Greystone Cottage is newly renovated, dog-friendly, and a 5 min walk to restaurants, shopping, and countless special events that take place in the historic Town of West Jefferson (car shows, Christmas in July, parades, etc.). The cottage has a mountain view, large gated porch (perfect for keeping your dogs contained on the porch as needed), private hot tub (which is cleaned and balanced after each guest), gas grill, and fire pit with Edison lights and up lighting illuminating the outdoor area at night. The cottage is equipped with keyless entry, fiber optic high speed internet, smart TVs, washer and dryer, mini-split A/C and heat, and a fully functional kitchen. The kitchen has a stainless steel fridge, stove, oven, and dishwasher and the cabinets are stocked with utensils, pans, dishes, cups, etc. The refrigerator does not have an ice maker; however, there are ice trays in the freezer and a Brita filtered pitcher in the fridge. There is a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen, an electronic kettle, and coffee pods and creamers are provided for each guest along with other essentials like laundry, dishwashing pods, bath and hot tub towels. As an added treat, we provide some graham crackers, Hershey bars, and marshmallows for fun by the fire pit. The two bedrooms have brand new Sealy memory foam mattresses (Queen).

You can pretty much walk to anything you want to do downtown, but you are also only a few min. drive to Christmas tree lots, Old Barn Winery and Vineyards, hiking at Mt. Jefferson, Mountain Aire golf course, rafting on the new river, and countless restaurants and other experiences.

Dogs: As mentioned in the listing, we allow guests to bring two, small dogs, if they desire for an extra fee. The dogs cannot be vicious, destructive, or non-housebroken. Please reach out to the host for any questions.

The cleaning fee for each stay is $110. This is what my cleaning crew charges me to turnover the cottage and balance the hot tub. I do not make any money off the cleaning charge.

Prepare your meals in a well equipped kitchen that is sure to have all of the tools you would need. Some of our guests say they wish their own kitchen was stocked as well as the cottage’s. You should not want for anything. Whether baking something warm and delicious, fixing a hearty country meal or putting you’re culinary expertise into motion complimented with a beverage, all of the supplies are ready for you. The bathroom is supplied with towels and toiletries. The clothes washer and drier finish off the entry level along with the detergent.

The up stairs bedroom boasts a 400 s/f master suite and a very comfortable King Size Bed with a beautiful wooden sleigh headboard. A second fireplace helps you to relax and take in the warmth of the cottage. Open the windows or sit on one of the decks and listen to the sounds of the birds and the small creek that runs through the property. - "We wanted to get away from the heat in South Florida so we drove up to the cabin . It was our second time staying there. Loved it again . Dana makes sure of it . We loved seeing the deer and feeding them . We even got an unexpected visitor, a black bear. He climbed up the second story balcony to get to we think , the bird feeder. I ran and shut both doors quickly. What an experience.!! He must of gotten what he wanted and bolted. . I loved the cozy bed and chaise upstairs. It was too warm to raise the fireplace. - "Wonderful weekend getaway for my wife and I. This little cottage was the perfect size and location, very peaceful as well. Loved the large screened in deck and mountain view. we saw deer at the cottage every day during our stay. The local area has so much to offer it was hard to decide what to do next. Only two issues during the stay, if you have a large vehicle, it will be a bit difficult to get turned into the driveway at the cabin (we have a Subaru), also we did not get to enjoy the river access because we were not sure where to park. If we parked in front of the access, we would have blocked the road. The very small parking areas close to the access appear to belong to the neighbors. However, we would still use the vacation getaway again if coming to the area. "

You'll delight in the architecture and setting of Sweetwater! Only 10 minutes to town, it's the ideal mountain cottage retreat for solo travelers or couples, or those with one or two children, or two couples that are close friends.

Sweetwater was custom-built by the owners, and you'll appreciate the design and decorating style. A vaulted living room opens to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as an “office” with sliding barn-style French doors where you'll find a daybed that converts to a king bed. In the master, which has an en suite bath, you'll find a comfy queen bed where you'll be certain to sleep well!

The covered porch is a great place to relax on the sofa, or around the gas fire pit. You can choose to eat inside, or at the outside table for four. On the lower level of the porch you'll find the perfect spot for a nap – the swinging bed!

In the evenings, you can watch a movie on DVD, or any of the cable options on TV and also Netflix. Or gather at the round dining table for a board game – there are a bunch to choose from.

You can bring your dog to Sweetwater, and you and the dog will appreciate the fenced yard.

Just outside the door you'll find lots of trails – to the river, along the river, up hills and down. Chances are you'll not meet another soul, and feel like you have a state park all to yourself.

Sweetwater can either be your destination or your home base for exploring the northwest corner of North Carolina and even up into southwest Virginia!
Located on the southeast side of Ashe County, Sweetwater is just a short 10 minute drive to the shops, galleries, dining and activities in West Jefferson. It's the same distance to Mt. Jefferson, where you can hike on your own or with rangers during their scheduled hikes. And it's only 10 minutes to Glendale Springs and the access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Head north to Doughton Park and the Brinegar cabin to understand what life was like for settlers in this area, or south toward Moses Cone Park and the crafts gallery. You're only 30 minutes from all that Boone has to offer, and another 15 to Blowing Rock!

One of our favorite destinations is the Grayson Highlands State Park, a 50 minute drive, where you can roam the gorgeous land with the wild ponies, explore old cabins, and visit the park's visitor center for more of the area's history.

Or head to Todd and rent a kayak, canoe or bicycle from River Girl Fishing. Or just past Glendale Springs to Zaloo's Canoes and enjoy some quality New River Time. You are less than ten minutes to the new park at Elk Shoals off Boggs Road – a great place to get into the river and play.

This newly renovated farmhouse is a definite “Mountain Jewel.” Located just across from Jefferson Landing Golf course, 5 minutes from the New River, 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and close to the towns of Jefferson, West Jefferson, Boone and Wilkesboro, it is in the heart of the High Country.

As soon as you arrive at “Mountain Jewel” the first thing you will notice is the babbling stream that boasts mountain trout. A mountain view is also awaiting you from the front porch swing.

Step inside and you will find an updated home with modern touches that still pays tribute to the past. The living room features an electric log fireplace with a beautiful antique mantle and flat screen TV with internet channels for your viewing pleasure. A comfy loveseat and chair offer a place to curl up and watch a good movie or just relax. WiFi is provided throughout the home, and several board games for you to enjoy.

Upstairs above the living area, is Louis' loft, a tribute to the owner's grandfather, featuring desk for those that need to stay caught up on work while on vacation. Louis was an world renowned stamp collector and the owner graciously provides postcards with stamps for guests to drop a note to a loved one while on vacation. A cozy chair is also available to curl up and read a good book.

The spacious eat-in kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink that overlooks the stream, Keurig coffeemaker, and a dining table for four. A dishwasher makes for quick cleanup.

The main level also features two bedrooms. The first one features a queen bed and a flatscreen TV. There is a shared hall bath with tub/shower combo. In the hallway, there is a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. The second bedroom features a king bed with its own private bath with shower.

A landline phone is available in case of emergency. A power line runs through the backyard of the property. It doesn’t interfere with the view or otherwise cause any problems. Local hunters use surrounding land for deer and turkey hunting. You might hear gunshots though it is rare. If that bothers you, please look elsewhere. One exterior camera is located at the front door. It records sound and video when motion activated. It is on 24/7 including during your stay.

-The home is located on a NC Scenic Byway. There is potential for road noise from motorcycles, trucks, & cars that you will mainly hear if outdoors. The landscaping provides privacy to the home. Our home is embedded in nature and it is possible a critter such as a spider or bug will make its way inside. The home is regularly treated to keep critters away from the perimeter of the house.

The Rock - Charming Rustic Blowing Rock Mountain Cottage Located in Town in a Blowing Rock Country Club neighborhood but just one mile to the heart of Main Street with all the shops and restaurants! Walk the historic main Street Walking Path to all the shops and restaurants. Just the right distance to walk off a meal! Beautiful new back deck and both level front and back yards. A quick drive to all the outdoor recreational activities and hiking trails in the area including; Appalachian Ski Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Bass Lake, Price Lake, And Grandfather Mountain!

The neighborhood was peaceful and secluded, yet just three to five minutes to everything in Boone and about seven minutes to Blowing Rock via a back road. - "This house was really cute and the setup was great, it just needs a good deep clean to reach its full potential. It was generally clean in the sense that you could tell the sheets on the beds were clean, and the toilets, sinks and counters were clean, so we were happy about all that, but it needs a good deep clean to take care of the dust. We were pleasantly surprised by how well stocked the kitchen was for a rental and it was nice to have a surplus of household items like towels, blankets and pillows. One suggestion would be to leave some sort of book or binder of instructions for renters, because there were some times when we definitely could have used it. For example, when we got to the house the heat was all the way down so it was pretty chilly inside, and it took us a little while to figure out the climate controls. Someone before us had also clearly messed with the tv and fireplace so it took some time to get those working, so a book of instructions for things around the house would have been helpful. If we hadn't figured all that stuff out for ourselves we would have called the contact person, but we didn't want to bother them before at least trying. All in all we had a great time and we enjoyed our stay here!"

House has been completely renovated. Fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances including dishwasher, washer and dryer. Dinning room table seats six and another table in adjoining game area seats four. Living Room with propane fireplace, cable tv, dvd player and comfortable seating for the entire family. Three bedrooms sleep seven ( two queen beds, three twin beds). One bedroom has cable tv. Linens, picnic table and gas grill are provided. Wonderful covered front porch overlooking Roans Creek. Garage parking for two vehicles available. Also provided WiFi, games, books, puzzles, movies and pack-n-play. Propane heaters and fireplace comfortably heat the house. Woodland Cottage is situated on 4 acres along a rushing creek in Boone. Guests will have complete privacy throughout the the home and 4 acres of land. The basement area and utility room of the home are not available to guests and used for storage.

Other things to note
-There is very limited cell phone service on the property. However, guests can call, text, and use messaging apps over WiFi (high speed via Spectrum). A landline phone is available in case of emergency.

-A power line runs through the backyard of the property. It doesn’t interfere with the view or otherwise cause any problems.

-The front yard is fenced though short enough that some dogs can jump over. The back yard is not fenced. Guests should leash or supervise their dogs while on the property.

-Local hunters use surrounding land for deer and turkey hunting. You might hear gunshots though it is rare. If that bothers you, please look elsewhere.

-The home is located on a NC Scenic Byway. There is potential for road noise from motorcycles, trucks, & cars that you will mainly hear if outdoors. The landscaping provides privacy to the home.

-Our home is embedded in nature and it is possible a critter such as a spider or bug will make its way inside. Fall is “stink bug” season in western North Carolina. They are harmless but desperate to get inside and will fly in if you leave any doors open! The home has preventative service to keep critters away from the perimeter of the house.

-One exterior camera is located at the front door. It records sound and video when motion activated. It is on 24/7 including during your stay.

15 minutes to skiing and Blowing Rock. Less than 10 min to King St & Kidd Brewer Stadium. Enjoy the cool mountain air on the 50ft deck or cozy up by a fire in the fire pit or the gas fireplace inside. Fenced yard to keep the dogs and kids safe. Easy access to all the area has to offer yet off the beaten path.

There are mini split heating and cooling in every bedroom as well as a smart TV in each bedroom. The open floor plan is amazing for family gatherings. There is a master bedroom with a master bathroom on one side of the house and the other two bedrooms and second bathroom is on the opposite side of the house so everyone can also have privacy too.

Sweet Meadow Cottage is an enchanting, meticulously kept lake view cottage on the lake at SweetGrass, a beautiful private community where you can relax, fish (catch and release), mountain bike, walk the trails, kayak, and enjoy nature at its finest. The community is in close proximity to popular attractions like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Price Lake, Cone Manor House and trails, and WestGlow Spa.

The cottage is located on a beautifully landscaped property closest to the "Lake House," a private gathering spot for property owners in the community. Guests at Sweet Meadow Cottage may use the grassy areas, including the Lake House lawn, the beach area and all community trails. The owners provide a kayak and life jackets for your use as well as two mountain bikes! There is an outdoor firepit and covered grilling area for your use and is located at the Sweet Grass "Lake House".

You will love the relaxing sound of the natural flowing stream behind the home. The covered cottage deck faces the lake and has an outdoor wood burning fireplace, a dining table, and over-sized comfy wicker furniture, making outdoor dining or sitting by the fireplace a treat in several seasons! The cabin also has a grill for your use.  

The living area with vaulted ceiling has a stacked stone gas log fireplace and ample seating for conversation. Stream your favorite shows on the smart TV or play a board game on the large leather coffee table.  Adjacent to the living area is an open dining area that seats up to six. Next to the dining area is a large kitchen, with kitchen island, also open to the living area, so that you can visit with your guests while cooking up a veritable feast! The kitchen has all stainless appliances, ample granite countertops, a large farmhouse style sink, and all the usual cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils you will need. The kitchen includes a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, range, oven, refrigerator with icemaker, and more!

Sweet Meadow Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath cottage that sleeps 4 adults and up to 2 children. The cottage has two king bedrooms and a queen fold out sofa and twin bunk bed in the loft, all with cozy bedding, fluffy pillows and extra blankets for your comfort. The master king bedroom on the main level has a private en-suite bath with soaking tub and shower and Jack and Jill sinks. The upstairs king bedroom shares a hallway bath with the loft. The hallway bath has a combination tub/shower. On the main level there is a powder room.

The SweetGrass community has implemented thoughtful rental rules, including quiet hours, to protect community assets and maintain harmony in the community. You will be required to agree to, abide by and sign a copy of the rules as a part of the process of renting this home. The rules are there as much for your peace of mind as for the homeowners'.

This is the perfect home for a restful getaway, a writer's hideaway, an anniversary destination or a thoroughly romantic honeymoon. Your stay at Sweet Meadow Cottage is sure to be both memorable and enjoyable.
