Your lakefront campsite comes complete with surrounding privacy fencing and a locking gate. We invite you to Shabbat Retreat (immerse in sweet rest) while camping and sleeping under the stars. Shabbat literally means, he rested. And, couldn't we all use a little rest from time to time: a day of peace, meditation and time set aside to just relax - a time of refreshing and reflection to recharge and experience the beauty of nature...creation? Our little campsite offers a dash of Country Charm for your local Glampcation. Fish, Kayak,
play board games, BBQ with family and friends or whatever your heart desires while you enjoy your very own exclusive spot with a view on a private lake - where you will call our cool little canvas Tent of Meeting, home. You will have a cozy bed with a real mattress and everything you need to enjoy a roaring campfire along with many other optional amenities.

Shabbat Retreat, a secluded property and private camp center, also offers an inspiring experiential Tour of one of the best Tabernacle Collections in the World ~ museum-quality, full-size reproductions of The Tabernacle of Moses furnishings and other biblical artifacts! We are also known as The Tabernacle In The Wilderness. And, our Signature Campsite on a Private Lake with our little Tent of Meeting is just the place...for our guests to...escape the hustle and bustle of the city...for a quick getaway...to simply refresh, relax and Experience The Gift Of Time!

Important Notice:
Water is provided. Extra water is available onsite near the main retreat center for free refills.
Cellular/Internet/Electricity: We DO NOT provide WiFi or Electricity.
Gas or Solar Power Generators are campsite extra options available for your use.
Also, Electricity is nearby, please inquire if needed.
Our beautiful Tent is not air conditioned. We have air conditioned Cabins available upon request.

If you're looking to unplug for a little while, this is your perfect opportunity at our campsite with a stunning lakefront view and private lake access.

We clean and sanitize our campsite thoroughly before our guests' arrival.

CAPACITY is for 2 inside the main tent, plus an additional 2 - 4 extra persons can be accommodated in a "set it up yourself" pop-up tent provided for extra guests, but you will have to bring your own air mattresses/sleeping pads for this tent. We have available on offer queen air mattresses as an extra option for our guests who prefer to have this provided for them.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Carefully read through the email you will receive with details and information before your stay. Please follow our provided driving directions. Do not rely on Google maps.

This is a Walk-in site.

- Remember you are Camping Outdoors -

- You're in NATURAL surroundings.

- Watch out for snakes. Snakeproof boots are highly recommended.

- The fishing is awesome! Bass, Perch and Catfish are in the private lake and biting!

- There is no life guard on the private lake! You pretty much will have the entire lake all to yourself.

- Feel free to bring your own kayak, canoe, or an inflatable raft/kayak/canoe. Please no motorized water toys. Again, this is a Walk-In Site but you can drop off your gear and even carry a canoe or kayak through the gated entry to the campsite.

- Remember to please leave no trace behind. Cleanup the campsite before leaving.

- Dogs allowed - Please do not allow your dog on the provided bedding/mattress. Pickup after your dog. If it poops, remember to scoop. Although we adore dogs we ask that you leash them if walking on our main retreat site.

- Visit the scuba diving and archery facilities nearby

- Visit the beautiful Huntsville State Park, Sam Houston State Park, Lake Conroe, Trinity River, and Lake Livingston ~ as they are all nearby and within driving distance

- Check out some of the areas antique shops, local restaurants, shopping malls, flea markets, farmers markets and museums. Don't forget about the Walker County Fair and Rodeo!

- Visit some local wineries: Huntsville has wineries! You will want to check them out.

- Birdwatching is fun, too!

All sites face the lake and sit about 50 feet from the waterfront. Site D is about 100 feet from the Chinquapin trailhead, which circles around the entire Huntsville State Park. There is a playground area for kids about 1 mile from campsites that campers will pass on the right-hand side upon entering the park. The park usually features swimming, fishing, hiking, an amphitheater, a nature center, and boat rentals.

Lil o aces sits down a long private dirt road nestled amongst the trees with breathtaking views of mother . The Bunkhouse sleeps Six , overlooking the Campground that is an acre along Harmon creek . Harmon creek is spring feed starting in Sam Houston National forest and flows into Trinity river . Along the creek there are beautiful waterfalls to enjoy during a kayaking trip . There are 3 kayaks for guests to use . Further past Lil o aces along the private dirt road there is a private Lake/pond for a peaceful hike in the woods or an Atv ride .. There is a 6ft privacy fence in the back/front yard , we are pet friendly!

The photos of the Blue Lagoon on my site is a aqua swimming hole 3 miles from the cabin. You must make reservations with them in advance to go swimming there. Its an absolute must see. Its 22 a person when you make reservations. They book up fast. Please contact them for additional information.

Close by lots to do such as Hiking Trails, ATV trails, Motorcross trails, Kayaking, horseback riding also. Contact me for additional information.

We also do RV wine tours to the local wineries. It's an all day event. Starts at 1030am and ends around 7 depending on time stops. It goes to 4 local wineries, lunch stop and shopping as well.

Guest have access to all 3 lakes. The Pavilion and fishing dock, the swimming dock, kayak, floats and some life jackets and walking trails.

We have a petting zoo with a camel, alpaca, mini donkeys, mini goats, cows, horses.

Other things to note
The photos of the Blue Lagoon on my site is a aqua swimming hole 3 miles from my property. You must make reservations with them in advance to go swimming there. Its an absolute must see. Price is 22 a person when you make reservations. Please check with them for additional information.

We also do RV wine tours to the local wineries. It's an all day event. Starts at 1030am and ends around 7 depending on time stops. It goes to 4 local wineries, lunch stop and shopping as well.
