Far enough away from the city for a little peace and quiet. This BNB is nestled off the main road but not to far away from everything. It's atop the work shop of Levi Sims which allows a great view from the balcony. It sits on several acres of pasture and wood lands. Great for watching deer and the cattle that are in the pastures. We are looking forward to sharing this clean, comfortable space with our guests.

Restaurants are a few minute’s drive from our property too. There is a queen bed and a fold out twin futon available. The bathroom has a standup shower. The cabin is perfect for couples or a small family. Bring your fur baby along!

This is a no-frills, simple log cabin surrounded by pastures interrupted by patches of trees and brush.

BOOKING CONSTITUTES AGREEMENT WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Driveway is rocked but last 1000 feet NEED TO BE WALKED! LEAVE your vehicle on the rocked section. Walk from this point. Violation can result in vehicle getting stuck which will be your responsibility including the repair to any ruts caused.

Violation of any of the rules WILL FORFEIT the ENTIRE DEPOSIT.
No outdoor footwear in the cabin; you are welcome to wear socks or clean indoor footwear.

Please, no pets nor service animals; my son is allergic to hair and danders. And please do not remove anything from the property. Any missing item will be charged against the deposit.

Due to a previous guest who booked for 3 but secretly brought in 25+ more guests who stole, caused massive damage to the cabin and trashed the surroundings, WE DO COUNT the number of guests at check in. We then lock the gate. Just let us know if you need to exit and return so we can unlock.

By the time he got it installed it was after 11:00. The next morning we went to the graduation. They called me and said they couldn't get the part till Monday. My wife and I decided to go hm 1 night early and the managers/owners compensated us well. We understand things happen and the owners went above and beyond to make our stay good. This cottage was a clean and nice stay. We will stay here again and highly recommend this for any couple needing a place to stay. Thank you very much"

Walmart, Academy, Whataburger (0.3mi) and Panda Express (0.4mi) are all right across the street and Sam Houston University (0.8mi) is within walking distance. A local favourite around here Is Potato Shack (1mi). You can have your stuffed potato in more ways than you can Imagine.

Getting Around:
Uber is readily available and there is enough parking for 6+ vehicles around the home! There are also many walking and biking trails nearby.

Walmart, Academy, Whataburger (0.3mi) and Panda Express (0.4mi) are all right across the street and Sam Houston University (0.8mi) is within walking distance. A local favourite around here Is Potato Shack (1mi). You can have your stuffed potato in more ways than you can Imagine.

Getting Around:
Uber is readily available and there is enough parking for 6+ vehicles around the home! There are also many walking and biking trails nearby.

However, the check in process through the rental management company was the worst experience we’ve ever had. A brand new phone was needed to do the facial recognition that was required. We had 3 phones with us and only 1 was “new” enough. When we called and explained that we were having trouble with the app, we were told it had to be completed or we would forfeit the money paid. Once we finally got it to work, and we received the check in information, it said it was too early to check in. At this point is was 7 pm, and check in time was 3 pm. So, we had to call again for it to be activated. The ad says that there are “no service fees,” however, the home was listed at much less than what we ended up paying. (Yes, we knew that when we paid, but that seemed like very false advertising). We questioned that and were told there is no longer a “host fee,” yet our fees showed a host fee plus an additional Vrbo service fee. Once we paid, we were asked if we had a pet, which we noted that we did. The listing had mentioned a possible pet fee, so we were prepared to pay more, but were asked to pay an incredibly high price for 1 dog! To their credit, they lowered the fee to a more reasonable amount when we asked. We would recommend to the home owner to find a new property management company or to deal directly with VRBO."

This tiny home is a total of 120 (170 to include the loft) square feet. There is an enclosed bathroom with a shower and toilet. The kitchen has a sink, mini fridge, shelving, microwave, hot plate, crock pot, mini waffle maker, and Keurig. coffee maker (pods provided) The bedroom is a loft style bedroom which consists of a queen sized bed. The kitchen area has a bistro style table with two chairs. The living room has a loveseat, which makes out into a Sealy twin sized bed and there is a flat screen television (three local channels). There is an outdoor grill with charcoal and starter next to the attached, covered patio. There is a large pond which is stocked regularly with catfish and a fire pit off to the side of the porch. The pond and driveway are the shared spaces with sister house "Little House on the Prairie". The Tiny House has a small fenced in area directly outside of the front door, which is approximately 220 square feet, for your pet/s.

There is a designated parking area for Tiny House. Please do not block the driveway.

Bethy Creek Marina is less than a mile away. They have a boat ramp there if you wish to bring a big boat.

Guests are welcome to use our charcoal grill in the outdoor space (please bring charcoal and lighter fuel in the event we are low). Snuggle up around the campfire at night and watch the firefly’s dance. There is generally wood out there, but we recommend also stopping and getting your own firewood bundle.
Bright stars can be spotted through the trees.

Our little cabin is good in all seasons. I especially love it in the fall and winter.

The Adventure’s Lair puts the guest in a getaway traveler theme setting, furnished with antiques, books and objects from around the world.
This Airbnb accommodation is inside Huntsville Cultural District, across the fountain courtyard from Summer Lane Coffee and one block from the 140 acre city park and creek. The Adventures Lair is in the County Village, which is a mixed-use project two blocks from the historic downtown Huntsville and 7 blocks from Sam Houston State University!

Nature's most beautiful scenery! The peacefulness and solitude lets you escape the stress of everyday life ! The mini waterfalls down stream and the solitude of being in Mother nature makes it a perfect kayaking getaway!

With beautiful waterfalls & breathtaking views it's a perfect place for a kayaking getaway!

Other things to note
🌧️ After it rains heavy the flow and level of the creek changes but also drains back to normal relatively fast! When the creeks flow ruff and it's out of its banks please do not use the water amenities for obvious safety reasons !!
When it's cloudy the Wi-Fi can become spotty.

🎯We are surrounded be other private property owners and some have shooting ranges on their land. You may hear some shooting during your stay as it is a normal activity in the country:

🐾Remember, you are booking a spot in Mother Nature down a long private dirt road in the middle of the woods. When it rains the road can become muddy making it difficult for smaller cars, some of her critters may be present !!

The Surf Shack, named for its iconic surf board that was placed on it to bring a little of the coast to inland Huntsville has been transformed into an Air B&B lodging site. Located across the driveway from the new Sispsey’s
coffeehouse, you can enjoy a morning coffee, WiFi, out door seating and work area just blocks a few blocks from downtown and campus!

The quaint and charming Sam Houston Cottage provides a front porch view of the historic granite monument sculpted in 1911 by Italian artist Pompeo Coppini to mark the final resting place of Sam Houston.
This very special corner house typifies the traditional style and charm of a bygone era yet provides all the modern comforts of home.
Located just a short distance from the Huntsville square this prime location makes for easy travel for any occasion that brings you to town.

The space
The house sits on a large fenced corner lot in the Cultural District of Huntsville. It is 2 blocks from the downtown Huntsville square. The house is a charming 1945 cottage with original hardwood floors throughout most of the house, shiplap walls and ceilings.

There is a large covered front porch where you can sit, relax and enjoy the breeze. There is a large yard that surrounds the house on all sides, it is only partially fenced so beware when letting pets off leash as there is a gap in the fence in the backyard.

The house is a spacious one bedroom one bath. The bedroom has a queen size bed.
There is a small futon couch in the living room that can be folded out into an approximately twin size bed. This would be most suitable for sleeping arrangements for a child.

The bathroom has a standing shower. One thing to note about the shower is that it is on the smaller side. The only closet in the house is located in the bathroom. In the bathroom closet you will find an ironing board and iron, hangers, towels, extra linens, blankets and pillows.

The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware for all of your cooking needs. There is a gas stove, full fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Folger Coffee, sugar and creamer is provided.

LOCATION and PARKING:

There is not a private drive way to the house. There is however ample and safe street parking.

The house is located directly across the street from a middle school, if you are planning to stay during the week this is something to be aware of as there is morning and afternoon activity on the street when school starts and let’s out.

The only area that will not be accessible is the storage shed in the backyard.
