Pools & Club House
The pools of Chalet Village will open Memorial Day weekend. For the month of June the pools will be operating at 50% capacity. The tennis courts will be open as usual. The Fitness Center and Clubhouses will be closed. Towards the end of June Chalet Villages will reevaluate the situation and announce how they will proceed for the rest of the summer. We will update our site at that time.

This lovely chalet features 3 stories, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main and lower level bedrooms are welcoming and offer king sized beds and 32" Smart TV's. The bathrooms on these levels are shared with the common area. The main level bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and the lower level bathroom is equipped the a shower. Spiral upstairs to the special charm of the loft master suite and ensuite with bathtub. This delightful suite offers a king sized bed and 40" Smart TV.
As you go down to the lower level, who can ask for a better place to relax? The Hot Tub (for 6) , The Private Jacuzzi Room (for 2) or the Billiard room. The lower level also offers a full size washer and dryer.

Our guests will be able to enjoy the amenities of the Chalet Village Owner's Club. Come and relax in the 2 Lounge areas or enjoy the 58,000 gallon swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, a horseshoe pit or shuffleboard court. Children aged 12 and under can have fun in the enclosed play area. What to stay indoors? Have a fantastic time in the game room which is equipped with billiard, ping pong and foosball tables. In addition there are other fun activities to choose from. Changing rooms, showers and a gym are also available. You must bring your own towel! Drink and concessions are available during operating hours.

The lower level provides a romantic setting for two: Watch your favorite movies from the comfortable king size log bed on the 50 inch flat screen TV above a second cozy gas fireplace (operational October-March). There is a lower deck off the bedroom area where you will enjoy spending time in the inviting hot tub while viewing the lights of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge by night and the aerial tram and beautiful mountain views by day.

You can plan a private cookout for two on the park-style charcoal grill located near the entry of the chalet and enjoy your meal on the porch surrounded by the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you choose to go out for dinner, you will find excellent dining choices just a few miles down the mountain in downtown Gatlinburg or at Ober Mountain Ski Resort. You may choose to drive a very short distance and park at Ober Mountain and ride the Aerial Tram down the mountain to dine or shop in the many unique shops downtown. Above it all is a 2 bed, 2 bath luxury chalet with a feel of the Smokies. All new appliances and furniture along with new beds/mattresses. The kitchen is well stocked for our guests. Our property is thoroughly inspected after each booking. Nice views from the spacious deck will make it hard to spend time indoors with a new grill and gas fireplace.We are dog friendly (no cats) and the fee is $80 per stay. This 3 level A-Frame is located 1.5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and Ober Mountain Ski Resort and sits at the end of a cul-de-sac. From the parking area at #20 Bear Crossing, you cross a ramp to the front door of the main level into the living room that boasts a wood burning fireplace, Cable TV, WIFI, an open dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a bedroom on this level with a King size bed with TV and a hallway bath. The lower level of the house has two bedrooms each with a queen size bed, full bath in hallway, recreation room with cable TV, wood burning fireplace, pool table and access to lower level deck with a hot tub. From the main level there is a spiral staircase that leads to the open loft area which has a Queen size bed and a 1/2 bath .This unit does not have a washer/dryer. THIS CHALET DOES NOT ALLOW PETS!! If you bring a pet you will be asked to leave with no refund. THIS UNIT DOES HAVE WIFI. Smoking is not allowed in the unit. Please smoke outside. If you smoke inside, you will be charged a $200 fee. This chalet only sleeps 8 people, due to fire codes we CAN NOT put more than 8 in unit, children under 3 may be allowed as they can share a bed with parents but limited to 2 children. Winter Weather Warning: The elevation at Bear Crossing is nearly the same as the lodge at nearby Ober Mountain Ski Resort. In case of inclement winter weather, 4 wheel drive and/or chains are advised. We recommend checking the weather and webcam at Ober Mountain Ski Resort to determine the weather conditions here. The City of Gatlinburg does an excellent job of keeping the roads open in winter, but in case of heavy snowfall, it may take a day or more to make the roads safe for travel. When staying here in the winter, it is advised that you bring extra supplies just in case.

BEDROOM

On the main floor, you’ll find a spacious primary bedroom with an en suite bathroom for ultimate privacy. The bedroom has a plush king-sized bed complete with extra soft linens. The room also comes fitted with a smart TV, a large closet, window blinds and a ceiling fan.

Downstairs, the game room has a bunk bed with queen-size mattresses perfect for both kids and adults. There is also a queen-size pull out sofa for extra sleeping space when needed.

There is also a Pack n’ Play/travel crib so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. Please bring your own sheets.

BATHROOMS

The bathroom on the main floor is en suite to a primary bedroom and contains a shower. There is access from the living area as well. The downstairs bath is a half bath. Both bathrooms are stocked with hand soap and the shower is stocked with an all in one -shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There is a hair dryer and first aid kit in the main floor bathroom for your convenience.

Bears:
- It is not uncommon to see a bear on the road leading up to the property. Please do not try to get close or feed the bear. We also suggest to keep the property door and car doors locked at all times to ensure you don't get any unwelcomed visitors.

Critters:
- Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies. We maintain the property with monthly pests control. However, you may still see some bugs and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes.

Weather:
- No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage.

Internet/ TV:
- We have Wi-Fi set up at the cabin. All TV's are Smart TVs so you can login to all of your favorite streaming platforms.

Starter Pack:
- We provide a starter pack consisting of:

The Lodge at Ski Mountain is a historic A-frame cabin set in the middle of Chalet Village. As part of one of the original cabin communities built in the Gatlinburg area, The Lodge provides a rustic feel with modern, updated decor and appliances and convenient access to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Whether it's a weekend away with the family, or a romantic couple's weekend, you'll love the massive stacked stone fireplace. The home has hardwood floors and original tongue and groove walls. The kitchen has been updated with stainless steel appliances and a convection oven.

For winter stays: While there is central heat in the cabin, it is a 60-year old cabin and the extreme colds in the mountains can make it chilly (think 62-65 degrees) in the cabin. We recommend all guests in the winter to bring an extra blanket and be sure to build a fire! It helps with heating the large, open main living room.

There are several additional blankets available in the downstairs armoire, but when the weather dips into the single digits, it never hurts to have an extra blanket! A space heater is also available in the downstairs bedroom closet.

However, we do not charge more for weekends like most vacation rentals and hotels do! ALL other rate reduction requests are considered generic, reported as SPAM, blocked from the system, and deleted with no reply. Accordingly, we kindly ask all travelers to please respect our very competitive posted rates.

^LOCATION: This cabin is located on Shields View Drive. For obvious privacy/security/safety reasons, we never disclose the street number to strangers over the Internet. It is, of course, disclosed by Airbnb after each paid booking and is specified on the Rental Agreement. Please look up distances/mileages to points of personal interest {downtown strip, restaurants, shops, attractions, buildings, parks, hiking/ski trails, etc.} from the property's road. We are just not able to provide these types of personalized services, due to the high volume of requests we receive daily from potential guests. Your understanding is appreciated.

Please note that since the chalet is situated part way up a mountain, a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle is recommended when using the main/West Loop Road entrance, particularly during snowy weather. We cannot be sure about any other type of vehicle {too many variables such as age/weight/gears/HP}, so please refrain from asking us. Many of our guests just rent an appropriate vehicle for the mountains if they do not have access to one. The secondary/Loop Road entrance does not require any special vehicle. The property is located within Gatlinburg city limits, so its PAVED roads get plowed on a regular basis when it snows! Sorry, EV charging is not permitted at this property. Please look up closest locations.

This is for your own protection and will assure that you have a great, hassle-free, and SAFE vacation.

OCCUPANCY: The posted non-negotiable 8 person maximum that this property sleeps/allows {per fire code} obviously includes children of ALL ages and your initial inquiry must include them in the total number of guests. If your group will exceed this limit, you will need to book a different property or book an additional property. Please be aware that there are, of course, exterior cameras surrounding the property that document the ingress/egress of all occupants/pets. There are 2 full bathrooms. Master bathroom has a soaker tub and a separate shower. Guest bathroom has a shower with 2 shower heads. Inside the guest bathroom you will also find a brand-new full capacity washer / dryer combo. Both bedrooms and loft have 55" Smart TVs. Living room has a 75" smart tv mounted on a beautiful stone electric LED fireplace wall, as well as a dedicated 55" Smart TV with game consoles for the kids. Enjoy a large kitchen with duo coffee makers (pod / drip), 2 instant pots, air fryer, mixer, blender, and much more. Each sleeping area has its on heat source (fireplace / portable heater) in addition to the central air / heater so you can adjust your own sleeping temperature (some people are hot sleepers and some prefer cooler sleeping temperatures). SunDancer was built in 2021 with all the upgrades and amenities to make your stay comfortable including 2 hot tubs and a propane fire pit. One of the hot tubs along with the fire pit is located right outside the sliding door leading to the master bedroom, perfect for romantic evenings. The second hot tub is located near the dinning / living room sliding door. The balcony runs the full length of the chalet boasting amazing mountain views! We also provide a propane grill located on the balcony for easy fast meals. We have just remodeled the driveway making it easier to access the chalet. SunDancer Chalet is 3 miles away from Ober Gatlinburg for those who enjoy spending the afternoon skiing, ice skating, ice bumper cars in the winter and tubing in the summer. From Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day you can enjoy any of the 3 club houses located in Chalet Village (pictures are provided in our listing). Each clubhouse is unique and kids often love to explore all of them. Welcome to Theo's Treehouse, a Cozy Mountain Cabin located just a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the heart of downtown Gatlinburg. With 1,600 square feet of living space, this cabin offers a peaceful retreat for your next vacation. The cabin features one bedroom and two bathrooms. There is a king bed in the upstairs bedroom along with queen bunks and queen pullout sofa in the downstairs game room, making it the perfect spot for a small family or group of friends.

The space
Theo's Treehouse has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Relax in the outdoor hot tub on one of the two large decks while listening to the sounds of the nearby hidden creek that runs through the property. The cabin's rustic yet modern style provides a perfect ambiance for a mountain getaway. You'll find a fully stocked kitchen for preparing your favorite meals and a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Our cabin offers unique amenities such as an electric vehicle charging station, high-speed WiFi, and smart TVs for your convenience and entertainment. The cabin also includes a game room with activities for all ages.

THE DETAILS:

BEDROOM

On the main floor, you’ll find a spacious primary bedroom with an en suite bathroom for ultimate privacy. The bedroom has a plush king-sized bed complete with extra soft linens. The room also comes fitted with a smart TV, a large closet, window blinds and a ceiling fan.

Downstairs, the game room has a bunk bed with queen-size mattresses perfect for both kids and adults. There is also a queen-size pull out sofa for extra sleeping space when needed.

There is also a Pack n’ Play/travel crib so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. Please bring your own sheets.

BATHROOMS

The bathroom on the main floor is en suite to a primary bedroom and contains a shower. There is access from the living area as well. The downstairs bath is a half bath. Both bathrooms are stocked with hand soap and the shower is stocked with an all in one -shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There is a hair dryer and first aid kit in the main floor bathroom for your convenience.

KITCHEN & LIVING AREAS

Enjoy a home cooked meal in the luxurious kitchen, equipped with everything you’ll need to make all your favorite meals, including Samsung electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, cooking basics & utensils, fridge and freezer. Stay energized during your stay with a cup of coffee or tea.

From the kitchen, the open layout seamlessly leads into an elegant dining area. With seating for 6, everyone can sit down to enjoy a delicious meal while admiring the stunning views through the large light-filled windows.

The main floor living area is the perfect place to spend quality time. Sit back on the sofa and watch a show on the 55" smart TV. While relaxing, bask in the ambiance of the electric fireplace and high ceilings, providing plenty of light for a bright and sunny stays.

Ready to have some fun? Make your way downstairs, where you’ll find a large game room that also serves as a theater with its 75" smart TV. The game room has a skeeball table, board games and puzzles.

For added convenience especially during long stays, there is a front loading washer and dryer in the laundry room. An iron and ironing board is also provided.

As our guest, you can enjoy access to the entire cabin. This includes the hot tub, 2 spacious decks, electric fireplace, Skee Ball table, family-friendly games, full kitchen, brand new washer and dryer, 3 smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi and free parking with EV charging.

You will also have access to the clubhouse neighborhood pool and tennis courts.
