Your heated and secluded tent offers a queen-sized bed. Fresh Clean Water. Grill and Grill Tools, Firepit, Hammock, Picnic Table, and Two Adirondack Chairs. There is a privacy tent for the sterilized lue, the lue is cleaned and emptied prior to your visit. Additional amenities are available upon request. This glamping tent is located on a 27 acre lot in the mountains of Cowee Valley, just 11 miles from Downtown Franklin! Guests are free to explore the expansive property equipped with bonfire sites, trails for walking/hiking, and WIDE OPEN SPACES! Enjoy the nearby recreation by heading to the Nantahala Outdoor Center for tubing, kayaking, zip lining and more. You can also check out the Cherokee Ruby & Sapphire Mine to discover real gemstones! Downtown Franklin is home to some of our families favorite breweries and restaurant locations as well, including the Lazy Hiker and Sunset Diner (a great family breakfast spot).

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
Other Things to Note:
Quiet Time from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, you will find that loud music, yelling, and screaming are not welcome or appropriate out here. There are Deer that graze the property which you should not disturb. You are free to roam the 27 Acre Property but stay away from other secluded guests without proper invitation. There are some public spaces including a covered pavilion where guests can socialize. Do Not Visit the Main House which faces the pond. You may down to the working griss mill, visit the horses down the road. Hike up to the waterfall at the top of the mountain.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.
If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). Southern Belles Glampground offers an all-inclusive glamping experience in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, in Franklin, NC. This adults-only retreat invites you and your four-legged companions to six restored vintage campers, each blending mid-century style with modern comforts for a unique stay.
The space
About the glamper:
Meet Betsie Mae, a 1967 Phoenix glamper. She is 14 feet end to end. 10.5 feet long and 7.5 feet wide inside.
- She comes equipped with electricity, a 2-burner gas range, a mini fridge, Keurig single-serve coffee maker (coffee not included), a portable fan/heater, pots & pans, dining dishes & utensils, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
- A brand new, super comfortable custom mattress along with high-end linens are included with the glamper. In true camping style, the mattress is between a size single and double and can cozily sleep two people.
- The outside space of the glamper includes a private, covered deck with a bistro set and deck chairs. A private hammock, propane BBQ (propane included), Solo Stove fire pit (firewood is included!) camp chairs, and a clothesline.
About the shared bathhouse: A fully renovated log cabin has been converted into two full-size bathrooms that are shared among all the guests. They are equipped with a shower, hot water, toilet, sink, mirror, and outlets.
About the glampground: The common areas of the glampground are accessible by all guests.

Our guests have access to their private glamper, the shared bathhouse, the glampgrounds, and the lodge.
Other things to note
There is minimal Wifi & cell service at the glampground. The glampers do not have access to wifi or cell service. Guests can have access to Starlink wifi at the Lodge.
Our guests must be 21+.
