And the hot tub was *chef’s kiss* after a day on the slopes. You will need chains/4WD on the driveway in the winter, that’s not an exaggeration!! Super close to Snowshoe, we never felt like it took too long to get there. Rent your skis at the bottom of the hill and it’s a straight shot to the lifts. Host was very helpful and communicative. Definitely considering staying there again!"

One of the best features of our log cabin is its private outdoor space 5 acres. You'll love spending time on the large deck, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forest. There's even a hot tub where you can relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

Our cabin also has a game room in the basement, complete with a foosball table, arcade games, and a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Located just a short distance from some of Snowshoe's best attractions, including the
Snowshoe Ski Resort, hiking trails, and fishing spots. You'll find plenty of great restaurants, shops, and entertainment options just a few minutes' drive away.

The cabin has a filtered 1000 gal rain water catch system, so we do have to conserve water but also have a fresh water well on the property.

This is a spacious home away from home. The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 10 adults, or 12 people with children - assuming four children share the two full beds in the bunk room. En total, there are seven beds - one king, two queens, and a bunk room with two fulls and two twins.

The hot tub accommodates six adults, and has peak views of the Allegheny Mountains from a private deck.

The open concept main floor features a large kitchen with island that seats four, a dining table for ten, and a comfortable living room with fireplace and smart TV. The living room has high ceilings and offers direct access to the covered front porch, with a swing and outdoor chairs for taking in the view of the Allegheny Mountains.

The owner's bedroom is also located on the main floor and has a king bed and en suite bathroom with jetted tub. The laundry room and a half bath are conveniently located on the main floor.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The second and third bedrooms feature queen beds. The fourth bedroom has two bunk-beds each with a twin bed on the top and a full bed on the bottom - this is a great room for the kids! The three upstairs bedrooms share a full bathroom with shower / tub.

Snowshoe Village is just a four minute drive, or an on-call shuttle away. If adventurous, you can bike it in 15 minutes or "hike the hill" directly up to the Village.

* Please note there is a steep driveway leading to the view cabin. AWD / 4WD recommended in the winter season. We do our best to clear the driveway, but it can be difficult during heavy storms, as the cabin sits at the top of Snowshoe Resort.

We hope you will retreat to S. Westridge Rd to enjoy the skiing, mountain biking, hiking, golf, swimming, water sports, breweries and restaurants of Snowshoe Mountain Resort!

Snowshoe Mountain Resort runs a free, on-call shuttle along South Westridge Road to the Village and back. Use the number listed by the landline phone to request pick-up. To return, go to the drop-off location to pick-up a ride back to South Westridge Road.

There is plenty of space at Hidden Hollow to enjoy.

Further, our home features an ADDITIONAL PRIVATE SUITE attached to the main house with its own private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, deck, and dining room. So, not only will you have privacy from the rest of the world by staying in our home, you will also have privacy from your own family members if needed by spending time in the private suite.

In the backyard, we offer a charcoal grill for grilling sizzling steaks (please bring your own charcoal), and a fire pit for marshmallow and hot dog roasting.

PLEASE NOTE, a four wheel drive vehicle is required during snowy months! If you don't hit a snowstorm you should be fine without one, but if there is snow on the ground, you could get stuck if you don't have four wheel drive.

You will enjoy the privacy of a large, heavily wooded lot surrounded by mountain views in all directions, streams, and an abundance of wildlife located in a private secluded log cabin neighborhood. Guest have access to the entire cabin including a covered porch, deck, and outdoor firepit (firewood included.)

The cabin gets its water from a local stream and is equipped with an entire home UV light filtration system so it’s safe to drink. Guest will also enjoy a tankless water heater so no matter the size of your party a hot shower will always be ready.

The cabin and Pocahontas County are located in the National Radio Quiet Zone (NRQZ) as a result, cell phone coverage through the county and surrounding area is extremely limited and is unavailable at the cabin.

Guests will have access to the cabin's house phone and Wi-Fi internet. Most guests should be able to connect their cell phones to the cabin's internet and enjoy Wi-Fi calling on their cell phones and text messaging. The cabin's internet services are provided via satellite. As a result, on rare occasions service may be temporarily interrupted due to extreme weather conditions.

This cabin has a TV with ROKU, DVD player, and a nintendo Wii.

The kitchen has all the basics to cook with (I.e. pots, pans, utensils) but doesn’t have spices or oil stocked.

Bathroom towels, bed linens, dish soap and hand soap are provided. Shampoo and bath soap is not provided.

Due to the mountain location of this cabin access is provided by both paved and gravel roads. While the roads are plowed and maintained by the state and county, AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended especially in the winter months due to lots of snow and other weather conditions.

Please remember to review your directions prior to departure, cell phone service is limited in much of the area and may make use of some mapping or GPS services inoperable. We are happy to help with travel plans and provide directions to the cabin.

Due to the remote location of this property, there are two external security cameras that cover the cabin's entrance. The cameras are focused on the driveway, front door, and front porch.

This wasn’t an issue for us, just wanted to make sure others knew someone would be staying below them."

- "We can’t recommend this excellent mountain paradise enough. Every detail made this mountain rental feel like a true home. Perfect for families, the spacious layout gave us all space to relax and enjoy the serenity and quiet of the Weet Virginia mountains. The kitchen is very well stocked, and we made many meals at home during our stay. The outdoor deck is huge with wonderful views, and the backyard was great for our two dogs. The beds are comfortable, and the in suite bathrooms had everything we needed. The downstairs rec room is wonderful for entertaining. The surround system and theater setup made for great movie nights, and air hockey, billiards, darts, and more kept everyone entertained. The proximity to Snowshoe was so convenient, with a scenic 12 minute drive from our doorstep to the lifts. We skied each day and it was lovely to not rush and enjoy a home cooked breakfast before heading out. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing yet convenient stay in the heart of Pocahontas county. We can’t wait to go back!"

Brand New Cabin!! Skip the small, noisy hotel rooms and spread out in this charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath retreat with a full kitchen, cozy living space, and modern amenities. Step outside to unwind by the firepit or relax on the deck, soaking in the mountain views. With Snowshoe's activities just a short drive away, this is the perfect spot to relax after a day of adventure. Although it’s conveniently close to Rt. 219, allowing for easy access, there may be occasional road noise—though it’s quickly forgotten once you relax into the peaceful surroundings.
