The property owner responded every time I asked him something. The first night we arrived we were blessed to have a mama & her 3 bear cubs that were absolutely adorable. The mama bear was feet away from my wife & I. One of the cubs stuck his head on the deck. We got to watch them for about a half hour. We also seen more bears down the road. If you want to see bears this is the place. There is an arcade game & pool table that my teenagers loved. I would stay at this chalet again & would definitely recommend it."

The Bavarian Haus has been completely renovated and tastefully decorated with rustic mountain decor. The cabin features 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with a laundry closet and stackable washer and dryer. The open and airy living room and kitchen boasts a cathedral ceiling with skylights.

The Haus can accommodate 6 guests comfortably. The first bedroom has a large handmade Amish king bed, the second bedroom has queen over queen log bunk beds, and the upstairs sofa has a queen pull out bed.

- "Property was just secluded enough yet still a very short distance to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. The grandkids, age 8 to 19, made daily use of the splash, pool, hot tub and basketball hoop. Accommodations were just as described. I am an avid reader, but was unable to use the living room for reading comfortably, and I’d suggest The addition of a table or floor lamp. That would have made this day perfect for me!" - "There is so much to say about this property. The location was perfect, we were able to walk downtown and the grocery store is just a short drive up the road. The home was spacious with plenty of seating and sleeping areas. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary cooking equipment we needed and the bar between the kitchen and dining area was perfect for serving buffet style with my large family. Having 8 people in the house, I wish the washer and dryer were bigger, but we managed and I was able to not come home with all the laundry dirty. I also found a broom and vacuum to help keep things tidy during our stay, and a pack and play style crib for those who may need that. The beds were comfortable and clean. Outside surpassed my expectations. The splash pool was larger than I expected, clean and my family really enjoyed relaxing there. The hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed late evenings there when the outdoor lighting would come on. The deck seating was enjoyable and the views were beautiful. The only thing my family found missing was an outdoor dining area, that would have been a great addition."

The spacious well-appointed 3-bedroom 🛌🛌🛌(2 kings, 1 queen) 2 bath 🛀🛀 property is above The Little Pigeon Forge River with a slight incline leading up to the retreat but is within walking 🚶distance to Gatlinburg! Up to two dogs per reservation are allowed for an additional fee of $200 and 50 lbs max per dog. Must be house trained and go to the bathroom outside, pick up ALL poop outside, absolutely not allowed on any of the furniture, must be leashed at all times the yard is not fenced, and if left alone must be kenneled inside the property never left alone outside.

Honey Hive Hideaway is more than a rental — it’s our family’s passion project. Over three years of remodeling during the Covid years, with the help of our 8 teenagers, we transformed this cottage into a warm, eco-conscious retreat.

90% of salvageable materials were recycled back into the remodel.

Locally sourced lumber was used for the handmade porch decking.

The cabin is energy-efficient while retaining a rustic, cottage feel.

The downsides are minimal… There is not a dishwasher or a hair dryer. Only salt and pepper no cooking oil or other spices. No tinfoil plastic wrap or parchment paper. No pot holder for pulling things from the oven. There is a washer and dryer but no detergent. No sponge provided for washing dishes but did provide a dish rag and dish soap. None of these small things would deter us from going back. I would love to stay at this rental again! Thank you for having us!"
