The Space:
The chickadee is a bird almost universally considered “cute” thanks to its oversized round head, tiny body, and curiosity about everything, including humans. The chickadee’s black cap and bib; white cheeks; gray back, wings, and tail; and whitish underside with buffy sides are distinctive. It has a habit of investigating people and everything else in its home territory. The Black-capped Chickadee hides seeds and other food items to eat later. Each item is placed in a different spot and the chickadee can remember thousands of hiding places. Every autumn Black-capped Chickadees allow brain neurons containing old information to die, replacing them with new neurons so they can adapt to changes in their social flocks and environment even with their tiny brains.

The wren bird typically prefers to nest in a cavity like a tree or between rocks low in a wall. We know of a local lady who hung denim jeans on a clothesline to dry, only to discover hours later that a wren had started a nest in one of the front pockets!

An interesting tidbit about cedar waxwing birds is that, at times, they line up in a row along a branch and pass berries from beak to beak! You can enjoy the outdoors at the treehouse without having to sit on an oak branch. The spacious deck provides comfortable seating around a table—across which you can pass beverages from hand to hand.

In flight, meadowlark birds show patches of white in their tails and keep their short, stiff wings tipped downward as they flap or glide. They nest in open grasslands (meadows), weaving the blades together to make a cover over the nest.

- "The environment of the Resort was awesome! I definitely enjoyed my stay everything was clean and plenty of amenities. Very peaceful place to relax, and listen to the birds. We came in for a 1 night stay because I was visiting my sister in Hobby Unit Prison which is 40 min away. 2 hours before we checked in the property manager called me personally to let me know that the unit I originally wanted (The Starling) was having problems with electricity and that the lights were not working. He gave me the choice of two of treehouses and I chose the CedarWaxling. All and all I am happy with our stay despite moving cabins. It has everything you need , there is no oven but I did see two electrical hot plates under the sink so if you need something hot you can make a small breakfast or lunch. Has microwave, plates, keirig with coffee pods, plates, glasses and mugs. They thought of everything.!!! Be careful going the stairs and hold the rail because my silly 30 year old behind fell down about 5 steps in slow motion but thank god I have good knees :) Book it y’all!!! You won’t regret it! The hummingbird bird does not derive its name from a vocal sound. Rather, the bird is so called because of the throbbing hum produced by its rapidly beating wings. When hummingbirds find a good nesting site, they frequently reuse it, building a new nest right on top of an older one.

- "Clean, Cozy and Comfortable, perfect accommodations for a couples get away. Wished the weather would have been better so we could have enjoyed the covered porch more and the outdoor spaces but we did enjoy our coffee sitting out on the porch listening to the birds and bundled up real good to take a stroll around the resort. It has to be one of the nicest RV resort I have ever seen before. Plenty of bath houses and laundry facilities. The Hummingbird Treehouse was the perfect spot for a couple of old folks to have a romantic weekend together. The Treehouse has everything you could need from a hot plate, microwave and a mini fridge with a nice size freezer compartment which is rare in a mini fridge. Big thick soft bath towels and a huge walk in shower and a remote control ceiling fan over the bed, it took us a minute to figure out there is a switch by the headboard you need to flip to get the remote to work for the ceiling fan. You can tell the owners are still adding more RV pad sites and a nice Community building or an event venue with a nice covered porch by the water, real curious to see what that building will be."

You may think that blue is an odd color for a bird. But as any photographer will attest, shadows are actually shades of blue, not black. The Blue Jay bird is a camouflage artist, disappearing into the shadows when necessary. The male bird is a picture of domestic tranquillity as he kindly offers his mate a kernel of corn, while she sits patiently on the nest they built together.

Speaking of domestic tranquillity, the Blue Jay treehouse is an ideal getaway for two. Relax on the king-size bed or take advantage of the comfortable seating area for card games, board games, or just savoring your favorite beverage. Outside, you can enjoy a spacious covered deck with a table and ample seating.

Welcome to the Warbler Treehouse. This bright and cherry treehouse is nestled among the Oak trees in this peaceful retreat. Our brand new resort offers some unique accommodations for Waco visitors. We look forward to hosting you!

The Space:
Warbler Treehouse

The warbler bird is easy to spot as flocks migrate across Texas because of distinct patches of yellow, particularly the one just above the point where the tail feathers begin. They feast on various insects and often delight a viewer with sudden upward swoops to dine on an insect swarm.

The Warbler treehouse is also easy to spot because special pass-through openings allow an oak tree to stretch skyward through the deck and deck covering. The treehouse accommodates two guests and provides a king-size bed and a comfy seating area adjacent to the bed.

The chefs among you will appreciate the kitchen area supplied with utensils, cookware, hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig beverage maker. A cozy dining nook provides excellent window views.

Need Internet access? Individual Wi-Fi is provided in the treehouse. Have a Roku subscription? Stream your favorite content on the TV. A complete list of amenities is below.

As a bird, the Mockingbird has been called “the king of the song” since it can imitate more than 30 birdsongs in rapid succession. It is somewhat unclear why they possess this ability, but perhaps it is simply an overwhelming urge to sing.

If you feel an overwhelming urge to “get away from it all” for a rest, the Mockingbird treehouse is for you. It has two bedrooms to accommodate four guests. The master is downstairs with a king-size bed. The loft provides an extra sleeping area with a full-size bed, where you could snuggle up with a good book or just nap.

A word on parking, camping, and RV sites for Eclipse@The Will:
All sites are on well maintained and landscaped grounds, and all weather gravel parking lots. Fee includes Eclipse Day Pass to be on the grounds, a parking space for one vehicle, any events planned at The Will, access to food trucks, and open air concert area. Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets. Bring your bathing suit! Event will occur rain or shine. No refunds for weather, site conditions or no-shows. There are no electrical, water or waste dumping amenities, and no access to any such amenities on the property. Portable toilets will be available.

We are located 8 minutes from Baylor’s campus on 4 acres of wide open pasture. Bring your tent and enjoy the outdoors including shade trees, views of the pond, picnic tables and community fire rings. This spot is far enough away from the festivities downtown but close enough to check out the fun!

Outdoor shower, port-a-potties, a cellphone charging station and potable water on site. There are community firepits and lots of firewood piles around camp as well.

We are conveniently located 5 minutes from Waco, but away from the traffic expected in downtown. Check out after the eclipse, which will last 4 minutes and 2 seconds in this location.

C5 campsite is 30ft x 40ft and comes with a 3-person tent plus space for more, room for multiple vehicles, and is near an open viewing field.

The camper is parked at our home on 5 acres in Robinson. Enjoy views of free range chickens, a sheep and cows in the pasture. The camper is available for a stationary rental or delivery to a local camp site. There is a propane grill and kitchen with cookware and dishes. All bedding is provided. The master room has a new 8" Zinus memory foam short (RV) queen bed. The back room has three bunks and a two foam pads that make a queen. Comfortably sleeps 4 to 5 adults or 2 adults and 4 children.

The space
There is a tv with Roku, Netflix, and Prime Video. There is also an adaptor for screen sharing with your i-phone or android phone. A DVD player is available on request. Wi-Fi is available and cellular reception is good in the area.
