Built in 2018 as a “guest house/dream come true” next to our main residence. We are located at 335 College Hill Drive one block from Main Street. Short walks to restaurants, a popular creekside microbrewery and convenient to shops and local eateries. Our Bungalow Oaks has an attached carport, and the main room has a king-size bed next to a massive antique armoire. A separate bathroom with a walk-in shower and antique vanity has all the privacy of home. The coffee bar has a small refrigerator, an ice maker, a pod-type coffee maker and a microwave. For morning and evening relaxation there are two oversized rockers on the back porch for bird watching and deer viewing along the dry creek below.

The Cabin sits on the North bank of the Salado Creek in the heart of Salado. Located next to Pace Park, you will share deck space with guests staying at The Lodge, the sister to The Cabin. While you will share a multi-level deck space, there is plenty of room for all. You have your own firepit, and can share the creek frontage with fellow guests. This one room, one bathroom space has a kitchenette style space with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes and a fully tiled step in shower.
The space
The Salado Sawmill provided some amazing accents for this space including a waterfall, live edge bathroom vanity, live edge kitchenette counter and live edge shelving. A unique burl piece finds a home on the wall as well. The back door to this one room space opens out onto the deck, which has multi-levels and spaces giving plenty of options for seating and access to the creek and firepit area. Deck and creek frontage are shared spaces, but the Cabin and the Lodge both have their own firepits. You can rent just The Cabin or The Lodge, or if your group is large, rent both spaces. Guest access
You will have two parking spaces out front. Salado has beautiful new sidewalks with lights, so one can walk to most of the local venues. Salado is also golf cart friendly so one can rent a cart from a local vendor. Call early if you want to reserve a cart.
Other things to note
The Cabin and The Lodge are side by side and share deck spaces and the creek side access. The Cabin has its own fire pit and firewood stack, located just off the deck on the left if facing Salado Creek. The deck is multi-level with plenty of room for all guests. The property stretches to the creek edge and there is lots of room under the creek side trees where the big rocks are.
Feel free to take folding chairs to the creek side, just be sure to bring back up each day.

This is an off-grid tiny cabin on 8 acres. It would be a good place to get away from all the distractions of life and write that novel that's been percolating in you head for so long, or you could just have another cup of coffee and watch the roadrunners.

The space
This is a tiny house on wheels located about four miles from downtown Salado. It is situated near another tiny house where my wife and I live. It has a kitchen equipped with a mini frige, induction range, and an assortment of coffee brewing paraphernalia. The bathroom consists of a compost toilet and shower stall. The sleeping areas include a loft accessed via ladder with full sized mattress on tatami mats and a sleeper sofa downstairs. There is space for parking near the house.

You will have full access to the guest house itself, the driveway and parking area in front, and a walking trail looping around the eight acre property.

Other things to note
Please note that this property does not have a flush toilet. We tiny house dwellers use composting toilets, which save lots of fresh water and make rich fertilizer for our plants.

The main sleeping area is an elevated loft accessed by a ladder. If you would prfer to stay more grounded, there is a sleeper sofa on the first floor.

The Cabin sits on the North bank of the Salado Creek, next to Pace Park. You will share deck space with guests staying at The Lodge, there is plenty of room for all. You have your own firepit, and can share the creek frontage with fellow guests. This one room, one bathroom space has a kitchenette style space with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes and a fully tiled step in shower.
We do allow pets, with a fee of $75 per reservation. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed.

The space
The Salado Sawmill provided some amazing accents for this space including a waterfall, live edge bathroom vanity, live edge kitchenette counter and live edge shelving. A unique burl piece finds a home on the wall as well. The back door to this one room space opens out onto the deck, which has multi-levels and spaces giving plenty of options for seating and access to the creek and firepit area. Deck and creek frontage are shared spaces, but the Cabin and the Lodge both have their own firepits. You can rent just The Cabin or The Lodge, or if your group is large, rent both spaces. The Lodge information is under 556a-creeksidelodgesalado, also listed in AirBNB.

You will have two parking spaces out front. Salado has beautiful new sidewalks with lights, so one can walk to most of the local venues. Salado is also golf cart friendly so one can rent a cart from a local vendor. Call early if you want to reserve a cart.

Other things to note
The Cabin and The Lodge are side by side and share deck spaces and the creek side access. The Cabin has its own fire pit and firewood stack, located just off the deck on the left if facing Salado Creek. The deck is multi-level with plenty of room for all guests. The property stretches to the creek edge and there is lots of room under the creek side trees where the big rocks are.
Feel free to take folding chairs to the creek side, just be sure to bring back up each day.

🌠A ultra necessary note is that we do share a driveway with our neighbor. We only have access to 1/2 of that driveway.
No exceptions and no problem if we all support this reality.
Therefore the fewer cars the better.
But if you do have ( the maximum-four cars) coming in. You must stack them back to back to remain on our side of the driveway to avoid towing.

The Garrison Log Cabin was built by the grandfather of the first lady governor of the State of Texas, Miriam (Ma) Ferguson. It was authentically restored from the mid 1800's. The main bedroom contains a queen bed, wood burning fireplace, TV/DVD, and coffee pot. There is a queen bed in the loft.

An amazing mix of old and new are found in this unique space. We have kept the original hard wood floors and bead board walls where possible and accented those with custom live edge beams, counter tops and shelving. The view of Salado Creek from the living room and decks is amazing, almost as cool as the spring directly across from this home.

You will have the entire Lodge building and use of the golf cart during your stay. The deck and creek side areas are shared with guests staying in The Cabin. There are two fire pits so both The Lodge and The Cabin guests can have their own pit to enjoy.
