Our home has many amenities that are focused around creating a family friendly ski trip!

The master bedroom, which has a gorgeous slope view, a private bathroom and a king bed, is on the upper floor. There are also 2 other bedrooms with king beds on the upper floor and a bathroom. The main floor has a large dining area, a full kitchen, half bath and a living area. A room with one bunk bed is also located on this floor. The lower level has one bedroom with a king bed and one bedroom with 2 sets of bunks. A ski room is on the back of the house which makes it easy to ski in and ski out! It is currently under renovation but will have a boot dryer, plenty of hooks and cubbies for all your skiing needs!

Cellular service is very limited on the mountain, so please connect to the Wi-fi. upon arrival and switch phone to Wi-Fi calling to receive all calls and text messages.

Welcome to The Lookout on Snowshoe. This beautiful five bedroom, 2600 sqft home has a wide open floor plan great for entertaining and multi-family groups. With three levels atop Snowshoe Mountain, this west facing home has stunning views of the valley from its double level deck. It is beautiful all year long, and each season produces its own version of the breathtaking view! Park your car in the driveway and walk or take the free shuttle anywhere on the mountain.

We think the house is most comfortable with 12 people, but if you don't mind being cozy, it can sleep up to 18.

Sit on either level of the large decks with mountain views and soak in the incredible sights. There's nearly always deer, you can hear and see our little stream most of the year, and we've even seen a few black bears! Relax on the outdoor sofa by the fire pit and make s'mores, sit at the outdoor table to enjoy your morning coffee, or soak in our new, 6 person hot tub while you take in the unbeatable sunset. If the weather keeps you indoors, we have a gas fireplace in the main floor living room that makes the space incredibly cosy to curl up in and watch Netflix, read a book, or play a game.

For indoor entertainment, we have a ton of board games - if we're missing one you love let us know! We have Catan, codenames, monopoly, scrabble, chess, jenga, sorry, clue, and obviously a standard pack of playing cards. There are five TVs with Rokus (bring your own streaming account log ins!), two in the living areas and three in bedrooms, a Sonos speaker, reading areas with books for both adults and kids, and a foosball table.

You won't want for things to do when at home, however Snowshoe has so much to offer just outside your door. The skiing and snowboarding are famous for good reason, and other winter activities include night skiing and tubing at Silver Creek. There are incredible hiking trails on over 11,000 acres - see if you can find Narnia! Take a dip at Split Rock Pools, or Shaver's Lake is just at the bottom of Ballhooter lift and has a beach, regular and standing paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, and inflatables. There are playgrounds, disc golf, lovely hiking trails and a restaurant. The area is also famous for its mountain bike trails, with lessons for beginners. There are scenic lift rides, horseback riding, fishing, yoga, a bike park and off road 4 wheelers to rent. Raven golf club is just down the road for any avid golfers. Please note the pool in the listing refers to the communal pools at Split Rock, available with a Fun Pass or $15 per person/per day.

We aim for the kitchen to be as well stocked as possible with anything you might need. We have basic spices, olive oil, coffee and creamer, as well as a Keurig, coffee pot, toaster oven and normal toaster. There is a gas grill on the upper deck for your use as well, we just ask that you clean it afterwards. We kept Thanksgiving in mind when accounting for cookware, and we have one large and three small crock pots to make your life as easy as possible - spend the day on the mountain and come home to a hot dinner for the whole group. The kitchen area seats large groups - the table seats 10, there is a high top for two, the island has stools for four, and the upper deck has a little two person table that can come inside if needed as well.

Please note that Snowshoe is in a quiet zone, so cell service is not great anywhere on the mountain. To combat this, we've ensured we have the best wifi available on the mountain - a 100 mbps package. To avoid issues with checking in, it may be beneficial to download your map before you get on the mountain (though there is good signage), and make a note of the door code and wifi password. There is a ring doorbell camera, aimed at the driveway. There are no cameras inside the house.

- On-Call Van. The on-call van service is GREAT! Just call them and they'll arrive in about 5-10 minutes at the end of the driveway and take you to various slopes or Snowshoe Village. Call them from your cell or ask any merchant to call the van for you to be taken back to Montreux. The Van runs from 8am-midnight weekdays and 8am to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Montreux uses professional cleaning and maintenance services to ensure your stay is exceptional. All linens and towels are professionally sanitized after each guest departure. The hot tub is cleaned and serviced by a professional, trained technician after every stay. A local care-taker is available to address any maintenance issues that arise during your stay.
- Easy Access. Most homes at Snowshoe have steep driveways that can be a challenge even for four-wheel-drive vehicles. At Montreux, the driveway has a modest slope that is maintained by a plowing service. Front-wheel drive vehicles are usually ok, but if we get a big snow, getting anywhere on the mountain will be a challenge without all-wheel drive.

- "Thought I’d take a chance on this house since it has good ratings on other sites. Certainly seems the host has all the issues from last winter taken care of. The house was very clean and the fridge worked fine. The hot tub was great for a cool night after riding. Proximity to the western territory trails was super convenient. Plenty of parking for our group of 10 and plenty of lounging space around the house. Wifi is fast and reliable. The shuttle showed up in about 5 minutes any time we called and runs till 2am, so no designated driver required! Ashley was easy to reach and gave us a ton of good information before we got there. Overall we had a great time and are seriously considering this house as our annual winter vacation spot!"

First Floor:
As you enter the unit, you will be greeted by a mud room for all your ski gear. As you continue into the unit, you'll find the completely renovated, open-concept kitchen built to handle just about anything you can cook up! The large island includes seating for 6 and custom butcher block countertops. Heated flooring through-out the unit will provide a perfect ambient temperature. To the right is the first queen bedroom with an adjacent full bath, including a fabulous custom tile shower! The heated floors continue into the living area that includes a gas fireplace, custom West Elm couch, bike storage in the summer months and a brand new front loading w/d under the steps. Out the sliding glass door is a small patio with bench seating and easy access to the western territory!
Second Floor:
Upstairs you will find the loft area, complete with a twin over full bunk bed. The master bedroom is gigantic with a king bed, chaise lounge sofa, coffee bar and private balcony. The adjoining bathroom includes a custom tile shower and heated flooring as well.
Parking is free inside the gated Powder Monkey community. You will first need to enter the unit using the provided key code and inside the unit you will find 2 gate keys to gain entry to the parking lot. Please don't leave vehicles unattended in nearby lots or on the road for more than 10 min.

Location couldn not be beat....right at the Powder Monkey lift (which for us was where the Downhill Southeast race took place so we had a birds eye view), next door to some restaurants and very easy walk to village. The owner really takes the time to think of the little things that make it a great vacation rental....we will definitely be staying here again!"

Snowshoe Mountain is one of the premier ski resort on the east coast and Ikon Pass friendly. The Resort is located on top of the mountain and so is our property. All ski slopes and mountain biking runs are walkable from the property. Please see the "getting around" tab. Snowshoe Village is an Aspen inspired downtown area that is central to the resort, which includes restaurants, retail shops and many more. The many activities in Snowshoe include: Skiing, Snowboarding, tubing, downhill skiing, uphill skiing, Snowmobiling, Adventure dining, Sleigh rides, Indoor/outdoor heated pool/sauna/hot tubs. Don't forget about Silver Creek Terrain park. All activities can be done during day or night.

2-minute walk to the western side of Snowshoe Resort Ski slopes.
3-minute walk to the main or eastern side of Snowshoe Ski slopes and some restaurants.
8-minute walk or 2-minute drive to Snowshoe Resort Village.
There is a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes during the winter season from the end of this properties road to the village and back.

- On-Call Van. The on-call van service is GREAT! Just call them and they'll arrive in about 5-10 minutes at the end of the driveway and take you to various slopes or Snowshoe Village. Call them from your cell or ask any merchant to call the van for you to be taken back to Montreux. The Van runs from 8am-midnight weekdays and 8am to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Montreux uses professional cleaning and maintenance services to ensure your stay is exceptional. All linens and towels are professionally sanitized after each guest departure. The hot tub is cleaned and serviced by a professional, trained technician after every stay. A local care-taker is available to address any maintenance issues that arise during your stay.
- Easy Access. Most homes at Snowshoe have steep driveways that can be a challenge even for four-wheel-drive vehicles. At Montreux, the driveway has a modest slope that is maintained by a plowing service. Front-wheel drive vehicles are usually ok, but if we get a big snow, getting anywhere on the mountain will be a challenge without all-wheel drive.

If you want to ski from the house onto the Western Territory ski slopes, Shay's Revenge and Cupp Run, you will be entering the slope 150 yards down from the top, from the side, just walk on and go. When you get to the bottom you will need to already have a lift ticket to ride the lift back up. You will pass within 50' of the Chalet just before reaching the top. You can go back down the Western slopes or crossover to the slopes on the eastern side of the mountain, most of those slopes come up to the village, at the top. To return home, from the village, you can ride the shuttle or Ski down the east side to the bottom of the Powder Monkey ski lift, cross the road and ski down to the house on Shay's Revenge. The top is a blue slope, you only ski down for 150 yards. Novice skiers should be careful not to ski past the house. Mix it up, ride the shuttle from the house and ski home or ski from the house and ride the shuttle home or just ski all over the resort. WE HAVE A VERY STRICT CHECK-IN CHECK-OUT POLICY. The lower level has one bedroom with a king bed and one bedroom with 2 sets of bunks. A ski room is on the back of the house which makes it easy to ski in and ski out! It is currently under renovation but will have a boot dryer, plenty of hooks and cubbies for all your skiing needs!

Cellular service is very limited on the mountain, so please connect to the Wi-fi. upon arrival and switch phone to Wi-Fi calling to receive all calls and text messages.

Other things to note
All guests have access to amenities at the Village including the pool (with a fee per day). Restaurants are located at the Village along with a variety of shops. There is a small local grocery store with only essential items available.

During winter months you have access to skiing/snowboarding at Snowshoe and Silver Creek, ski lessons, ice skating, tubing at Silver Creek, snow mobile excursions and horse drawn carriage sleigh rides to name a few.

You'll have use of the entire house which includes 9 bedrooms, 6 full baths, two living areas, two kitchens, two decks, a hot tub, and 2 acres of woodland.
Montreux is a short distance to Shey's Revenge (8/10ths mi) and Top of the World (1/2 mi). The on-call van will scoot you to either spot in minutes, or you can walk if you prefer. Montreux uses professional cleaning and maintenance services to ensure your stay is exceptional. All linens and towels are professionally sanitized after each guest departure. The hot tub is cleaned and serviced by a professional, trained technician after every stay. A local care-taker is available to address any maintenance issues that arise during your stay.
- Easy Access. Most homes at Snowshoe have steep driveways that can be a challenge even for four-wheel-drive vehicles. At Montreux, the driveway has a modest slope that is maintained by the county right up to the front door. Front-wheel drive vehicles are usually ok, but if we get a big snow, getting anywhere on the mountain will be a challenge without all-wheel drive.
- Parking: you can fit 8 cars in two rows of four.
