Unmatched views from this hillside lake cottage! Enjoy the 180-degree panorama of the wide part of Old Hickory Lake. The view is due west, so the sunsets are terrific. Sit in the hot tub on the lower deck while you watch the sun drop over the water. Sit on the hillside, or the porch swing, or one of the decks, there are so many options for hanging out and taking it all in. Sailboats and other watercraft wander by, including an occasional large working barge.

There is also storage in the 2 Car Detached Garage. The cottage is located at the end of the cul-de-sac. Mature trees. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome, for an extra $75 + tax pet fee to be charged separately after booking.

Only complaint is you should buy a new queen bed for the master bedroom.. The bed was very uncomfortable!!! When we rent I look for location and comfortable bed!! Knotty and Nice Chalet located in on a tranquil 150 acres that is secluded, quiet and picturesque. You feel like you are in the woods with the large windows. You can relax on the screen porch and enjoy the gas fire pit or enjoy the 5 miles of trails on the property. An outdoor wood burning fire pit (wood is provided) and a treehouse for the kids are next to the Chalet. The Grounds

The Knotty and Nice Chalet is located on Paradise Ranch & Retreat in Springfield Tennessee, only half an hour from Nashville. The ranch is spread across 150 acres of wooded rolling hills, with multiple horse pastures and five miles of hiking and biking trails. Exploring the well-maintained trails will take you to many scenic overlooks, private gazebos and benches, creek side sitting areas and beautiful ponds. If you bring boots you can wade across the slow moving Carr creek with 3-4 inches of water depth to the 50 acres on the other side with several miles of trails.
Fishing, catch & release is available on Carr Creek and a pond on the property. A treehouse is nearby on the property with a small climbing wall and swing. Knotty and Nice chalet is a place you can enjoy private time with a special someone, family, or friends.

The Chalet

The Knotty & Nice Chalet is a 2,738 square foot chalet built in 2022 with all of the modern conveniences to keep you comfortable. Four bedrooms and three and a half baths can sleep up to eight people.

The kitchen includes modern stainless steel appliances to include fridge/freezer, dish washer, range and oven, coffee maker with a selection of coffee and tea, waffle maker, cookware, and dinnerware. The kitchen island seats three and a dining room table.

The living room features several chairs and a couch, a large gas fireplace, and 65 in. HD Smart TV. 250mbps business-class high-speed Internet/WiFi is provided throughout the cabin.

The downstairs has two bedrooms, one is with a king bed that can be converted to two twin beds. The other bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms each have 55 in. HD Smart TVs. The bathroom features a shower with two separate shower heads as well as two sinks. There is a living area with a gas fire place, 65 in. HD Smart TV, large recliner sofa, microwave and small refrigerator. There is also a stacked washer and dryer downstairs.

The main level bedroom features a king size bed, 55 in. HD Smart TV, walk in closet and an attached bathroom with two sinks, one of which is wheelchair accessible. The large shower has two shower heads.

The upstairs bedroom also features a king size bed, 55 in. HD TV and attached bathroom with an air-jet jacuzzi tub for two.

You will love the serenity and beauty this mountain chalet has to offer. Beautiful views from the decks of wildlife, including horses right across the street. Deer, eagles, hawks, etc can be seen everyday in the secluded setting. Although you're in the woods and think you are in the middle of nowhere, Cracker Barrel and Interstate 81 are within 5 minutes. Major shopping , restaurants, theaters, lake activities , golf, horseback riding, boat rentals, childrens playgrounds, fishing , etc are within 15 minutes at Warriors Path State Park, and The Pinnacle for shopping with major stores. This chalet was made for comfort with a large master bedroom on the lower level with King sized bed and dual showers. in the master bath and 55 IN TV. Large walk-in closet. Two bedrooms upstairs with comfy queen beds with shared bath. Both have their own TVs as well. Overflow bedroom with queen bed also downstairs with large 55"TV .The kitchen has cherry cabinets with all the utensils you need for the chef to make dinner and includes large 3 seater bar and large dining table looking over the deck. Living area has large sofa and chairs, with dual recliners and surround sound speakers with bluetooth to listen to your own favorite music there and on the outside deck.. The wrap-around deck is perfect for just relaxing and barbequing your favorite foods. Plenty of seating. 5 person Hot tub just off Master Bedroom for some private time. You won't want to leave..

- "We stayed here two nights to visit family on the way to a Jeep rally in Pigeon Forge. The house is large and spacious with a great view of the Tennessee River. The bed was very comfortable, it has a large deck with chairs and plenty of sun shade. It has two levels with seating areas and even a message chair. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip." - "Very nice. Hope to go back soon" - "We were highly disappointed in the property. The grass was so high that we weren't able to use the yard or fire pit area. Our children had to be kept on the deck and asphalted driveway areas. There were some kind of flying bugs hanging around in the downstairs bathroom our entire stay. The property is advertised for 8 occupants but there were not enough bathing washcloths and towels to go around so I had to wash laundry each night. Accessing the river took some strenuous climbing up and down steep dangerous banks. The pictures advertising the property were deceiving and did not depict current pictures of the property. I did contact property manager to make these complaints known and was only offered a $30 refund for cleaning fees. Unhappy with our stay especially for the money that we paid."
