Your stay will allow you to escape from city into the country, but have access to city amenities. Watch large screen streaming TV on the Pavilion or in entertaining area of the Casita. On request, we will make available, Traeger smoker, gas grill, or two burner Induction stove. Inside your room, there is small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. We want your visit with us to be an opportunity to escape the city (like we have) and enjoy the country. We have installed a 14" gel and foam queen size mattress on an adjustable bed so that you can sleep like you are in heaven. The family room sofa offers a pull out gel mattress, but we offer a queen size memory foam tri-fold mattress that greatly improves the comfort level.

There is a rough trail from our property to the bottom of lake. We are told there is great fishing, but since we don't fish I can only relay what we've been told from guides. During your stay, you are likely to see deer grazing on the property as you enter or leave. There are many varieties of birds including a lot of Cardinals as Belinda puts out bird seed almost every day. She keeps seed down in the pavilion so that you can put some out while you sip your morning coffee. You might even see the roadrunners running along the driveway or near the trail in search of their mate or food.

* The Cardinal Cottage can accommodate four guest during a stay, but it is really designed more for one couple. Walking through the front door will put you in the entertaining room where the sofa will pullout to a queen size bed. You'll walk through a doorway that can be closed with barn doors to the bedroom. The bedroom provides the only access to the bathroom.
* The Cardinal Cottage, pavilion, and deck are on my private property. No one other than my wife and I have access to the pavilion and deck – and while we have guest, we try not to intrude on your privacy other than sometimes asking you to share a glass of wine with us during a sunset. The Cardinal Cottage is a building by itself on my property.
* To get an idea of our location and to check distances; we are about 3 miles from the Lone Star Burgers in Moffat Texas.

- "Our stay at Stonehaven Dr was nothing short of amazing! Our hosts honestly thought of every single little thing we would need staying in a home for 11 days. Down to even having a sharpie pen available in one of the drawers when we surprisingly needed one. We traveled to Texas from out of state for a family reunion and while here my daughter had to take her ACT testing at the local high school. Our wonderful host Jessie even had the inspiration to have a printer in the home for guest to utilize, so we were able to print out her testing sheet she needed to enter. There was plenty of space in the home for my family of 6, and 3 dogs. The home smelled amazing upon entry everyday, it was clean and well organized and the yard was beautiful. I have stayed in several home rentals and this by far has been my best experience ever. It was so comfortable, honestly we all felt at home. The host made it to where you had everything you needed to function daily as if you were in your own home. I never once had the thought, “oh man I should have brought this with us”. We have lots of family in Temple and this will definitely be our go to spot for all of our future visits. The the host thank you so much for being patient when my 3 year old niece kept hitting the ring doorbell everyday when we returned home. Only a few minutes away from both major hospitals in Temple. One mile away from Lion Park. 8 minutes from HEB, Walmart and the mall. Cozy neighborhood in a very pretty area of Temple.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the downstairs areas except for our living room at the far end of the kitchen and the other bedroom across the hall from the guest room. The upstairs is off limits and is the master bedroom. Guests have full access to backyard, Porch and trampoline. Plenty of outside lighting for when it gets dark. Cereal and milk provided for breakfast.

Welcome to our cozy and inviting Airbnb retreat! We strive to provide our guests with a memorable stay, and we want you to feel right at home.

Please look for room 5 downstairs when you check in.

You will have your own large private bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed, shared 1.5 bathrooms and a large WIC closet for yourself. The bedroom has its own private access code for your privacy.

The room is tastefully decorated and equipped with new linens, fresh towels, and ample storage space for your belongings. There is a smart TV in the room and cable program will be updated soon.

Bathrooms: You'll have access to a well-maintained and sparkling clean bathroom. There is a shared bathroom upstairs and an additional half bathroom downstairs.

Living and Dining Areas: Our common areas are designed for relaxation and socializing. The living room is furnished with a plush sofa and a large 58" flat-screen 4K Smart TV with cable, perfect for cozy movie nights. Adjacent to the living area is a spacious dining area where you can enjoy meals or engage in lively conversations.

Kitchen: Our fully equipped kitchen is a haven for culinary enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned chef or just want to prepare a simple meal, you'll find all the necessary appliances, cookware, and utensils at your disposal. We provide limited dishwasher soap for you to use. You can use the dishwasher machine with your own detergent.

For short term stay, you will have 1 bath towels, 1 face towel and 1 hand towel.
For long term stay, we will ensure you'll have enough towels to use during your stay.

Please help us keep the house clean by leaving your shoes/sandals on the shoes racks.

Please note that while you'll have exclusive access to the areas mentioned above, some spaces may be off-limits, such as garage, storage areas or locked closets designated for our personal belongings.

For safety and security, we have cameras outside of the house.

You will have exclusive access to the booked bedroom with a queen size bed and shared 1.5 bathroom spaces during your stay. This also includes the living room, kitchen, dining area, and all other common areas.

If you stay for a week or long term, you will have an access code to use the laundry room once a week with your own detergent and fabric softener. Please let us know when you want to use the laundry room, we will provide you an access code.

If you're arriving by car, rest assured that we have a large private driveway and available street parking, so you won't have to worry about finding a place to park your vehicle


Trash: Please throw your trash from your room/ kitchen in the garbage (black can) outside the house.
