This adorable studio was remodeled summer, 2024 so everything is brand new and has everything any one would need. It is located one block from the Museum of Art as well as downtown so no need to get in your car. Our guesthouse sits right behind our main house which is on the beautiful historic 6th Ave. one block from town. You can park behind our house and beside the guesthouse.

Our studio/guesthouse has a king size bed so you will sleep well after exploring Laurel all day. The blackout curtains will keep out the light so you can sleep late if you'd like.

There's a little kitchennette with microwave, refrigerator, sink, and Keurig coffee maker. Enjoy a slow start to your day sipping a cup of coffee with the coffee pods that we provide.

Relax with a hot shower or bath at the end of your fun day in Laurel since the bathroom has a full size tub with a shower. No need to bring soap, etc. as shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel is here for your convenience. We installed a magnifying mirror to help with putting on makeup. A hair blower is also provided.

This 1920's treasure holds nearly 100 years of special memories for our family. It has recently been lovingly renovated and restored and is very comfortable. Much of the original shiplap, beaded-board, and heart pine floors have been retained and restored, as well as much of the original exterior and front porch. The house is tastefully decorated with lots of color and antiques. All furniture (including mattresses) are brand new as of August, 2022. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you could possibly need for baking or making a family meal. The's a 55" TV, dining table for 4, and a big kitchen with keurig and cuisinart coffee makers, crockpot, nice set of pots and pans, knife set, and so much more.

Remodeled 1930’s Manor just minutes from Historic Downtown Laurel.

Set on a hillside overlooking one of Laurel’s prominent avenues, 7th Avenue Manor provides guests options of watching the avenue come to life from the front porch, enjoying a fresh cup of coffee in serenity on the morning porch, or visiting with family/friends around the outdoor fireplace.

Inside, the Manor retains its 1930’s charm amidst modern updates and conveniences. The home has the capability to accommodate up to 14 guests in the five bedrooms. On the main floor, guests will find the main bedroom with a king bed, spacious walk-in closet, bookcase and small sofa for reading, and en-suite bathroom. Four other bedrooms await upstairs including a double bed with a set of single bunk beds, a queen bed, another queen with a daybed and trundle, and a double bed tucked away in a bonus room inside the upstairs master. Exactly as advertised, exceptional customer service and within walking distance to charming shops and restaurants in downtown Laurel. As fans of the HGTV show, we wanted the full Laurel/Mississippi/Historic Reno experience and we got it in the beautiful, yet simply appointed Author's Suite. Apartment is clean and new, living area is cozy and bedroom invites a comfortable night's sleep. Location is A+ as it sits on the edge of the historic downtown, allowing you to start your day at the Coffee and Tea Shop, meander through all the shops downtown and end the evening with dinner and a visit for ice cream at the Creamery, without ever retracing your steps or using your car. We extended our walk to the historic 5th Ave homes and Museum - not an inconvenience given the Author's Suite location. Highly recommend a Monday-through-Thursday arrival to this property and enjoy the following two complete days of soaking-in the charm and history of Laurel. (Much of downtown Laurel is closed Sunday/Monday) We really appreciate the work put into the design/creation of The Author's Suite and would be delighted to stay here again."

Located in the heart of Downtown Laurel, Mississippi, The Buzzard’s Roost Inn is a truly one-of-a-kind place to stay. Relax in one of our Crescent Line-themed rooms before setting out to explore the charming downtown area you’ve come to love on HGTV’s Home Town.
The inn is newly built on the second floor of the 100-year-old Lott Furniture Building and features unique design details you won’t find anywhere else in Laurel.
With five total rooms—two king suites, two queen rooms, and a cozy common area with seating and a kitchenette—each space is thoughtfully curated to reflect a stop along the historic Crescent Line Railroad, which still runs daily from the station just across the street.

Please note that we are not a full-service hotel. This means there is no front desk or on-site staff at all times. However, our friendly property manager, Troy, is just a message away and available to assist you with anything you may need.

Before your stay: We guarantee a response within 24 hours. If we’re assisting other guests, please leave a voicemail or send a message—we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Housekeeping
Our team cleans between each guest stay for maximum guest privacy.
We keep rooms well stocked and spares of most things in the shared common area, but should you need anything else, you can reach out to our property manager who will arrange that as soon as possible.
If you would like a light cleaning/tidying during your stay (bed made, etc.) let us know before your stay, and we will arrange it at no additional cost.
Noise Notice
Our inn is located across from an active train line. While many guests enjoy the unique charm of this setting, you may hear local music, voices, or the train during your stay.
Rooms include white noise machines, and we do our best to minimize disruption.
Pets & Service Animals
We do not allow pets at this time.
However, service animals—including emotional support animals—are welcome.
Please notify us at booking so we can prepare. Guests are responsible for any damages and must kennel animals when not present.
Smoking Policy
No smoking of any kind is permitted inside the building.
Our facility has a commercial sprinkler system and smoke detection in every area.
Smoking indoors may result in fines and/or damage charges.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator. Please be aware before booking that access to The Buzzard’s Roost Inn is by stairwell only.
We’ve received many questions about accessibility and ADA compliance, and we want to be fully transparent.
As a business—and more importantly, as humans—we never want anyone to feel forgotten or excluded. We understand that not all guests can comfortably or safely climb stairs with luggage.
Our decision not to install an elevator was not taken lightly. The building is over 100 years old—so old, in fact, that we don’t know the exact year it was built.
Because of its age and structural limitations, the building cannot support a new interior elevator shaft. An exterior installation would require construction in the uneven back alley behind the building, where there is no available parking and limited accessibility. Guests would have to walk from Oak Street across unpaved ground to reach an outdoor elevator—something that, at this time, is not financially feasible or safe to implement.
That said, it is our hope that in the coming years, we will be able to make meaningful changes to improve accessibility within the Inn.
Regarding ADA Compliance
§ 36.404 Alterations: Elevator exemption
(a) This section does not require the installation of an elevator in an altered facility that is less than three stories or has less than 3,000 square feet per story, except with respect to any facility that houses a shopping center, a shopping mall, the professional office of a health care provider, a terminal, depot, or other station used for specified public transportation, or an airport passenger terminal.
We fall under this exemption, as The Buzzard’s Roost Inn is less than 3,000 square feet per story and less than three stories tall.
If you have questions or concerns about accessibility, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’ll do our best to help however we can.

A $100 pre-authorized damage deposit is required at booking and released within 3 days of checkout.

Knew it was upstairs but frankly did not think was it stairs or elevator. Was not a problem for us this year but might be in the future. " - "Quick short stay. Bed is SUPER soft. The inn is newly built on the second floor of the 100-year-old Lott Furniture Building and features unique design details you won’t find anywhere else in Laurel.
With five total rooms—two king suites, two queen rooms, and a cozy common area with seating and a kitchenette—each space is thoughtfully curated to reflect a stop along the historic Crescent Line Railroad, which still runs daily from the station just across the street.

Please note that we are not a full-service hotel. This means there is no front desk or on-site staff at all times. However, our friendly property manager, Troy, is just a message away and available to assist you with anything you may need.
You can reach Troy via text, call, email, or messaging through your booking platform (Lodgify, Airbnb, or VRBO/HomeAway).
Before your stay: We guarantee a response within 24 hours. If we’re assisting other guests, please leave a voicemail or send a message—we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
During your stay: Troy will respond as quickly as possible, though replies may be slower during evenings and weekends.
For emergencies: Please call 911 or refer to the emergency contact numbers provided in your guest guide (available in the Lodgify app and in each room).

Housekeeping
Our team cleans between each guest stay for maximum guest privacy.
We keep rooms well stocked and spares of most things in the shared common area, but should you need anything else, you can reach out to our property manager who will arrange that as soon as possible.
If you would like a light cleaning/tidying during your stay (bed made, etc.) let us know before your stay, and we will arrange it at no additional cost.
Noise Notice
Our inn is located across from an active train line. While many guests enjoy the unique charm of this setting, you may hear local music, voices, or the train during your stay.
Rooms include white noise machines, and we do our best to minimize disruption.
Pets & Service Animals
We do not allow pets at this time.
However, service animals—including emotional support animals—are welcome.
Please notify us at booking so we can prepare. Guests are responsible for any damages and must kennel animals when not present.
Smoking Policy
No smoking of any kind is permitted inside the building.
Our facility has a commercial sprinkler system and smoke detection in every area.
Smoking indoors may result in fines and/or damage charges.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator. Please be aware before booking that access to The Buzzard’s Roost Inn is by stairwell only.
We’ve received many questions about accessibility and ADA compliance, and we want to be fully transparent.
As a business—and more importantly, as humans—we never want anyone to feel forgotten or excluded. We understand that not all guests can comfortably or safely climb stairs with luggage.
Our decision not to install an elevator was not taken lightly. The building is over 100 years old—so old, in fact, that we don’t know the exact year it was built.
Because of its age and structural limitations, the building cannot support a new interior elevator shaft. An exterior installation would require construction in the uneven back alley behind the building, where there is no available parking and limited accessibility. Guests would have to walk from Oak Street across unpaved ground to reach an outdoor elevator—something that, at this time, is not financially feasible or safe to implement.
That said, it is our hope that in the coming years, we will be able to make meaningful changes to improve accessibility within the Inn.
Regarding ADA Compliance
§ 36.404 Alterations: Elevator exemption
(a) This section does not require the installation of an elevator in an altered facility that is less than three stories or has less than 3,000 square feet per story, except with respect to any facility that houses a shopping center, a shopping mall, the professional office of a health care provider, a terminal, depot, or other station used for specified public transportation, or an airport passenger terminal.
We fall under this exemption, as The Buzzard’s Roost Inn is less than 3,000 square feet per story and less than three stories tall.
If you have questions or concerns about accessibility, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’ll do our best to help however we can.

A $100 pre-authorized damage deposit is required at booking and released within 3 days of checkout.

We’ve made the difficult decision to close The Buzzard’s Roost Bar.
While we’ll miss serving you, rest assured there are plenty of great spots for food and drinks just a short walk away. You’ll find some of our favorite local recommendations listed in the guest guide provided in each room.

- "This Inn is an awesome Laurel destination - it is so Home Town - fabulous!!" - "Excellent stay! The only request I have is that the hallway lights dim after 10pm. The light that comes in through the transom window made it difficult for the guests who slept on the pullout to sleep. Otherwise, very nice accommodations!" - "The room and common living areas are beautiful. The restaurant/bar had very good food. They only serve beer and a few frozen drinks. No mixed drinks or wine. We stayed in the Laurel room and I new the train station was a working station however we did not realize that it would run at 10pm 11pm 12pm 3am 5am so even though that is THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in my life neither my husband or I slept much do to continuously getting woken up by the train. Not sure if the furthest room would’ve been better. We most likely will not stay on the train line a second time. Glad for the one time experience. Again beautifully done just need some sound proofing."

With outdoor living areas, the front porch has a beautiful view of the large oak tree with reaching branches and Japanese Camilla Trees, plus a Magnolia tree! kitchen has brand new butcher block countertops installed by Hometown Handy Man, New fridge, Microwave, Stove,Oven, Keurig Coffee Maker and a washer and dryer. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a cozy little place to relax, and enjoy your stay, we love any group from a family gathering or girls trips, wedding parties to couples traveling together to Anniversaries. From ball teams to folks stopping in route to their next destination.

Our favorite spot is the large front covered deck where you can enjoy late night chats, eating breakfast, or even playing board games on rainy days sit and enjoy the blooming flowers on the many trees and bushes that surround the Cottage.

Just on the outskirts of downtown you will find cozy little Rose Buds. This unique apartment is one of two in the duplex that features two bedrooms and one bath, a kitchen and all the things needed for a nice trip to Laurel. Master has queen bed and extra has a double bunkbed, very comfortable and close to all things fun in Laurel.

You’ll have full access to the entire apartment during your stay. The parking area and exterior staircase are shared with the friendly homeowners, who are welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, ensuring you feel right at home.

A few things to note: When leaving, please pull the door toward you to ensure it locks properly. In the bathtub, the water is reversed—hot water flows first, followed by cold.

Nestled behind 7th Ave Manor is the stylish Mini Manor. A unique guest house secluded and tucked away with a turf area to play corn hole and relax while enjoying a glass of wine around the fire pit.

The space
As you walk in the mini-manor, you will find yourself in the living space. Plenty of seating, including a window seat, surround the television ready for game day or the latest episode on HGTV. Just beyond the living space is the kitchen/dining area with many appliances at your disposal including stove, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, and drip coffee maker. Prepackaged snacks, coffee, and bottled water are also provided. Walk through the sliding wood doors into the laundry area and find a stackable washer and dryer complete with laundry detergent for your convenience. The bedroom, just beyond the laundry room, has a queen bed, daybed and trundle bed, and an additional television. The bathroom, inside the bedroom, has a walk-in shower and plenty of bath essentials.

The entire guesthouse is yours throughout your stay. You will have private parking and outdoor areas just for you and your party. As shown in the pictures, the home can only be accessed by a short stairway from the parking pad.

Unit A provides a charming space with unbeatable convenience. This space can comfortably accommodate 2-3 adults, featuring two twin beds and a roll-away bed. You have everything required for a comfortable stay: a private entrance and a lovely equipped kitchenette. New appliances, bedding, and furniture create stunning accommodations for relaxing and enjoying yourself and your loved ones. Upon arrival, you will also find the unit fully stocked with linens, towels, and all the essentials you require during your stay. Unit A has been newly remodeled.

Wake up early, grab your coffee while taking advantage of the charming seating area, and look forward to your exploration of America’s “Home Town.”

As a guest of Unit A, you have access to the shared front porch of the bungalow. You can enter the unit through the front of the property.

Your private entrance is on the back left side of Reunion House at the end of the private drive. You will receive access codes closer to check-in.

The parking spot for Unit A allows for one vehicle. For additional parking, free public parking is available around the corner from the home on Commerce Street.

To park, pull into the drive on the left side of the house and drive to the back. Once on the parking pad, pull to the right to allow access for an additional car on the left. Reunion House shares the parking pad with our neighbors. Only one car is permitted to park on the premises.

Our cozy cottage is located in Laurel’s Historic District, around the corner from the Lauren Rodgers Art Museum. Downtown Laurel is a 5-10 minute walk along the tree lined streets past the homes of the pine barons who were influential in the early success of Laurel as a center of the pine industry. Our circa 1906 cottage recently renovated to provide a pleasant setting for your visit to Laurel. Queen sleigh bed under a vaulted ceiling for a restful night with French door access to the spacious deck. The living room has a queen sofa bed for the kids or extra guests. Kitchenette with microwave and Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge with freezer, full kitchen sink, dishes and silverware for 4, snacks and smart TV. Our cottage provides A/C and heating, Internet, multi device charging station and access to the storm shelter for the main house. Monitored security cameras cover the yard, parking area and entry door as well as motion detection lights.
