A beautiful, quiet and cozy lakefront cottage with over 300 feet of shoreline to enjoy. The abundance of trees allows you to unwind while swinging in the hammock or relaxing on the spacious deck however, those who prefer the sun can soak up the rays on your private dock. We have been blessed to have made so many wonderful memories with our family and friends over the years and hope that you will also make fond memories during your vacation on Lake Norman.

The master bedroom has a King bed with sliding glass doors onto a spacious deck overlooking the lake. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk with a full, on the bottom and a twin on top. A Jack and Jill bathroom with double sinks separates the two bedrooms. Ceiling fans in each bedroom along with Roku, cable TV and a DVD player.

The kitchen is fully equipped with new upgrades to accommodate your needs.

The Family room has a fantastic view of the lake with cathedral ceilings, 3 ceiling fans with lights, a 50-inch Roku cable TV, stereo, DVD player, and internet. Also has a delightful dining area.

You will love the beach! It is perfect for the kids to run around and play in the sand while you watch from the patio or dock. The "bay" offers a safe swimming environment, being indented into the shoreline, feel comfortable and confident that your loved ones are safe from boat traffic. Entering the cottage, you will see a beautiful view of the Lake through the front wall which is 80% glass. The very open floor plan offers wonderful interactions with guest while cooking in the kitchen. The living room features a large flat screen TV as well as a pull out couch. After taking in the view, you’ll notice the elegantly crafted wooden interior of our new, fully renovated home. On this level you will find the second bedroom with a queen bed facing a picturesque view of the lake. This bedroom has a large private bathroom with a walk-in tile shower and marble floors. Get away from the hectic affairs of daily life and relax on the bucolic west side of Lake Norman. The house has 198 feet of waterfront. Located mid-way up Lake Norman, the house is far enough away from Charlotte to be outside of suburbia, but close enough to civilization for convenient access to restaurants and shopping. The house has a good view across a very wide cove that is perfect for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. You have a choice of swimming from a protected beach or swimming off the dock in deep water. We have a canoe, kayaks, and paddle board that are available for use by the renters free of charge. We also have various indoor and outdoor games available for use, including various board games, Bocce, horseshoes, and Croquet. There are fishing rods if you want to try your luck at catching dinner.

The house was completely renovated in 2015-2016 and a new screen porch was added in February 2018. There is a queen-sized (firm) bed in one bedroom and two (medium firmness) twin beds in the second bedroom. A side room has an additional twin bed (medium firmness). We do not recommend the house for groups with more than 5 people.

A washer and dryer are available for use in the utility room. If it gets cold, there is a wood-stove in additional to a heat pump system. Outside, there is a large dock with deep water and room for multiple boats. If you have a boat, it is most convenient to put the boat in at either the Lake Norman Hotel landing, the McCrary Creek access area, the Hager Creek access area or the Burton Creek access area.

The house is not large or fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. Although there is a great view from most of the rooms in the house, you will want to spend most of your time on the dock, on the screen porch or in the water. Early in the morning, as the mist is lifting from the lake, is great time to sit in the porch swing on the dock or one of the rockers and enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee. It is not uncommon to see deer, herons, turtles, muskrats, ducks, and geese. There is also a friendly catfish that will stick its nose out of the water and beg to be fed.

If you are looking for a quiet vacation spot, this is a great house for you. If you are looking for a place to party into the wee hours of the night, this is not a good choice. The neighbors are generally quiet and go to sleep early. Because sound travels far on a quiet cove, the neighbors will complain and you feel unwelcome if there is a lot of noise or cars coming in and out late at night.

Because the house is frequently vacant, there are two outdoor security cameras that point away from the house. One camera is between the garage doors pointed toward the road and one camera is on the northeast corner of the screen porch pointed toward the driveway.

Nestled among the trees on the secluded side of Lake Norman, this picture-perfect classic-style camp is updated with brand-new furnishings. It has beautiful spaces for everyone to enjoy while relaxing, having fun, and making life-long memories at the lake.

The Space
This modernized one-story 1300-square-foot ranch home is directly located on Lake Norman in Denver, NC. Upon pulling into the carpark, you are greeted with sublime water and natural views. When you step inside, you will be greeted by the stylish decor. There is plenty of room to socialize in the large open floorplan. The living room opens to an adorable sunroom where you can begin and end the day with sunrise/sunset hues.

The deck provides sun and shade for dining together at the table (seats six (6), grilling, playing games, or sunbathing on the chaise lounges. The deck boasts unobstructed views of the water from every angle.

Walk down to the over-water-lighted gazebo to play card games, enjoy snacks and drinks, or enjoy fishing or a dip in the lake right off the dock! If you like to stay active on vacations, there is plenty to do. You can kayak, paddleboard, go for a swim, play cornhole, or golf nearby.

The Kitchen
Adjacent to the living room, the open-concept kitchen is the heart of all the action. No expense was spared in this area! The quartz island has barstool seating for three guests and is outfitted with high-end stainless steel appliances, including an induction range, microwave, refrigerator, and garbage disposal.

A UV water filtration system has been installed, making the water safer for drinking and cooking. The fully stocked kitchen has all the essentials you will need during your stay, including a Keurig coffee maker.
Please note: Due to the septic system, you must be mindful of what goes into the garbage disposal, or you will be charged an additional fee to unclog it.

Living room/ Dining area (Open Concept)
The living room is stylishly decorated, and a 65" SmartTV is provided for you to watch your favorite TV shows or movies. You may log into the TV with your personal streaming apps or use the Direct TV app to browse cable channels.

The farmhouse table has seating for up to four people, with additional seating at the kitchen bar top. There is seating for six (6) people on the balcony deck and seating for four(4) on the dock.
We are still in the process of adding updates and will soon add a minibar and fridge.

Bedroom One - Primary
The primary bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. All of the linens, pillows, and mattresses have just been purchased. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, and you will surely get a good night's rest. There are plenty of windows providing a lot of natural light as well. The room has a private ensuite toilet and sink but no shower. There is a desk in the primary bedroom for any business travel.

Bedroom Two
Bedroom two is furnished with a queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds. It can sleep up to four (4) guests. This bedroom is appointed with newly purchased comfortable linens, pillows, and mattresses, allowing your guests to get a good night's rest in their room.

The Sunroom
This adorable room is just off the living area and is furnished with a twin-size trundle bed. It is undoubtedly the most versatile room in the house not to mention everyone's favorite! The sunroom overlooks the deck and offers direct lake views. There is also a nest swing to cuddle up with your favorite book and cup of tea.

The Backyard
This large backyard is the perfect location to make many memories with your family. There are outdoor chairs to relax on and plenty of grass space to lay out or run around. Go swimming in the lake or enjoy the gorgeous North Carolina weather. The dock allows you to rent a boat nearby or bring your boat and launch from the ramp.

Most people call our place Paradise and it truly is! We do live on the property but travel frequently so we may or may not be home when you visit. We are available if you have questions but you will have privacy. WE DO NOT ALLOW BIG PARTIES. Our maximum amount of guests is 6 people.

We have a beautifully furnished 1280 sq. ft. two bedroom, one bath garage apartment ready for your enjoyment.; MAXIMUM OF 6 PEOPLE. Our kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking needs. The kitchen-living area is a large, open space where you can still enjoy family time while cooking. The living area has a flat screen TV for your enjoyment. Both bedrooms have queen beds. The master bedroom has a TV with a DVD player. The living area also has a full size sleeper sofa. This apartment is situated directly behind our house (about 150' from the lake). Our property is located at the end of the street so we're secluded with lots of trees. We have a large dock with two boat slips and ladder (for swimming) plus a large seating area (no splinters-we used all recycled composite boards)! Enjoy our sandy beach area where kids can walk out into the lake to swim or sit and play in the sand (our grand kids love it)! Also enjoy our nice fire-pit area that overlooks the lake. It's a great place to roast marshmallows or hot dogs over an open fire in the evenings as you watch the moon come up over the main channel.

Bring your own boat or jet skis, there is boat launching nearby. Or, rent a boat by the day or week from What's Up Watersports, CS Rentals of LN, Lake Norman Marine and others that specialize in Jet Ski and pontoon rentals.

Our dock will accommodate up to a 28 ft boat and is protected from large wave action from almost every direction. It is only a couple minutes motoring from the main channel and the best part of Lake Norman.

We do not rent at the monthly rate during peak season since we our cottage stays fully booked, but you can rent multiple weeks at the weekly rate during summer season.

This house is not your average rental and is not appropriate for parties, and is not available for rentals that involve larger groups sharing weekends over a longer period, i.e. 4 couples rent for a month and each use for a separate weekend. If you have very rambunctious children you may find protecting the interior finish and furniture problematic. We expect our guests to treat our house and our neighbors with care and respect.

Our house is on a private road. Please don't drive further down our road than our driveway, instead use our driveway to turn around to respect our neighbors further down the roads privacy. Please park only on our property and not along the fence along the private road.

Our cottage has:
One king bed in the master on the third floor.
One full bed and one bunk bed on the first floor.
We do whatever we can to make this a relaxing experience for you and your family. We provide the extras so that it is not nessasary to pack the car to the rim. Paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dish soap, linens and towels, beach towels, life preservers, propane, trash bags enough for normal use for one week are included. Typically there is a good selection of spices, cooking oil, coffee filters. Ice trays are provided, there is no ice maker.
We are very happy to answer any questions you may have after you read the complete listing.
After booking we will need to speak to renters directly by phone to insure that the rules of the house are clearly understood. We also will need a copy of the drivers license and the make and license tag of vehicles and a list of guest staying before arrival. We reserve the right to cancel any booking if this is not completed or if we determine that the party does not conform to our policies. Parties larger than 5 are possible but we will need to discuss this before booking. Thats a lot so thank you for reading!

Squirrel Haven Cottage is a peaceful 1-bedroom guest house next to our home on Lake Norman. Nestled privately amidst trees with a beautiful lawn leading down to the lake. With access to a private pier and floating dock, this is a perfect place for a quiet lakefront getaway.

Welcome to adorable Belmont where charm blossoms and so does our cottage. Recently renovated with heart and love, it’s an old house but we think it’s pretty sweet and we hope our guests do too. New mattresses, new furniture, tankless water heater and all new appliances - we made an old house shine again. We are a 15 min walk to downtown and all that Belmont has to offer or just enjoy the space, eat al fresco or swing in the hammock. You’re home at Belmont Cottage.

The Space -
Beautiful natural light, vaulted ceilings, gorgeous chandelier, vertical shiplap, gold hardware and neutral, soothing decor. Let your eyes rest in this soothing abode. Relax in the open space making it easy to chat on the sofa while some cooks in the kitchen. Our smart ROKU tv allows you stream your own streaming accounts. Head to the master bedroom where a new king mattress awaits with its own ensuite bathroom and rainfall shower head. We have a cozy (ie small) second bedroom that has a full bed with a lofted twin mattress over the full bunk for a whimsical room that allows additional sleeping options. To sleep 3 in this room, I recommend kids or 2 adults understanding that one will have to climb to the lofted twin bed.
The second bathroom is located off the den with a tub/shower combo. The house is on a tankless water heater - hot water might take a few more seconds to heat up but once it does, it will never run out. Enjoy the gas grill outside or electric stove inside. The whole house is cooled and heated by a mini-split system. This means each room can have their own temperature.

A unique option with this cottage is that it is located behind our sister Airbnb - The Belmont Bungalow. Although both houses have their own private and completely separate space and yards - should families need to book both - ie for wedding weekends, holidays, reunions, etc - you have the possibility of having 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms to sleep a total of 11 people between both neighboring houses. Each home must be booked separately due to different calendars and cleaning fees, any outside use of space must still be approved if unauthorized guests are coming on site. This new listing provides convenience for those needing additional overflow space to have another house close by or for those choosing to stay private, it is still tucked away and makes a beautiful home away from home. It's always nice to have options and the Belmont Cottage and The Belmont Bungalow provide those.

We live close by and have licensed professionals should any problems arise, but we typically allow apps and messaging to allow guests access so guests can come and go as they please.

Come enjoy this 2 bedroom, 1 bath waterfront property with amazing views of the morning sunrises. It is located in a quiet cove with open water views, private boat ramp, pier, boat slip, kayaks and paddle boards. Swim ladder and fishing on the dock. We're just 12 miles from exit 25 off I77 and a quick 35 minute ride to center city Charlotte or CLT airport.

The guest house is approx 750 sqf and was completed in the fall of 2021. This is a single story home with no stairs. The heating and air are all electric and very quiet. The house has Wi-Fi and all TV's setup with Roku for streaming. YouTube TV included. Ceiling fans are located in the living room, bedroom and covered porch. Spot lighting along the corners and outdoor coach lights at both entrances. The main entrance door and all interior doorways are ADA compliant. Shower can accommodate a roll-in wheelchair. Grab bars for toilet available upon request.

Living/dining area - We have double loungers on the couch and a 60" TV ready to stream your favorite channels. The TV wall unit has lot's of storage space and contains board games, puzzles, cards and dice. There's a separate dining area with 4 comfortable cushioned dining chairs. This space is multi use and can be utilized for dining, game playing and/or work space.

Bedroom - The bedroom is equipped with a comfortable Queen size bed and two end tables. There is a wall of closets and enough dresser space to tuck all your things away during your visit. The bedroom has a 60" TV and is setup to stream all of your favorite channels. The room has a ceiling fan to keep you cool. Note - there is an air mattress available for setup in the living room should you need additional sleeping space.

Kitchen - We have a fully stocked kitchen complete with everything you'll need to whip up a quick breakfast or an elaborate dining experience. Appliances include a full sized refrigerator, microwave, electric range with oven and 5 burners, dishwasher, air-fryer/toaster, Mr. Coffee coffee brewer, hand mixer and blender. The house has many of the standard condiments and spices you'll need for your meals. Coffee and tea service is provided along with a complimentary bag of ice for your cooler. Countertops are granite.

Bathroom - Our bathroom has a beautiful vanity with marble top and custom tiled walk in shower system. There's a full length mirror and teak shower bench for your comfort. Linens are upgraded. Full size, stacked washer and dryer conveniently placed.

You'll have complete private access to the ranch style guesthouse. You'll also have shared access to the lakefront area where we have a dock and sandy beach area for swimming and lounging.

Parking available for two vehicles directly behind the guest house. Additional parking available on adjacent stone driveway.

For guests with boats, jet skis or trailers, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements for the extra toys.

Jamie was very easy to work with and answered any questions I had very quickly. House was well stocked with anything you would need. She even had a pitcher of filtered water in the fridge when we arrived. House also has a large yard which was nice since our mini schnauzer was with us. Just a short drive to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, & really good ice cream! Hope to stay here next time I visit family in NC! For being so tiny, this little house has a LOT to offer! You'll find:

✓ - Privacy and quiet. This location is quiet, safe, and peaceful. The family we bought the property from hadn't locked their doors in 20 years. You can sleep in the hammocks undisturbed all night. This is life as it was meant to be.

✓ - Fantastic outdoor spaces including a large patio with yellow leaf hammocks and Adirondack chairs perfect for stargazing after grilling some steaks on a flameless Blackstone grill (which we love!). Enjoy eating at a small picnic table and benches for outdoor meals. At the center of the patio is an awesome fire pit which is perfect for whiling away the night!

✓ - A coffee bar which has a Keurig machine and Mr. Coffee coffee maker. Brew some coffee or tea and head out to the hammocks on the patio early in the morning to catch a roaming herd of deer.

✓ - A King-sized murphy bed that pulls down out of the wall cabinet.

✓ - A pool table and a 75-inch big screen, perfect for movie night or the big game.

✓ - If you want to throw in some big city living, The Shiloh Homestead is close enough to catch a Panthers or Hornets game or a major concert less than 30 minutes away in Uptown Charlotte.

✓ - Located in NC Wedding Country - there are 10 wedding venues within 10 miles and almost 20 within 20 miles.

NOTES:

This is a very tiny house - 515 square feet.

1. There is a kitchenette in the house with a microwave, air fryer, electric skillet, but NO oven or dishwasher. There is a very small refrigerator. Typically, guests don't do a lot of food preparation at the house, opting for the amazing local food options (like The Sundae Shoppe, Hot Mess Burgers, Whataburger, or Emricci's pizze) or simple meals, instead.

2. There is no laundry (washer or dryer) in the tiny house. (If you rent both Big Shiloh and LIttle Shiloh, however, there is onsite laundry at Big Shiloh.)

3. There is a train that runs just behind our property. Often it comes once a week. Sometimes it comes once a day. We love our erratic train very much. If you wave to the conductors they usually wave back - which is pretty cool. But guests from the tiny house should stay up around the tiny house and not venture down to the area of the property with the train (as that belongs to the other VRBO "Big Shiloh")

4. The tiny house ("Little Shiloh") sits on the same property as a farmhouse which operates as a separate VRBO rental ("Big Shiloh"). Sometimes guests rent both houses for family/extended family in town for a wedding, etc.

However, if you are not renting both properties, please respect the privacy of guests staying at Big Shiloh and do not approach that area, use its fire pit, walk across the property to look at the train, etc.

Our place is close to shopping, movie theater, parks, disc golf course, fitness center with indoor swimming pools and outdoor water park (summers only).. You’ll love it here because of the country setting on 13 acres with horses. Lots of space for families and larger groups. Friendly hosts. Small soccer field, volley ball court, badminton. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and dogs. No cats please.

The guest house is a fully private 2 bedroom, 2 bath house with a fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining area. There is also a 10' x 30' front porch right out your front door where you can overlook the acreage, wildlife and horses.

The Cottage in the Cove is a charming 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath home on Lake Norman. This warm and cozy cottage has been freshly remodeled while maintaining its charming character with exposed rock walls in the open floor plan living areas. This quaint area is calling you to grab a book, open the doors to the patio and relax into your own little reading nook. This house offers three bedrooms upstairs located above the walkout basement living area with a full bath upstairs.

The space
The Cottage in the Cove is a quaint 1350 square foot home that we fell in love with in the community of Denver, NC. The ideal size for a family, friends or solo vacation. We love nothing more than sharing this place and welcoming guests here to our relaxing piece of heaven!

**The water level is extremely low at certain times of the year. Typically peak season for water level is April - September. Reach out if curious on specific timeframe.**

Fully stocked with all the kitchen necessities you need to prepare a great meal at home. We provide you with cooking oils and a few variety of spices. If dining out is more your thing, there are many wonderful restaurants in the area that offer dine in and takeout.

There is a single cup Keurig available for your use!

There is a garbage disposal, reverse osmosis dispenser in the sink area.

Downstairs you can relax on the sofa after a day on the lake by
watching a movie on our streaming TV or spend your time playing a game together or just browse through our growing book choices. There is also an electric fireplace with a remote control.

There is a large space of grass between the patio and the lake access, all of which is behind a fence. There is a fire pit available in the yard as well.

Located on a small circled road. There are two houses separated with trees and shrubs on either side providing a very peaceful and quiet area.
