Four FULL BEDROOMS, THREE BATHROOMS, fully furnished, and well equipped for your comfort and convenience.

The master loft bedroom is very spacious (600 sq. ft.) and with a private bath, king-sized pine bed, loft office overlooking the main living room and views of the mountains.

Second bedroom has a black metal bed and Stanley dark wood dresser and nightstand.

Third bedroom has a real wood bunk bed set with a twin on top and a double on the bottom.

FIrst floor has a luxurious king master bedroom complete with a high-end Stearns and Foster king mattress and a gorgeous bathroom with a slate tiled soaking tub /shower combo and a large double sink vanity.

This floor has also been outfitted with a kitchenette (complete with a new wet bar, mini fridge, microwave, custom cabinet, and a coffee maker) a large wrap around leather couch, 2 tvs.

To top it all off, there is a full sized pool table, a foosball table, and a wrap around deck for your enjoyment.

The main second floor deck has gates at both ends to help you to keep track of small children and pets.

Lots of golf courses nearby as well as rafting close by at the Nantahala Outdoor Center.

Entrance to the Appalachian Trail is a short drive away through Tellico Gap about 20 minutes away.

Four breweries and a couple of wineries are in the surrounding areas to visit.

- "This place fit our time, number of beds & pet friendly needs. It does not scream "pets are here" when you walk in. No odor, no hair. The cabin is somewhat secluded, nearest neighbor is 100 yards away (which I liked) and only 2 other houses on the "street". Bears do not seem to be as big a concern on this side as the TN side. Closest groceries (not gas station but actual groceries) is a 25 minute drive. If you need to get rid of trash it's a 8 mile drive to the town dump. If you haven't been to the area, roads are narrow, winding and often steep drop offs. Locals will tailgate & pass you in no passing zones. Some roads are single lane but handle 2 way traffic, and some areas are gravel, especially headed up to trail heads (like Tellico Rd). Not for the faint of heart. I suggest you have a car that has some power and good brakes. If you drive stick be quick off the clutch on hills. The kitchen has all the dishes and pans you need. There is a good spice rack, salt & pepper was low you might want your own. Coffee pot (cone filters) and appliances all work. Gas grill works well. There is an addictive ring toss game by the grill to keep the chef busy. BEAUTIFUL view of SMNP. Cabin is great, 3 full baths with good water pressure. Light switches all labeled for ease of use. If mapping suggests you take Highway 129 you might want to Google "The Tail of the Dragon highway 129" first."

Blaster's Point is set in Franklin. This chalet has a garden and free private parking. The chalet has 3 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with a fridge, an oven, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a microwave. Towels and bed linen are offered in the chalet. The nearest airport is Asheville Regional Airport, 131 km from the chalet.

This two bedroom mountain retreat is fully equipped with every amenity to ensure your visit is comfortable and carefree. Amenities include an open concept floor plan with very cozy stone fireplace with gas logs, rustic and relaxed furnishings, hardwood floors downstairs, large dining room table and ample seating for our guests. The living room has a large smart TV with all streaming services available for log-in, landline telephone, and Wi-Fi. A loft style, open concept master suite upstairs features a king size bed and its own half bath. The guest bedroom on the 1st floor has a queen size bed and also has its own TV with Roku. The full bath is quite functional with a tub/shower combo and a unique and artistic double vanity with stone vessel sinks. The fully equipped kitchen has been updated nicely and features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and stylish lighting. The kitchen is outfitted with all pots, pans, coffee maker, tea kettle, blender and more. The cabin is fully stocked with linens, bedding, towels, etc. Outdoor areas are special too, featuring a nice patio set and gas grill for outdoor dining on the deck overlooking the waterfall. Located in the heart of the Nantahala National Forest, midway between Highlands, Franklin, and Lake Glenville, this cabin offers the ideal mountain getaway. The fantastic location, with easy paved access directly off Walnut Creek Road makes this mountain cabin easily accessible for our visitors in all seasons! This cabin is the perfect home base for the outdoor enthusiast. World class hiking, camping and fishing are all within 30 minutes drive from the property. Lake Glenville, with its newly re-designed lake front beach area, is 5 miles from the cabin and so fun to swim in. If you are joining us in the winter, we are an easy 30 minute trip to Sky Valley for skiing too! HIghlands is a quick drive for world class shopping and dining. Small walking trails wind through our five acre property, perfect for a quick stroll with your pooch - and guests can try their hand gem mining or fishing in the creek above and below the falls.

A rustic bunk house on the property is also available for rent to accommodate a larger group. The 2 bdrm/1.5bth bunk house sleeps 6 people comfortably. Downstairs has a queen bed and full bath, and upstairs has 2 king size beds and a half bath in an open loft style bedroom. The property has a cozy living room/dining room combination with a well equipped kitchen. The bunk house is clean and very simply furnished. It does not have Wi-Fi. A TV with DVD player and a library of movies is onsite. Very comforatable acccomidations with brand new heating and air conditioning. The bunk house is only for rent in conjunction with the Waterfall Cabin and is not leased to separate parties. Please inquire for rates and additional photos.

Pets are welcome upon approval with an additional fee at the Waterfall Cabin, but due to the steep decking, lots of stairs and the very large waterfall on the property, young children are usually discouraged. The cabin is accessible via stairs to the main front door - so guests do have to be able to navigate stairs.

WHY DO I LOVE THE CHALET?:
I adore the aesthetics of the chalet! There is no other property that has its chic Alpine style in Highlands, NC. I created a sophisticated, understated, and quite elegant vibe to create the coziest chalet. Plus, I love being so close to all my favorite restaurants and shopping downtown Highlands!

CHALET LAYOUT:
A) As you enter the first level, you are greeted by the charming kitchen, dining area, and separate washer/dryer room.
B) Ascend the stairs to discover the crown jewels of the chalet, the grande vaulted ceiling on the second level. Upstairs you will discover the inviting living room with an outdoor upper deck and enormous Samsung smart TV, the fairy-tale king master bedroom that has a lot of soft natural light filtering in from the sea of rhododendrons with Samsung smart TV, and a full hallway bathroom with combination tub/shower.
C) The loft area hosts the 1/2 bath, a hallway nook twin bed, and a cozy queen bedroom with windows that flood the room with lovely natural light.

Also, not suitable for children due to the high end artwork throughout the living spaces. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable retreat.

REFUNDS & TRAVEL INSURANCE:
All guests are encouraged to get travel insurance, as there are no refunds issued. Travel insurance compensates you for trip costs and money you spend due to unforeseen events before and during your trip. This is especially important during hurricane season and to protect you from any unforeseen event.

PETS, INCLUDING SERVICE ANIMALS:
This is a pet-free property due to allergies. Unfortunately, due to severe, documented allergies within our household, we are unable to accomodate pets or service animals at this property. This is not a preference but a health and safety necessity since we too use this property as our personal vacation home.

This beautiful property is less than 10 minutes from downtown Franklin. You'll be pleased with the easy, paved access to the door. Our 4 acre private property features Wallace Branch Creek, a large open field for family, friends and pets (yes, we are pet-friendly), a fire pit for marshmallow roasts and a gazebo picnic area with a gas grill for cookouts.

The home has been carefully decorated with the discriminating Guest in mind with lots of room for everyone. Comfortable and inviting for a small family but large enough for up to 12 Guests overnight and small events. The beautiful setting is perfect for a small wedding or family reunion.

The beautiful Bartram Trail, with access just a 5 min. walk from the house, is named for naturalist William Bartram who was among the most well-known of the early naturalists, botanists and explorers of his day. For serious hikers, the Trail leads to Wayah Bald, the highest peak in Macon County. It intersects the famous Appalachian Trail which extends over 2,000 miles from Georgia all the way to Maine. Bartram traveled throughout the southeast from 1773 to 1777. The North Carolina Bartram Trail Society was organized to establish and maintain the North Carolina section of the memorial trail that honors Bartram and his work. The 80+ miles of the Bartram Trail in North Carolina follows the original route. The Bartram Trail is designated as a National Recreation Trail by the National Trails System Act of 1968. The trail is blazed in a yellow, vertically oriented rectangle in North Carolina and a yellow diamond in Georgia. It crosses over some of the most scenic mountains of North Carolina and Georgia.

This is an amazing A-Frame cabin with a great view that has it all. It has a nice patio/deck with a picnic table to enjoy the view. Additionally, there is a deck off the front of the house with rockers to enjoy the view as well. The cabin has hardwoods throughout, but carpeting in the bedrooms, as well as Central Heat/Air. There are two bedrooms downstairs with queen-sized beds and scaling the spiral staircase to the loft renders a double bed.

The cabin is in a great location and indeed near town - be warned, there are some steep up and down hills before getting to the main road so if it's wet and you have a stroller - be careful! Everything was well appointed and well maintained. There were some board games too, and our toddler loved playing with the jenga blocks. One small note, the toilets seem to run at random times for 20 seconds at a time. Obviously not a big deal during the day but when it happens at 2 or 3am it's a little unsettling. Overall we had a great experience. The communication was great and would definitely stay again when in the area!"

Come and enjoy intimate dinners, the warmth of two fireplaces, and wine and cheese on one of the decks, terraces, or balconies. Mountain strolls, magnificent waterfalls, boat rides, and unforgettable views will create forever beautiful memories for you and your family.

Maison Rouge’s main level features a well-equipped galley kitchen, dining and living areas. The living room opens to a large wrap-around deck overlooking peaceful Mirror Lake, and features a stacked-stone gas-fired fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD/VHS player with 5-disk CD player and AM/FM radio. Unlike many homes in the mountains, Maison Rouge has fast, reliable Wi-Fi Internet service and is wired for cable. Maison Rouge has central air conditioning, although you may not need it as much as you thought you would.

There are two bedrooms and one bath on the main level. The master bedroom has a King bed and the guest bedroom has a Queen bed.

The kitchen is fully equipped with under-cabinet lighting, oven/range, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, glassware, a complete set for 12 of antique English china, as well as bakeware, copper-clad Revere Ware pots and pans, a stock pot, and a few pieces of 100 year old seasoned cast iron cookware.

The upper level has two bedrooms with one full bath in between. Each upper level bedroom has two twins and access to a small balcony-one overlooking Cullasaja Drive, and the other overlooking the lake.

The lower level features a family room with flat-screen TV, gas fireplace, and fully equipped entertainment kitchen with two sets of French doors opening onto a lakeside terrace with gas grill, and “al fresco” dining area. Also, a powder room, shower area, and laundry.

All three levels of Maison Rouge have access to lakeside decks, porches, and/or balconies. There’s a nice grassy area-great for play or lawn games, and there’s a flat-bottomed boat available as well (life jackets and oars are provided).

The easy-entry semi-circular driveway parks up to four cars. For your protection and safety, there is motion-activated outdoor lighting and one exterior security camera by the front stairs.

The property is less than a one-mile walk to beautiful downtown Highlands with world class shopping and five-star dining venues. The Plateau Greenway trail begins less than ¼ mile from the property. Over five miles of sidewalks and natural trails are free to the public daily from sunrise to sunset.

This home has a three-night minimum, except for HOLIDAYS AND SOME LOCAL EVENTS, which could be longer.
The rental app you are using may allow you to make two or three-night rentals during these times, but that doesn't mean the reservation will be honored.

“Alpenglow” was named for the phenomenon of the reddish glow the sky and mountains acquire when the sun sets in the opposite direction, and this cabin certainly has the most stunning sunset views. Nestled on a hillside, Alpenglow is the perfect place for you to relax, unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of a small mountain town. Sit on the expansive deck and gaze at some of the oldest mountains on Earth! There are views of Whiteside and Yellow Mountain, and if you get the urge to do a little bit of hiking yourself, you can skip the car and take the well-maintained Kelsey Trail to town. If you’re not much of a trail hiker, the quiet neighborhood is a great place to walk on paved roads.

There is a bedroom and bath on each level. The primary bedroom has a Queen bed and Twin bed, the lower-level bedroom has a King bed and a Twin bed, and the upper-level bedroom has a Queen bed. There is an occupancy limit of SIX people for Alpenglow.

The main level has a cozy great room with a gas fireplace, and an open stairway to the upper level and is decorated in a cozy, rustic mountain theme.

The kitchen is on the main level and is fully stocked with everything you need. There are a few grocery stores in town as well as several award-winning restaurants that offer dine-in and take-out.

There is no internet, but the TV is accessible using ROKU. With this home’s location on the north side of a mountain, air-conditioning is not available and rarely thought about. There are ceiling fans located in each bedroom, the living area, and the kitchen.

From Alpenglow, you’re close to everything Highlands has to offer. The new Highlands Performing Arts Center, where you can see live and streamed performances, The Bascom offers year-round art classes and exhibitions. This is an amazing A-Frame cabin with a great view that has it all. It has a nice patio/deck with a picnic table to enjoy the view. Additionally, there is a deck off the front of the house with rockers to enjoy the view as well. The cabin has hardwoods throughout, but carpeting in the bedrooms, as well as Central Heat/Air. There are two bedrooms downstairs with queen-sized beds and scaling the spiral staircase to the loft renders a double bed.

The dining room table seats 6… or perhaps you would enjoy al fresco dining on the deck while enjoying the soft sounds of the rolling stream. After dinner enjoy a marshmallow roast on the outdoor
fire pit or even better s’mores while exchanging campfire stories!

The space
The main living area is open concept living yet offers a nice cozy feel. The bedrooms are adequate in size. The property feels private and offers wonderful views of distant mountains, winter views are better, a stream and pasture. You are in the mountains so, you may experience a disruption with the WIFI throughout your stay. The home decor will look like the pictures for fall and winter months and will have a different lighter and brighter decor for spring and summer months. We like to provide snacks for our guests so, please be sure to read the ingredients on if you or a family member has any kind of food allergies.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire home. The kitchen pantry, the downstairs guest bedroom closet(one of them) and, the downstairs storage underneath the staircase are locked and for private use. Thank you

Convenient to Cashiers, Brevard, & about an hour from Asheville!

Guest access
While renting you have lake access and can use the 2 kayaks and the stand up paddle board. Feel free to grill out on the deck. Boats are available for rent from the Lake Toxaway Marina. http://www.laketoxawaymarine.com/

During the summer months the kayaks and SUP will be down by our dock space.

Other things to note
Getting to the lake: We have a shared dock with the other chalets on the property. To get to the lake you have to walk down Toxaway Landing Dr and turn right at the mailboxes. You will see our path on the right when you get to the bottom of the road.

****Sometimes we have a boat at our dock. We don't have the insurance to rent it. Boat rentals are available from the marina. If you rent a boat the marina will deliver to our dock and remove ours from our dock space.****
