The Mountain House is a three level chalet located on one of the highest points of Pine Mountain, midway between the quaint Georgia towns of Warm Springs, home of Roosevelt's Little White House, and Pine Mountain, home of Callaway Gardens Resort. Our Chalet features two bedrooms plus a loft with a queen size bed, one and a half baths, a fully equipped kitchen and a finished lower level with wonderful stone fireplace (firewood provided) and lots of books for all ages and toys and games. Enjoy the high ceilings, open main living area and the wrap around deck with wooded views. The towns of Pine Mountain and Warm Springs are very visitor friendly with Southern hospitality, regional restaurants (we do love our Bar-B-Que!) and specialty shopping and antiquing.

Luna Landing #79 is a mountain chalet style home in a forested setting, overlooking a 12 acre fishing lake in a gated resort, Pine Mountain Club Chalets (PMCC). This chalet is privately owned and operated, providing easy and prompt communication. Our chalet permits up to 6 adults and children, combined, with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Master bedroom has a King bed and a nice connecting full bath. Second bedroom downstairs has two twin beds and a nearby small bath with shower. Upstairs there is a bedroom with a queen sized bed and full bath with a custom shower. There is a community dock at our chalet.

Community jon boats are provided around the lake for fishing and riding. There are many amenities including a nice swimming pool, playground, ping pong, tennis, horseshoes and others. High speed internet is provided. For pet owners: One or two dogs accepted with a $30 pet fee per night. No cats permitted. When registering, click on the "Travelers" box, then select “Pets” “yes” (and also confirm the number of adults and children). Please send a note to owners while booking to give breed, size and age of dogs as we reserve the right to approve pets and maintain the high quality of our home. Pets must be confined in a crate at times when owners are not in the chalet with their pets.

The 1 mile walk or bike around the private lake is a delightful experience, with the many views of nature throughout the property. On the walk, you will pass community areas for basketball, volleyball, ping pong, mini golf, tennis, and a lovely swimming pool.

For fishermen, the lake is stocked with bass and bream, and there are fishing boats provided. We provide paddles, several life jackets, ping pong, badminton, putters and golf balls, and a basketball. (Bring your own tennis and fishing gear). Horseshoes are provided at the horseshoe pit beside the playground.

The area around this property is full of great things to do for all ages. Callaway Gardens is an amazing natural resort, described elsewhere in this write up. You may drive your family through the Wild Animal Safari and feel like you are on an African adventure.

Warm Springs is a beautiful little town with wine tastings at their local winery. There is much to learn about the Franklin Roosevelt era, with the Little White House, and the Springs he loved. Roosevelt State Park is built around the largest mountain outside of North Georgia, Pine Mountain, and there are many scenic spots and hiking trails. The stables offer riding around lakes or up mountains.

After a visit to Luna Landing, you will be relaxed and refreshed, and reconnected to Nature.

The communication between the owners was 5 stars ⭐️ always had a timely answer to your questions and very helpful. The chalet was very comfortable & clean. Plenty room for our family of 6 plus our sweet pup. It was fully stocked with everything you needed to make meals, which we did. I have to note that this chalet was one of a few without a ramp. We had a family member in a powered wheelchair and he was able to make it up the few stairs(without the chair) and it all worked out well. The deck was very spacious and the view was amazing. We really enjoyed sitting out and enjoying coffee/wine over great conversations. Also got to witness a wedding across the lake on a very stormy day. Didn’t get to do much fishing but the deck was so secluded and quiet. We explored all of the sites close by. Callaway gardens, FDR little White House, warm springs and national park. All within 25 min or less. Downtown pine mountain was also a treat. There was a small but well stocked grocery store and a few restaurants. We only got to experience Fox’s pizza. It was tasty. The area around the chalet at this time of year was very quiet and we hardly saw anyone around. We enjoyed walking around the paved lake and taking part in the activities provided ie. putt putt golf, pool, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe and tennis. There is also a pool table and table tennis. We enjoyed all of Lunas artwork throughout the chalet, just beautiful. We hope to be back soon."

Guests have full access to the house, including the living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, deck, and all provided amenities. The only exceptions are two locked supply closets and the storage room under the house, which is being prepared as a future game room.

Resort facilities, including the pool, mini-golf, tennis courts, and recreation room, are available for use during operating hours, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Equipment for these amenities, such as tennis rackets and mini-golf clubs, is accessible (a code will be provided) with a refundable security deposit.

- "Its very peaceful and nice to get away and has a few things to do on site" - "Stayed in a dog-friendly chalet for a weekend with husband and 2 small dogs. We visited Callaway Gardens, which is just a couple of miles away. Downtown Pine Mountain is also just a few minutes away with good local restaurants and a small grocery store. The chalet had a fireplace and the front office sells firewood, but only takes cash for the firewood. The chalet was roomy, but dated. Could have been cleaned better. Saw several cobwebs. Bedding appeared clean. Plenty of towels. Toiletries provided were bar soap for hand washing and a pack of face wipes. There were limited pots/pans for cooking in. Plates, utensils, and cups provided. No cleaning supplies. One pod for dishwasher and a small bottle of dish detergent provided. Deck outside with grill. Very quiet and family friendly. Chalets are far enough apart to give a bit of a private feel. Overall good visit."

- "We really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. The screened in porch was so pleasant however there were only 3 chairs around the outside dining table and one of those was broken. If you have more than 2 people you couldn’t enjoy all the porch has to offer. Other than that we will be back." - "This chalet was very clean and well kept. Perfectly located close to the dock. Perfect view of the dock and lake from back porch. Directly across from the recreation center and a short walk to the pool. The screened in porch was even better because there were pop up showers a couple of days. Property management was very professional and nice. There is a TV in the living room and upstairs loft only. Owner should consider adding smart TVs and maybe mounting small ones on the bedroom walls (I like to watch HGTV before falling asleep). That way guest could use their streaming services when they want to sit back and watch a movie later that evening or when visiting during the winter months and it's too cold for some activities. Please don't consider the TV suggestion a complaint LOL. This place was great!"

- "My family and I stayed here to get away for Christmas. The place was nice, fully stocked with kitchenware, and even had a Christmas tree already put up. They could use some slip guards underneath them. There is a charcoal grill there. So if you want to grill be sure to bring the charcoal. Overall, it was a very nice and quiet weekend, as we were here for a Lagrange College graduation. We would definitely stay again."

I prefer a lock code or more flexibility with the checkin/out process (the office staff were extremely friendly and courteous) The cabin was clean, but every single one of the chalets we viewed had carpet in the bedrooms and it was old/ outdated. It would have felt cleaner with no carpet. Overall, we had a nice relaxing time and would like to return with our children."

Chalet has 1 king bedroom upstairs, 2 bedrooms with a set of twin beds in each and 1 Queen bedroom downstairs. Dog Friendly additional fee of $50 a day for up to 2 dogs. Must be 25 years of age. - "My mother and kids stayed with me, plus my 2 dogs. We played games on the enclosed porch, which was my favorite place. The beds were comfortable. The Rec center, where we played pool and ping pong, is very close to the chalet, as is the playground. We enjoyed area attractions like Pumpkins at Callaway, Wild animal Safari, and horseback riding at FDR state park. The weather was perfect. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The towels are the sandpaper type that are super small, so bring your own if that bothers you. However, we had plenty of towels and linens."
