Relax with your entire family at our custom remodeled home on Lake Claiborne! Meticulously crafted by a custom home builder with all 4 seasons in mind. 2 master suites & 2 bunk rooms for a total of 18 beds (sleeps 24). Our lakeside home has all the amenities, including: private boat launch and fishing piers, private trail bridge, large fire pit, hot tub, picnic pavilion, ping pong table, kayaks, paddle boards and enjoy your favorite ballgames on the outdoor tv on our 80’ back porch!

On a cul-de-sac at the end of the road, Cypress Edge has a unique look. Cypress wood with `live edge` surrounds our spacious Lakehouse. Two master suites with private bathrooms that each boast a free standing tub as well as a walk in shower. Both master suites have doors to outside, with one having its own private porch. Two large bunk rooms that sleep 10 in each (2 doubles & 6 twins in each bunk room). Room for multiple families to join together for the perfect lake vacation! UPDATE: We have broken ground on our second rental, Cypress Bungalow, just next to Cypress Edge that will sleep 10-12. Rent them both or separate, depending on your family or group size. The Bungalow also has a fully covered RV pad with all hookups. No RV? Then park 3-4 vehicles in the 50’ by 16’ covered area. Can you say we have OPTIONS?! YES! Look for the new photos in the space labeled `Exterior 2` to see the proximity of the Bungalow to Cypress Edge. They are separated by the rock driveway down to the private boat launch (to be shared by both houses) on the water.

Guest have access to the main house and the grounds in front of it leading to the lake, as well as the wooded peninsula that our bridge leads to. Map of the property will be provided at the home for reference. The only areas not accessible are the two storage buildings, boat house, and the neighboring Cypress Bungalow of ours that rents separately from the house.

The Space:
The Ledford house was first built in the early 1900’s. No one seems to know who built it originally. In addition to being a kindergarten upstairs, rumor has it that a man by the name of Elvis Presley once stopped by to get his record played while it was an old radio station down stairs.
The home’s beautiful original wood work you see scattered around the house today would be covered by numerous owners before it was purchased by Bobby Ledford in 1978. Bobby Ledford was a budding barber and proud US Navy veteran. He once offered 100’s of free hair cuts to men and women serving in our military. High and tight was his specialty. He along with his wife Laurice and sister in law Karen Williams made “The Barbershop” a place of love, laughter, and excellent story telling for over 40 years in this community. Bobby and Laurice’s daughters, Tonya and Linzie along with Karen and Kenneth’s children, Kyle and Kadie considered this a second home spending hours after school visiting with clients and doing homework . During the covid era, Bobby passed away and Karen experienced loss of eyesight closing the doors to all of its clients and devastating the community that loved them so deeply. It was during that time of despair that Linzie had a dream like a message from heaven . The Barbershop should not be sold but instead be renewed and continue in the family for generations to come! In the summer of 2022 “The Barbershop“ was purchased by Linzie and Jeremy Hebert. The idea would be to create an Airbnb for other families like their own to celebrate life and be together in a home away from home.
On January 4, 2023 the entire family gathered to say good bye to the old, wrote scripture for the new walls, and prayed over what God had planned next. As the former walls came down in a true labor of love, incredible beauty was found beneath the surface. The brick arches, the easter egg colored shiplap wood, the old landing upstairs, and even the original door with its crystal knob beamed brightly like diamonds in the ruff just waiting to be rediscovered . While “The Barbershop” will always be what we call it, The Ledford House will serve as its new name and the beginning of a new era honoring the days past and rejoicing in the memories to come.

You’ll love my place because of the location, the outdoors space, and the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Meadows Manor was built in 1941. It is three stories and is 4200 square feet. Guy and Faye Barnes are only the second owners of the home. It is now a wedding and event venue as well as a bed and breakfast. No one resides in the home. We are located in downtown Ruston.

Our home is situated near all of the neighborhood comforts, such as the Dog House restaurant, coffee shops, Mexican and Italian restaurants. The Fashion and Chartreuse Pear, upscale ladies shops are just steps away. Louisiana Tech football at Joe Ailet Stadium is only a four blocks away. A little bit south will bring you to a bike route which runs parallel to Railroad and connects La Tech to downtown Ruston, where you can watch amazing sunsets of the downtown skyline. If you enjoy nature walks, head to Lincoln Parish Park less than a 10 minute drive north with attractions that also include hike-n-bike trails and a lake.

This property is within eyeshot of the public boat ramp that allows for easy launching of boats and also has two boat slips with boat slings for secure overnight storage.

Right on the lake with beautiful views…especially seeing the sun set over the lake. House was very clean, supplied us with all our needs, and beds are very comfortable. Yard was impeccably kept up. Peachy Pointe is a 3 bedroom 2 bath house that comfortably sleeps 6! The Master Bedroom has a beautiful king bed, two end tables, Roku smart tv, and an attached bathroom! The master bathroom has a large double sink vanity, two walk in closets, walk in shower, bath tub, and a private toilet area! We have two beautiful queen bedrooms down the hall and both feature closets, and Roku smart TVs! The hall bathroom is centrally located has a nice vanity, toilet, and a tub shower combo!
Our living and kitchen area is a lovely open concept which is perfect for relaxing, visiting, and dining. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and just about anything you’ll need to cook a delicious meal!! The dining area has a large round dining table that comfortably seats 7. Off the kitchen is a Laundry room with a nice washer and dryer for you to use! We have an enclosed garage you can park in which is nice for loading and unloading your car! Out back we have a beautiful fenced in backyard that is perfect for relaxing or playing a round of corn hole! We are located just minutes from Tech Drive and from an interstate exit making it super quick easy to access all of Ruston!
