- "The resort is beautiful, with garden swings located around the resort facing the bay. The pools are beautiful, clean, and refreshing. There is a large slide in the children's pool, and water spray-ups that are fun for children of all ages. Large trees, with Spanish moss hanging from them, cover the grounds and provide a beautiful backdrop and welcome shade to the walkways and pool area. There are two beaches, one large and one small one. The large one has white sand, beach chairs, beach volleyball, yard swings; there are jet skis, kayaks, and other boats to rent as well. The bay water is somewhat brown, but not horrible. The pool area is beside the large beach and there is a restaurant attached that is a good place to get things like quesadillas, burgers, chips & dip, etc. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the main building; it was expensive but large, luxurious, and delicious. There was a safe in the room which are handy for leaving your valuables in while at the pool or beach. The whole resort has a safe, clean feel and I would recommend it to any family. The small town of Fairhope has shops that are fun to browse around in and a few restaurants that have a small, hometown feel. We enjoyed especially Gene's Beans which is a great place to get ice cream. The only drawback that we encountered was the walls of the rooms seem to be lacking in insulation, so if people are talking, laughing, or playing in the next room it is hard to ignore it and go to sleep."

Come and enjoy a few nights of fun and fishing on the historical Fish River. This centrally located property is a mere 15 minutes from the beautiful town of Fairhope and it is approximately 30 minutes away from the white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Our comfy river cabin includes 1 bed/ 1bath and is able to comfortably sleep two adults. The kitchen is fully functional as well as an outdoor charcoal grill. A large covered porch is an inviting place to sit, relax, and enjoy the view of the river. It is intentionally positioned on Fish River basin, which gives you a great deal of privacy while also being a stones-throw away from the main river. The cabin does not sit on the water. but our beautiful boathouse provides ample water access. We have a long pier for fishing and swimming, as well as a beautiful boathouse. We have a place to launch kayaks or other small boats as well as the perfect place for swimming. This prime Fish River location gives you access to some of the best fishing Baldwin County has to offer. Nina's Cottage is a quaint farmhouse that my Czech grandmother lived in when they came to Alabama in the 1920's to farm. It has a country feel with a big front porch and lots of comfortable living. This unique farmhouse is a throw-back to an earlier time. The house has recently undergone an extensive renovation. New drywall, updated cabinets, new windows and doors and so much more. Your personal home including a living room, huge open eat-in country kitchen, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, large bathroom, laundry and enclosed back porch. The front porch is spacious and perfect for relaxing. A rural experience minutes away from downtown Fairhope. Groceries, gasoline, pharmacies, hospitals are even closer.

A modest 3 bedroom brick home built with Papa in mind. The house is completely accessible, including wide doorways, no carpet and bathroom railings. Queen sized beds in two bedrooms. The third bedroom has been made in to a large laundry room but has a hotel style rollaway bed available for use.
The home has one full bathroom with an accessible shower. The kitchen has all major appliances including a dishwasher. There is a nice big yard but it is not fenced in.

We are 8 miles from downtown Fairhope and closer to lots of wonderful restaurants.

Bass-kin is a house located directly on the Fairhope side of Fish river. The cabin has a very inviting interior with wood panels, floor, and blinds. Bass-kin has great natural lighting with 11 windows(with natural wood blinds). You are so high up that you feel like you are in a treehouse. The ladder leading to the upstairs loft style bedroom has a full size bed with a great expansive view of the river. If you prefer not to use the ladder, the couch down on the main floor is a pullout queen size bed.

Enjoy everything about the property: kayaks, fishing poles, grilling picnic area with a Webber charcoal grill, fire pit,etc. The river is great place to spend your time! The Inside of the tiny house living area is a great place to watch a movie or football game. It has a comfortable leather couch and a 42 inch Smart TV which includes Youtube TV, which is the newest(best) streaming service that provides 70 of the best cable channels, and is easy to navigate. When watching movies, the smart tv allows you to log in to your Netflix or Amazon Prime account. We have Wifi internet with lots of power(300 mpbs!!). Big Daddy's grill is just a few blocks down the road. Big Daddy's is one of the areas most popular casual dinning restaurants located on the river.
The occasional rain shower can be a little bit of a bummer at most places, but not at the cabin. Its great to hear the rain on the tin roof.
Southern Summers can be hot. The cabin has two air conditioners and a dehumidifier... When combined it makes a comfortable temperature inside of the cabin.

A large portion of short term rental properties have the owners who live on or adjacent to the property. We do not live on or adjacent to the cabin.

Palmetto Carriage House is a light filled studio apartment full of charming, eclectic details! With vaulted ceilings and reclaimed materials, the Carriage House is full of style and personality. A king size bed and full bathroom (with a tub) is perfect for two people. Generous seating in the living room offers plenty of places to nap or read. A charming, private back porch is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a cool drink at the end of the day. A small but well stocked efficiency kitchen meets your needs for a short day. There is no stove but a hot plate and toaster oven will cover all your cooking needs. There is a full sized washer and dryer in the attached laundry area. We provide an initial supply of coffee, creamer, sugar, toiletries and laundry detergent for few days. Folding beach chairs and beach towels are available for guest use.

The Carriage House is a short stroll (.5 miles) to the heart of downtown Fairhope full of great shopping and delicious restaurants. Located behind Palmetto Cottage, which is also available to rent, the detached Carriage House has it's own dedicated parking and private entrance and is located on the same property as the Cottage.

Driveway is tight so no trailers or campers are allowed.

There were multiple vehicles at the other rental property during our stay, so it was very tight to come and go, even for my car. The front end of our car is very low so we also had to be careful not to drag coming and going. But if we would’ve driven one of our SUVs I’m not sure how that would’ve worked. So when it says the driveway is tight, it is tight. It’s absolutely doable—just be aware. Even so, there’s no way that it would keep us away. :)"

Note: there is only one TV which is located in the living area. Appliances include gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, blender, Ninja 10 cup coffee maker, dishwasher, refrigerator and washer and dryer.

The cottage has a full kitchen with Keurig coffee maker and microwave, washer and dryer and a cute covered porch on which to relax. There are two bedrooms, one queen and one full bed, and shared hall bath with large shower (no tub). We provide an initial supply of coffee, creamer, sugar, toiletries and laundry detergent for few days. Folding beach chairs and beach towels are available for guest use.

Please know that since this cottage is almost a 100 years old it has small hallways and doors.

Driveway is tight so no trailers or campers are allowed.

Palmetto Carriage House, which is a separate rental located behind Palmetto Cottage on the same property, is an open concept studio apartment with a king size bed, living room, full bath and efficiency kitchen. The carriage house has a private entrance and secluded back porch. Perfect if you need space for a few extra guest but still private enough to feel secluded. The Carriage House is a separate rental and not available to use unless a separate rental is booked.
