- "My husband and I stayed here for a few days to rest and recharge. It's such a nice, peaceful place. Although there are other houses, it's still incredibly private. If you like to hike, an entrance to Shenandoah National Park is very close. The host is very responsive. A couple of tiny changes would help. There was no dish brush to wash dishes. There were only enough dishes/silverware for 4 so when we ate 3 meals at the cabin we had to wash dishes a couple times a day. Having enough for 6 would be ideal. The trash can in the kitchen did not have a lid so in order to keep food odor down we had to bag trash ins smaller plastic bags. Overall a beautiful place!"

- "We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful resort" - "Location, amenities are great except there was 3 live and 1 dead wasp inside the cabin. My kids were scared to turn off the lights in case there's more hiding somewhere. Other than that, it was good location and amenities. Our small farm has Goats, Chickens, Ducks, Rabbits and sheep for you to visit and feed! Only us (next door) and our Tugboat and Airstream listings (opposite side of Lake) have access to the lake and property. The cabin has been newly remodeled with a rustic, shabby chic appeal. Many hand made items using salvaged materiel including the barn table, bathroom vanity, and beautiful chandelier created with a salvaged metal roof of an old fallen home on the property.

The space

The small private Lake is breathtaking, great for swimming, fishing, and boating. Enjoy a fire pit on the Mossy Island, accessible by bridge or boat. Explore miles of wooded trails and several natural streams with sandy beaches. 1/2 mile paved driveway boarders horse and cattle farm and is great for bikes, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, etc.

The Covered boat dock is all yours along with use of the kayak, stand up paddle board, rowboat, and paddleboat for adventures on the Lake! To the right of the boat house is a nice beach area where kids can play and gradually get their toes wet! Your personal fire pit with comfy Adirondack chairs sits between the cabins deck and the boat dock. Being so secluded has its benefits with no light pollution for a memorable stargazing experience.

Fishing on the stocked Lake is like nowhere else! 7lb+ Bass are not uncommon and Sunfish and Crappie are easy catching for the kiddos, you will be telling fish tales for years! We would like everyone to catch and release, so fishing will remain incredible here!

Wifi is available and usually fast enough to stream Netflix on the Family Room TV using the Roku. Although our internet is quite good for the Country, we cannot guarantee consistent access or speeds. We also provide a DVD/BluRay player and try to keep movies available for your use.

The main level bedroom has a memory foam/gel top queen bed with views of the forest. The Loft bedroom, which is open to the living area, has a luxurious king plush mattress, 2 hammock chairs, and the best views of the lake! PLEASE NOTE, the loft is only accessible by library ladder, there is a gate that can be installed at the top. If it’s a full house there is a queen pull out memory foam mattress in the family room with a flat screen TV and 2 reclining chairs. The cabin is fully outfitted with linens and towels for showers, please bring your own Lake/beach towels.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed should you choose to cook at home or, take a short 10-minute drive to town with many excellent restaurants. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, common spices, olive oil, cooking spray, and condiments (ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise) that you might need. There is plenty of room for a feast at the farm style dining table, which seats 6 comfortably.

The cabin has a trex deck facing the lake, a fantastic place to enjoy your morning coffee or your evening cocktail. There is a gate that can close off the deck for pets and children. There is plenty of seating on the deck with a table for dining and a Gas Grill. You may even treat yourself to a seasonal outdoor shower, serenaded by sweet songbirds. Speaking of birds it is a birdwatchers paradise!

You will most likely meet our golden-doodle Mabel. She is extremely friendly but please do let us know if she's a bother. She enjoys meeting new guests and their furry companions and is wonderful with kids!

FAQ:
Are fishing poles provided? Yes, we try keep at least 1 fishing pole at the boat dock in case you forget your own! We are also happy to share our personal tackle box and extra poles, just ask.

Bait: We find it best to use worms or artificial lures like rubber worms.

Fish: We have Bass, Crappie, and Sunfish at Lake Glen Haven.

Guest access
The Cabin, boat dock, fire pit, and yard around the cabin is all yours. Shared use of the entire 142 Acres, Trails, Private Lake, and Island. Although there is the privacy fence, please feel free to walk behind our home and travel the path to get the island. Our home sits about 200 ft away should you need anything, but guests privacy is our top priority!

Other things to note:
Dogs are welcome (**Please let us know when you book if you plan to bring your dog**), but must be house trained and friendly with kids and other dogsand animals. We are allowing a maximum of 2 dogs in the cabin at one time. There is an additional $125 fee per pet paid prior to arrival. If your dog is wet/muddy there is a specified dog towel in a bin in the utility closet. Please do not use bath towels to dry your dog! No pets on furniture please if unable to do so please bring something to cover the furniture.

*We do have a 2 night minimum but have made a few exceptions in the past for a one night stay, if interested please inquire with us to figure out your stay.

Located 6 miles from the Swift Run Gap Entrance at Shenandoah National Park sits 'Just Us' a studio cabin in the woods recently updated and ready for our nature loving friends! The cabin features a gas fireplace, hot tub, outdoor firepit, and downstairs pool table. The property also features a .25 mile walking trail for your morning or evening walk! The cabin has T-Mobile internet with Rokus. 4WD or AWD is highly recommended for access. Property is approximately 15-20 minutes from Early Mountain Vineyards, 30 minutes from Barboursville Vineyards, 20 minutes from Elkton Brewing Company, and 30 minutes from Massanutten Resort.

- "A wonderful cabin! Comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The hot tub was wonderful and so was the gas fireplace and outdoor firepit. It's. tricky drive, but manageable if you just take it slow! **For your information, there are exterior security cameras located at both the main entryway and the rear of the property, both of which are motion-sensored and record only the exterior and public areas of the property.

You can get to Charlottesville in 25 minutes, Harrisonburg in 30 minutes, Massanutten Ski Resort in 25 minutes and the Shenandoah National Park entrance is only 15 minutes from the house. You can enjoy countless trails, views and waterfalls in just minutes. We are also located on the wine trail! There are over 30 wineries within driving distance from our home. Three of which are within 15 minutes drive-time. Golf at our local course only 9 minutes away.

There are a few restaurants close to the house in the town of Stanardsville. They have Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Dominos Pizza. There is also a gas station, Dollar General and supermarket. The supermarket and gas station sell beer and wine. The liquor store is about 15 minutes away in the town of Ruckersville next to the Walmart.

Experience beautiful views of the lake and sunrise. You don`t even have to leave the house to see these!

Gas fireplace in the living room and 3-season porch. Air-conditioning/heat throughout. Water softener, microwave, range, toaster, toaster oven, Keurig (coffee included), coffee pot, French press, side-by-side refrigerator and dishwasher for your convenience.

Private pier available to dock your boat (No Gas Engines). Recreational activities include boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. All water equipment is available as part of the property rental. This includes 2 canoes, 2 SUP (Stand Up Paddle) boards, 4-person paddle boat, kids kayak, regular kayak, and floats. There is a gas grill, 2 hammocks, cornhole boards, disc golf, horseshoe pits, zipline and tree swing. There is a stream that runs through the property so the kids can catch crayfish or pan for gold.

You have access to the entire house and property except for the 2 owners` closets.

There is no public transportation near the house. The house does have access to taxi service but no Uber or Lyft.

Other than Wi-Fi, the internet also has access via ethernet cord via wireless router.

There are TV`s in every bedroom, living room and the three season porch. Each TV is equipped with a Roku for your entertainment.

The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are on a mini-split system. Each unit is operated by the remotes located on the wall directly inside each door. Just set the desired temperature on the remote. The main air conditioning unit is located in the living room area. The three season porch has three fans and a fireplace.

DESCRIPTION: This is for a 2-bedroom furnished cabin at Shenandoah Crossing which includes: fireplace, full bath, and full kitchen with kitchenware supplied. There is a deck with a gas grill. Toiletries, paper goods, linens, and towels are supplied. The living area and bedrooms have nice sized flat screen televisions. Activities normally available, but subject to change: miniature golf, activity room with game machines, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, playground, horseback riding, billiards, ping pong, horseshoes, tennis courts, basketball court, trails, etc. Some activities may have fees. There is a lake for fishing and paddleboats. Equipment and supplies may be rented/purchased at marina (closed Oct - April). Although the marina is seasonal, you may enjoy the lake year-round if you bring your own equipment and supplies. Golf carts are available for rental.

Parking is available at no charge for one vehicle per reservation. Additional parking is located near the Equestrian Center and Smokehouse.

Other add-ons are worth it - horseback riding, horse and carriage - and when they open for the season - kayaks and paddle boards). Great Communication with the owner - she helped us get activities booked before our trip. Recommend you stop at the grocery store in Gordonsville on the way in (there is a full kitchen and gas grill at the cabin) and the BBQ place there is amazing for a family dinner. After realizing that this wasn’t the first time that this sad looking creature had been lurking in the Shadows, Buck decided that it was time this animal had a home. But we just used youtube on our phone to watch marathons as we fell asleep. Wifi is great. We had great cell reception, calls and text. Ruckersville offers resturants and that was excellent. Cant complain about steps, youre in a tree house! Lol But I sure made sure I carried belongings to and from vehicle at one time. Parking area was a little difficult to manuver truck in, but doable. Bring your large group of family or friends to The Cabin if you are looking to hike, relax, or check out the many wineries, cideries, restaurants, and breweries in Nelson County. You can comfortably sleep 18. It is located in an extremely serene environment, but close to small grocery stores, local restaurants, wineries, cideries, and breweries and hikes. The view off the back deck is breathtaking and the home offers many spots for everyone to relax and enjoy.
The space
You will enter into the large living area and dining room. The living area has a wood burning fireplace and large tv and stunning views of the valley below and the mountains. The dining table seats 8 comfortably. There is a half bath off of the living/dining area. From the dining room you enter into the spacious fully equipped kitchen. There is a laundry room for your use off of the kitchen. Downstairs in the basement are 2 bedrooms. One has a full pullout sofa and the other has 2 bunkbeds with queen beds on the bottom and twins on top. There are also 2 single beds in this room. The basement includes a large living area with sofas, a small table with 2 chairs, and a full bath with a shower (no tub). In the garage you will find a ping pong table that is sure to be fun for all! On the top floor of the home there are 2 queen bedrooms each with their own attached full bathrooms. The lofted area includes a game/poker table with seating for 10. There are two more queen bedrooms on this level as well as a full bathroom.

The neighborhood is easy to drive with street names well marked. It is great for walking and exploring as well. The driveway can easily park multiple vehicles. Guests have access to the home and surrounding property.

Come stay in our charming cabin nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located behind a beautiful historic home on 7 acres, you will surely be enchanted by the views, scenic riverside amenities, and a private hot tub. This cabin is the perfect respite for two. It is exclusive to the occupants of the cottage. You can also take a stroll down to the back of our property to enjoy the gorgeous riverside views. Coming soon is our general store, located at the entrance of the historic Roseland Manor. You will find candles, incense, soaps, and other handmade goods, made in house by Michelle. The general store was once the Post Office here in Lowesville. You will find much of the store in tact today.

Cabin is owned and managed by Triple C Property Solutions LLC. New Cabin with full kitchen, 1 Bathroom and 1 Bedroom with queen bed. Sofa in living room is also a pull-out queen bed. Large wrap around porch with sitting and gas firepit. Outside also has wood firepit, sitting furniture, picnic table, park grill and hammock. Enjoy a short hike to our other property with a pond and Roach River. Pond had a park grill, seating and picnic table. We call this cabin Little Red for it is the only known Eastern Red Cedar cabin in the state of VA.
Well provides great tasting water. Well water inspected and on file with Greene County Health Dept. Cabin also has whole home water filter.

Guest access
Cabin is surrounded by 10 acres of land you can hike map is in the cabin. You have walking access down Touchstone to our primary residence with trail to river and pond. Pond has park grill, seating and picnic table. Touchstone is a private gravel road and guest are welcome to walk Touchstone. Some residents on Touchstone have dogs that are friendly, and they may come greet you or just bark at you to say hello.

Other things to note
Cabin is located in a great community in the country that is mainly very quiet but, in the country, you may hear dogs bark from time to time. Also in the country you may experience a bug. You may even hear a gunshot now and then from someone target shooting or during hunting season. If you walk Touchstone a few residents have dogs that may run out and greet you, but they are friendly. Cabin is child friendly but not child proof. Gas stove gets very hot and will burn at the touch. Vinyard is located close to cabin and during frost season, usually April, they have a windmill that blowers warm air to prevent killing the buds. Only runs when frost warning but can be loud like a helicopter. When hiking please take out what you took in, no trash left behind please.

The space
This cottage is located near the site of an old mountain homestead. It was located here due to the ever flowing spring located in the valley below. The subsistence mountain farm which was located here fell into ruins in the late 1800s. Many of the old stone walls and the ruins of a small barn are located just below the cottage.
For many years a rough, smaller cottage was on this site. In the late 1990s Alun and Norma, owners of the adjacent property, were able to acquire this beautiful, mostly wooded valley and begin plans for Chestnut Hills Cottage. The original cottage was renovated and enlarged, decks built, and hot tub installed. Alun did most of the work on the cottage himself, along with help from family and summer students.
While the cottage is surrounded by two acres of lawn, the balance of the property is mature forest with Blue Run, a mountain stream below in the valley.
We are located in the center of Virginia Wine Country and 4 miles from the eastern boundary of Shenandoah National Park.

Our combined properties in this valley are a nature reserve. We are very close to Shenandoah National Park and during the year we are visited by many animals including bunnies, deer, black bear, skunks, coyotes, possums, eagles, hawks and variety of other birds that use the Blue Ridge as a flyway. . We do not permit any hunting or flying of drones on this nature reserve.

The space
This is an 9' x 24' tiny house on wheels was custom built for us by a master craftsman in Bristol Tennessee in 2022. It offers everything an individual or small group of travelers would need to enjoy their stay in the mountains. The comfy sleeping loft features a king size memory foam mattress and luxurious down-alternative duvet. The second loft has loads of super soft pillows and pads for hanging out and watching TV, for kids to enjoy some quiet time alone, or to use as a second bedroom. The fully stocked kitchen has utensils as well as food items ready for you to cook up a gourmet meal! The internet is high speed fiber so you can work or play online all day long if needed.

Guests are welcome to use all parts of the tiny house and have access via a wooden path to the lake that is on the property.

We have parking for two standard size vehicles. Oversized vehicles and trailers are not allowed.

Please understand that this is a tiny house and so things are all scaled down in size. We've setup the space so that it is as comfortable as possible given the space restrictions. The bedrooms and bathrooms both come fully equipped with all of your sheets and linens. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all of your cooking essentials (and then some) if you plan on cooking during your stay. When morning comes, a Coffee Maker and French Press are at the ready. Our outdoor propane grill is yours to use as well. We even have an outdoor heater!

Our family room features a beautiful wood burning fireplace. Don’t forget to stock up on wood!

The space
The Chestnut Cabin on Fortunes Ridge is probably the most unique home in the Wintergreen community.

Built in 1976 from reclaimed chestnut logs transported from a rare two story log cabin in Western Maryland, the house was “put back together” in a story and a half design. The fireplace stones were likewise reclaimed and reassembled.

The original house would have been two large rooms on the main level and two large spaces in a loft above.

The wide plank pine flooring was also reused. Supplied by Mountain Lumber in Nelson county the unusually wide planks are very scarce.

The current owners enlarged the back half of the cabin, removing a “kids” loft and adding a sunroom with cathedral ceilings. The outdoor decking has a wonderful view to the east.

Dovecotte Ridge is a charming, modern cabin with a spacious open floor plan, large back deck (Weber grill-you'll have to provide charcoal and light fluid), and covered front porch. There is a 44" Flat-screen TV equipped with Total ROKU for Streaming shows and movies, high speed unlimited data wireless internet, and a Bluetooth speaker for music. The beds have new, high quality memory foam mattresses, a large 36" fire pit with Adirondack chairs, kayaks and more. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, large stainless steel double door Refrigerator, a stainless steel island for food prep or breakfast with two stools for seating, dishwasher, microwave, standard coffee maker. The dining room table seats 6. There is central heat and air conditioning, fresh towels and linens, laundry room.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway where nature surrounds you. This recently finished cabin was built with lumber from the property. You may see many different types of wildlife during your stay and they are represented throughout the decor and furnishings.

There are multiple seating areas inside and outside. It also has views of a private pond on the property where you may see wildlife such as geese, ducks, or deer. This is a place to get back to basics and connect with nature.

Escape the heat this summer! We have the perfect location and fantastic views year-round! Our home is across the street from the Eagle's Swoop ski run. In winter it is only about a 2-min walk to the slope… Easy to stop home for cocoa, yet far enough so you won't be bothered by the snowblowers & night skiers in the evenings. In Spring-Fall we are walking distance to the Mountain Inn, dining, hiking trails and Discovery Ridge. Perfect for families & couples. Dogs considered, case-by-case, $55 fee.

The space
All the comforts of home during your mountain getaway... Inside, vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows open the space. The updated kitchen and baths all boast granite counters and new fixtures. The dining area seats 6-7 people comfortably, and the living room features leather seating and a wood burning fireplace for cozy evenings. (Firewood provided!) The master bedroom has a king bed and private bath, and the 2nd downstairs guest room has a queen bed. A spiral staircase leads to the upstairs loft bedroom with two sets of bunks and its own tv area with video games. Great for the kids! All rooms have flatscreen cable TVs and WiFi internet is included. (Note: No central AC in these original Treeloft Village homes, but cool summer nights, the 3700 ft elevation and mountain breezes usually do the job perfectly, as our many repeat summer guests will attest! For the rare extreme heat, we do have AC units in the downstairs rooms and provide extra fans, just in case!)
