It was perfectly cozy, spacious, and a breath of fresh air. The mountain up to the cabin was quite the surprise but such an adventure to experience with the family! *Booking Guest Age Minimum : 25 or older, Host reserves the ability to check ID.

*Occupancy: The maximum number of guests allowed is as per the booking details. No additional overnight guests are permitted without prior approval from the owner.

*Local Laws & Ordinances: Guests must comply with all local laws, rules, and ordinances during their stay.

*Pets: 2 Dogs less than 50 lbs ea allowed with a one-time $50 pet fee per week. Must be paid when booking. Exceptions may be made for registered service animals, but please notify us in advance. If approved, guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not cause damage or disturbances. Pets are not to be left alone unless crated. No pets on the beds please.

- "We had a fabulous time in this very cozy and clean home. Home owners were very responsive and welcoming. Tyler and Meredith made sure we were aware of tornado warnings in the area. All was good. We would stay again, if in the area. The only thing I’d do is bring my own bed pillow, personal preference. Great stay, great place." - "We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were responsive to questions and included a website and guidebook with detailed information about the area. The house was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook. Beds were comfortable. The space was a bit smaller than we expected but still nicely appointed and comfortable. The gas grill and fire table have gas lines running to them so they were easy to use. There's no view in the summer, but probably is in the winter without leaves. Location was great, on a quiet street just a short walk to the Wintergreen Lodge (hint: use the walking path that cuts through the condos instead of walking on the road). We did not realize it is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway so you can get some great driving views very quickly. There's a hiking trail you can pick up at the end of the block, and it's about a 2 minute drive to an overlook with vista views (great place to watch the stars at night). There are 4-5 Wintergreen restaurants within a few minutes. There's also a small market and gas station not far from the house. Drive down the mountain (about 10-15 minutes) to get to cideries, breweries, other restaurants, shopping, and other activities. The owners are very pet-friendly and left a dog bed, dog food bowls, and even biscuits! One thing to note: there's no regular "yard" so when you have to walk your dog, you'll need to walk to the road and look for patches of grass. Overall it's a great place!"

Our spacious chalet in Wintergreen Resort is approximately, a 10-minute walk to the ski slopes on the next street over. 3 spacious suites plus a sleeping loft, hot tub, fire pit, pool table, chef's plus so many other unique features not found anywhere else on the mountain. Easy access with only a few steps down from the parking area into the main level. Private and peaceful, yet less than one mile to the main ski lodge at Mountain Inn, where you can enjoy a cup of Starbuck's at the coffee shop or dine at several fabulous restaurants. Pool table, ping pong table topper, and 50” Smart TV in heated/cooled detached garage game room, great for those late night pool tournaments or games. Nearby hiking, waterfalls, breweries, & great restaurants. After a day of adventures, come home and gather around the fire pit or soak in the hot tub on the large private deck.

A room is located off the Great Room which can serve as either another relaxation space or can be converted into an additional private bedroom with a queen-size futon.
Another room which shares the fire place with the Great Room has a TV and game console.
The deck off of the Great Room has a propane grill and propane heat lamp.
The lower level of the home has all of the bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and a private office space.
In the summer months, guests have access to two community pools and a lake with picnic tables and play areas perfect for all ages.
Additionally, Wintergreen Resort has a spa that is open to the public! They offer many services and all rates/services are available on the resort website.

This cozy cabin allows you to unplug, unwind, soak up the mountain air and find the magic with the ones you love to travel with. Centrally located with just a short walk to the main Wintergreen Resort, market, and an abundance of hiking trails including "The Plunge". This cozy cottage won't disappoint and has ample room for everyone. It is also walkable to the ski slopes (Tyro) in the winter!

Our cozy family cabin is located at Wintergreen in Roseland, VA. It is the ideal mountain getaway for families, students, couples, or individuals and we are a 15-20 minute walk or a 5-7 min bike/car ride from the resort offices. The space comfortably fits up to eight people, and the area offers activities that everyone can enjoy year-round!

The space
In addition to being known for its winter sports, the area is also a wonderful place for swimming, fishing, hiking, and rafting during the Spring/Summer months. Roseland/Nelson County (also referred to simply as "Wintergreen") is home to a number of wonderful vineyards, craft breweries, nature trails, and of course beautiful mountain views!

Our cabin is adjacent to the Wintergreen Resort which includes ski slopes, restaurants, and shops. They also offer various outdoor activities and public programs.

Our cabin has two bathrooms and three bedrooms (two king-sized beds and two sets of bunk beds), so the home can easily accommodate 6-8 people. It also features a full kitchen, dishwasher, deck, wireless internet, and a TV with Bluray/DVD Player.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware. There is also a coffee maker, washer/dryer, oven and microwave. You're welcome to use any of these items during your stay but please clean any used dishes before checking out and remove all perishable trash (see House Rules).

* Please note that we are not affiliated with Wintergreen Resort. Access to their facilities is limited to their public programs, which include winter sports, outdoor recreation, and periodic events. We cannot supply passes to their indoor pool, spa area, or guest services.

Guest access
The neighborhood surrounding the cabin is a quaint community of properties and vacation homes. Ours is located on a cozy cul de sac filled with greenery! We have a parking lot that can accommodate 2-3 small to mid-sized vehicles and there is additional street parking.

* Check In time is generally set at 1PM but is flexible. Please let us know if you'll be checking in before or after 1PM.

* If you are aware of another rental property on the mountain with comparable amenities that is being listed at a lower price than our property, feel free to let us know! We'd be happy to negotiate our rates with you depending on the season and demand.

*Managing Expectations Around Our Space:

Our property is cozy, charming, and is as pictured... but it's not perfect!

The home was built nearly half a century ago and has its quirks. We make updates incrementally but some of the furniture is well-loved along with a few outdated fixtures that are scheduled to be replaced. You may notice a few scuffs and discolorations that will just never come out no matter how hard we scrub. There might be a chip in a coffee cup or a cobweb in an impossibly high corner that can only be seen when light hits it a certain way...

While we do employ a trusted/experienced crew to clean thoroughly between every reservation, occasionally they miss a spot. So if you look hard enough, you may discover a dusty patch, a stray hair statically clinging to a sheet, or a random insect that snuck in from the surrounding woods (we're guests in their home after all :D).

With that said, we do our absolute best to keep everything tidy and comfortable for all visitors and are continuously updating and replacing things! If at any point you find that something doesn't look right, please just take a photo and alert us immediately so it can be resolved promptly. We're happy to work with guests on any and all issues they may encounter during their stay!

Come relax in our family getaway on the mountain! This 3-bedroom, 2-bath house is just a five minute walk off the lower Tyro ski slope. Our home has fast (5G) internet, fire sticks on all TVs to hook up your subscriptions, heated bathroom floors, a tankless water heater so you'll never run out of hot water in the shower, a gas fireplace, and a driveway ending at the front door. We know you will find your time here relaxing as you enjoy the mountain and surrounding area.

The space
Our home's main level is open and airy. There are two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a large space with kitchen, dining and living rooms. The kitchen is stocked with silverware, pots and pans, stove, toaster, oven, Keurig, crockpot and dishwasher. There is a grill on the outside deck.

The dining table seats 6, and there is ample seating around the TV and gas fireplace in the living room. We have flat screen TVs in the living area, the king bedroom, and the loft area all with firesticks so you can load your subscriptions.

The king bedroom has its own attached bathroom, tv, and beautiful views of the mountains. The queen bedroom is located away from the living area and has plenty of space to spread out.

Both bathrooms have heated tile floors, granite countertops, walk-in showers, and are stocked with basic needs such as shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper. We have a tank less hot water heater, so you will never run out of hot water.
There is a washer and dryer in the home, with a starter amount of laundry soap supplied.

Outside you'll find a deck with gorgeous seasonal mountain views. A gas grill is provided for easy, year round grilling. The front of the home has an exterior ski closet.

There is a second floor sleeping loft at the top of the spiral staircase which is a kid and teen dream! Four bunk twin beds ensure that all the kids have a place to sleep. Each bed has individual bunk reading lights. The entertainment space in the loft has a nugget to chill on, games, puzzles, and a TV (with firestick). The loft overlooks the main living area, and the opening can be closed with light blocking curtains.

We are in the mountains, and yes, you will encounter pests, mostly stink bugs and lady bugs, throughout your stay. We have a monthly pest service protect our property - but pests are common depending on the season. We do our best to keep mice away, but we cannot guarantee mice won't try to sneak in. Being in the mountains, pests, including but not limited to, insects, bugs, spiders, bees, rodents, and animals are all par for the course. You may encounter pests inside or outside our property. No refunds of any amount are provided because of pests at the property. Please keep in mind that protecting our property from pests is very important to us, as they can cause significant damage, and encountering pests is just part of having a home situated in the mountains in a wooded/forest environment.

Guest access
Our Mountain home is a perfect getaway for families or couples seeking a cozy, romantic getaway.

Guests can walk from our home to the Lower Tyro ski slope in less than five minutes. The Blueridge Parkway is just on top of the mountain line, and the Appalachian trail can be accessed from Wintergreen itself. There are also many hiking trails in and around Wintergreen to explore. There are many breweries and distilleries within an half hour drive, and the cities of Charlottesville, Waynesboro, and Lynchburg are all a short drive away.

You'll enter the home using a keyless entry touchpad. Parking is simple, our driveway goes right up to the front door, although in the winter months snow can make it inaccessable. There are also two parking spaces off the street with a stairway to the house for overflow parking or if the driveway is snowed in. You'll have access to the full house, with the exception of the locked owner's closet and basement storage area.

The home, unlike most Wintergreen properties, does have central air in the summer, although you will probably want to just open the windows as it is typically 10 degrees cooler on the mountain than in the valley. There are also fans in each room.

This property is about 1200 square feet. It is designed to accommodate families, and is not well suited to groups of 8 adults. The seating area in the living room and dining room are well suited for 4/5 adults and children, but larger groups of adults will most likely be more comfortable in another, larger property.

Escape the heat this summer! We have the perfect location and fantastic views year-round! Our home is across the street from the Eagle's Swoop ski run. In winter it is only about a 2-min walk to the slope… Easy to stop home for cocoa, yet far enough so you won't be bothered by the snowblowers & night skiers in the evenings. In Spring-Fall we are walking distance to the Mountain Inn, dining, hiking trails and Discovery Ridge. Perfect for families & couples. Dogs considered, case-by-case, $55 fee.

The space
All the comforts of home during your mountain getaway... Inside, vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows open the space. The updated kitchen and baths all boast granite counters and new fixtures. The dining area seats 6-7 people comfortably, and the living room features leather seating and a wood burning fireplace for cozy evenings. (Firewood provided!) The master bedroom has a king bed and private bath, and the 2nd downstairs guest room has a queen bed. A spiral staircase leads to the upstairs loft bedroom with two sets of bunks and its own tv area with video games. Great for the kids! All rooms have flatscreen cable TVs and WiFi internet is included. (Note: No central AC in these original Treeloft Village homes, but cool summer nights, the 3700 ft elevation and mountain breezes usually do the job perfectly, as our many repeat summer guests will attest! For the rare extreme heat, we do have AC units in the downstairs rooms and provide extra fans, just in case!)

We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay. To ensure this, we kindly ask you to observe the following policies:

*No Parties or Events: To maintain a peaceful environment and respect our neighbors, we do not permit parties, events, or large gatherings.

*No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside and outside the cabin. No illegal substances allowed on the premises.

*Booking Guest Age Minimum : 25 or older, Host reserves the ability to check ID.

*Occupancy: The maximum number of guests allowed is as per the booking details. No additional overnight guests are permitted without prior approval from the owner.

*Local Laws & Ordinances: Guests must comply with all local laws, rules, and ordinances during their stay.

*Pets: 2 Dogs less than 50 lbs ea allowed with a one-time $50 pet fee per week. Must be paid when booking. Exceptions may be made for registered service animals, but please notify us in advance. If approved, guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not cause damage or disturbances. Pets are not to be left alone unless crated. No pets on the beds please.

*Quiet Hours: To respect our neighbors and maintain a peaceful environment, we ask that you observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. During this time, please keep noise levels to a minimum, particularly when outdoors.

Note: Breaking any of these or any House Rules may result in immediate termination of your reservation.
