 3 BR / 3 BA house (Shepherd's Retreat) on the property that can accommodate 6 guests. There is a separate guest house (The Cottage) on the property that can accommodate 3 guests. There is another space (The Barn) that we have that is less than half a mile away that can accommodate 5 guests. Just inquire about these options and I'll be glad to give you all the details.

We spend a lot of time here at Green Pastures and are typically on site on a daily, basis. There is a lot of property to maintain, grass to cut, animals to care for so you'll see us around. If we're not here, we're usually close by and always only a call or text away.

The expectation is that all of our R&R guests will pitch in to make a harmonious co-living atmosphere. Guests are often a mix of longer term stays and one night roadtrippers. Are you looking to move to the area or on a short term work assignment? R&R Hostels is your spot.

The R&R Hostel// Birmingham consists of four private rooms, a dorm room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living room. There are 2 shared bathrooms.

Dorm Bed C is a TOP bunk bed. Each reservation for Bed C can only be made for ONE guest. Your bunk is in a dorm room with 5 other people.



Washer and dryer access is available for $5 fee (this includes detergent). Laundry Access is available from 6pm to 9am.

The house hosts a MAX of 10-11 at a time and we do stay mostly booked.

My location is 7 minutes from University of Alabama at Birmingham’s college, downtown, shopping center, mall and bars! You will get this private bedroom and a walk-in closest. The bathroom is shared with other one roommate. If you have any question, send me a message. I usually respond less than 10 minutes. We have a doorbell ring camera recording 24/7 outside of the house at the entrance.

Are you wanting to be close to everything downtown has to offer? Our home is centrally located in Birmingham, and features large but cozy private rooms. Our home is located close to all the new happenings of downtown Birmingham. You will be in walking distance to the new Uptown area of Birmingham. Our home features fully furnished spaces, with a great host. All of the rooms are large, and the furnishings are nice. Wifi is also included. Our home is also a 5 minute walk to a bus stop.

Relatively new house, very clean, no animals, the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. We also have external security cameras, well-lit streets.

Welcome to a quiet, cozy home in West Homewood—just 10 minutes from UAB Hospital. You’ll have a private room and bathroom, off-street parking, and access to a huge backyard. Walkable to parks, restaurants, and groceries. The space is peaceful and clean, ideal for working professionals or anyone needing a calm place to recharge. I’m a resident at UAB (gone a lot), and my sweet dog Moose is always around to say hi!

This home is ideally located minutes away from both I-65 and I-20. You can walk over to Legion Field. Princeton Hospital is up the street. It’s minutes away from Downtown Birmingham, Railway Park, the McWayne Center, UAB, and the Fairgrounds in Ensley. Our home is in a quiet residential community. Your large room enjoys its own private entrance and three large windows providing great sunlight and views. You share this home with a renown author and master yoga instructor. You may want a class!

The space
The inside space of beautiful filled with African art, healing energy and good vibes along with a full kitchen, a large washer and dryer, and two living rooms. Your room comes equipped with a bunk bed with twin mattresses and a day bed that sleeps as a double or a. convert to a king. The outside exudes warmth and love with a huge backyard complete with playground, trampoline and...wait for it...a great big weeping willow tree! The front also offers nice yard space along with a front porch patio where can relax and enjoy the sun. The shared spaces are generally unoccupied given that my mother and I travel often and stay busy so enjoy the house!

Guest access
You are welcome to use the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room any time of the day or night. The front patio porch and back yard are yours to explore and enjoy. Guests are also welcome to use the middle living room which has been designed as a meditative space for reflection and peace. One of the great things about this space is the Guest bedroom has it its own private entrance so Guests can come and go as they please without concern for disturbing or interacting with others. You will feel like you have your own apartment, not just a private room!

During your stay
We encourage our guests to enjoy their space and their privacy. Your comings and goings are your own. You access your living space directly from the street. So enjoy your time. The host and co-host (me and my mom) often travel and keep to ourselves. But we are quite social and do a lot of work in our community. My mom has authored a book called Journey to Forgiveness about domestic violence. She also counsels women and is a master yoga instructor. She encourages healing, peace and reflection. She also climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro at the age of 70!

Other things to note
You will always have a parking space! Even when the Southern Classic or a huge concert comes to Legion Field right down the street, you will have parking. We are pescatarians and eat relatively healthy so there’s always room in the fridge for guests! We have coffee and herbal teas that are available to guests.
