Walk the Antelope Creek Road that connected Fort Phantom Hill Road to Red Bluff Ferry on the Colorado River.

We will provide freshly laundered bed spreads. The cabin will be ventilated before guest arrival. We provide plates, flatware, pots and pans and serving bowls. There are extra sheets in the trunk if you need them. Please ask if we missed something you need.

Hot plate, Microwave and Convection Oven for cooking. Gas grill and charcoal grills on the patio with campfire ring. Electric skillet, two burner hot plate, large serving bowls, bbq essentials, blender, coffee grinder, and more. Please ask if you need anything.

There is no wifi or television.

Twenty minutes to Colorado Bend State Park. You must secure an online reservation for a Day Pass with the Texas State Parks reservation system. It’s only $10 and well worth it.

We are on the wildflower trail which includes Willow City and Enchanted Rock.

Important:

We have an above ground swimming pool with no lifeguard. It is open from May 1st to Sept 1st.

Please read our Release of Liability before booking. When the payment is processed, the lessee has agreed to the terms of the Release.

Dogs are welcome with notification to owner. Please keep dogs leashed due to goats and free roaming chickens. No firearms, night hiking, or ATVs allowed.

This cabin is small, 475 sq ft. We do have an 80' children's playhouse next to the cabin.

Welcome to our Log Cabin with a private pool and riverfront! We purchased this home in 2024 after searching for a quick getaway for our family. This 2500 square foot cabin has 4 bedrooms with 2 full baths and 2 powder rooms in the main house. This unique log cabin has an interesting layout with the master bedroom downstairs that you can enter through either the door next to the foyer or through the family room with a Queen size bed, private bathroom and walk in closet. Main floor has a large living room, dining room with seating for up to 8, family room with wood burning fireplace, Samsung Smart TV, and Vintage Mario Arcade game. Two powder rooms are downstairs under the staircase and in the utility room. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, blender, waffle maker, two toasters, two coffee makers, coffee grinder, double ovens, microwave, fridge and a crockpot all ready for you to just bring food and your favorite beverages. Utility room has a washer, dryer and sink for soaking clothes. Upstairs you will find a full bathroom at the top of the stairs with a large soaking tub. To the left of the stairs bedroom 2 has one queen size bed, window seat and walk-in closet. To the right of the stairs is bedroom 3 and has one full size bed and a twin trundle bed. Keep walking through bedroom 3 to reach the very large bedroom 4 bunk room. This room is great for sleeping lots of people. It has 2 full over full bunk beds and a separate twin bed. The spacious covered back porch has new oversized patio furniture, ceiling fans and views of the pool, large Pecan trees and Colorado River. New Ping pong table has been set up on the back porch.

Next to the main house is a casita that has a full bathroom and plenty of space for exercising. Brand new three person sauna has been installed.

Our cabin 16 miles to San Saba, 9 miles to Colorado Bend State Park, 8.2 miles to Fiesta Winery, and 3 miles to always fun Bend General Store where you can see live music and eat from their wide assortment menu.

You will be staying in a ranch house in the Texas Hill country. The home is large and is constructed of native stone. Inside is almost entirely tiled, with only the master being carpeted.
You'll see cattle and pecans, both being huge parts of the local agri-economy. During spring-time, the wildflower of Central Texas put on a riotous show!

We have three bedrooms, all of which are named after pastures on the ranch.
The spacious Master Suite "The Gage" boasts a king-size bed, with enormous picture windows looking out on the peaceful land and the sparkling lake. There is a seating area in front of the window where you can watch the sunrise, and is a peaceful place to read a book or just relax and bird-watch. The en-suite master bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, two vanities, and double walk-in closets. (Ask about our special sweetheart deal for two guests using the master suite, kitchen/ living areas only).

Both of the other bedrooms feature large windows as well. "The Kelly" and "The Ellis" both have comfortable queen size beds. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. One bedroom has an attached bathroom with a full shower. The middle bedroom can access their own bathroom with tub directly across the hall, which is handicap-accessible.

There are also a couple of comfortable cots if they are needed, to enable separate sleeping arrangements.

The home features a living room, a dining room and bar area. Two grills (gas and charcoal) are available for your cookout, as well as a dining table on the porch that seats 6.

Internet is available to connect to the world and to stream movies and television shows on the new television in the living room.

Stargazers will delight in the darkness level (dark blue to grey on the darkness map) and the ability to see the Milky Way when it is available to be seen (no guarantees on clouds, though!).

There is a full kitchen, stocked with many of the spices, etc. that you may need to cook your own meals.

When staying at Three Sisters, all adults will get a complimentary wine tasting at Old Man Scary Cellars winery in town, and a special rate of $35 per hour at God's Hands. You must have the business card you receive at the residence to qualify.

Recent guest comment: This ranch house did not disappoint. When I booked it I thought we were just getting someone's house and was a little worried, San Saba isn't huge and I was not familiar with the area that this house is located. I was oh-so wrong! This house is located on a winding road and the neighbors are so far off you can't even see them, which is what we wanted. The scenery is picturesque. I literally saw deer outside of the kitchen window just grazing a stones throw away. The house itself is clean, laid out very nicely, and has a charm about it that draws you in.

The wildebeest guesthouse is located on 5 J Ranch just three and a half miles from San Saba, Texas. Great dining, winery, shopping and sight seeing nearby. Come see the local attractions and enjoy the Texas Hill Country at its best. The guesthouse is positioned on a beautiful private setting on The 5 J Ranch. This ranch boasts incredible scenery that will provide a memorable experience. The game animals will certainly keep you entertained.

The kitchen had everything we needed, including complimentary pecan roasted coffee and espresso machine. The master has a beautiful high tech whirlpool tub. Everyone wanted to enjoy it, but we could never figure out how to get enough hot water to fill it (it holds a lot more water than a standard tub). Since we couldn't use the tub, we did all have to share a single shower. Other than that, we absolutely loved the house and property."

The dishes were under the sink and there were dead roaches. We tried to find another place to stay even without a refund. Shower had very poor pressure and temp control. Beds were comfortable, but small a/c units were not enough. We had to figure out how to keep the fan on without the lights on. Ended up taking the fan's light bulb out at night."

Home has large back deck to relax and take the River in. Closest gas station is about 20 miles away along with the closest grocery stores. Llano and San Saba have some good meat markets to stop in at and Lowe's for grocery. Lampasas has the closest HEB.

"206” is an historic 1946 Triplex bungalow style apartment of approx. 800 sq ft. Located one block off main, the quiet side street is within walking distance of all downtown shops, wineries and some restaurants. Great neighborhood. If you’re coming with a group, check out “The Ragsdale Apartment 204” and reserve the entire space for your group while still maintaining privacy.

The space
We lovingly call this space "The 19th Hole". In Golf, this term reflects a place to relax after a long hard day of golf. It is themed on vintage golf to pay tribute to our fabulous San Saba River Golf Course. It is a cozy place with living area with smart TV, full kitchen well stocked for preparing your own meals, one bath and bedroom with an old school queen size bed.

Guest access
Private key code entrance, 206 has a coffee spot out the kitchen door with a bistro set to sit and enjoy some gourmet coffee. You also have access to the shared yard and patio located in the fenced in area adjoining apartment 204.

Experience our beautiful city parks. Walk or drive down to The Mill Pond & San Saba River parks are beautiful to take in. Across Hwy 190 is the Reisen Park for volleyball, hiking and outdoor fun. Make your way out to the historic Regency Swinging Bridge, the last full functioning suspension bridge in the state (currently closed for repairs). Colorado Bend State Park is a short drive to the east. At the end of a long day exploring, chill out at our local restaurants or Texas winery located across the street from the apartment

The Sunflower Suite is one of 6 cabins in a 1940's Motor Lodge. Each cabin is inspired by a Texas Wildflower. Over the years Wildflower Lodge has changed names and decor but the history has stayed the same. Several names such as Conrad Hilton, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash have been rumored to stay at this humble abode in the early years. San Saba is known for its hunting and fishing but there are so many other things to do in the area and is a springboard for parks, shopping.

The space
This 400 sq ft space offers a daybed, dining table, two queen beds, bathtub, private entrance, mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, linens, towels, toiletries, WIFI, smart TV, and access to our outdoor living space. The Sunflower Suite is newly remodeled sunny and bright. There is a day bed to nap and read or you may choose to relax in a comfy bubble bath. The room sleeps two perfectly, 4 comfortably. Artisnal toiletries are available to use or take home as a gift.

Guest access
We are conveniently located on the main street of San Saba, TX just minutes away from downtown. Shops, winery, and restaurants are a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk away. There is parking available in front of your cabin. We ask that you park at an angel to allow for more guests to fit in our parking lot.

Other things to note
Please DO NOT park all the way to the door of your cabin. You MUST leave room for emergency vehicles. We ask that you leave at least 6 feet between your vehicle and the steps.

Access is from the alley behind the building. There are two parking spaces available to the LEFT of the stairway.

Other things to note
It is important to note that the apartment is located on the second level and there are some pretty steep stairs to climb. For this reason, this may not be the right place to rent for the elderly, young children or those with pre-existing health conditions. Please take caution and use the hand railing. The stairs will be effected by the elements as they are metal. (Ie. Slippery when wet, hot when the weather is hot, etc). Please hold hands of any small children. Children should NEVER be left unattended on balconies or near stairways under any circumstance.

This 2 bedroom unit is located 1 block from downtown, walking distance to Harry's, Wedding Oak Winery, Oliver Pecan, and Bar D Brewhouse. This room is spacious and has great accommodations for your coffee in the morning and heating up your breakfast in the microwave. We also have a covered awning on the front with chairs and a spot you can put a small BBQ pit and cook outside if you like. You will find this room very clean, with much parking and great accommodations. We do not allow pets.

The space
This room faces Harwood St., it is adjacent to our other room, 111 N. Harwood St. As you enter the room, this will be the first bedroom with a Queen bed, TV, Loveseat and dresser. Into the second room will be a Queen bed, TV, table, microwave, mini fridge, sink, mirror, and the bathroom with shower, sink and commode. This bathroom is shared by both rooms.

In this room, you are able to park on the North side of the building, or in front, and you are welcome to use the front porch along with anything in the room.

The space
Located on FM 580, this cabin is 600 sq feet with one bedroom, a bathroom, and an open kitchen, dining, living area. The private deck is elevated over a small cliff, providing an unobstructed view of the river. While the sofa sleeper allows 4 guests to visit comfortably, you are also welcome to use some of our property for additional tent camping — but please let us know of your plans!

In addition to all the state park has to offer (make sure to make reservations!), you can explore the nearby towns of San Saba, Llano, and Lampasas — or visit one of the local wineries. The Bend General Store (.4 miles away) always has good food and good music on the weekends.

Feel free to wander the property down to the river and all along the riverbed in both directions, but be mindful of thorny things! We have deer, wild hogs, raccoons, armadillos, occasional turkeys, bald eagles, and caracaras, and a plethora of other birds — all unpredictable visitors!

As one would expect in the hill country, the path to the river is rocky and a bit steep in spots, so you’ll want to pay attention!

The Bogard is a peaceful spot nestled in the beautiful oak and elm trees and affectionately named for one of our own San Saba women, Hazel “Tottsie” Bogard. Our goal is to provide a place you can call home and love enough to revisit! Enjoy the freshly updated home with your family, friends or co-workers while you visit The Pecan Capital or the surrounding countrysides. We’ve made our pricing easier with cleaning fees included and larger discounts for extended stays.

The space
The Bogard will accommodate up to 6 guests. The master bedroom with a luxurious King sized bed and in the guest bedroom, two Twin XL for the tall ones. Two sturdy roll away twins can be found stored in the large walk in closets with the same bedding to match. You will find plenty of floor space to accommodate a slumber party.
The Master has a shower/tub combo and the guest, a stand up shower. In one or the other you will find a blow dryer and little extras if you happen to forget something important. Plenty of fresh clean towels will be close at hand and extra linens are always accessible if you have a need for more. In total honesty, neither bath is wheelchair or handicap friendly.
The kitchen provides an excellent space for big or small meals. You will find everything from a nice induction cooktop to a 1,000 watt microwave. The pots and pans are provided and the drawers and cabinets are full of useful kitchen gadgets and utensils.
The kitchen island or dining table are excellent spots for visiting or playing board games that you can find in the TV console. Entertainment is provided thru a Roku and WiFi is “on the house”. You are welcome to use what is there or use your own log-in to your favorite apps.
This home is a smoke/vape free place and although we have pets of our own, this home is not set up to be pet friendly. Please leave your beloved floofs comfortably at your home or try to find boarding accommodations in plenty of time as they will be limited in our small town.
There are programmed outdoor landscaping lights to help the dark areas stay lit if you are coming in after dark. You will also be able to control these if they are on later than your liking. Inside the home you will find nightlights that can be turned on and blackout curtains for your privacy. We ourselves have stayed at b-n-b’s and have tried to think of all the things that made our own stays special.

The Wildebeest Guesthouse is positioned on a beautiful secluded setting on The 5 J Ranch. The ranch is home to many native and exotic game species that guests are likely to spot during their stay. Wide open spaces and a huge interior!
This native San Saba rock home looks out on a small private pond stocked with bass. From the expansive front porch, you can watch wildlife, including deer, duck and other birds and enjoy a beautiful Texas sunrise or sunset. This is truly a bird watcher's paradise! Star-gazers will love the dark skies that allow clear views of the galaxy and constellations.

The space
You will be staying in a ranch house in the Texas Hill country. You'll see cattle and pecans, both being huge parts of the local economy.

Our rooms are named after pastures on the ranch. The Gage is huge with enormous picture windows looking out on the lake and the land. There is a king-size bed and the seating area in front of the window is a peaceful place to read a book or just relax and bird-watch. The purple martins move into their lodging in the front yard during April. The en-suite master bathroom includes a two-person walk-in shower, two vanities, granite countertops, and double walk-in closets.

Both of the other bedrooms feature large windows as well. The Kelly and The Ellis both have comfortable queen size beds with luxurious white bedding and fluffy pillows. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. One bedroom has an attached bathroom with a full shower. The middle bedroom guests can access their own bathroom with tub directly across the hall, which is handicap-accessible.

There are also a couple of comfortable cots if they are needed, to enable separate sleeping arrangements.

The home features a full kitchen, a dining room and bar area. The kitchen is stocked with many of the spices, and basics that you may need to cook your own meals. Two grills (gas and charcoal) are available for your cookout, as well as a dining table on the porch that seats 6.

Internet is available to connect to the world and to stream movies and television shows. A television is in the living room, along with a cozy fireplace. We do not provide cable or satellite tv.

Stargazers will delight in the darkness level (dark blue to grey on the darkness map) and the ability to see the Milky Way (no guarantees on clouds, though!).

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use the entire house, including the garage. However, the workshop/barn is off limits due to possible safety issues. Since this is a working ranch, it is not recommended that you scale fences, go through gates (and if you do, close it back!). The code of the Old West lives on in the Central Texas!

Other things to note
Fully stocked tank/pond/small lake has bass. Don't forget to bring your tackle! At this point, we request catch and release.

The space
The house has been carefully updated, but features many original aspects or the 1893 farmhouse. There are two amazing porches, which provide great views of the yard and oak trees that surround the house. One porch is screened with rocking chairs - perfect for morning coffee - and the other fully air conditioned with views of the working windmill and yard.

The 85" TV in the main living room makes it ideal for game watching weekends! There is also a vintage, working record player in the main living room for your enjoyment.

There is an exterior gate to the property that we ask stay closed unless you are entering or leaving. The front door is opened by keypad. Park anywhere in the front or to the left side of the house.

Situated on a large lot with mature trees, the home is two blocks from downtown San Saba and boasts over 2,700 square feet, three bedrooms, two updated bathrooms, a large kitchen, covered porches, and dedicated work space with high speed internet. There is a large circle drive or street space available for those who need trailer/equipment parking.

The home was built in 1877 for John Guion, who served as San Saba county judge and was president of the Texas A&M board of directors from 1914-1918.

The space
The home has been updated keeping as many original features as possible. Mostly original wood floors run throughout, and there are original beveled glass doors and transom windows, built-ins, and original fireplaces, though they are currently non-working. Three spacious bedrooms will sleep up to 8 people. A master bedroom with a king size bed boasts an en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom (queen bed) and third bedroom (double, twin, and twin trundle) share a large hall bathroom. The second bedroom closet contains a pack ‘n’ play and a bed rail for our littlest visitors. A covered front porch extends across most of the house, and a partially covered back porch will seat 6-8 people for outdoor dining. There is a dedicated work space with fiber-optic internet and a monitor set up in the bonus room. Also located in the desk cabinets in the bonus room are a small assortment of toys, books and art supplies. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking full meals and serving a crowd.
