The Cottage is very cozy and spacious with 690 sq feet to spread out in; it is decorated with a mixture of vintage and industrial decor. Visitors will have complete privacy within the house at all times, but with our home close by, we are always happy to help should you need anything!

We are located in Downton Brandon in the Historic District. The Cottage is a guest house seated behind our home; it is a very quiet place, and it is great for working individuals, couples seeking a fun concert experience, or families participating in ball tournaments. We are approximately 10 miles from Jackson, so staying here is very convenient as well as very safe.

The house has been completely updated to include a bathroom (which also has one step up) with double vanities, a walk-in shower that includes a shaving ledge, and a washer/ dryer unit. There is a full kitchen that is well supplied for those that want to prepare meals and a bar top that accommodates 4 people. The bedroom is it's own room with closing doors for privacy; there are 2 steps going down into the bedroom. In the living room, we have a sleeper sofa along with a large 50" TV with an Amazon Fire Stick, use of our YouTube TV account (in lieu of cable), and even many DVDs to choose from if you want to go Old School! We provide all paper products, shower products and all linens. We even provide niceties such as some bottled water, coffee for the Keurig, snacks, and other small things to make it feel welcoming. We also have a small patio table outside with a wood burning fire pit for your use when the time comes.

Please note that the bathroom door is too narrow for a wheelchair, as is the pathway to the toilet and shower.

You will access the guest suite from the back side of the house. Just go down the driveway on the left side of the house to the back yard. You can park your car in the first carport space (on the right). Additional free parking is available on the street.

Check-out is easy at the Belhaven Arts Hideaway. We just ask that you pick up after yourselves (don't leave any big messes), and start the dishwasher before you leave. We'll take care of garbage removal, doing the laundry, cleaning and sanitizing the suite; that's our job, not yours!

As described above, the guest suite is equipped with two smart TVs. The living room set comes equipped with "Samsung TV Plus" channels, while the bedroom has a 40" set (not a Samsung). Guests can use either TV to log in to their own paid subscription services.

Please note that for longer stays (beyond two weeks), you may need to replenish some of the consumable starter supplies such as coffee, sugar, creamer, TP, soaps, etc.

Fondren "Upper Level" is a unique, fun and gorgeous apartment in the Historic Fondren District. Its walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and all that Fondren has to offer.
This very unique location offers a light and air yet unique style with great ammenities Stainless steel appliances, private washer and dryer, beautiful hardwood floor throughout and the best scenery that Fondren has to offer. It has a front porch with a ceiling fan and a great place to relax in the morning for coffee or afternoon before ending the day.

- "My son and I stayed here while we were visiting colleges in the area. The home is a second floor unit that has its own entryway separate from the bottom unit. There is also a small building in the rear that looks to be an additional unit or storage area. Parking is on the side of the property just across from a wonderful BBQ joint. The home is decorated nicely and the furnishings are comfortable. The space is a bit small but it serves perfectly as a home base for your excursions. Air conditioner works great and there are ceiling fans located in every room needed. The only two concerns were that the refrigerator water dispenser and ice maker weren't working, and that the living room TV was mounted on a wall that didn't allow anyone to really enjoy it without moving the couch to a better vantage. These are easily remedied! We very much enjoyed our stay!"
