- "great property at beech mtn and truly ski in/ski out, located at the top of the beginner slope. a very nicely laid out property with plenty of room for the 8 people in our party. the kitchen was well equipped. nice patios on all levels of the property, to watch your crew on the slopes. the "ski-in" is only if you get to the lift on the beginner slope before it closes , otherwise your hoofing it up the beginner slope, which isn't the end of the world at all. also, the stairs in the home, are fairly steep- safe but it may be difficult for some to manage. it was a great place for us. would love to visit again soon."

Location, Location, Location! This spacious 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home is located 0.25 miles past the entrance to Ski Beech. We are the second parking area past the entrance and about 1 mile from the Beech Mountain Club -swim, golf, and tennis areas. In the winter months, enjoy amazing views of the surrounding mountains. In the summer relax in the swinging chairs and outdoor furniture on the decks surrounded by nature or have outdoor fun with the Beech Club Membership (additional fees apply, check club website).

This is Moody’s Mountain house! The floor plan is perfect for accommodating families. With over 1,680 square feet, our home has four bedrooms:
BR1: one King with private full bath and access to lower covered balcony via sliding glass door, cable TV
BR2: one Queen access to lower covered balcony via sliding glass door, Smart Tv with Hulu and Disney+
BR3: one twin and one full; Smart Tv with Hulu and Disney+
BR4: two separate twin beds; Smart Tv with Hulu and Disney+
All of the bedrooms are located on the same floor, which is the lower level of the house accessed by a spiral staircase. The master suite and the queen room both have sliding glass doors with access to the lower level balcony. We also have a washer and dryer on the bedroom level.

The main floor has an open floor plan with two more large sliding glass doors which includes a large living room with a stone gas fireplace, dining room, a well-equipped large kitchen with very large breakfast bar, and a half bath. Wood Decking surrounds the house on the upper level and the lower level is half around on the wooded side of the property. WiFi is provided in the house.

We have two parking areas with enough parking for 5 cars; one area is on the paved road and the other is at the bottom of the property with manmade steps up to the house (they are very neat). Everyone that has come into our house has said that they feel like they are in a tree house. We have hired the best cleaning team on the mountain to make sure that your stay is comfortable and relaxing.

We are conveniently located on Beech Mountain Parkway near Fred’s, sledding hills, ski rentals, and everything Ski Beech. Beech Mountain offers numerous year-round activities. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, ice skating and sledding (home includes several sleds). In the warmer months, enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, fishing and white water rafting.

This home is remarkably located close to everything Beech Mountain has to offer, but has the added bonus of being very private and secluded on your own mountain top at 4100+ feet on 1.5 acres! The home offers stunning panoramic mountain and valley views year round. This home is 1702 sq. ft. was built in the 70's and updated and expanded in the 90's, that doesn't take away from the comforts and amenities we've put into this older house to make your stay enjoyable! It has three (3) bedrooms (K (MBR has new King bed frame and Molecule mattress in 2020), Q, Q) all with black-out curtains and their own TVs/Blu-ray players, 2 full baths, and a pull-out couch with full mattress, sleeping 8+ people. It is a great all year round Mountain getaway to unwind and relax over the fabulous mountain and valley views. Other highlights of this home are large decks with outdoor furniture and a gas grill. There is an outdoor table with 5 chairs for outdoor dining or relaxing. The living room has a new game reclining couch (2020). This home is easily accessible with plenty of parking that easily fits 4+ cars. There are spots in front of the house and garage as well as an adjacent lot to the left of the home facing the mountain. This home has the exclusive Beech Mountain Club Membership. There is a game room setup in the garage with a Billiard table and Table Tennis (not professional grade - just family fun :)). The Garage also contains a basic powered treadmill for your use.

Everything in the home has lots of upgrades! Our home has super fast Enhanced Fiber-Optic Broadband speed internet (WiFi), 4 SMART HDTV flat screens in every room (55” in living area, 50" in primary bedroom and 32” in all other bedrooms) with 4 Blu-ray/DVD players. Although there are 1 king, 2 queen beds and a full sized pull-out couch to accommodate 8 people sharing, we do allow you to bring your own air-beds or sleeping bags to accommodate a maximum of ten (10) people in the home. The home is one level for easy access to all living spaces, but with plenty of privacy.

We do allow a well behaved potty-trained dog. However, crating your dog is required if they are left alone in our home, whether in your own crate, or gated into the kitchen (non-carpeted) area. There is a nominal fee per dog. You must get pet pre-approved and click pet when booking. There is a dog park near-by.
There are three parking areas for plenty of space to accommodate vehicles. At least 2 can fit in front of the house, 2 in front of the garage, and 2-3 at the left side lot (NOTE: During the winter when there is snow accumulation on the ground, only the front of the house will be accessible for parking unless you notify me you need the driveway plowed prior to your stay and make necessary arrangements beforehand).

The advantage of the Octagon shaped house makes you feel you are part of the outdoors.
The kitchen comes well equipped with refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, Keurig, coffee percolators (plug-in and stove top) and plenty of cooking pots, pans, dishes and glasses of all types. Each bath has a dual shower heads. The house has HE front loading washer and dryer and a sewing machine on site. There is ample deck-space outside with furniture and a gas grill. Even when it rains or snows, you can enjoy the main deck section as the ceiling of the deck is covered in addition to being nicely wooded and private.

Our home is less than 2 miles from the Beech Mountain Ski Resort parking lot. Enjoy a few days away at our stylish cabin on Beech Mountain! Centrally-located within minutes from the Club, the slopes, restaurants and great trails! The 3 bedrooms all have King size beds and a private bathroom. One bedroom is downstairs and has a door to the outside. It also has its own fireplace and Smart TV! The other two bedrooms are upstairs on either side of the living room. They both have Roku tvs and a Mountain View. The deck runs along the back of the house with entry from the upstairs. There is a lounge area on the deck. This makes for a great outdoor grilling and dining experience and a nice place to watch the sunset!

The chalet features a back deck complete with gas grill and smoker. It boasts a wooded view that changes with the seasons. There are 2 decks; 1 large deck in the back and a second in the front with great bird watching views. There is all kids of wildlife in this area.

The house contains a flat parking area right off of Pine Ridge Rd and is easily accessible even in wintery conditions. However, it can be very optimal and encouraged to have AWD or 4x4 just to navigate around the Beech Mountain area if there is potential for a winter storm.

Camera 1 is located by the front door and faces away from the house towards the stairs leading down to the house, camera 2 is located on the back deck facing out across the back door, and camera 3 is located by the basement entrance. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras may record video and/or sound while guests are in residence, however the two upper-level cameras are turned off 1 hour after check-in and turned back on 1 hour prior to check out.

Our cozy Beech Mountain Chalet is located on a paved, snow plowed, and quiet street only 3 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort which is amazing fun in Winter for Skiing and Snow Boarding, and also excellent for downhill mountain biking in Summer, or for simply enjoying the sunsets from 5606 Bar at the peak of Beech Mountain. We are also located in the midst of countless hiking trails and just 1 mile from the Buckeye Lake Recreation area, which is open the public offering tennis courts, a fitness center, playground, and many other amenities.
This cabin has a wonderful cozy fireplace, a large wraparound deck with seasonal views, and everything you need for a fun getaway in the moutains with your family and friends. Two private bedrooms are located on the main floor as well as both full bathrooms, the third bedroom is a loft that includes a large upstairs space with 1 queen bed and two twin beds, great for kids! The Kitchen offers a full set of utensils, dishes, and appliances including dishwasher, full size oven, beverage fridge, toaster oven, regular #4 filter style coffee maker, and more. There is a gas grill and outdoor fire pit as well if the weather permits. This is a wonderful place to visit in Summer as the elevation is around 4000 feet and the temperatures are typically very comfortable especially at nights, although the house does have air conditioning for those hotter days too. There are numerous wineries and breweries and other sites to see in the area that are a lot of fun to tour and taste, so come stay at this wonderful retreat, I know you will enjoy it!

- "Recovery from the Fall 2024 storm will be a challenge for Beech Mountain, but when it happens, this amazing cabin is a perfect launching spot for summer hiking! The Wild Iris Trail is just below the property and the woods overlooking that trail from the large deck are beautiful. Deer visit several times a day, and bear also stop by for visits - stealthy creatures who are there more often than you know. Grassy Gap Creek Trail, and the new Owl Prowl meanders off Grassy Gap (designed for mountain bikes) are close by. Until the trails are fully restored, the gravel roads to the trails are also good hikes. Our plan to stay from early July 2024 through late October was cut short, but we’ll be back. And Beech Mountain will be back. Come see it! And stay in this sweet A-frame, right on Pine Ridge with a very private deck. Bonus: the residents nearby are very helpful, welcoming and supportive. Thank-you to all the community."

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and countertops, a ceramic stovetop and includes modern conveniences such as dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker (makes a full pot or K-cups), coffee grinder, blender and toaster. The comfortable living room has a large wood burning fireplace for cozy evenings around the fire. Large windows provide natural light and a beautiful wooded view to watch the deer and raccoons who daily pass in the wooded area front of our home. Hang out on our deck and grill out on our gas grill and enjoy the wooded view and wildlife. We are approximately one mile from Ski Beech.

The Space:
Hello! Welcome to our little Beech Mountain, NC Funkadelic Hideaway Chalet! Let me give you the skinny on this 1973 Bertoli and Brady octagon pedestal kit home. You’ll go back in time to this homage to the 70’s ski chalet lifestyle! With 3 acres to explore and plenty of games, puzzles, and other distractions, any group will think it is “Dy-no-mite” without being over the top. The openness and brightness of the space is Far Out! Floor to ceiling glass all around may scare some, but the privacy of the 3 acres and curtains should calm any prude. Enjoy the entire space with period touches everywhere you look. There is a spiral staircase from the lower entry to the main living area that might not be suitable for children that aren’t watched or that are younger than 2 years old.

There is a queen bed in either of the bedrooms and a full pull out couch to choose from for sleeping. Heating blankets are on both beds, so try no to use the corner wall heaters as much as possible. The two corner wall heaters in the kitchen and living room will make the home warm quickly, but try not to leave them on the entire time you are at the property and turn them off when you leave. HVAC will be installed this summer 2020 to be more environmentally and pocketbook friendly.

Much of the Mid-Century Modern furniture, art, knickknacks, games, etc. have been modernized to better suit todays discerning appetites with wifi, keyless wifi door lock, usb outlets, smart switches, an Alexa Echo, LED lighting, and smart TV in the living room. Some however, could not be modernized. With the original kitchen, there are amazing and irreplaceable Avocado appliances. While the range and hood are working, the dishwasher is only for show and has been rendered inoperable. There is a small charcoal grill on the lower deck that can be used if you are knowledgeable in its operation. The same goes for the Buck Stove in the living room and fire pit to the left of the home. Please be careful with their use and please bring your own wood or replace the wood that you use from our pile under the home. Fire should never be left unattended or played with by children.

Beech Mountain never gets warmer than 78 degrees Fahrenheit, so make sure you bring warm clothing no matter when you visit. The 3 acres is a fun place for kids to explore and there are Gnome homes built by our children to be discovered. The bottom of the valley below the property is a natural spring that can get mucky, but flows after a good rain.

Whatever the weather, there is fun to be had at the property or in the surrounding areas. With skiing, tubing, ice skating, snowboarding, sledding, snowball fighting and even hiking in the snow, Winter is a great time to visit. If you come for the spring, summer, or fall; mountain biking (using the ski lifts to the top of the mountain), a brand new Alpine Roller coaster, hiking trails (Emerald Outback), swimming lakes, fishing, gem mining, waterfalls, tons of golfing, or just plain relaxing while the kids explore.

Lean in to the joy and solitude located on city maintained gravel roads that are rarely impassable after even larger snow falls. Restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and everything you could want are within 10 minutes of the home, but bring some groceries and the essentials. We have a community sharing stance on our personal ski chalet, so feel free to leave unopened foods and condiments to be used by the following guests. In turn, feel free to enjoy (or not enjoy) the condiments and other foods left in the home. Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Gel, and Cocoa Butter lotion are complimentary and available in the bathrooms. If you need anything, please let us know and we can direct you to where to find it!

Buckeye Recreation Center is home to awesome pet-friendly trails that you can explore with your pooch. The Buckeye Lake Park's trails offer picnic shelters, fishing, boating, a campfire area, and picnic spots. Buckeye Recreation Center can be accessed Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 7:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

It offers 17 slopes and 95 skiable acres with a vertical drop of 830 feet. Beech Mountain has 84 inches of annual snow fall per year. Snowmaking 100% of slope coverage.

The snow tubing park operates out of the Alpine Village at the ski resort and provides 700 foot runs with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The tubing park has a magic carpet lift that carries tubers back to the top. ***weather permitting***

Rental Agreement:
This agreement constitutes a contract between the Vacation Rental GUEST(S) and OWNER. Please read this Vacation Rental Lease Agreement thoroughly. Any money received by owner for occupancy of vacation property indicates the acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Vacation Rental Lease Agreement. It is the responsibility of the GUEST(S) to be familiar with all policies within this agreement. This occupancy will be in the form of a Vacation Rental only and not constitute a permanent or primary residence or other tenancy.

These terms and Conditions clarify The OWNER’S obligations to the GUEST, the GUEST’S obligations to the OWNERS, and in the very unlikely event of any disputes, will be used as the basis for any resolution. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

TERM OF LEASE: The lease begins at 4p.m. EST on the agreed upon “Check-in Date” and ends at 10a.m. EST on the agreed upon “Check-out Date”.

PAYMENTS: A Reservation will be confirmed by The OWNER once the application has been approved and full payment has been processed. In the event of a reservation not being accepted by the OWNER, all fees paid will be refunded immediately. No reservation may commence without full payment being cleared.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of overnight guests for this property is limited to five (5) persons. Maximum occupancy for this property shall not exceed five (5) persons at any time. If GUEST exceeds the maximum occupancy, GUEST and any and all of their guests are subject to immediate removal and forfeiture of their security deposit and rental payment. Prior to arrival, the primary booking party will be required to provide a photocopy of a government issued ID and a list of guests who will be staying at the home.

CONDITION OF THE PROPERTY: The Property will have been inspected prior to occupation and therefore the GUEST undertakes to keep the Property and all furniture, fixtures, fittings, chattels and effects in or about the Property in the same state of repair and condition as found at the commencement of the Rental.

SMOKING: This is a NON SMOKING property. No smoking is allowed inside of the home whatsoever. Any GUEST or their guests not adhering to the No Smoking policy will result in automatic forfeiture of security deposit.

PETS: Pets are NOT ALLOWED

RENTAL RULES: GUEST agrees to abide by the house rules at all times while on the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else GUEST permits on the property to abide by the rules at all times while on the property.

Select a policy that meets and covers unexpected events to protect your personal goals and needs. We do not promote or endorse any particular coverage. We are not insurance agents nor licensed to sell insurance.

MAINTENANCE: It is expected that major systems in and around the condo will break down from time to time such as refrigerator, heater, etc. OWNER will attempt to repair the problem as soon as possible upon notice by the GUEST. OWNER assumes no liability to GUEST is such should occur as all products have a useful life and break down occasionally.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Under no circumstances shall any illegal drugs be allowed on the property. GUEST understands that possession and use of any such substance is grounds for immediate eviction and forfeiture of payment. GUEST further waives any and all rights to recourse against the OWNER for enforcing this clause.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES: All occupants are required to perform “normal” household duties that include, but not limited to *garbage removal* Cleaning of individual and guest dishes* Notifications to OWNER of any damages or problems with the property* Locking of all doors when GUEST leaves the condo unit.

HOUSEKEEPING: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Towels or linens may not be taken from the unit. Any garbage must be stowed in the proper garbage or recycling receptacle.

SUBLETTING/ASSIGNING/OCCUPANCY: There shall be no subletting of the premises. The GUEST shall occupy and use the premises as a vacation rental only and not use the premises for any business, professional, unlawful or hazardous purpose.

REPAIRS: The OWNER must be notified immediately if you discover any item that needs attention.

END OF TERM: At the end of the term, the GUEST shall leave the premises clean and in good condition, remove all GUEST property, and repair all unreasonable damages caused during their stay.

HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMINTY: OWNER of rental property shall not be liable for any damages and/or injury to GUEST and/or their guest(s), or their personal property due to GUEST’s acts, actions or neglect. GUEST agrees to hold OWNER harmless against any claim for damage and/or injury due to GUEST’s act or neglect or their guest’s acts or neglect.

GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY: The property is a privately owned home, and we enforce a good neighbor policy. Please treat the Property with the same care you would use with your own residence and leave it in the same condition it was in when you arrived. To prevent theft of or damage to furnishings or your personal property, you agree to close and lock doors and windows when you are not present at the Property and upon checkout. You and other Occupants agree to conduct yourselves throughout your stay in a manner that is respectful of and not disruptive to neighbors, traffic flow, or the community and that will not prompt complaints from police, neighbors, or neighborhood or POA. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10p.m. and 8a.m. You and other Occupants agree to abide by all applicable parking restrictions and limitations.

WEATHER/ACTS OF GOD: OWNER is not responsible for any weather conditions or acts of GOD or nature that happen during GUEST’s stay on premises and no refunds will be made.

ACCESS: GUEST agrees to allow access to the condo to OWNER and his agents upon 24 hours’ notice by telephone or in person. Agents include but are not limited to plumbers, electricians, pest inspections, etc. OWNER reserves the right to inspect the premises and condo interior upon 24 hours’ notice to GUEST. GUEST agrees not to deny access. If GUEST refuses to allow access to OWNER or any agent designated by OWNER, the OWNER reserves the right to terminate the GUEST’s vacation rental and GUEST will immediately vacate the premises upon demand by OWNER and will forfeit the rental payment.

SAFETY: GUEST acknowledges and agree that they are responsible for the safety of themselves, their guests and their children with respect to the deck areas and the premises. GUEST acknowledges and agrees to hold harmless from any injuries to them or their guests.

KEYS: I work on a keyless entry. You will be given a code prior to your stay. Guests are not to allow access to anyone not covered under this rental agreement.

LIABILITY: GUEST may be responsible and liable to OWNER for damages in excess of the security deposit for any damage or loss caused by GUEST or its guests.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: The GUEST represents, warrants, acknowledges and agrees with The OWNER that he/she will use the Property and its facilities in accordance with The Terms and Conditions above and the Information provided and that he/she does so at his/her own risk and that he/she indemnifies and saves The Owner harmless from any personal injury, sickness or death, loss or damage, however caused, to person or property of The GUEST, his/her family, or guests, before during or after the time of occupancy. Further, he/she accepts full responsibility for the use of the Property and any recreational equipment on the premises and agrees to pay for any damage of said equipment, other than for normal wear and tear.

Bright and updated three bedroom home with a gas fireplace on Beech mountain. Quiet neighborhood with some seasonal views. Just a few minutes away from the slopes and shops of Beech Mountain. Easy access driveway on a paved street. Relax on the back porch and dine while you listen to the brook below as you grill on the gas grill. TV's are in all the bedrooms for some private down time. Benzine Farm provides access to the best of Beech Mountain Winter and Summer. Benzine Farm is located in a cozy wooded setting with a circular driveway for easy access. It is less than a 5-minute drive to the ski slopes.

The space
The kitchen, dining, and living areas have an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling, a wall of windows, and a stone fireplace in the main living area. The home also has access from the parking area to the lower level where the king suite is located. Outside is a fire pit, a horseshoe pitch, and a cornhole game.

Beech Mountain Club: Guests with a reservation at Benzine Farm are eligible to apply for a membership transfer to the Beech Mountain Club (BMC) for the dates of the reservation.

- BMC policies apply to a membership transfer.
- Upon booking, guests will receive an email with instructions, the BMC transfer policies, and the transfer application. This must be submitted to the club by the guest at least 3 days prior to the transfer start date, which can be no sooner than your arrival date.
- A membership transfer fee starting at $300 is charged to the guest by BMC upon check-in at the club.
- Memberships start at the social level. Guests may upgrade membership with additional fees paid to BMC (see the BMC website for what is included with each level).
- Transfers are administered by BMC, which has no affiliation with Carolina Cabin Rentals.

This mountain house is situated on Beech Mountain Golf Course. During summer months, guests can play golf and access all of the other Beech Mountain Club facilities and activities. The Home:
Sip coffee on the peaceful back deck overlooking the golf course. There is a remote awning so you can still enjoy for those rainy days. The space
Have a unique stay in our tree house chalet on a serene wooded lot. Privacy & Location are ideal to all Beech Mountain has to offer (just over a mile from Beech Mountain Ski Resort). Paved driveway with parking for up to 8 vehicles (4-5 in upper driveway & 3 in lower driveway). LEVEL entry home with 6 beds (1 king, 3 queens, and a twin bunk bed) making Beech Haus the perfect family or friend getaway. Open floor plan & vaulted ceilings with wood beams. The floor to ceiling stone fireplace is the center point of the chalet & has a gas log fireplace w/ blower for additional heat on cool nights. Please note, stairwells in our chalet are slightly smaller than currently built homes, so please make note! They are wide enough to easily navigate and move luggage up and down safely.

Fully-equipped kitchen with all you need to prepare any size meal. We’ve tried to think through everything a guest could need or want from; free specialty coffee, snacks, basic spices, blender, Dutch oven, crock pot,and more.

The dining room is equipped with 8 chairs and a bench that can be pulled up for additional seating with large groups.

Main Floor:
In addition to the kitchen, dining & living room, there are 2 bedrooms (all with smart TV’s), 3 full bathrooms & washer / dryer (detergents and softener sheets provided).

Upstairs is a loft bedroom with vaulted ceilings & wood beams. Equipped with a king size bed, extra sitting area, premium linens & mattress, with extra pillows and blankets for guests to access.

The lower level has a large bedroom with full bathroom and a separate entry to the outside. There is a queen size bed, shuffle board, smart Tv, and twin bunk bed.

Exterior:
Step outside for more adventure. Groups can enjoy the private hot tub surrounded by beautiful string lights, an outdoor fire-pit with comfortable Adirondack chairs, & several furnished areas for enjoying the crisp mountain air.

A Weber propane grill is located on deck.

Fun Fact:
The popular “upper pond creek trail” is two houses down. It’s an easy trail perfect for for all age groups. The trail borders the creek all the way down to lake coffee and “lower pond creek trail”

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and large, private, wooded lot with plenty of private parking. Please note, our driveway is steep and during winter months requires all wheel drive. There are two spots down by the road as well.

Other things to note
4-wheel drive or AWD is highly recommended in winter months. The driveway has an incline but flat at the top. 7-8 cars can park comfortably between the upper and lower driveway.

Pets allowed with a $125 pet fee. Pet fee must be paid prior to check-in. If you decide to bring your fur baby after the reservation has been made, please reach out to us and we can request the fee through the app.

The cabin is located ON THE FIRST LEVEL of the house, owners live on the upper two levels of this property WHICH ARE TOTALLY INDEPENDENT FROM THE FIRST LEVEL The property is located two miles from Ski Resort, and will be traveling in the opposite direction of traffic to the resort, and less than 5 minutes away from the Beech Golf course, pool, Clubhouse. Restaurants are near by between 2 and 4 miles. Also restaurants near by at Beech or Banner Elk 8 miles from house

The rental unit on the first level is totally independent with their own from deck and side deck with a gas BBQ the cabin is totally private from the rest of the house. Guess Parking area is for two cars

We are in the mountains where there is wild live do not leave food in your car and make sure it is lock. In winter months an AWD or 4X4 is highly recommended. During a snow day we will do our best to call for help cleaning property driveway cannot promise any time table is when they could get to us.

Our beautiful A frame home, with a mid century modern feel, is tucked away in the rhododendron and birch trees of Beech mountain. We’re Located off the beaten path of the town yet really close to Beech mountain club and Ski resort. ( 5minutes). The Ski lifts, restaurants, hiking, golf, and everything Beech Mtn. has to offer is minutes from our door!
Our peaceful and spacious home is 1800 sqft of soft natural light from large Picture windows and is cozy in the winter with two fireplaces.

The space
This house is so wonderful and can be enjoyed for almost any type of traveler. We are just in love with this house and we’re working hard to upgrade and add special accommodations over time. Look out for new renovations to the home! We get very adventurous guests and love it. Families and kids are some of our favorite guests too!!! Also, Should two families want to book together the house is easily divided into two separate living spaces. The 2 main floors with there own full kitchen and 3 bedrooms. Then there is the basement with a vintage kitchenette with microwave, toaster, 3 burner stove, small oven and a hotel sized fridge.
For couples wanting to share accommodation, both floors have masters with king beds and living rooms. Plus privacy for reading, movie watching and enjoyment....only when your not out exploring, skiing and socializing of course!

You have the entire house all to yourselves except the owners closet downstairs. I use this closet for my cleaners and other personal items.

We have ample parking for up to 4 cars. 3 in the driveway and 1 up on the road. Please note: our driveway is a bit steep and made ME nervous the first few times I backed out. But now I zip up the hill no problem. You can easily park 3 cars head to toe in the driveway but they are stacked in. Up on the road there’s more space and if you feel nervous backing out, might be the way to go. During the winter when there’s snow you’ll most likely want to park up top as the driveway will be too slick to back out.
We try to keep bags of salt at the home during winter time in case the driveway or walkway/deck get really slick from snow and ice.

Compared to similar units in the area, our home has an air conditioning unit to cool the main level and loft during the summer and a gas fireplace to warm up during the winter. You can also enjoy the outdoors on our spacious deck, which can accommodate a grill and patio table. Our unit is one of the larger units, with 3 bedrooms on the lower level and a semi-private loft. Our parking can accommodate 3 cars with a shared circle drive. We are only 2 minutes away from Beech Mountain Ski Resort.

The space
The property has three levels. The main level consists of three bedrooms and a full bathroom with laundry facilities. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, another has a king-sized bed, and the third bedroom contains a trundle bed, a full futon, and a bunk bed.

On the second floor, there is a full bathroom, a kitchen with an island that seats 4, a dining room that seats 8, and a living room with a gas fireplace.

The third floor is a semi-private loft. Unlike other units in the area, our loft does not have a see-through half-wall. It also features a half bath and a queen bed. The loft offers the best sunrise views!

You will have full access to the townhouse. The property is a half mile from the Beech Ski Resort parking lot (a two-minute drive). The property is at the top of a ridge, and the Beech Mt. parking lot is at the bottom of the mountain. You will want to drive to the parking lot. It would be a hike up to the chalet. You will have full access to the townhouse. The property is located half a mile from the Beech Ski Resort parking lot, which is just a two-minute drive away. The property is situated at the top of a ridge, while the Beech Mt. parking lot is located at the bottom of the mountain. It's recommended to drive to the parking lot, as it would be quite a hike up to the chalet.

We have a membership to Beech Mt Club, which offers access to golf, tennis, pickleball, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and exclusive restaurants only available to members. During the winter, there is a restaurant at Beech Mt exclusively for members. For a $300 transfer fee, you can enjoy these amenities during your stay.

Other things to note
This is a 1970's townhouse, you must be able to go up and down steps. *Please note: this is a very typical A-frame style home that is common to Beech Mountain. This means there are some staircases that are a bit steep and narrow. If you are traveling with infants, seniors, senior dogs, or anyone with mobility issues, this could potentially pose a challenge.

The hot water works very well. Please be careful with young children.

The ice maker does not work; however, there are ice cube trays, and at Fred’s general store, you can buy purchase bags of ice and other grocery items.

If using the futon, underneath the futon, there is a foam pad, and in a bin, there are sheets with a mattress cover in a bin un. Please use the mattress cover.

The coffee maker takes pods or grounds as it is the duo ninja coffee maker. There is a mesh filter for the coffee grinds. There are instructions on how to switch from pods to grounds and vice versa. Always leave the black brew basket, inserted, whether you are using the pods or inserting the mesh filter for grounds.

There is a printer, Epson XP – 310, Wi-Fi ready and there is a cable to connect your computer to the printer. Please leave this cable in the information binder for the home. If you are staying several weeks at the property and need a printer for work you may want to bring ink and paper for the printer.

When using the grill, please burn off any grease, cheese, or meat left on it. Set a timer so you don’t forget the grill is on and close the propane tank.

To access Beech Mt. Club for golf, pool, tennis, etc., you need to fill out paperwork a minimum of three business days before your visit. There is a $300 fee to transfer membership during your stay, paid to Beech Mt Club. Let me know if you are interested in accessing these amenities.

Upstairs in the loft, kids paradise awaits! Nooks on both sides of the loft have toys and games- including a TV and X-Box One- and are also perfect for young readers to enjoy a book. The loft also has a twin over full bunk bed, and a single twin bed. Grill, chill, and enjoy dinner on the deck with a view from the main floor, or proceed to the lower level enclosed deck (accessed via outdoor stairs) to soak in the hot tub or whip the kids in foosball like you promised. Roast marshmallows by the fire pit, or snuggle up by the fireplace in the living room. (A limited amount of wood is provided.) - During the winter months, roads on the mountain are maintained as well as weather permits, but that doesn’t always mean totally clear roads. In the Winter, cozy up on the sofa and enjoy a warm drink. The house has in-wall heating units which keep it quite warm. We also have an outdoor fire pit that is a great place to relax.

Buckeye Recreation Center, only a mile down the road, has hiking trails to the waterfalls, trout fishing, paddle boats, kayaks, tennis courts, a large ropes and timbers playground, and more! Come enjoy a weekend or extended stay, and make memories that will last a lifetime!

The sunroom has bright views of the surrounding forest and oversized chairs perfect for curling up with a book. Upstairs in the loft, the day bed invites you for an afternoon snooze, and the kid's corner has toys and tiny chairs for our youngest guests.

There is ample outdoor seating on the deck where you can enjoy serenity overlooking the woods. Slow down and listen to the birdsong or spy on deer and other wildlife frequently roaming by the house.

Guests are welcome to use the entire home, all the decks, and the surrounding wooded yard. Be aware that there is no fence marking the end of our property lines in the forest.

Beech Mountain has more than 18 trails covering 117 miles you're bound to find a perfect trail for you.

Buckeye Recreation Center is home to awesome pet-friendly trails that you can explore with your pooch. The Buckeye Lake Park's trails offer picnic shelters, fishing, boating, a campfire area, and picnic spots. Buckeye Recreation Center can be accessed Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 7:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

Fall + Winter Guests:
This is our busy season and it is the perfect time to visit the mountain! From sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows under the changing leaves, to enjoying the crisp new air, the high country is perfect this time of year. Come play in the snow, ride a sled at Fred's or ski down the slopes on Beech. We are a 5 minute drive to Ski Beech and 30 minutes to Sugar Mountain. Grandfather Mountain is also a short drive away. There's tubing, skiing, sledding at all within 5 minutes of the house.

Spring + Summer guests:
We have the perfect creekside land to explore with your family. Over 90 acres of wildlife, wilderness and being in nature. Relax by the fire under the stars while surrounded by lush greenery. Take a family hike down to the creek for a splash in the rocks. There's swimming holes, waterfalls, cliff jumping, mountain climbing, rafting, hiking trails and a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway at your fingertips. The kids will love Tweetsie Railroad, Oz and gem mining as well!

During SPRING + SUMMER the bears and other wildlife are active on our land. They can often climb around the house, and if any bird seed or food is left out, they can climb to the top balcony! Do not feed the bears. You may see ALL wildlife on your visit to Alatina Cabin. Bears, deer, snakes, wild animals of ALL types. We provide bear bells and information for you and your pets.

The Land:
We have over 90 acres you can explore, including a private creek and plenty of rocks to be climbed and areas to explore. We have an onsite fire pit area, and also there's a sledding driveway (at your own risk! It's steep) We have a lot of land that is the perfect private oasis whether covered in snow or brimming with nature and wildlife!

The Cabin:
3 Floors- Main, Lower, Loft.
2 Balconies with private views of the mountains.

The Main Floor:

The main floor is where most of your family will spend their moments. A lush leather couch and chair, a stone, wood burning fire place as well as a stocked kitchen. Plenty of room to gather around the dining table or grill out on the balcony. There's mountain views from anywhere in the open concept main floor.

Kitchen:
Pots Pans + Stove + Keurig + some essentials + crock pot.
The kitchen is fully stocked. If you'd like something specific there for your trip, please just shoot us an email! If you're hosting a large family meal or rehearsal dinner, we can help with that as well.

The Loft:
The loft is a semi private space as it overlooks the family room below. There's a pull out couch, and two twin beds up there. There's ample room for the kids to play or bring sleeping bags and stretch out with their friends.

The Lower Level:
Growing up this was the kids' level! We would bring 15 of our closest friends and would enjoy time by ourselves down there! There is a full bathroom, and two private bedrooms on this floor. One with a king and one with a full bed. It also has its own private access door to the outside, and lower balcony that looks over the mountains. There's a trundle couch/bed that sits beside the balcony doors, and serves as the second pair of twin beds we have. Apple TV + board games.

The Pets:

Our wildlife are sacred to us. There is absolutely zero guns or hunting on our land. If we find evidence during your stay, there’s a $2,000 fine and authorities will be contacted. Zero tolerance.


We are very pet friendly! We love dogs and cats and have hosted both. We rescue ourselves. You're welcome to bring up to two pets with you for your stay. If there's more than that, please let us know as it will be on a case by case basis. Hiking the land is so fun with your pets. Please keep them leashed if you're worried about other wildlife. We also have bear bells available for you to use if needed. During check in, please note the pet rules in your welcome email.

Number of Guests:
We will allow up to 16 guests in the cabin. The bed count is listed above floor by floor. Make sure that is acceptable to your party prior to booking. You're welcome to use our airbed. We ask that you please give us accurate numbers when booking so we can make sure that you have enough supplies during your stay.

We do allow you to bring air mattresses and sleeping bags. There is plenty of room on the 3rd and lower floor for both.

Winter Guests Specifics:

YOU NEED 4 WHEEL DRIVE OR CHAINS IN THE WINTER MOST OF THE TIME.

Not always, but watch the weather! You can always call Fred's Mercantile and ask them how the roads up on the mountain are looking too! They're like the gatekeepers of Beech; they know everything.

Our road is gravel, not always salted. If it is icy up there I do bring in people to salt it but there is no guarantees they will get to it before you arrive. Please be prepared! All of Beech can be iffy in winter if it's icy. We've only had one issue of someone not being able to get to the house in 2 years of hosting. We did find them a way, but we want you to be safe! So if traveling to Beech, pay attention to the weather!

We may ask you to drip our pipes and if you're there during a super cold time, the tub/drains MAY be slow to drain. We do winter maintenance on them, but sometimes it's just really cold and they're slow.

Transit

We are just a half a mile away from Buckeye Creek Recreational Center where many activities are free of charge. There is a beautiful hiking area there that the town maintains, and the highlight is the waterfall after you have hiked almost 1/2 mile. Need a flat pavement for your daily walking? Buckeye Creek has that and it's a perfect place for indoor activities like ping on and basket ball. Take a look on their website for special events.
If you are looking for skiing, then this IS YOUR SKI cabin. We have a ski room/mud room to leave all your equipment and even outside hangers for skis under the house. We have thought of everything. You don't even need to use the main entrance to drop off your ski equipment. Drop it all in one spot and it's quickly picked up for the next day easily.

Other things to note

This a large brand new home that will make you feel like as you are taking a luxurious mountain Vacation, but its not meant as a place where a large school or party groups should stay. We invite large family groups, women or men weekends, all over 25 and not in school. No sororities or fraternity reunions. Children welcome with parents. Well behaved dogs are welcomed. Beech Mountain offers putt putt golf, outdoor movies in the summer, festivals, skiing, restaurants, and both mountain bike and hiking trails. In addition you will find fishing, gem mining, horseback riding, winery tours and whitewater rafting nearby.

There's a newly constructed brewery with a mountain top open air yurt style bar and restaurant too. This facility is appropriately named 5506' Skybar, paying tribute to the elevation that gives Beech Mountain the title of highest ski area east of the Rockies.

During winter months there's also a FREE sledding hill for kids. Additionally, there's ice skating, skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing.

The health, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.

★ NATURE IMMERSION ★
The natural surroundings offer majestic areas and sights. However, you might encounter a few bugs happily playing on the deck and around the chalet. Don't be alarmed, as this is a standard occurrence in the mountains.

★ Driveway ★
This chalet has a tandem driveway. Although it has room for 4 cars, if you are coming here with multiple trucks\large SUV, 3 is probably the max. As you pull up to the house, the driveway slopes down and up. The roads are paved, but this home has a gravel driveway.

★ General Info★
The closets have extra blankets, space heaters, and extra folding chairs for larger groups.

★ Pets ★
Yes, we allow pets, but if your furry friends sleep with you at night, it's REQUIRED that you put your own sheet down on top of the bed to prevent pet hair from attaching to our comforters and sheets. If not, I will have to charge an extra cleaning fee of $250 for the additional time and effort it takes our cleaners to get the place ready for the next guests.

★ Winter Driving★
A lot of snow can come here in the Winter. AWD or chains on the tires are highly recommended.

★ Firewood★
Make sure to stop at Fred's or another local place to pick up some firewood. Please reach out if you need assistance finding some.

★ Roku TVs ★
Each bedroom has a Roku tv. Login to your favorite streaming service to enjoy what you like to watch!
